221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it letting the bank know that you are a BTC Investor? on: February 18, 2024, 09:21:13 AM
As for me, I think it's wrong to tell them that you are a BTC investor, and by the way, I could remember clearly that this same thing happened to me before, I went to the bank and they asked me this same question, I told them I plan to keep that private, and I walk away, they solve the account and upgraded it.

Since that time I always make sure that the money I convert from crypto into Fiat is limited, the amount that's not too alarming, and also I ended up going to another bank entirely, abandoning the old one, today things have changed, if your account is limited you can increase the limit yourself, by going into the account app settings and providing some information using your debit card or credit card.

Some will ask for extra important details too, if the amount is up to $20,000 I believe, but all in all, it's better to keep it away from banks, it's their duty though, but not all humans that works in a bank can be trusted, even bank workers can be criminals in disguise, they can hunt you down secretly.
222  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: February 18, 2024, 08:47:08 AM
How can you gamble with an empty pocket? Before you misunderstood me, I asked this because in the hope of making money from gambling you will need to have money to put at risk first.

I know someone who wanted to pay some rent which was around $200 and he started using every money he could get to place bet on some football matches, by the end he risked it all he was unable to make the rent money from gambling and when he calculated how much he have used to place those bets it's almost a $100.

I laughed so hard on that day because if he could have paid half of that rent bill he would only need to look for the other half, but now he has no money to tell anything and also he owe those that he some part of the money from to place those bets.

If you don't have money that's yours, don't try to gamble, if you are in debt you could land up in more debt if you choose gambling as your source of paying back the debt.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be very careful and attentive when selling your bitcoins on: February 18, 2024, 07:18:44 AM
Is that the right lesson to be learnt from this? To avoid using market price to sell large amount of bitcoin? I would rather advice people to go for the best exchange that has massive liquidity to sell their large BTC bag, for example Binance exchange.

People should avoid crypto exchanges that are struggling with volumes and liquidity, imagine BTC that have massive volume suffering on such exchange, that's shows that the exchange is a failed one.

Never ever use a unpopular exchange, there are many reasons why you shouldn't use them and this is just one of the reasons, I hope this person learn from this big mistakes, and I hope they recover from the losses, it must have been a very painful experience, to even raise a 0.5Bitcoin today seem impossible for many old and new investors.

225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: February 12, 2024, 02:42:00 PM
KYC mandatory platforms should not be seen as P2P platforms, because they have your data already, and you can't use their P2P service without passing their KYC verification requirement first.

This makes the whole P2P a lie to me, something that has been going on in crypto space for so long now, when the centralized entities comes, they will change every thing from privacy and decentralization into centralized way and stupid people will always welcome them.

Any centralized exchanges offering P2P services are third parties themselves, because they have secure all P2P users data by asking for KYC.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: February 12, 2024, 12:13:52 PM
Women are more emotional than men in nature, I believe that women will be more easier to control in gambling, because most of them can't handle defeat, when they lose a lot of money they know how to retreat, men will still choose to push forward, but women will run.

I know that women do fall into gambling addiction too, but I know like five males that are victim to addiction in gambling and only 1 female that's a gambling addict, this to me shows that men become more addicted to gambling than women.

Women don't like taking a lot of risks like men are used to, especially in things that have everything to do with luck only, and the very few women that are into such things are been stamped with names, people will call them women like men.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 12, 2024, 11:50:08 AM
Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

I don't know if this applies to all games or not, but I feel like this often when playing table games. What do you think?
I always bet small right from the start and I most times lose money, but because the amount is too small its nothing to write home about.

Whereas, some people will say that I am not winning because I am risking too small money, so why are you losing when you risk big money and start winning when you lose small money?

Maybe it's because this is what works for you, or maybe it's because small amount gives you the calmness you need, to make the right bets? I think you should check yourself, many aren't aware of themselves, by the way, what type of game you talking about? Slots or sports games?

Are you always in fear when you risk big money? This could be the cause of everything, meaning you are risking what you can't afford to lose, and it's causing distraction for you, maybe?
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 12, 2024, 10:03:17 AM
It's been like two years now that I have grown fond of gambling, even though I did it only when I have that spare money that I can afford to lose in gambling, since the beginning of my gambling activities and till today, I've never look back to do some calculation on how much I've spent on gambling.

I don't need to do this because it's pointless to me, the only thing that requires me noting it down is my investments, and that's because I spend a lot of money in investment, that sweat and stress is enough and worthy for me to note down, it's not the same in gambling.

