221  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is meme risk worth the reward? on: March 16, 2024, 02:20:41 PM
Okay, here's why I'm here. I've been noticing memecoins trending lately, such as Pepe, Doge, Shiba, WIF, Wen, Myro, which started the charge. Before newer Solana memes like Peng, Brett (this one is on the base Blockchain), and recently Bome, making impressive gains. My question to my fellow Nigerians is, for those on the meme train:

1.How do you spot these memecoins quickly?

2.For someone like me who doesn't use dex, which cex is the best for listing early trending memes?

3. Is the reward worth more than the risk?

And any suggestions you could give.

1. The people who catch this trend way to early are degen traders and most at times airdrop hunters or farmers because they actually engage everyday on their handles and get first hand information on when the listing will be done and the gamble on it.

2. If you don’t like DEX then it is best you leave memecoins because it is on the DEX that you only catch them early the period they get listed to CEX the hype get much more and you will only be FOMOing into it if you buy this time around and the worst thing to do is to buy a pumping or dumping memecoin.

3. The reward to risk ratio of every memecoin is always 1:1 and that’s why you see when people get profit from it it is always massive because no one knows which direction you can go. A $10 can be $1k plus in hours on memecoins same way a $1k can turn to $10 In hours too.

My suggestion if you don’t know anything about them it is better you stick to what you know. If by any chance you’re looking for a coin to gamble on then go for low or middle market cap gems with better use utility like the layer 2 coins we have now.
222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My opion and btc outlook for the next 2 years. on: March 16, 2024, 01:49:08 PM
Now the btc will gearing up for bull run together with altcoins also nice altseason coming.
So 60k-68k is good buying price then from here we go 110k then let's what happens.
But after 110k the next btc lowest support price will be around 90k.
So the main numbers for next 2 years 60k base level then 110-120k and then support 90k-100k.

Will have to agree with you that the $60k price will be a very strong support zone for bitcoin in the coming days. Yes I also think we will be swinging around in the market until maybe next month when the bitcoin halving might have occurred. It’s occurrence to me will create massive FOMO and we might see a huge pump of bitcoin price to the $100k zone which is my peak target for the 2024 and then the year 2025 will be more like the bull year with bitcoin raising to almost a $160k to $200k and then as usual we go back to the bear period again. This all forecasts are as result of past trends and with the shift of accumulation been done by big investors this time it could change direction.

sol is doing a great job and it's on the trend and many other projects especially the meme coins are operating there.

Exactly what seems to helping Solana stand out in this period is the fact that Ethereum network which usually houses memecoins is now facing too much congestion and this scalability problem is the driving tool to which many people are looking into Solana for fast and cheap transaction solutions. The memes on its network will help it too to grow so much in this bull run as it currently is the place for meme coins now
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 15, 2024, 11:56:40 PM
This Rashford news I keep seeing in the newspapers, internet charter etc about the number 10 him leaving for PSG is looking more likely than not... especially that United hasn't sold a player for profit in a long time and an 80 million opportunity presents itself ... come on his going and secondly I think Rash has lost his spark for United and a new challenge is the only thing that could rekindle his love for the game and a burst back to form!!! Some fans might not like this, but it's the only way to give the team a new breathe of fresh air and reshape the team...let's go United #Ratcliffe_effect_at_play

Last Season Rashford was on a thirty goals and the most for the club. This season they had a very bad start to the season and it affected the club again. In this two cases the club had definitely received bids for the players before it down. Yes Rashford might not be scoring goals now amend wasting chances but shouldn’t he be given enough chances to prove himself.

Also I will say the amount looks good for him but we all know this English clubs do not sell their home grown players easily, Rashford on the other hand had clearly shows his interest of not wanting to move elsewhere. Personally he is been bad this season but I think to me he deserves Second chance to maybe return the favour United have on him although that will corm at the cost of leaving off this huge amount to sell him now but the gamble might be worth it because a good winger like an inform Rashford doesn’t come by easily and when they do they are expensive
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 15, 2024, 11:39:37 PM
Now, here's the matter here, when they go into the actual gambling. It is not what the expected thing of theirs to happen and that's going to make them surprised with that because the anticipation from doing paper bets is what they have been based of.

