221  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Inflation is a big problem for a country? on: February 10, 2022, 11:56:21 AM
We all know that Inflation in the US economy is at an alarming rate. Not the only USA, but Inflation is also a big problem for many countries globally, and it seems there is no way to stop it. Is it impossible to stop inflation in fiat currency or govt don't want to take any action it stop it? Do you think people can do anything to stop inflation in their economy or its inevitable?

Inflation cannot be stopped unless the money supply is limited. Since governments are all the time printing money, this will devalue the currency and is the major factor for inflation.
In order put the inflation on halt, either the government strictly do not allow printing of currency notes (which they will hardly stop) or start using a inflation free currency like bitcoin (which is also very unlikely).

If the Fed stopped printing money then economical growth will be stopped or we can say it will not be visible. We need to understand why they print more money every month. Govt print more money to increase the demand for products and services. More demands mean more work for the people which will reduce the unemployment rate. People will have money in their pocket so they will spend more money which will give govt more taxes and boost the economy.

But printing more money to pay the debt is a very bad idea which most of the govt does and that is the reason Inflation destroying the economy not boosting it.

Thinking of war this time will be far more deadly and this will be world war 3 because it will involve many countries, I checked the nuclear weapons in USA and Russia, both countries dominates and it will not be easy at all, this will lead to destruction of live and fertile environment.

Using nuclear weapons will be the last choice. If a country like Russia or North Korea would going to falls due to war then it will surely use its nuclear arsenal to destroy its enemy with them. Nuclear weapons won't be used in a regional conflict. It gives the balance of power and no matter how crazy a country leader would be no one wants the destruction of their people. One country using nuclear weapons means a full-scale nuclear war ignite which will unlikely to happens ever.
223  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Inflation is a big problem for a country? on: February 10, 2022, 08:37:21 AM
Inflation is not really a big problem, inflation beyond target is. And it is not that there is no way to stop it, because economies desire it in the first place. So it is not a question of whether it is impossible to stop inflation or not as there is actually no attempt to stop it. In the current economic system, inflation is indeed an integral part. Inflation incentivizes a lot of things. Wages increase, loan value decreases, consumption increases, and so on. So prices of goods and services have to increase, albeit moderately.

So all those media talking about the Inflation problem is total nonsense? I know Inflation is good in certain conditions like when we have a lot of unused resources and labor force then inflation can boost production. But too much inflation will slow down the economy because interest is high and peoples are more focused on savings, not spending. Less spending = fewer demands, fewer demands = less production, less production = less labor which causes the unemployment problem.

I do not think it's impossible to stop but we don't need to stop it on the other hand we don't need unnecessary inflation either.
224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why putin choose winter? on: February 09, 2022, 03:47:22 PM
Putin choose winter because every country that ever fought the Russians failed because of the winter.Russia has all the gas and oil it needs to maintain a perpetual war machine and a nuclear arsenal to back it up if it ever fails.Russia are effectively undefeatable using military means. Also their people are more resilient to hardship than western societies so winter would prove harder on our soldiers and citizens because we are soft whereas they are hard muddafuddas. If we engage in war with Russia over Ukraine which is literally ran by neo nazis then Europe will be the first to fall and after that anything goes.

Have You ever heard of "Rasputitsa"? Russia is not only known for winter but also for Rasputitsa. In spring and autumn, it's impossible to move with heavy machinery through unpaved roads because of the rain and melting snow. Those heavy Russian tanks will be useless in such conditions so it's better to do offensive in winter when the ground is solid.

War can not be won only by machinery but with manpower. And to properly fed the huge Russian army they need money for the provision and salary of the soldier. We all know Russia's economic condition right now so it's totally suicidal for Russia to start a full-scale war.

Had none of these NATO talks by Ukraine reached a climax, we wouldn't see Putin be so eager.

You are right about it because Putin knows the full annexation of Ukraine with Russia will create so many insurgents in Ukraine and the Kremlin doesn't want that. Putin just wants to make sure Ukraine will not join NATO anyway and he will surely use force if he had to. Biden doesn't want to take one step back either and wants Ukraine to be part of NATO so that he can put more pressure on Russia.

