221  Economy / Economics / Re: State Of Corruption In Nigeria Amidst World Corruption on: August 29, 2022, 05:17:28 AM
I see lots of suggestions here about a total overhaul of the government to eradicate this corruption. But should I tell you that there are more people outside the political hierarchy that are more corrupt than the politicians and are only waiting for an opportunity to ponce. Talking of the youths, for Nigeria I feel the youths this days pay key roles in the government been corrupt. A common Student Union Government of an Higher institution is wanted for embezzling millions and this isnt even a single senerio there are many of them. The solution to change after voting out the government is to be contented with the little or strive more in decent jobs to get better. CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU
222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading gambling in another form? on: August 29, 2022, 05:01:26 AM
But the way you lose money is different. For example if you make a bet for 1BTC and lose, you will lose all of that 1BTC. But if you invest in a shitcoin and it gets dumped 80% you will still have 0.2BTC left.
Actually this is the only clear difference between gambling and trading. And again I think gambling now a days (sports bets as I know off) have included in-game cashout policies, where u cash out when the game/bet is still going on, then your stake is calculated according to the odds as at time of cashout.
223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will you handle this case on: August 28, 2022, 05:59:00 PM
With information provided here I don't think there is anything you can do again if you are in country that doesn't support cryptocurrency. Sorry your brother had to learn about cryoto security the hard. Just try motivating not him not to get discourage from cryptocurrency. All he has to do is to create another wallet this time by himself after he must have read about it.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living? on: August 28, 2022, 05:56:16 PM
Yes it do, but the question is how good you're in trading?

I have a friend who like to trade shitcoins, usually he pick around 20-50 projects and hope either 1-3 projects will going to the moon. Because if at least 3 projects is successful, it can cover all the capital he use to spend to 20-50 projects, so if there's another one project become successful, he can earn profit. But it doesn't mean his journey is always smooth, there's few months he suffered a debt since the dump market make the whole coins can't pump.
Now this is why I actually don't consider it as a sole means of livelihood because what happens when one run into debts or when the market is in bear period and one has emergency. I still suggest a work with steady wage/salary to cover up emergency bills
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 27, 2022, 04:46:49 PM
Manchester united performance today was not really encouraging, Manchester united managed to score 1 goal, with what Manchester united played today I don't think they are finding their best form, they win the March but their performance was really poor which I believe Manchester united should improve. Southampton really played Manchester united today, what I notice is that Manchester united defense is still weak which make it easy for Southampton to penetrate, but it was unfortunate that Southampton couldn't score, they missed all their opportunity.
Although man utd performance today were quite below what we saw against Liverpool but I feel the rebuilding will take time before it start ticking. Moreover Southampton away have never been a easy fixture for the past 2 seasons now for man utd, so picking the maximum 3 points is a moral booster for the upcoming fixtures
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 27, 2022, 04:29:18 PM
I think today's game has shown why man City are still the best currently when it comes premier league football. It was a champions response to come back from 2 goals down to win the match. I feel sorry for Crystal Palace because they lost there first half tempo and tenancity which resulted in them throwing away the 2 goals lead.

As for Liverpool it was a fantastic match but Come to think of it 9 goals and Mo Sallah didn't score or neither Assist it just bizarre.
227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me to be a pro in bitcoin and crypto on: August 27, 2022, 09:54:10 AM
Bro welcome to forum. I would to recommend to search about Bitcoin or any crypto currency on Google and YouTube. Also if want to like pro and wants to earn as a passive income you need to get knowledge about technical analysis and further deeply analysis about support and resistance after that you can some money put to take the trade and out when you get profit. Make definitely strategy about trading them you would be more successful
I quite don't agree with people searching Google and youtubes for cryptocurrency. One could end reading articles or watching videos of those who themselves aren't all expert in trading and some post can only lure one into investing in shitcoins. Just be on this forum and learn gradually don't rush into investing. And my suggestion to the OP is to not look into making lots of profit because that can only lead to wrong investment

229  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is money for survival or luxury? on: August 27, 2022, 06:12:28 AM
Being rich doesn't necessarily has to be about having money. A knowledgeable person can trade his for money. And this money is basically for survival all other luxuries are mere necessities that you look into when you have extra of this money. People that consider excess luxurious life thinks its part of survival too
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of exchanges and payment gateways to Bitcoin adoption in NIG/CAR on: August 27, 2022, 05:49:41 AM
The discovery of bitcoin, and cryptocurrencies in general in Nigeria, by the youths, as another source through which good living can be earned, have indeed reduced the crime rate in the streets, of the cities in Nigeria.
I don't know very much about Central African Republic aside the fact that it is the second country to approve bitcoin as a legal tender.