But then, after trying the actual thing then it's best to just welcome them to the real thing and the real world with these kinds of bets that they would do soon.

For a started it’s just like a demo trying to explain what some terms means but after that I do not think it will go in a way to help them psychologically when trading with one’s real funds. The paper betting doesn’t comes with emotions so the fun isn’t there and once this person gets to the real one they start to get scared as not to lose money and with this fear one definitely ends up picking panic games or odds and later end up winning.
225  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How we fit benefit from FG clampdown on Binance? on: March 15, 2024, 10:14:04 PM
The whole country know say federal government dey give Binance serious wahala for the past one month now. Them say the exchange follow make naira dey fall. How them take reach that conclusion I nor know but that one nor be wetin I won discuss with una today. As kasala don jam Binance, e nor go bad make our local crypto platforms step up to fill the space wey Binance don leave. Bitcoin Chief, Patricia, Roqqu and the rest for seize the opportunity, add more features to their platform, instead of just being p2p platforms, them fit become exchanges. With the problems Binance users for Nigeria dey face, e nor go hard for them to get the volume in a year or two.

When an international association or entity is facing a issue the local competitors actually step up to fill those gaps and then use that period to create awareness that’s not the case in this space. For a cryptocurrency exchange to grow in volume I think the developers have to have large funds themselves to Carter for things, which is a big obstacle for this local platforms.

But you know why I think this local exchanges wouldn’t get that needed recognition? It’s because the early ones have damaged their reputation and credibility. One of the issue is the slow response to support requests and that’s the most frustrating aspect, also most of them charges way too high then some international exchanges. This reasons are why people are very skeptical about using them.

  • scam traders flaunting their progress to lure novice into trading of their coins

This is one of the most common scam going round at all he moment, during every bull run almost everyone is an expert in crypto or a great analyst. Many scammers create signal groups on social media and post some set of Altcoins that would pump and since it’s bull run this potential victims see the result and continue following the scammers until they develop there own scam token and advice their followers to put their funds on it and then they rug pull. This is very common and this is an old scam that I don’t think will end anytime soon as long as people find a way to get some tokens that pump they will continue to be lured to this scammers
227  Other / Meta / Re: Can Merits be Deleted if the Merited Post is Removed in a Self-Moderated Thread? on: March 14, 2024, 09:36:10 PM
You just explained it very well. The merit word just explained that there is a tendency of abuse of self moderation. It means that the Op of the thread deleted posts that received upto 9 merits. If a post should receive a merit, it means it is a quality post. So, the self moderator therefore deleted quality post(s). To make it more understandable, the admin should consider to rephrase the statement as suggested by alone055.

A quality posts can still be considered as an off topic to that particular discussion by the OP and someone or people who issued the merit might be agreeing with that post but still the OP of the thread would feel leaving it would derail the conversation elsewhere which wouldn’t want on that particular thread and then he might result into deleting the post just to keep the thread clean. The best thing to do by the one who’s post was deleted is to just create his own thread an post his views there and then the thread wouldn’t be deleted again except otherwise by the admin or moderators
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 14, 2024, 09:09:15 PM
Xabi has been with Leverkusen for almost 3 years, so he can get to this point in need of a process. So if Bayern want instant results it seems that is also difficult to happen. Because I believe Every coach must have a process, there are not many coaches who can give a champion when he just comes. So if Bayern want him, it is also the same as the previous coach because there is no definite guarantee from Xabi.

I think you might have missed calculated but Xabi Alonso is just into his first full season at Bayer Leverkusen, he joined in the middle of last season (late 2022) when the club were in crisis and were in the 17 place in the league. Alonso who was managing the second team of his former club Real Sociedad join Leverkusen and since that last season the signs were there That he was going to take the club back to where it belong. He almost qualified miraculously for the champions league spot but fell short to Leipzig and had to settle for the Europa league which was also a very impressive result considering where he took the team from.

