Guys, what premine? What are you talking about?
How stupid should be devs to take 80% of ALL coins? It's imposible to dump such a massive amount. It's hard to dump even 100 mil now, not 150 bil.  Even a schoolboy understands this =)

my guess is that it was just a test coin and then they just decided to get it known and  dump it for a few BTC.

Thats my favorite theory also.

It's very easy to make a clear launch and start mining new coin. Then you would be able to dump this mined coin and get much more BTC then trying to dump "80% premined coin". I think I'm doing "Economy lessons for dummies" today =)

Monero as an example I think.

Didnt they try to launch monero and with merge mining to bytecoin but their plan backfired?

Yeah. Merge mining MRO/BCN is the best decision now in my view. But it's gone =(

Why my cpuminer shows 500 H/s , but at minergate I can only see something like 100-120 H/s ? Last cpuminer version. The same thing occurs at extremepool.

Is this another Bitcoin's fork? I am confused what means "cryptonote" ? new to this - any tips, please

No, it's not a fork.

Hello, also has a problem with daemon. My deamon says sync data returned unknown top block? In yellow letters?

Is that mean it's not synced with the latest block yet? What should I do except waiting? It's a lit bit annoying not to know what's happening.

Its normal. Daemon is syncing block. You should wait or download blockchain from off. site.

Comkort was the first exchange willing to add BCN and yet there is no BCN there.

Any thoughts why? and when they are going to add BCN to their exchange?

I've seen monero frozen for few minutes two days ago. I thinks it's normal.

How is Bytecoin different from Monero?

Monero is BCN fork  Wink

Without 80% premine Wink Wink

Congratulations! We have new annoying guy here.
You are invited into "International Smooth's Annoying Team". All members of this perfect team can post helpful info about premine several times a day. Great achievement in my view =)

How many coins have been mined ?

You can use blockexplorer: https://minergate.com/blockchain/bcn/blocks
154 billions

On MinerGate pool coins are not confirmed 15 hours!
Is this normal?
Same here. My coins are stuck inside. Got a couple of MRO and BCN in there.
Me too. They are probably dumping our coins.

You guys need to chill, Minergate has already stated that they are fixing the issue as we speak. If you are not ready for issues with a beta type system, then this is not the coin for you.

Also, you guys are spreading this 80% pre-mine FUD and have no idea what you are talking about. There was no pre-mine, its just that coin was being mined for 2 years before it was every discovered and posted on this forum.

And smooth, why the hell do you waste so much time in this thread if all you want to do is degrade and talk shit about it. You are the prime source of all this FUD

Yes, smooth is really a very annoying guy.

lol @ this premine ( dump and run guy,s )

You are very smart. I'm impressed. Could you please go mining monero?

I am fond of new web site design but its a kinda unusual to get everything there.

I think I used to work with old one. Really miss it

As far as I can remember somewhere in this thread there was a link for the old website. Try to search for it.  Wink

Oh really. Do you have any idea where those timestamps come from?

If they stored a hash of the the BCN genesis block into the BTC blockchain buried back in 2012, I'd be somewhat impressed. Timestamps in their own blockchain, not so much.

You never miss a beat, do you smooth. You're like the Cryptocoin conspiracy theorist.

Why would a group of people who devoted so much time and thought, create a lie about something as trivial as a date.

To justify keeping 150 billion coins instead of relaunching it upon release.

You want it all handed to you on a silver platter. Do remember that the devs never publicly posted this to the forum and never attempted to spread it to the bitcoin community. No ANN or Re-launch. It was discovered and posted by DStrange and spread by a lot of the people involved with Monero whether it be Devs or Early adopters, myself included. So once again, the need for them to lie is very moot at this point.

+1

It's useless to argue with smooth about bytecoin. He has his own religion. It's like him believing in Flying Spaghetti Monster. We cannot claim him for his religion =)

Tens of thousands of people in original community. LOL  Cheesy

Difficulty is 16mil now. It's for about 133 KHashes/sec. Average cpu gives 5-10 H/sec. So, about 13-26 thousands of machines. Am I wrong?

Average CPU is actually about 20 H/s. It was 10 H/s before the recent optimization in slow_hash.c. That puts it at ~6000 CPUs (which corresponds to probably less than 2000 miners)

Difficulty was ~50-100k from July 2012 - January 2014, so 80% of the coins are not distributed among a "5-digit number" user base. More like 100 (simple math of diff to hashrate to number of PCs).

50k difficulty = 416 hash rate = 20 PCs at 20 H/s or 40 PCs at 20 H/s. Not even 100.

20 H/s  ? BEFORE optimization? It's not average computer, man =))

Hmm.. Missed the optimization, thanks.