In terms of bitcoin payment gateway, as well as exchanges, I think franky1 has indeed pointed out some really important things to note, exchanges, most especially the centralized ones, like Binance and the rest, are also governments of their own, they pay tribute to the same government we all are trying to break free from, so it is important to apply caution to how we see and use such exchanges, no doubt, they have all contributed greatly, to the adoption of Bitcoin in almost every city of the world, but they are not the Last hope for bitcoin adoption, they are only but a stepping stone to what is to come in the future.

I quite agree with you that exchanges aren't all that perfect since themselves looks centralized and the sole aim of bitcoin is decentralisation. But currently it's the best way to exchange your coins to fiat, because the issue of P2P is very risky. To embark on it one has to fully trust the other partner or better still look for an escrow. Sometimes these escrows team up with the other partner to scam people of either there coin or fiat. I have being a victim of such circumstances. So currently the I only do give advice of Binance and its like to people. But if at all there are better P2P with trusted escrows I would love your suggestions on them
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 26, 2022, 06:30:28 AM
Bayern Munich has never had a big impact on the team's performance when one of their important players left as well as this time, because the Bayern Munich team's game is very solid in all lines. Likewise at this time, I think with the departure of Robert Lewandowski will not bring Bayern down.
and for Lewandowski's performance I think it's also too early for us to judge and compare when he was with Bayern. because a player needs to adapt when entering a new club and at this time the season has just started.

I will have my doubts but I feel Lewa will come good in Barca. The nature of football played in Bundesliga and Laliga are similar ( free following and possession football). All he needs to stay fit and settle in with his new teammates for a better team cohesion. For Bayern they are doing quite well without him, although it is just there league let see how they cope In the middle of the season or either UCL. But with Sadio mane although not a natural Number 9 they have a great replacement for Lewandowski

234  Other / Archival / Re: Leading countries in the use of crypto on: August 23, 2022, 11:18:19 AM
Merchant Machine analysts conducted a study among 50 countries and identified the top 10 among them, leading in the use of cryptocurrencies.

The Global Adoption of Crypto Payments

Ukraine was in second place, the United States naturally in first place:

The study included 6 items, including the number of crypto owners, the percentage of the total population of the country, the DeFi index, the number of cryptomats, how many different enterprises have added bitcoin as a means of payment, and the volume of search queries on the Internet.

Also in the same study is a table with an increase in the number of people owning cryptocurrency. The top 10 includes mainly countries in Africa and South America.

This is great for we Nigerians. Although the government isn't totally in support of cryptocurrency I love the way Nigerian are beginning to have more interest in cryptocurrency. If you look into the age of those investors the highest percentage of users are the youths which make the future brighter. I believe Nigeria can lead the entire African continent towards cryptocurrency acceptance.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 12, 2022, 05:42:44 PM
I think this Tottenham is a more complete team than the previous one that played thomos tuchel last season, then they are lot of player's that I not fit to the style of Antonio Conte, kulusevski and Bentaccur were not even there yet, now  everywhere is buzzing and they have understand their coach very well while Chelsea are looking to move players out and are struggling against team like Everton I doubt they can get stand spurs right now.
Tottenham is not the same club last season which they played against Chelsea. Conte bringing in vibrant players to the team and having one of the big wins in the opening of the season is a good start for the Spurs. Their game against Chelsea would be tough because the two sides understand each other and the managers are very good when it comes to tactical football. Tottenham are favourite to win blues, with the likes of Kulesevki, Perisic and other new players in the team, they might be able to draw their opponents to dropping the winning points.
Tottenham have indeed changed a lot in Conte hands either last season or at the start of this season. Tottenham's game is getting more and more interesting after they changed the squad in this summer window, the players who brought in like Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence and I think they will be able to make a big contribution to bringing Tottenham into candidates  strong title winner this season. against chelsea i think the tottenham squad are very ready to give a tough fight.

