221  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: September 29, 2014, 02:14:11 PM
You might be right on some thing and wrong on others.

1.  I would never send my miners to Bitmain Mining  Data center for any reason. And I pick which pools i mine in not Bitmain.  I host them where the cost is best for me.  So your statements do not hold allot of weight

2.  You have no way of knowing if the BTC that was purchased as a investment will be dumped.  Most muliti Millionaire investors are way smarter then you or I.  I would be very surprised if the BTC got dumped.  They know how to make $$$$ or they would not be were they are in this tough world.

3.  Your statements is a clear indication that your only in this to make short term $$$$$.  So if that's what your about do not blame Bitmain.  Bitmain makes a quality product, there in business to make $$$,  if you do not like there product do not buy it.  But do not slam them publicly for it.

4.  Everyone that is in the mining business has to determine if the cost can be managed, yes the monthly coast expensive, and Equipment if not purchased correctly, is expensive.  And yes the drop in BTC price will cause allot of miners off line. I am still making $$$ at it.

5.  The mining pools that will grow, does so due to the fact they have a quality pool, is reliable, pays the mining fees consistently with out delay.  Thus has a value service that miners wants.  Do not over take the 51% of mining capacity.  There ARE SEVERAL GREAT POOLS OUT THERE.

That's my 3 cents worth.......

I have a question for everyone running the New S3+  What size power supplies are you running and when over clocking to 500GHZ what is the power consumption are you seeing.

I have 7 new s3+ on the way to me and need to order power supplies.

Thanks

The S4 are cheaper then we paid for the S2 and I have achieved ROI on all my Bitmain equipment.   Th 1295 price with coupon is not a bad price.  You will fined free shipping on a heavy device by any seller is getting very unusual.  Not the norm any more.

Just my 2 Cents.

I have 5 S2 and they run 24 x 7 and have never stopped.  I have updated to the latest firmware.  Why do you not call there support in Denver Co there great, instead of flaming them on a public form.

 Huh

I bet the upgrade for the s2 will be well worth it thats for sure. Smiley
227  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: September 16, 2014, 08:27:24 PM
I would think the upgrade kits foe the s2 out in 4 to 6 weeks probably about the same amount of time like the s3 KITS
228  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: September 15, 2014, 02:55:26 PM
Look at the bitcoin value. less then $480 USD per BTC  I see why the price is what it is.

I am extremely happy with Bitmain Tech.  There  support is excellent, they have local us support staff and management that can make decisions.  I would give them a call.

I have 7 S-1 and 5 s-2 and each and ever issue i have had they have taken care of quickly and professionally.

I would Google search Bitmain Tech Denver Colorado  that 800 number is answered and things get taken care of.

Just my 2 cents worth.  Just ordered 7 S-3+ upgrades and Waiting for the details on the S-4 upgrades when ever they come out.

I have complete ROI in less then 4 months.

Rumor has it that the S4 is in testing and evaluation,  I can not deny or confirm this, but it seems like there on schedule that they stated when they announced the s2 upgrade in the future. They claimed September or October.  So I would think we should get confirmation of something soon.  I am one who is very much waiting for the s2 upgrade.

One thing i found out with Bitman.  Call there Denver Colorado office, they do have a 888 toll free number,  there support is excellent.  They were awesome to work with and were able to send a replacement warranty part and all is good.  They have access to software uodates that work and can assist via remote connection also.

Bitmain has my business.

Being a IT company owner for 29 years now, i have seen good and bad.  I have no patience for hardware vendors that do not support there products.  I can assure you Bitmain has been great with me.

Well Baddw

Read Wizkids statement  as written More Hash power more blocks. It is all about statistics.   Well then read every one else statements blocks found is basically luck.

I am not here to get into a war over words but, it is a fact that the amount of blocks and the extend time between blocks hurts the pool.  And Eligius Pool has had large number of hours between blocks found.  This is a fact.

The percentage of shelved shares is not shrinking it is growing, so if the shelved shared are growing not shrinking then the pool is not doing so will in the blocks found department.

I am not complaining, it is what it is and no one has any ability to change it.

How can the pool average 8 blocks a day when it is 10 - 12 hours between blocks; look at the last week average 4 ma by 5 blocks for a 9.6PB Hash pool lol.

the statement of more hash means more blocks is not playing out to well.

But i do understand it is all luck, and statistics as wizkid states.  I would say more luck.

Another pools luck stats Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days): 107%, 103%, 93%

Eligius Stats 10 Blocks 60.43  last 12 hours 27.1 24 Hours 80.02 7 Days 76.15 30 Days 82.67

And the other pool has half the hash power lol

Man i hate Stats.

Wow now going on 3 days with only 4 blocks found per 24 hours, geee what bad luck for 9PB in hashing
239  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: August 19, 2014, 08:54:58 PM
Bitmain how about a updated flash image for the S1, and s2 , and s3 with the latest cgminor in it.

I would think that would be the best way to insure people with update it.
