So I have been a long time investor of this coin and I like where it's headed but I can't figure one thing out?   If it ever meets parody what is the driving force or incentive to keep farming cann?  If it hits parody what's the point of still producing cann.  No ones making a profit after parody is hit except all the investers and then wouldn't it just be dumped?   Sorry I would love some one to clear that up! Thanks

In the off chance this is a genuine query*:

Should CANN reach parity pricing that would make it worth what, $10 or thereabouts? Would anyone "dump" it for less than that value? We should all have such troubles. If by "farming" you mean continuing to mine then why wouldn't they mine such a valuable coin?

Let's look at another angle: from the noise reaching Australia there's significant disillusionment in the U.S. and the Republicans are at least a fair chance for capturing the Presidency. There's also a fair to moderate chance New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be the Republican candidate. Since he is on record as saying he will stamp out medical marijuana tolerance banks are not likely to rush into handling marijuana business accounts. If dispensaries are already set up to transact CANN/CANNdy purchases there is no further overhead involved in CANN/anything transactions. Thus dispensaries CANN overcome their problem of choking on cash.

Either way parity only negatively affects medical marijuana patients, which is why several of us are slowly accumulating now lest donor trusts are required for hardship cases in the future.

* Isn't it strange how many noob accounts have the same misspellings and incorrect word usage in their posts? It's as though they've all been taking lessons from a certain serial pest.

Is there a CANN Slack chat or anything?

One has just been set up by a user but has virtually zero members yet. The instigator went on holidays immediately after starting it and asked me to handle invitations in the interim.

There's an email request form here: http://canndy.org/ or PM me your email so I can invite you.

Can anyone explain why on some blocks https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cann/ in the list are larger than 6.5625 CANN? It's just a transaction with pools? Why do they appear in the list as well as blocks of 6.5625 CANN?

Some blocks include transactions, others have only the mining subsidy.

Thanks but to be fair you guys should answer the questions, you answered mine why not his? You do seem to be deleting his posts but leaving yours seemingly one sided as this poster James put. I was seeing the post he had. none of them came off as attacking of vulgar, I think his point is that he wants some clarity surrounding the team which I was also seeking but I was not treated with such disrespect.  I will do my research into this James character and for the meantime I think it would be wise to just answer the questions but not avoid them?

I will ask for james then, is YESWECANN the main dev deltanine? I was assuming so since it seems to be the main poster of this thread but I also see dev d9 posting under a nickname this is even confusing for me since I am new.

None of this is any form of secret, having been hashed over many, many times. James and a whole plethora of his sock puppets have had all this explained many times in the past. That is some of the reason there is a zero-tolerance policy for the nuisance "questions" posed by James in any of his many guises.

This was going to be much more comprehensive until I found out who I was responding to.  Roll Eyes

Can someone give me a quick link on where to buy some CANN for BTC

Bittrex.com and other exchanges are listed in the main post.
Look for CANN

https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-CANN

d9, thanks for your hard work. i did not know my post would cauz drama

Don't worry about it. James is a serial pest with a long history and it doesn't take anything in particular to set him off.

I'll be uploading another free desktop wallpaper shortly. Lately that's been cause for abuse and accusations of conspiracy so, what can you do? We can only offer suggestions for where he can/should seek help, we can not force him to seek the help he needs.

In case no one has done so yet, let me welcome you to the Yes We CANN community Cheesy

blah blah blah

Yes James, you noticed that most of the team have better things to do than hang around forums and respond to your swarm of sock puppets.

You also noticed that I have been graciously invited to join the team, an invitation which obviously I accepted.

There's a life lesson for you in that. You harass and annoy in a constant effort at self-aggrandizement and were, uhm ... dis-invited from the team where your twin brother remains a developer, a coder there isn't he?

I strongly suspect that you can not help yourself, that the voices in your head won't give you any peace.

Help is available to you James and the first step to peace is available at this link. Please use it. If not for yourself then do so for your family.

Another ∆9 tweet reminds us how large the mmj market is in Arizona: https://twitter.com/CannabisCoins/status/592159403253477376

Supporting that here's a flashback Arizona Daily Star post - The Arizona Department of Health Services says dispensaries sold about 20,000 pounds (more than 9,000,000 grams) of marijuana in 2014. Dispensary sales tripled last year over 2013.