After Man City and Liverpool, Tottenham are bookmarkers favourite to clinch the tittle. I aslo throw a big shot to them because there head coach Conte is a specialist in a league game although ucl football isn't his thing. But Tottenham need to show there intent with a statement win against Chelsea this weekend because they lost five times to them last season

Just a couple of hours ago, I read the news that Barcelona will not be able to register newcomers for the game with Rayo Vallecano, has something changed? Whatever lever is applied, it's now a matter of budgeting for wages - Barcelona is still over the cap. As I understand it, today is the last day to resolve this issue, and in general there is time before the end of the transfer period.
I'm quite confused about what barcelona is doing, whether the barcelona management is wrong in the calculations, or whether they actually have a solution for the financial crisis and all the problems that have happened lately. this really makes us wonder.  even so, several leading media have reported, barcelona vs rayo, barcelona will not be strengthened by newcomers.
they must be willing to wait until the problem of player wages has been resolved.
On the other hand, this is a good opportunity for Depay, in my opinion, he will go all out to steal Xavi's attention so he can stay at Barcelona.

Yes, now it's official information - in the game with Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona will play without newcomers. I wonder how this will affect the quotes of the bookmakers - the last thing I saw was 1.2 for the victory of Barcelona. In the current conditions, when all plans are destroyed, the odds should be seriously changed, and if the bookmakers do not do this, it will make sense to bet on Rayo Vallecano.
Although barca can't have there full squad against Vallecano but betting for Rayo to win this match is huge gamble. Barca current squad is still enough to beat Rayo Vallecano. But just like last season and since its the first of the season. The games are unpredictable
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without internet: SMS service allows sending BTC with a text on: August 12, 2022, 04:39:07 PM
It's actually a great innovation mostly to Africans as some areas are still lacking in the issue of Internet. But the case of sms having to involve the network providers as Third party isn't that a security problem. And what happens when the receive has a slight network issue and the sms is arrives late? Does this innovation has a solution in check for that
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 10, 2022, 04:24:54 PM

Ronaldo was unfit that was why he wasn't in the starting eleven against Brighton last weekend but later came on, instead Erik Ten Hag played Eriksen as a false nine, a bad tactics indeed, had it been Ronaldo was fit I think Rio Ferdinand formation would have been utilized by the manager, Anthony Martial who should have been the alternative striker was ruled out due to injury while Rashford and Sancho played at the flanks thus Man Utd were left out without a real center forward, however I think Ronaldo will work on his fitness before the end of the week to enable him to start and play as their main striker while Eriksen goes back to his usual midfield role.
Ronaldo was fit for that game, just that Ten Hag wasn't happy that Ronaldo didn't participated much in the pre season and also the coach wanted to make a statement to the dressing that he is the boss. Let just say Ronaldo and Ten Hag haven't have a great relationship yet
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2022, 03:59:03 PM

Manchester United is a little confused about what they really want in the club. Erik ten Hag don't need a striker, rather a defensive Midfielder that will be supportive to Eriksen position, because Christian Eriksen is so creative that he delivers and make absolutely 100% crosses into the opponents box. United defend and Midfield is not that sharp to start with, Harry Maguire, Dalot and Luke Shaw both make punishable errors at the backline of the game. While the Midfield, Mctominay and Fred always makes mistakes and not always available to make decisive passes when necessary.
You are actually right if you say United need a proper DM but saying that United doesn't need a striker I don't agree with that. United need a proper striker aside CR7. Martial is not reliable
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 09, 2022, 04:43:02 PM
I can't stop laughing at this story linking Arnautović and United - it is a perfect example of how low they have fallen. I think there is no chance that United is actually interested - but then again - they signed Ighalo not so long ago on a similar kind of deal.
They were actually interested in Arnautovic, but since the first bid was rejected and the fans absolutely opposed the move, the bid has been dropped completely, that is the information from reliable sources today. Having said that, i second what you have said, Manchester United's transfer business is somewhat funny, whilst City and Liverpool are alluring players like Haaland and Darwin respectively, Erik's team is going for players like Arnautovic, Rabiot and players that wouldn't have been fit to play for a great club like Manchester United during their glory years.
Man utd is actually finding it hard to attract those quality players like city and Liverpool because of lack of champions league football. If you follow some of those new signings in both City and Liverpool you see that united actually bid for them. It just high time united focus on young players and start the rebuilding now than going for those old players
