221  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CryptRadio.com LAUNCHING SOON - Music, In depth discussions - Contests/prizes on: July 28, 2014, 01:30:37 AM
I'm interested in being a live DJ as well.

I thought about doing this exact concept about 6 months ago, I think I can bring alot to the table and would love to help in any way I can.

Will this coin launch late like so many that have come before it?

This coin looks promising. I just put 1gh/s on it.  Grin

because it's been in PoW for over 25 hours?  advertised as 24 hour PoW
[/quote]

2880 blocks at 30 secs block time is exactly 24 hours.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CNL] ConcealCoin | No Premine | 24 hours POW! LAUNCHED! BITTREX! on: July 19, 2014, 08:50:34 PM
270+/- block left in POW and the explorer says 9,121,000 coins right now

ANN says only 8.5 million

SO HOW MANY COINS WILL THERE REALLY BE??

------------ EDIT ------------

OK guys, the CNL ann is wrong. 2880 POW blocks @ 3500 CNL each.... thats 10,080,000 coins. not 8.5million

D-do you even lift?

I'm a little worried that this coin dev cannot even calculate total coins right

OMG enough with the FUD you fucking morons. Its called POS. POS started at block 2000, there will obviously be more than 8.5mil coins because of POS...

wrong.  i am still mining.  currently on block 2637.  how is that possible if PoW stopped at 2000?

Because POW doesnt end till 2880. Just because POS starts, doesn't mean POW ends.

I went and did the math myself. And yes, it looks like total POW is a little over 10mil. I don't see this as a big problem as the dev probably changed the specs a dozen times before launch and forgot to change the total POW number in the specs. I have been involved in many coin launches and it is very stressful to launch a coin, small mistakes are understandable.

Its called POS... Coins will continue to be created even after POW stops. POS started at block 2000.

The FUDsters are getting desperate. lol

I love the new Refill button, have you thought about adding a pause button?

I'm often mining a coin by difficulty and manually canceling the order and redoing the order when difficulty drops. A pause button would be AWESOME.  Grin

Has anyone news when will dedicated fix wallet issues ? I sent coins before or at the fork, and they never received the end adress...Sad

They're lost, I did the same with about 5k coins.

Coins that were mined before the fork are not lost, they were just sent on the wrong chain, this means that the pool can resync the wallet and get the coins back.

I'm sure they wont tell you this fact themselves because, hey, free money.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XST] StealthCoin | PoS + Tor | PoS Only! Bittrex! on: July 12, 2014, 09:03:32 PM
all you guys bitching about lost coins need to understand 2 things, 1 dont pile on dedicated, all that hash combined with the devs not setting up nodes correctly caused the fork which fucked us all out of a lot of coins. everybody says oh its not devs fault , actually yes it is, you cant go from pow to pos without setting the nodes correctly, and oh its not dedicateds fault, yes it is, that greedy turd should shut down registrations to avoid this from happening since he does this shit on every goddamn coin. Now are we going to get compensated? fuck no, they wont even admit fault let alone make it right. BUT dedicated is getting 32k to make up for his "hard work" so there is your answer on what kind of scammy bullshit goes on behind the scenes of these shady fuck pools and these shit devs. good luck making up your losses. and next time, as I have said for months now, quit using dedicated pool especially if they have 80 % of the net hash.

Perhaps you need to get your facts straight. Nothing is going to dedicated for anything. there was no bounty for pools. And there is definitely nothing going to him for his 'hard work'

thats not what was said in irc yesterday when binary was whining about losing 32k, i lost more than that, nobody is going to compensate me so why should the pool responsible for the fork be reimbursed?

I remember binarydomain saying he wanted 32k for his loses but I also remember telling him no, you forked, we told you you were forked, and you still kept your pool going

nah man go check the logs if you want, one of you guys told him "we can give you that no problem" and then he quit bitching, it doesn't matter to me enough to go dig for it as I have nothing to prove, but that is what transpired and for the record it's total bullshit, but whatever I have made up for my rentals and then some so i am out either way.

I was mining before the fork was even known about. I stopped mining before the announcement that the coin could possibly be forked. I stopped mining because of the blocks halving to 1,000 at block 4580. Much later there was an announcement at the top of dedicated pools page. I thought I was ok since I mined all my coins before the fork(or so I thought). Most of my autopayouts happened during the forking so they were supposedly lost(resyncing the wallet would recover these mined coins). I lost about 0.25btc from paying for mining power(about 25k coins) Which is now worth nearly 0.5btc. If I had been giving warning you better believe I would have stopped mining.

dedicatedpool.com took my xst 29000, it is painful

I know exactly how you feel . I lost 25,000 xst. It would be nice to try to mine it all back but POW ended early. Which makes no sense...
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XST] StealthCoin | X13 PoW/PoS + Tor | Exchanges! Bittrex / Cryptoine on: July 11, 2014, 10:56:46 PM
If you got them paid out, then you got free coins that we lost because our wallet doesn't have them.  Pool took a hit if you got payouts during that period, feel lucky.

I'm just saying that dedicatedpools wallet was suposidly on a forked chain for thoes 500 blocks. How could that wallet send coins to bittrex if it were on the forked chain? Once they resynced on the correct chain it would have pulled thoes tx's back since they wouldnt have been sent on the official chain.

I lost "to me" a decent sum of money on this bullshit. Enough to order pizza 5 or 6x atleast.

Its odd that the blocks orphan but the coins sent to bittrex while on a forked chain confirm.

2 different wallets? on 2 different chains?
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XST] StealthCoin | X13 PoW/PoS + Tor | Exchanges! Bittrex / Cryptoine on: July 11, 2014, 10:51:11 PM
After many hours of trying, we finally have been able to reconnect and keep a solid connection to the XST wallet.  I have redirected all hash back to XST from APEX.

I will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Due to the numerous issues and forks with this coin today, we had to orphan over 500 blocks Sad   There was a warning up on our site that it may be forked, mine at your own risk.  Sometimes gambles pay off, sometimes not.

Anyways, we are back and hashing and finding new blocks on the correct chain now.

Great to see its working now!

I call bullshit on 500 orphan blocks. I have alot of confirmed paid out Tx's durring the 500 orphans. How could these Tx's confirm if you were on a forked chain?

dedicatedpool owes me 25k stealthcoins. I mined them before block 4580 and they were autopaid out during the forking.

don't cry, you're mining with ASIC and already have millions of coins  Tongue

lol, I wish I had an x13 asic. I rented mining power. I spent 0.3btc and got less than half of the coins I mined. Quite irritated...

I saw you in dedicatedpool with 3gh/s+ lol

What will happen to my lost Tx's on dedicatedpool?

I have about 15 payouts on the pool and only 7 or 8 show up on bittrex. I'm guessing the ones showing up didn't make it into the official fork?

So I wonder if there will ever be legal repercussions for the people sharing disk space for this coin.

What happens if/when a child porn ring starts using this coin to store imgs? It would mean anyone sharing disk space for this coin could possibly be arrested and tried for possessing child porn.

Are some people being given priority?

I noticed this problem affecting both scrypt and x13, it may affect the other algos as well.

Here is the problem. I put up an order for hash power, even tho it is above the lowest priced order that is hashing it never starts, even If I increase the price alot it will never start. I noticed alot of people having the same problem. It appears that some people are getting priority to hash first which is really shitty.