I do gambling with small money, the amount that those who want to make the biggest money from gambling will never want to use, but I don't mind, because I have a different goal in gambling and that's not even close to making a life changing money from gambling, I can make it from my investments, and that's why I pour more money, better money into investment than gambling.
229  Other / Beginners & Help / I want to know more about Wallet address poisoning on: February 12, 2024, 08:03:03 AM
Don't say because I am senior member, I should know better, well I don't and I am willing to know now, so as to improve my wallet security every day if possible.

My question is about crypto wallet address poisoning.

1. How are scammers poisoning a wallet address?

2. Is it true that scammers only need to send a fake transaction or fake NFT to your wallet address to get it poisoned?

3. What are the capability of a poisoned wallet address in favour to the hacker?

4. Can address poisoning affect Bitcoin wallet too, like Electrum?

I did my own research but I am not sure, I read that if a wallet address is poisoned the transaction history will be affected, the trick is capable of changing your last two or three transaction to a fake wallet address.

The fake address will have the same first and the last four alphabets as the last original address that you sent some coins into the last time you use your wallet.

I can't confirm if this is the true figure of what address poisoning means, is this right or not?
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullrun top on: February 11, 2024, 11:24:20 AM
Whatever happens you will be fine if you keep taking profits, many people are accumulating Bitcoin now, and that's the only thing they know how to right now, and nothing will prepared them for profit taking when Bitcoin grows higher, this is how many people loses out in every bull market.

Start planning your exit strategy right now, either a new ATH is achievable or not, you won't miss out completely if you have a profit taking strategy.

It's likely that Bitcoin will smash through 69k this time around as this is what my own tools are showing me, but even at the edge of breaking this old ATH I already have my plan to take profits at that point.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 11, 2024, 10:32:38 AM
You can't find me in the midst of friends that are gambler, and I don't take anyone along to become a gambler like me, in fact, I have always advise against it, because if someone turn into a gambler because of me and they get addicted, I will be the one to blame, by his other friends and families.

You don't want to carry someone along in this gambling thing, you will hate yourself, it has happened to me in Bitcoin investment, and they forced me to carry them along, I should have just told them to do their own research themselves, but I thought I was doing them a favour, it later turned out that Bitcoin started dropping and they panic, saying their money is shrinking every day, in the end I told them to sold if they can't withstand the loss.

Till today I am not in good terms with them, and they failed to realize their own mistakes too, calling Bitcoin a reap off scam coin, since that time I've vowed to never do such favour again, so I believe that gambling will even be more ugly.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break in gambling on: February 11, 2024, 09:35:02 AM
I can't count how many times I have taken some time off gambling, it's easier to do if you have important things going on in your family, as a family man you have to give time to your kids and spend time with them, playing in a garden is enough to eat up your free time.

Taking a break is necessary and helpful too, when you engage in something too many times you feel bored and tired of it, so mixing that free time with something else is not a bad plan at all.

I spend some of my free times with family, movies, video games and holidays, gambling is not a must for me, but there are times that I feel the thirst of gambling, and even though I know that I will likely throw some money away, but it's not a problem for me, because I risk what I can accept to lose.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 11, 2024, 08:35:10 AM
You want to increase your luck? You work on it, like I use to tell my young ones, the more seeds you sow the more the bags you are going to reap, if something is based on likely, you need to prepare more chances for yourself and this will increase the probability of getting lucky.

This isn't about gambling, it's about investment though, because in my past investments, I haven't get a result whereby all my portfolio failed, with diversity I have win more than I lose, luck is a part in this play but it works better because I diversify.

In gambling you need luck, and there isn't a way that diversification will work here, because gambling is totally different from investment, you only have to lower the risk you take, with your money when gambling, there is no analysis you can do here, all you have is past data of a sport or game, what will happen in the next minutes can't be predicted.
234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DO NOT plug random cables and sticks into your device. on: February 11, 2024, 07:52:44 AM
Thanks for the warning and the write up OP,  the only thing I connect to my PC is my smartphone, moving files in and out, nothing else, I know about the dangers of connecting any USB into your PC, as I have messes up my whole Windows OS several times this way.

My mistake then was collecting files from friends through USB flash, movies and software and later my windows OS will start misbehaving, people are so careless that they can carry trojan in their USD flash wherever they go and if you are the type that likes freebies, it's possible you will want some freebies out of a infected USB flash.

