So is anything going to be happening that may revive the coin or is it basically dead at this point?
for starters, first POS android client is on its way. This has been dragging on quite awhile now. You are the second person to attempt this. I'm confident your intentions are good and honorable and you have limitations on your time/resources to complete this task but.... Any way to bring in some help to see this completed sooner rather than later? It was mentioned by a number of people that having the wallet mint was secondary to just having a mobile wallet. If an android wallet didn't need the minting function, would it have been completed by now? Just curious. No. I haven't done anything specific to add minting function yet. All the changes so far was to make bitcoin android library work for a POS coin without comprimising its security. And now the changes are complete, the library is running in the wild, connected to random nodes on the network (helps finding bugs once in a while) As a side effect of required changes for POS security verifications, adding staking to the library became very easy -- it wasn't the initial target at all. Not sure if there's any task I can offload to anyone else at this time. mrqu1cky sent his branding changes for android app, so it made things much easier, a huge thanks. Actually it will probably work just fine now if I just bind the library and app together, and release them. But it'll require a full blockchain download that would last for a couple of hours, so I don't want to release it in this state, it'll scare the users and undermine all the development done so far. There are some changes I want to make on the android app so initial blockchain sync problem gets resolved before release, and one extra feature we have been talking with David Latapie. have you guys heard of http://www.quickcoin.co/? it lets you send btc REALLY easily to your facebook friends. much easier than all those tipbots. And they are working on implementing other social networks and whatsapp. I would suggest a bounty for them for a Mintcoin implementation. I would contribute 200k. You think we can get a couple BTC for this project? |

is it possible to sort the transactions by type in the overview window. I'm getting a lot of orphaned mined blocks in the recent transactions which are then not accepted. that's just confusing. i just want to see the actually mined blocks. thank you |

not everyone has trading accounts bei mintpal AND cryptsy. but the whole selling at those prices is either just desperation or manipulation. i think it's just the reaction to the rising price of btc.

I will be looking for additional sponsors for the SC Redwood Reforestation project soon. Headed to Austria on Thursday for 6 weeks, where I will be able to work from my laptop. After that, I will be at the project site starting June 18th.
I am working with the land owners/foresters to get some new pictures of the site, should have those today or tomorrow.

Hey everyone. I dont know if anyone has done it yet, but heres the latest Windows wallet with minting icon and tooltip. Another minor change is that it now sorts all transactions by Date. instead of Status. Just unzip and copy to your mintcoin folder. for safety i suggest to backup your .dat and old mintcoin-qt just in case. https://www.dropbox.com/s/n5vo29iagx3htef/mintcoin-qt.zipHeres how it looks:  Im not the one who implemented it. I just compiled it. Big thankyouz goes to skwurp from github.  PS. Wallet may be bit laggy during sync. Once its synced, it will work perfectly. That's awesome. no it appeared just at the launch of the wallet. and then the wallet crashed without opening. i've tested the wallet posted a couple of pages back. it works now. are there any faucets out there? the one posted in the initial posting is dead. thank you!

guys i can't get the fluttercoin wallet to open. i'm on mac, mavericks. it crashes everytime I accept incoming network transactions. sth about EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION.

Would be nice to have the multipool integrated into the wallet. Could you extrapolate on this? I was having a read of various new ANN's for new coins and I found greenpay https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580400.0 . Their coin is supposedly going to have their multipool attached into the wallet, so you can mine from your wallet, even though it is pure POS. You can mint and mine all in the wallet (no i dont mean solo mining), you link the multipool URL. i don't wanna sound blackcoin-like but maybe it is possible to integrate this multipool thingy in our wallet BEFORE greenpay goes active? That way we can be at least as good as our competitors. I don't think it is too difficult to implement or is it? The other aspects of greenpay sound exactly as mintcoin. or do they have any special features? |