Yes Coaches need more time in their new clubs to develop something but Alonso has shown that an immediate impact can also be left by a manager, this doesn’t mean he will replicate same at a new club but this has shown that he can adapt early to just any league and club
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 14, 2024, 08:48:08 PM
Congratulations Arsenal you got away with an uphill battle. I think in some league games you are very good and that will continue into the UCL. But I was wrong, Porto is quite strong. Porto made Arsenal difficult. They worked hard and made it to the penalty. In the penalty I was quite amazed by Raya's performance. He managed to thwart 2 penalties. Of course this will be history, because they managed to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Definitely a hard fought win for Arsenal, when they got Porto after the draws I was on about that it wouldn’t be an easy game for them but their fans thought otherwise. Porto brought their A game to the match and could have snatched a victory there. David Raya came clutch for them and it signifies why Arteta seems to trust the Spaniard more, he is a better penalty goalkeeper than Ramsdale and in competition like this you need goal keepers like that. Diego Coasta in the Porto post wasn’t also a bad option in keeping out penalties too just that he didn’t got lucky yesterday, as the five Arsenal players that came to shoot are regular penalty takers and are good at it.

There is a stat around that for the past few years the team that knocks out Porto always ends as the champions league winners if the fate Carries on then Arsenal might be on about it. Many might be doubting them but with there recent performances I think they can go far just that they might be short of experience going that far. But this time I am not ruling out the possibility of it happening because they got quite an incredible team for that
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new meme coins with potential? on: March 13, 2024, 11:58:00 PM
You can probably start by looking through platforms like Dextools and Dexscreener. Usually these memecoins appear there as soon as they are launched, but the problem is there as so many that never make it that high in 24 hours. Most of them are just scams and rug pulls. It's a huge gamble if you are lucky to get one that goes to grow bigger over time and get listed in bigger exchanges

Dexscreener remains the best to me in spotting this low memcoins combine with wallet like phantom you can bag this Solana memcoins. Over the few days we have seen many coins been lunched under Solana ecosystem and within days they easily pull a 10x increase. Also they’re others that easily just rug pull immediately they get lunched and people start pouring in volumes. One thing I will advice the degen traders because that’s what they call them selves is to never consider this memes as investment but rather as a gamble and the money they put into it is just like a wager to gamble. And once you see a little a profit take some off and convert to something solid like the parent coin itself Solana.
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Doing my bitcoin investment anonymously while left a friend behind. on: March 13, 2024, 11:47:11 PM
It’s a great security or privacy thing to actually hide your Personal finances from just anybody, this protects you against unwanted questions and  security concerns. Concerning what to do with your friend it will be bad to not allow him benefit from this, so you might as well disguise and tell him that you have been reading about the bitcoin and use that chance to tell him that he can as well buy at just any price but the best method is to DCA and hold for long term. Also advice him that the articles you have been looking into suggests the use of money one can afford to lose.

With that Been said my advice to you and your friend is don’t see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and invest just any amount, it has its bears and the bull period so go in with an amount you can afford to lose
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 13, 2024, 11:30:22 PM
Their problems are pretty obvious, how can you score three goals in the first half and still loose the game? Did they relent in trying to score goals, or did Bournemouth improve much in the second half. I feel it is a bit of both, because yes Bournemouth improved, but if Luton town have still tried to score they would have because they have been able to score goals against the big teams in the premier League. They were excited about leaving the relegation zone before finishing the task. If they survive this season, they will have to find a fix for their defensive challenges.

This is completely the wrong side of Luton this entire season, I feel if they by any chance can have a solution to this their defense leaking goals just anyhow they would have been way up the table and not been dragged into This relegation battle with others. One thing I will always say is no matter how you score goals your team defending against a goal actually determine your wins. Last season scoring goals wasn’t a big problem to Arsenal but defending it was and what happened they bottled the league against opponents that they already had a winning position in already. I have been a big Luton fan all season because of how small and determined the club is to stay in the premier league but if you can throw away a 3-0 lead to Bournemouth then you can’t escape the fall to me
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 13, 2024, 11:18:33 PM

I don't want to see what happen to Chelsea happen to Liverpool but Klopp exit is going to cause a lot of damage psychologically to the players, emotionally and even mentally because 9 years been in a club working energetically is something that you wouldn't see anywhere, even while on his last season with his club, man was doing well and has won them one trophy, if he should luckily win the Premier League, it will be more tense and emotionally the day he will be saying goodbye and I doubt if the players are going to be like the same ever again.

