221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no short selling of Bitcoin on: April 13, 2016, 10:16:00 PM
There are two ways to short Bitcoin .

1 use an exchange allows shorting btc.

Which exchange allow bitcoin shorting?

2 borrow Bitcoin from p2p site, then sell them in exchange or localbitcoin. When the price drop, you buy back at lower price, pay back loan.

In short term bitcoin price do not fluctuate largely, how can it cover the interest paid on loan?

One of the exchanges allow shorting is bitfinex.

Well, shorting always involves borrowing, always pay interest. To justify how much how long etc is beyond me.

I like your idea, we can write down whatever illegal things cash used to buy on the cash. So that next person will know.

224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin. $15-$25. This Year. on: April 13, 2016, 07:30:43 AM
It is hard to speculate on ltc price, it is equally speculate on ltc/ btc ratio?
I think ltc will not out perform btc in next 12 months? Do you agree?
225  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 280 BTC , prefer one buyer on: April 13, 2016, 07:21:36 AM
Man, I see some very rich people, if you involved in this kind of trade, do care about where 280 btc coming from? It is from mining, bought low years ago, or just exiting Bitcoin related business?
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can we see bitcoin money transfer store in near future? on: April 13, 2016, 05:50:16 AM
Well, if coffee shop insists 5 confirmation, the coffee buying process will be quite long.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that receiver pays the fee? on: April 13, 2016, 05:47:32 AM
In bitcoin transaction the fee is paid by sender exactly opposite of PayPal where receiver pays the fee or is deducted from the amount he receives. Can it be possible in bitcoin too?Is there a way in bitcoin transaction that fee is deducted from or paid by receiver?

Can the receiver refuse to accept the coin, hence avoid the fee?
I think this is also needed to be implemented.

Good point, because Bitcoin transactions is not reversible, but this can be determined before the transaction is send. Something similar to the telephone system, where the exchange asks the receiver, if he will accept the charges and only after a confirmation is received, he will forward or allow the call. { In this case the transaction }

They can then add this burden to the miners to get this acknowledgement and pay them a extra fee on top of the miners reward. This will make up for the Halving, where the reward is decreased and they would be making less money.

I think it is fair sender pay the fee.
Because higher fee will have faster delivery time, when receiver got it, the delivery process has finished.
228  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: April 13, 2016, 05:43:51 AM
I will say thank you very much and keep it.

Haha, second that, but are you going to do anything with the 10 btc?
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin go the Second Life Way? on: April 08, 2016, 04:37:04 AM
Don't say that Second Life is dead. With VR device coming to market in the next 12 month, Second life may become a lot hotter ...
Have you play the Second Life game, gee, that is some very hot experience.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoin does this guy have! on: April 07, 2016, 04:50:02 AM
Looks like a stale price to me. When you call him he will give you a up to date price.
Nobody is stupid, if it is too good to be true, then it is.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I stay or Will I leave - Poll on: April 06, 2016, 11:15:12 PM
I can not tell the difference between core and classic.
There's a huge difference between them. How you can not see it, is beyond me.

And I believe if things getting worse, Bitcoin God will come back rescue us.
There is no such thing as a "Bitcoin God".

Bitcoin God is satoshi nakamoto.

One day he will come back and all this none sense.

233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slogan update >> Bitcoin, Be Your Own OFFSHORE Bank on: April 06, 2016, 09:09:45 PM
Bitcoin, offshore bank for average joe.

I like this one better, and as one of the fed officer pointed out, because Bitcoin limited cap, large money can not be moved freely using Bitcoin.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looking for truth: if dash is scam, where are the victims? on: April 06, 2016, 07:26:10 AM

Now three. But this will be my only post here.

generalizethis
smooth
cryptohunter
TPTB_need_war

that pretty much counts as 4 .. in 2 pages alone. Posting several times. They can also be found in any anti Dash thread...
to be honest i'm still waiting for iCEBREAKER &  Adam White, maybe they got stuck in traffic or something  Undecided

This is pretty funny. It is okay people are enthusiastic about a topic.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the maximum amount of BTC you've sold at one time? on: April 05, 2016, 09:56:16 PM
600.. but that was when bitcoin was only a few dollar each

im not bothered i still have more than i sold.

if you move over $10k in on lump or consecutive lumps in a short period of sameday-same week. expect banks to question it.
if you use localbitcoins/OTC expect some people to make a complaint to their bank and thus your bank in attempt to do the bank reversal (aka chargeback scamming)

your best bet is to pre-inform your bank that you are receiving funds and that it is coming from a legitimate company. that way they have less questions to ask or presume its dodgy instantly.

You are so lucky and rich. I hope I was one of early adpfors.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is what you want on: April 05, 2016, 05:39:37 PM
Okay I admit ltc actually works. It has been used by many sites and tested in real world applications. But I don't see any reason why it will outperform btc.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confusion about ownership applications / services on the blockchain on: April 05, 2016, 03:40:37 PM
I have an okay example. A person create a new design, paint a new painting, will take a picture, then mail it to self, the post stamp on the envelop will provide a time stamp acceptable by court. If there is copy right disagreement, the person will open the envelop in the court, the content will prove the person has the design in the date shown in envelop.

For the same token, blockchain will prove a person own something as of that time, if he can store the digital picture in the blockchain. This is doable. As matter of fact, some altcoin is making store extra information in blockchain super easy.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful about any Negative Bitcoin stories reguarding banks on: April 05, 2016, 03:29:39 PM
I don't think this really matters. Bitcoin will prevail and provide an attractive alternate investment to the mass. Bank can not change this now.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is what you want on: April 05, 2016, 07:54:01 AM
The bull market (is here and is coming) is coming in Bitcoin and that means that Litecoin will thrive. Now it starts in all its good timing. LTC will fulfill your wishes and then some. Snowden approves of this.

Since you said bull market both btc and ltc, I want to know which one will rise more. I mean if I have fist today, should I buy btc or ltc, which one will make more percentage wise?
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin survive world war III? on: April 05, 2016, 07:49:31 AM
Right, world war 3 will definitely destroy a few smaller nations/regions. But big ones will not nuke each other. Put it this way, we assume full scale war will not happen, if it happens, then we don't need to worry about Bitcoin, 80 percent population will be gone, I don't think I am one of lucky 20.

If assume big countries will survive, then Bitcoin will survive.