Arizona is expected to go full recreational in 2016.

Lol. How can you ever think about buying such a coin? The name of the coin is here my first problem Smiley

you need lesson here - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cannabis

Right! "any of the various parts of the plant from which hashish, marijuana, bhang, and similar mildly euphorogenic and hallucinogenic drugs are prepared"
Cannabis is illegal in most of the countries !!!

Actually ctoth70, LegalMedicalMarijuanaAndRecreationalCannabisInStatesWherePermittedCoin did not play well with focus groups for some reason, so it ended up CannabisCoin Wink

Seriously though, it's about support for medical marijuana patients and initial focus is the U.S. State of Arizona. If not legal wherever you are then you should steer clear.

Thanks for dropping by.

Hi stuffage1, haven't seen you around here for a while Smiley

I see the sock puppets have been dragged out while I got some sleep & attended to morning chores.

stuffage1 expressed it quite succinctly guys - if you are not comfortable putting your money in "as is" then don't do it. And don't be misled by razzle-dazzle pump crews either. The Yes We CANN movement's progress is not marked by calendar dates and key developments will be announced after the fact. This way it is much harder for pump groups and market manipulators to take starry-eyed newcomers' money.

As someone who holds a sizable chunk of Cann, I would like to hear some concrete information from the developer as to what is exactly happening with the coin presently and in the future. Specifics would be much appreciated, rather than a "busy working" type of response. It's also somewhat disconcerting to see the unprofessional manner in which the dev responds to criticism, even if it does come from trolls looking to stir, as well as other issues I have read about this coin, such as the pre-mine and the closing of threads. While you of course don't have to reply, it would go a long way in reestablishing my faith and support in this coin, as I'm sure it would with others.   And no, I didn't create a new account to post this. This is actually my very first post on the forums, although I've been reading for a couple of months. I just feel that we deserve to be more in the loop if you want our continued support.

I hope for the best with new accounts and am only a little disappointed if/when they prove to be sock puppets so let me welcome you to the Yes We CANN community.

You say you own a "sizable chunk" of CannabisCoin so you have presumably DYOR.

You should know then that CannabisCoin is not like the plethora of altcoins in that it is not the end product. It exists to facilitate getting quality medical marijuana to mmj patients at a reasonable price.

From the OP:

Quote
What is the “Yes We CANN” movement?

The Yes We CANN movement is about medical marijuana dispensaries and shop owners that participate in providing safe, affordable, and quality medicine utilizing CannabisCoin as payment. This movement is a way for dispensaries and shop owners to show their appreciation to their patients by donating some medication into the “CANNdy” inventory.

What is CANNdy?

CANNdy is a supply of meds that consists of strains grown specifically for CannabisCoin purchases and/or strains that can be purchased at the rate of 1 Cannabis Coin (CANN) to approx. 1 GRAM of medication.

The commonly held expectation CANN will rise significantly in value is based on the likelihood the Feds will not reclassify marijuana and banks will remain reluctant to provide services to the State-legal marijuana industry. With the distribution of CANNdy more dispensaries are anticipated to handle CANN transactions and will already have the infrastructure to use CANN as a means to make cashless transactions. With more States moving to legal recreational transactions the volume of trade is expected to increase greatly, taking the value of Cannabiscoin with it.

That, however, is not what drives DeltaNine and he remains focused on delivering CANNdy.

My personal estimate of likely delivery of significant CANNdy supplies has always been the first quarter of 2016 and I've seen nothing to strongly indicate otherwise. Getting land approved for marijuana cultivation, actually fitting out grow sites, testing specific varieties for suitability for site and end product, propagating, growing, curing, testing, packaging and distributing are time consuming activities, not to mention extremely expensive ones.

D9 remains laser-focused on the task at hand and will not be spending time on BCT, he certainly won't be wasting it arguing with serial pests.

The bottom line is that should you wish to buy CannabisCoin that is your choice. If you do or have done so then you are certainly welcome in the Yes We CANN community but no one is going to spend time or effort trying to convince you to do so or to stay if you are not content. Go or stay, for the foreseeable future there will no change in the current format of announcement after the fact.

I hope that is helpful to you.

Cheers from the land down-under Smiley