The Chelsea situation is far different from Liverpool’s, Chelsea had a change of the hierarchy of the club while Liverpool is only changing the manager. With a good hierarchy there will be better structure in the club and Liverpool wound be missing Klopp to much. But should they have a top like the Manchester United glazers then it will only grow bad for them.

Pep is someone I don't think Manchester City will make any harsh decisions, I have noticed how teams retrace their contract on coaches anytime they win the Champions League, if Pep leave Manchester City today, even Manchester United will run after him because he just too good even though he has the best players right now. If he is able to do good players like, even if he get to another club, he will have a perfect eye to make another good selection because people always think he can't win matches without Haaland and KDB.

Pep wouldn’t leave Manchester city now although with the champions league already won he will have a change of heart and will like to take a new charge. Yes Pep is good and no doubt about it but Pep wouldn’t cope in a club with limited financial resources to throw out. He would find it hard to get a new De Bruyne and Halaand, but still credit goes to his man management, other managers can have this resources and still not be successful as him
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 12, 2024, 08:35:50 PM
When it cones to betting sometimes it is better to listen to others prediction or perspective.
Sometimes our betting in sports depend on our favorite team, we wouldn't consider the opposite teams strength or advantages.

There is this strategy I know don’t bet on your favourite team, your prediction might be clouded with emotions. Aside that it is better to get use to sticking to your own predictions but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hear or look at out others view on it. But completely trusting only people’s forecasting only actually kills the joy in it and this sometimes are gotten only when you pay for it. Paying for something like a game is somewhat different and can lead to gambling addiction to me because you will want to get back the money you spent on that.
235  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will Nigeria crypto and forex traders ever enjoy liberty?? on: March 12, 2024, 08:25:33 PM
Thank you, I used Kucoin but the number of P2P agents is very low. Nigeria will miss binance for a while

I have to disagree with you on this maybe the period you use the platform the P2P trading vendors might be low which is still unbelievable to me or you might have been looking to trade for a very low amount which is something this is very low interms of vendors.

KuCoin is my biggest P2P exchange aside binance in fact they were times I prefer it way more than binance itself. It supports are proactive interms of queries or anything. But if you do not want to use it then use Bybit it is one of the most famous platforms for Nigeria crypto future traders and as such has enough vendors using it too
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 12, 2024, 08:17:00 PM
That's true but the biggest mistake they made was drawing there match against Liverpool because that was there opportunity of becoming the top position of the premier league but they lost the chance, funny enough if they had utilize all the opportunity they had on that match they would have surely win Liverpool but right now nothing is certain yet because they also have Arsenal to face and Liverpool still have a point different with Manchester City and there is every chance that Liverpool will win there next match and after then they will still obtain there first position while Arsenal on the second leaving Manchester City on a very tight corner, so for now is really difficult for Manchester City.

What I will say is Manchester city were more lucky to have even gotten a point from the game, Liverpool dominated the game and Should have won the game had Luiz Diaz converted his clear cut chances. For a very long term I have never seen Pep’s team been draw back before until this game. So if there should be any club hitting their heads on the wall for the draw it should be Liverpool and not Manchester city.

What I will say concerning the remaining fixtures for both clubs is that they all need to focus on the clubs and not only on the big games. The matches you think might be a easy walk for them could be difficult one for them considering the fact that clubs will be fighting to avoid relegation or miss out from the European competitions can be tricky
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2024, 08:08:23 PM
Am just going to comment on a random transfer that might be surety in the next transfer window opening.
Mbappe am sure would part ways with PSG as the team is already preparing for a life without him, while fixing their gaze in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli.  Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid and am sure that's where he would be playing from in coming season.
Also, there's talks of Manchester United willing to accept negotiations for Anthony who has been short of expectation, while the other Manchester city, may be willing to accept a bid for the German talisman, Debryune, from Saudi Arabia pro league.