228  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why russia wants to invade ukraine? on: February 08, 2022, 09:17:26 AM

I think Russia will not attack Ukraine if USA provides guarantee that Ukraine will not be given NATO membership, in simple words they don't like see hostile forces in their neighborhood.  Russia seems genuinely concerned about that, and are valid in their assessment that Ukraine joining the EU would be seen as provocation.

https://www.quora.com/Why-is-Russia-invading-Ukraine

If you read my points carefully then you will understand it's not only about Ukraine joining NATO. Russia already has some neighboring country that is with NATO. Russia is observing the situation for a long time and waiting for a chance to cripple Kyiv so that they can not pose any threat to Russia in the future. Joining NATO is just an excuse but there is more than one reason behind this movement. No matter Ukraine joins NATO or not Russia will invade Ukraine and give autonomy to the regional govt in Ukraine so that the whole country can not work unitedly.
229  Other / Politics & Society / Why russia wants to invade ukraine? on: February 07, 2022, 01:42:59 PM
A democratically governed neighbor is something Russia cannot stand. Democracy on its doorstep would unavoidably seek to the west for legitimacy and Liberal principles, linking itself with organizations such as the EU and NATO in the process. This doesn't matter it's true or not but this is how Russia sees it. In my observation, these are some main points behind Russia's aggression.

  • Ukraine's flat terrain merge with Russia's mainland and there are no natural obstacles between them. That means if Ukraine joins NATO Russia needs to expand its spending on military infrastructure and troops to secure its western border with Ukraine which Putin can not do. This could bankrupt Russia economically.

  • Russia's territorial integrity would be jeopardized by NATO's involvement in Ukraine. The Black Sea Coast of Ukraine is located around 750 kilometers from the Caspian Sea. A trained military force could cover that distance in a day or two. As a consequence, a land bridge between the Russian heartland and the North Caucasus would be built, crippling the Russian state.
  • Ukraine is stockpiling strategic arms from the USA and it has a large quantity of anti-tank missiles which could be proved deadly for Russian tanks. Also, Turkis drone seems deadly against Russian weaponry and Ukraine has established licensed facilities to produce them.
  • Ukraine is looking forward to developing its own missile program which is a serious threat to the Russian mainland.

Do you think there is anything more serious than this which causes this situation?
230  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Government Really Ban Crypto? on: February 04, 2022, 05:52:14 PM

I personally don't think so, the shot above says it all, Any government banning crypto is like Nokia and Android, if you know the story, then you understand what I mean, but for those who don't know the story, I will Share a little about.

When Android came out and major phone companies like Samsung, Tecko, Infinix etc, started producing Android powered phones, Nokia being one of the biggest(if not actually the biggest) phone company at that time(was even bigger than Samsung) being over confident in herself refused to switch to Android powered phones, instead they opted for windows phones which close to no one uses.

This singular decision did not only cause Nokia to loose its number 1 place in the phone industry, the owner(s) of the company later lost(sold) the company to Microsoft.
And you all can agree with me that Nokia isn't doing well today as they did back in the days.

This same thing will happen to countries that refuse to embrace crypto today.

If you want to know is it possible for the government to ban crypto then look at china and other countries where crypto is illegal. Are people from that region getting a hard time being in crypto? If yes then you have the answer.

In terms of decision banning, crypto is a bad idea. Evolution in human nature and society is correlated. Human society evolved with human nature. So if people want to enjoy the advantages of crypto then govt has to bend down one day.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Distribution on: February 04, 2022, 05:11:05 PM
It's important to mention Satoshi coins. they should be part of that graphic, and should have their own category because he owns 5% of the network with his 1M bitcoins.

And the lost coins are an important fact too that should be part of that graphic:

Code:
Data analytics firm Chainalysis estimates that about a fifth of all coins mined to date (somewhere between 2.78 and 3.79 million) are lost.

Source: https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2021/12/08/bitcoins-lost-coins-are-worth-the-price/

I think that chart is only showing those BTC that are in circulation. We do not know those 1M BTC from satoshis wallet will ever be active or not and that lost BTC is out of circulation permanently so they can not have any impact on the market at all.

I'm wondering how does this chart exactly defines "Miners BTC" vs "Others BTC excluding Exchanges". A miner can be a whale, humpback, or any one of the lists other than exchange. How did the chart owner separate miners BTC from a whale BTC? This is strange & really doubt the chart maker would come with a valid explanation' though I don't know if it can be defined/separated.

The chart just categorized BTC owners. Miner and exchange are not individual so it separates them into different categories.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: India's 30% tax on income from digital asset on: February 04, 2022, 04:52:24 PM
If you're wondering why they used 'Digital Assets' instead of 'Currency', they do not recognized crypto as a currency. The PM said it only becomes a currency when it is issued by the Central Bank (CBDC) and anything outside it is an Asset.

What are your thoughts on this?

They used "Digital Assets" because they are mentioning NFT too along with cryptocurrencies. They haven't passed any law about cryptocurrencies but implemented a tax on them. This is clear that they are discouraging their people to invest in crypto assets.  They implemented a tax for legalizing your crypto transaction but it's still unregulated in India. They were close to banning cryptocurrencies in India but haven't done it by seeing a lot of money invested there.