Till today, I don't take files and software from anyone anymore, its like they are more careless than I am, as for crypto related softwares, I don't run them on my PC anymore, I bought a airgapped crypto wallet some time ago and it's completely offline, I know that the dangers of fake software are possible to penetrate your hardware wallet security, just be careful when you are updating your hardware wallet.

I prefer not rushing to install the latest software update on my hardware wallet, not after few weeks of the software has been available, just in case if something is wrong with the new update.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Concern Regarding the Future of Bitcoin and Crypto Industries ! on: February 09, 2024, 07:14:45 AM
Bitcoin was never created to be friendly with any group of people or the government, it's a perfect warhead against the government, if the new hate comes it just makes Bitcoin a better digital currency, it's decentralized and their hate will make it look better.

It's only a fool that ignores the fact that the government will always hate what they can't control and that's after they tried to take it by force and they failed, let them do what they can, it still won't stop the fan boys from accumulating Bitcoin.

I do believe we have gone passed this now, they have no choice but to make some kind of law or move for transparency when people start using Bitcoin, because the only dirty talk about Bitcoin is moving of fund under the radar, which obviously the government will never like.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your response in placing live bets with a friend at a live sporting matches on: February 08, 2024, 12:26:13 PM
There is one thing I know about football fans, when your favourite club is losing that's when you will see some injustice happening, they will find some excuse, it will surely be more worse if the bet is between you and a friend, I have seen one that escalate into a fight between two friends.

Whatever happened in a football match is already in the past, either the ref is not doing is job well or not that's not the thing here, if you lose it's a lost and if you win is a win, once the final whistle is blown just accept whatever happens.

When arguments about football unfolds, it's always the losers that finds excuses just to make his favourite fan club look like they are been ripped off and cheated.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 08, 2024, 11:34:49 AM
Never sell anything because you want to gamble, this was how a guy lost everything he has in his room, he sold his generator at first and lost the money, he get on and sold him Ultra Wide monitor that costs a lot and still lose everything.

This went on for a while and his room got empty, it was at this moment he waked up, saying he messed up, now is started working hard to get those properties back again, gambling is not gold investment, it's not buying Bitcoin and hold kinda of investment.

The only money that fits gambling is the type that you have left after paying your bills and after you've do the needful in your home, it's a risky way to make money, it deserves only few percentage because winning has no guarantee but I bet you that losing is more guaranteed in gambling.
238  Economy / Services / Re: Hello Im new here and i can help you with privacy matters on: February 08, 2024, 10:42:17 AM
Damn, so how many KYC information you get? I think it's stupid to use your very own ID information to help people pass theirs, what if they have an evil intent of committing a crime online? You will be the target yourself not the real culprit, because they use your information.

This is one reason why selling KYC information is not safe, that's why I ask how many KYC information of people that's in your possession? If I am right then it's not safe for those people whom you somehow rob of their identity, believe me, many people wont care going straight evil this days for money reasons.

Also, for the sake of crazy people like you are engage in such things, I will like to say you are still new and also unreliable, it's very hard to trust a newbie on this forum and you need to build up your reputation first.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Struggle now to invest in Bitcoin for a bright future. on: February 08, 2024, 09:32:04 AM
The bitter truths

1. If you are not making any money, don't look into Bitcoin investment or any other investments, they are not meant for someone like you.

2. Make sure you are comfortable enough, after you get a job or a source of income, make sure you can eat well, pay your bills and have spare money enough for investment, or else you will keep your eyes fixed on the Bitcoin value every day or else you overreact when price dump.

The easier and comfy your DCA is, the more you will be able to hold for a long term, have less expectations on price and take profit only what Bitcoin have skyrocket, in those times, people around you will start talking about Bitcoin, wanting to buy, simply because the price have made a new all time high, for you, it's the best time to take profit.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changing initial option and losing the bet on: February 08, 2024, 08:01:10 AM
OP you won't complain if the later option you choose is the one that work out for you, almost every gamblers do this, when mind isn't completely made up we become unsure about our decisions and we do something else, it's normal.

Maybe you should start working on making your mind up before you place bet? But to me its not a alarming problem, it's something everyone does, I did this when I plan to place bet on soccer matches and even when I want to invest in some assets, I can have a plan right now and when money comes I will change my plan.

This have saved me before, I picked some crypto projects to invest in when I get some spare money and when the money comes it felt like I choose the wrong projects in the first place, I did another research again and made some adjustments.