It’s all but confirmed that Mbappe will be heading to Madrid except there is a twist In the saga which I don’t expect to happen. Yes the link between Madrid and Victor Oshimen is clear and genuine. They wanted Mbappe and a high profile young striker, while Halaand was there preferred choice it will be huge tussle to take him away from Manchester city. So Oshimen is a better back up choice and will definitely improve the team. With Osihmen and the young Endrick the striking line seems sorted out to me. The problem now will remain who needs to leave to allow balance in the wages, Rodrigo could be the player to be shown the exit door I think.

Anthony has yet to live up to expectations since his arrival at Manchester United, his career seems over especially with the use of Garnacho on his wing, so I am not surprised that United will have to cash on him but it will be at a great loss. The best thing i think is to loan him out to a premier league club to get regular football and probably it could be all he needs
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 11, 2024, 05:10:10 PM

Yes, Munich always dominates the Bundesliga. Usually, they will win with quite a large point difference from the other teams. Maybe just last season Munich almost lost the Bundesliga trophy. and this season it seems inevitable that they will not get the Bundesliga trophy.
now the dominance belongs to Leverkusen. and if it can last for the next few seasons, it will be an attraction for the Bundesliga where Munich will have strong competitors.

Seriously it was seen that over the past few years a worthy competitor was needed to challenge Bayern Munich for the league but over the years Dortmund who many deemed as the best challengers were always falling short of winning this title and last season was way worse when they had just a 90 minute of football to do that but like other years bottled it.

This year Bayer Leverkusen have stood up to Bayern Munich in a most competitive fashion I never thought we will ever witness in the near future. This season is all but certain to be theirs now the main question is whether they will continue this impressive form. It will only be viable only if the orchestrator of all this stays. Xabi Alonso as we all know is linked to numerous clubs that I will not dear think he will not go to. If he moves it will be a miracle to see Leverkusen build on this next season but should he stay then we might be looking at a new face of Bundesliga
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin all time high, is it ETF effects or pre halving cycle on: March 11, 2024, 05:01:11 PM

But if we are honest, going above the previous ATH is not really that impresive, as almost all the forum members expected for this to happen, the surprising thing during this cycle is the speed at which this is happening, since the halving has not taken place yet and a new ATH has been reached already.

It wasn’t surprising because the hype that would drive the whole trend was spotted right from the long term. If you look at the whole of last year it was overall a bullish year which wasn’t the case for other previous year to the bitcoin halving year. The most obvious reason was when the hype was at its peak in the end of 2023 which base on past trends was supposed to be a bearish period but ETF saga pumped the market and it continue until it’s approval this year. Some investors like myself were expecting a heavy correction then especially with the $50k price broken but it was just a day correction. After That I was definitely expecting ATH before halving
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 09, 2024, 07:36:31 PM
Is Osimhen good enough for PSG? I’m almost sure that during Spalletti’s time, there were better times for him and many clubs were interested in him, but now everything has changed, although he is a good striker, his results are not as good as they were in the past. In addition, Napoli still considers him a top forward, and does not want to let him go without a big compensation, because he has a contract with Napoli until the summer of 2025.

So it is quite possible that he will remain in Naploi again, as he did in the last transfer window.

They say form is temporary but class is permanent, so yes Oshimen is good to play for just any club in the world currently. People are using this season to rule him out already not knowing that he had injuries before and during the season which hampered his progress, not to talk of the AFCON tournament he went to and guide his country to the finals. If we say Oshimen poor season doesn’t make him qualify for clubs like PSG then the likes of Kvarashkelia is also not that worthy then. Oshimen isn’t happy at Napoli and that’s why his impact isn’t that great as compared to last season but we can’t argue about his quality to be sincere, an Oshimen in that PSG attack will add fire to the attacking squad. But for me i will advice a premier league move than the Ligue 1 but until he is guaranteed a spot in the starting eleven or a chance to fight for it and not just any club where he will be under appreciated like Napoli now
