it seems that the war will not end anytime soon.. but it looks like its intensity will decrease because since the arrival of President Widodo to Russia and Ukraine, the two countries have agreed on several matters such as wheat exports, prisoner exchange, etc... i hope this war ends. and the two countries can make peace again

223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politics and Investment on: July 01, 2022, 01:48:37 PM
Politics everywhere in the world has become a business venture but coming down to Nigeria here, it becomes absolute business and investment 😂 its in our DNA, we abuse anything that comes our way including power. The truth is that, the benefits attached to political offices are too juicy that every individual will fight so hard in order to obtain such office. No any sane and well-meaning person will step down for another because of future appointments or whatsoever he or she is promised but contrary is the case here. On this ground, I commend GYB for refusing to step down even after series of consultation and pleas despite the fact that he will not make a better a president.

just like here,, people get into politics sometimes as their long term investment to be able to maintain or expand their business nationally or internationally .. therefore it is very difficult to distinguish people who are really honest to politics or not
224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The trials in Paris, has justice been served? on: June 30, 2022, 01:12:02 PM
there is no justice in a case like this.. if the death of these terrorists can resurrect 130 people who died then it is called "justice".. the death of these terrorists is only to reduce the number of criminals and will not erase the wounds caused by their actions

i remember that several years ago at the Asian Games, South and North Korea used the same flag for peace... that is one example of how sport can unite two warring parties and reduce political tensions between the two countries.
227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nigerian Political Structure in 2023 Election on: June 28, 2022, 11:32:04 AM
nigeria is one of the strategic developing countries whose economy has developed quite a bit in recent years.. hopefully nigerian can choose a leader who really understands about the economy,, especially in today's conditions where the global economy is very unstable, wrong choice leadership will be fatal, as happened to Sri Lanka and several other developing countries which are now bankrupt because of choosing the wrong leader

229  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin, Xi and the risk of a WW3 on: June 27, 2022, 07:10:05 AM
and it seems that NATO and Europe have been very passive until now.. they don't seem to be serious in supporting the peace of Ukraine and Russia,, their attention is divided because at the same time their countries are experiencing a fuel crisis, which is caused by their economic sanctions against Russia.. I think that the UN should take this matter more seriously, this cannot be allowed to continue because every day thousands of people die from this war

Still waiting and watching to see how all of this is handled.
NATO won't make advances else it all leads to WwIII. They have alot like you have said to battle, inflation and shortage of gas is on the high rise. Fueling Ukraine with armory will likely may not continue for much longer periods. The world getting to doomsday ?

helping peace between Russia and Ukraine can be done by supporting the negotiations between the two countries through diplomacy in international forums.. there is no need to carry out unimportant lobbies and even support Ukraine with various high-class weapons which will worsen the current condition,, because no matter how many weapons NATO gives Ukraine, it will not be able to defeat Russia

231  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Narrative Shift - From Fighting Nazis In WW2 To Funding Them In Ukraine on: June 25, 2022, 04:18:18 AM
I can't read your long post, but what I want to say is that the Russia and Ukraine war is more complex than it looks... Russia is not 100% wrong and Ukraine is not 100% right.. the point is if Ukraine doesn't try to join Europe and break their promise to Russia, surely this war will not happen
232  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Europe's independence requires breaking away from Oil and Gas on: June 24, 2022, 02:43:11 PM
it's funny to see europe,, how they impose economic sanctions on russia but don't want the supply of oil and gas to their region not to be revoked ... european leaders should not be careless by giving economic sanctions to russia, so that problems like this will not happen
233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about patriotism in Russia - Ukraine war? on: June 24, 2022, 01:34:44 PM
i think that people like this exist in every country, not only in ukraine.. but when talking about ukraine people in majority, most of them are very nationalist and willing to fight against their country and they are real ukrainians
234  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The first president after Putin will be the president of Muscovy on: June 21, 2022, 03:11:07 PM
i doubt that Putin will step down from his government... i think that he will try to revise the amendments and will continue as president forever .. but if he does step down as president, i hope that his successor is not as "crazy" as he is
235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Shutting down the Global Economy to fight covid a good idea? on: June 19, 2022, 02:18:22 PM
if we really shut down the global economy there will be many problems that will arise, which will have an impact on those of the lower middle class ... it's better to leave it like this,, the economy is running as usual and activities can run like there is no covid
236  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "I do not get involved in politics, but then complaint if things do not go well" on: June 18, 2022, 02:54:06 PM
Yes, politics is a part of our life.. we can't ignore politics,, even if we don't participate in active political activities, but we also have to be able to voice our opinion and protest against something that is wrong, whether it's participating in demonstrations or voicing it via social media
237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What was the ratnik-3 created for? on: June 18, 2022, 10:28:25 AM
from this we can see that Russia does not have enough funds in this war or indeed they do not care about their own troops ... if indeed they have money or care about troops,, they will equip troops with adequate equipment,, but the fact is on the ground most Russian troops are not even equipped with military standards I still can't believe it
238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Censorship on: June 17, 2022, 01:51:08 PM
censorship nowadays is a mass deception.. for example in my country the government censors cow's nipples on television.. like bro, it's only cow's nipples, who else is stimulated by cow's nipples? and many other stupid things that are censored by the government and other big tech companies.. so I think that censorship is necessary but don't overdo it

240  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will be Russia's next market target?? on: June 16, 2022, 07:53:46 AM
you know Russia has just released the G8 list which contains countries with new economic powers in the future ... in this list there are several countries such as Mexico, China, Indonesia, India, and several other countries, most likely this will be a new market for Russia
After the embargo they got from western countries, it seems that Russia is now starting to actively look for new allies in order to facilitate their oil and gas trade, in the G8 list maybe only China which does have a larger market share at this time and the relationship is not good between China and America will certainly be used by Russia to establish cooperation, but other countries, I doubt Russia will easily get this cooperation because most of these countries are developing countries that do not have the guts to oppose America.

it seems that Indonesia and India don't care about this... because from what I know when America imposed sanctions on Russia's oil exports, India and Indonesia actually bought oil from Russia and didn't really care about America's reaction