I think they are just trying to say "Do not invest in cryptocurrencies" indirectly.
233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Declares it is ready for war with American and European countries on: February 04, 2022, 04:33:17 PM
So Putin wants to be responsible for the next world war? If conflict escalated between that two superpowers then it won't be among them only. The whole world will take a side and start killing each other. But I think EU leaders are more realistic about the situation and will not start a proxy war for the USA. Germany said that they will not supply any weapon to the Ukraine military which means they know they need Russia for natural resources. The USA just trying to restore its pride by threatening Russia after being defeated by the Taliban. Otherwise, Ukraine is not that valuable for the USA to start a war.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Distribution on: February 04, 2022, 04:21:41 PM
What does the M mean on the charts?

It can't be million but I don't know what it could be 0.87 of otherwise...

A lot of whales will probably lose their funds, get bored, sell their coins or have something else happen to dethrone them as whales I think retail and institutions will become among the largest holders (there are probably a lot of whales that just sit watching their funds in their wallet or who actively participate in crypto - either via development or discussions in the community and those are probably well invested to see bitcoin prosper).

M means millions and it's the total number of BTC in that certain category. Here is the full news you can check by yourself.

I saw a guy's account who brought 40k BTC with an average price of 4k and still holding till now. He didn't book profit at 60k nor panic sell at 30k. It looks like he is enjoying the show and I am thinking what this man could do to the market if suppose BTC goes above 500k after 10 years from now. This is a smart investment by predicting the future or long-term market manipulation by building the future.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Distribution on: February 04, 2022, 03:30:18 PM

What do you think by seeing this bitcoin distribution chart? According to this chart whales and humpbacks are controlling over 31% of total bitcoin and retail investors are holding 23% of bitcoin. The price of BTC could be less volatile if more retail investors accumulate bitcoin or we could see more market manipulation by whales to shake out retail investors from the market? Which one is good for bitcoin in the long run?

236  Other / Meta / Re: Some info about spammer warning... on: February 04, 2022, 02:59:35 PM
I know there are some rules for controlling spam posters in the forum. Users could be limited for any new post for 7, 14, or 30 days prior to a permanent ban as a warning. Is there any way users can find out how many times they were warned before?
Why do you ask? Will you behave better if you know you're at your last change? And if you have 2 more temporary bans to go, will you spam more?

It was more than a year I think I was warned but the mod hasn't told me anything specifically what was wrong with my post. So I tried to improve the quality of my post since then and till now I haven't faced any problem. But I do not know if I am still violating any rules. I love this forum not only can earn some money by signature but the knowledge and experience I gained are priceless. So I just don't want anything to happen to my account and am eager to improve more if still didn't reach that standard.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto in Indian Economy? on: February 03, 2022, 08:03:19 PM
India isn't actually poor country if I am not wrong even though it is a developing country it is one of country developed near to super power like USA, China and Russia because of their man power and also even CEO of tech giant company os an Indian. Probably the infrastructure is poor due to the corruption because they are leading in the corruption rate among the other countries but its about a government will allow decentralization into their banking system no matter its a developing or third world country???
The problem that the government of India has is that it has a lot of territory and an even bigger population, a smaller country has an easier time developing their infrastructure due to its small territory, so the government of India is faced with a difficult choice, do they invest a lot of money on this on some key areas and leave everything else underdeveloped or do they try to develop most parts of their country even if this mean a lower level of infrastructure for everyone? And it seem they selected the latter, which is why it may seem to be lacking sometimes even if they are doing their best.

Actually, the main problem is corruption and the lack of qualified officials who have great management skills. If you have the ability to rule a small country successfully you will also be able to rule a bigger country too.

I saw a video on youtube where a man wearing ocher cloth encouraging local people to destroy a solar panel power plant by saying this infrastructure is from the devil, so it must be destroyed. And those people destroying that foreign-built solar panels with hammers.I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but really man !!  Are we still in the primitive age? It's just one of many cases. How country progress where people's are hostile towards new innovation and listen more from their religious leader than educated one.

240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: February 03, 2022, 11:42:58 AM
Could we not even say your 25k figure was a bit low?

I think people might look to buy at 25k or 30k so much that it COULD drop down back to the 28.3k we saw last time and then take a large bounce up from there (I made a thread here a few weeks before then saying I didn't think it was unreasonable for us to hit near 29k but not go below it, and we got into the 28k regions then so)...

The support of 30K is very strong and it is very important to hold this support to save Bitcoin from a long-term bear market.  I think the market can go in any direction but before that, the price of bitcoin should touch 28k once at least.  Maybe it's a flash crash to liquidate futures traders.  The month of February is going to be very important for Bitcoin.

This is my observation.
