227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PSU Watts for 6990*3 ? on: July 31, 2011, 11:32:52 PM
And so that I am not just a troll to your question...

There are numerous 1200 watt PSUs with HUGE amperage on the 12v rails...I would suggest the Corsair 1200w as it would more than keep your system up and running.
228  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PSU Watts for 6990*3 ? on: July 31, 2011, 11:31:28 PM
Holy crap...did you purchase that just for mining?  That is going to take a long time to pay back if you did.  I have been pricing just one 5830 and it will take about 120 days if you keep increasing the difficulty.

I noticed that...I tried to add my image that you placed on the betcoin.co website...too bad.

You are too fast SomeBadger.

LOL.

Love the site btw...best mining site I have seen.  Especially when we find a block and the stats will be accurate.

Thanks SomeBadger for taking care of that for me.

A few of my other buddies are still on the fence until we find a coin.  I told them that another 1.5-2Gh/s would help the pool tremendously.

How do I add my buddy Widgets to my team?  I invited him before teams started and he is running pool.betcoin.co daily on his 5870.
233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining the new pool! on: July 12, 2011, 11:31:50 AM
@SomeBadger

Widgets is a buddy that I invited before teams were introduced to the pool...how do I go about inviting him to my team if he joined before the teams were introduced?
234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining the new pool! on: July 07, 2011, 09:47:04 PM
Liking the interface...should have a couple of 5830's joining my system soon...within the next two weeks.

My buddy Widgets has already joined the server, my other buddies are holding off until they see the pool reach above 10-15 Gh/s
235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining the new pool! on: July 07, 2011, 01:25:34 PM
And after I type that...I can get to it.

The pool never went down...just the website on my end.
236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining the new pool! on: July 07, 2011, 01:22:57 PM
Can't get to the pool's website...

Hopefully this changes soon or I will be moving my system back.
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining the new pool! on: July 07, 2011, 12:42:14 AM
I am throwing my 400Mh/s towards this new pool...soon to be about 800Mh/s.  If it goes well, I have buddies that should bring in about another 2Gh/s towards the pool.

I thought the price per month was way high as well...but i had it set to one month.

Here is what I have:

http://bitcoinx.com/profit/

Difficulty:                 1563027
Hash rate:                395Mh/s
Time frame:              1 month
Electricity rate:          0.0915
Power consumption:   350
Coins per Block:         50
Conversion rate:         $14.72

LOL...nevermind...WOW...I guess lack of sleep is kicking in.  I was looking at the after power and thinking that was how much the power cost.

Revenue per day: 3.74 USD
... less power costs: 2.97 USD

Revenue per time frame: 113.89 USD
... less power costs: 90.49 USD

Hardware break even: 0 seconds
Net profit first time frame: 90.49 USD

KILL THIS THREAD PLEASE...I APOLOGIZE FOR MY MOMENTARY LAPSE OF SITUATIONAL AWARENESS.
240  Other / Beginners & Help / Profitability gone? on: July 06, 2011, 10:55:32 PM
I just ran the numbers after getting a Kill-A-Watt

I have a 6970 running about 400MH/s

My system is pushing about 340 watts which using the profitability calculator comes out to only about $91 over electricity costs a month...that is NOT COUNTING increases in mining times coming up next week.  In the past, the price would go up...but it has been hovering around 14-16 for weeks now.  If the price doesn't go up soon...small time miners are going to have to quit.

Even us that only have .0915 kWh prices.
