221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: December 10, 2014, 12:15:18 PM
Hi.

I need your help. I am mining for 24 hours solo with yacminer on five Radeon 280X cards with roundabout 20kH/s and I haven´t got any accepted share not even an orphan. Before I mined solo with ultracoin miner for 24 hours. That gave me a couple of hits (of course unfortunately all orphans:( ).
My question:
I read about the diff<1 problem with yacminer. Yacminer(cgminer.exe) indicates a diff of 3.1k at the moment and ultabex.tumlingblock.com indicates a difficulty of 0.112.
Is the "diff<1" (integer datatype) problem most likely the reason that I don´t find even one block with yacminer and so UTC can not be mined solo with yacminer as long as the diff is lower than 1?

Regards,
Janus

Why you are solo mining? It much better in pool.

@Steven

Do you have information why withdrawel and deposit stlll not are possible at Cryptsy ?

This is still a messages at cryptsy about the UTC wallet :  "Our wallet is currently offline due to issues with the coin's blockchain"

Knowing Crypsty it can take days. Ask them nicely when I can do business with UTC.

Well, best I can take from my GV-R929OC-4GD is 3.5-3.7 K using ultracoin miner. The BEST value. With yacminer 4.5.0 everything is even worse. 14.6 drivers. Win 7 x64.

Thank you all for your advices. )

use ddu uninstaller. idont have anymore any  amd gpu but if I remember right make the first bin file with 14.2 beta driver.

After ddu uninstaller remove all bin file from yacminer folder and isntall beta 14.2 and start yacminer. Then you can install 14.6. Make sure that yacminer folder is empty from conf file.

or buy some nvidia 970,980,750ti... and welcome easy mining  Cheesy

I use ultracoinminer. It just doesn't start at all with your settings... Are these setiings suitable for it? Or may be this is my main mistake and I should better use yacminer? ))

Use yacminer!

Happy mining  Smiley

We need to get the network populated with the latest version as the latest release will only accept blocks from the latest version- hence the random stopping.  The problem is that the new wallet will still connect up with previous versions to exchange peer nodes and will send blocks.  And the wallet tends to jump around to random clients rather than sticking to just the few that it has successfully started downloading blocks from.   Try restarting your wallet or, alternatively, you can edit your ultracoin.conf file to use "connect" rather than "addnode" to synch up- this way it won't try to connect to others.  If you do change them to connect, be sure to change them back to addnode after you've managed a full sync.  As we get more protocol version 70065 wallets out there the connectivity will improve.

is it necessary to add listen=0, with "connect" ?

Only if you have inbound connections because your wallet isn't behind a firewall or has NAT to its p2p port from a netrouter.  If that is the case it will help in keeping other nodes from connecting to you.

I am amazed over that the price is so stable and relatively high even after this chain of events.  Shocked

why not?
This all only show how strong UTC community is and dev team are ready to do hard work.

If someone wants dump UTC I will buy..Ihave nice amout of BTC ready to move to crypsty.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: December 07, 2014, 11:00:09 PM
Well I was certain that they will find a way to benefit the Stake holders, after all the devs hold huge amounts of UTC, I hope its for the best. Smiley

Slowing down the blocks should have been done long time ago, the N-factor was changing too fast, but I guess better late then never.

Why release the fork on Tuesday. Set an earlier time - why not Monday 00:00 UTC
(24 hours is 24 hours, we have accumulated huge Losses this past week)

I think that its better to be sure the fork is working right. So dont hurry things and be sure all will be right and ok after the fork.
Even if needs to delay the fork couple days it will be better.

So the only thing left is:

WTF is going on with the difficulty???

Valid question but could you ask one time nicely?

I think as dev team is allready sayed... we need one update more..and its underway. This is the reason why we need as much hash power than we can get to TESTNET POOL. New update need to work fully and fix problems.

NOPE!
I'm just a bad ass mother fu**er, I eat devs for breakfast!

Last week I hospitalized a brick!
I am so mean I make medicine sick!!!

@wtfc360
Yes you can, but better mine at the pool.
And Nope, I installed new wallets, and spread some coins, but I had 3 old wallets all updated perfectly, amounts and everything!

@BorisWCR
Yes you have to.

heh LOL.. Iam so lucky that I am not dev team member  Cheesy

Maybe a good idea everybody checks and looks good at the new wallet after the download and send a message out here to Kracko so he now's about it and can fixed it.

@Kracko:

if I start the new wallet then the new Ultracoin logo splash-screen appears on the desktop, but it takes more then 8 or 10 minutes before the logo splash screen disappears and the wallet opens.
This was also the problem with one of the older wallets in the past, please look in to that Kracko...
This shouldn't take so long. I had this problem before the last update, but now with the new wallet it takes less than a minute.

Is it normal that staked coins not showing up?

With new wallet staked coins is showing up. I have lots of staked orphans after problems started.

Now wallet is ok and staked coin are showed up. I can see stake value and transactions value.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: December 07, 2014, 12:10:27 PM
with the new wallet when i remove everything in %appdata%\roaming\ultracoin apart from the wallet.dat my coins balance drops to 34utc when it should be 170000utc?
When i revert back to my old wallet my coins show up but it wont sync as it gets stuck on blockchain 855838.

When i try just to install the new wallet without removing %appdata%\roaming\ultracoin it  just gets stuck on the new Ultracoin logo splash-screen. After an hour I stopped the process and presumed it had crashed.

Not slept all night trying to resolve this. Any ideas?

when you removed:
did you wait that all blocks was updated? All coins wont show up until all is update. That happened for me and all is now showing up.

Include the database.and have the new version of Ultracoin wallet
Cheers

Thiago

Nice new pools are welcome.
I must ask you Thiago where is your support for Testnet UTC pool?

Cheesy Its good to see all working together with this problem.

UTC will be stronger than ever after this. Thanks to you all.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: December 06, 2014, 03:15:14 PM
I think the TestPool is telling me its on N-factor 16
So any new miners that I try to connect get rejected (yacminer)

And a friend of mine all ways tells me there is no such thing as "Bad publicity" so maybe the price will go UP after this fuckUP Smiley

its still nf 14. Workers difficult seems to be under 1 so yacminer wont work. Sure I can be wrong.

hi everyone - had to chime in, just because I'm not seeing a very important step in all of the posts describing how to install/upgrade wallets. Please don't forget to backup your wallet.dat before you do anything, regardless of whether or not you delete files.

Hi dcgirl,
welcome back!

Testing Digishield on the test server now.  10 block averaging, with a retarget every block.

http://utctest.tumblingblock.com   Your existing UTC2 accounts will work for login, but your workers will be erased when the test database is reset.

My rigs are there soon.

edit:

all there as long as UTC needs... happy to help.
