221  Other / Meta / Re: Post per day/ per month falling. on: April 16, 2024, 04:38:10 PM
Not gonna lie, I'm getting bored of this forum.

Censorship (mixers), prominent members (or as I thought) turning out to be dickheads, can't see myself reading anything other than my local board (so much unnatural and boring content elsewhere). At one point I can see myself just leaving.
I kinda feel like this is what other early users went through in their time here. All the old OGs who helped make bitcoin and the forum what it is. Once the forum changed from what their view of it was, they left and went elsewhere.

It's sad to lose anyone who has done great things for the community. Hopefully something keeps your interest and keeps you around.
222  Economy / Reputation / Re: Whatever happened to all the morons who say that I am impersonating someone? on: April 16, 2024, 01:35:34 PM
It's getting interesting - this is the only meme I could think of.  Grin Grin

For someone that claims to be so smart, he sure made himself look quite ignorant with this new profile. Really needs to take a permanent break from the forum til he exits puberty.

Campaign is full again. I'll let everyone know if a spot open up.

What about if i was to create a wallet for this and set up tables for bitcoin and etherum, would i need a gambling licence?
You're in a planning phase of making this kind of game which is poker and definitely you need to have your own wallet provider for the business itself and for your users. And as for the gambling license, it's always been the hot take that many are saying that one needs to have it when you're going in the gambling business. But some say that if you're starting out, you can test and see how far you'll go and then take one if you're seeing the need of it based on how well doing is your business. But based on what I can see from you, you'll still need a lot of work to do because it seems that you don't know where you're coming from and where you're going to.

What about if it was my text based browser game currency and you can buy this currency with bitcoin or Ethereum and if you cashed in with the in game currency you get bonus

oh the game completed but im working on something offline.
Your goal should be to offer something better than the competition. Currently you would be competing vs Swc, Betcoin.ag, Stake, and WPN network. There are other sites as well, but these would be the most well known. Check em out and see if you can offer better.

226  Economy / Reputation / Re: Anonymity of Bitcointalk forum members on: April 14, 2024, 03:30:26 PM

Oh, I'm sure there are quite a few agencies that have members registered or at least lurking here.
I believe this as well. Probably a lot of alphabet soup within the boards of this forum. I would say a big IRS presence as the government always wants to get their piece of everyone's pie.

The mixers being gone might have calmed down some of the other alphabet soups presence.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about videos on mistakes in gambling sites and games? on: April 14, 2024, 11:43:27 AM
Personally, if the information these influencers is publishing is false, they might be damaging a companies reputation and should be held accountable for their actions. Stop producing fake or misleading content or be charged with libel.
228  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cryptoreaper.io----We have created a gambling website on: April 14, 2024, 10:46:16 AM
I have some questions about your site...

on the affiliate section, we see: Earn up to 40% commission when your friends start betting. What do you mean with 40% commission?

And about fairness, to make the games fair users should be able to see the secret seed from each round before the game starts, since isn't that way the outcome can be manipulated and that isn't provably fair at all.

Q:40% commission
A:For example, Peter challenges a coin flip game worth $100. Peter will bet $100 and when Peter wins, Peter will receive $199.5 (the platform charges 0.5% fee).

If Peter is the customer you invited, you will get 40% of the $0.5, which is $0.2.

Q:users should be able to see the secret seed from each round before the game starts...
A:Very good proposal.
In fact, this is a UI design bug.
Already updated.

You could make the referral commission 90% and it still wouldn't be very interesting as a person would have to have a bunch of games played and lose them or half of them for a person to earn money from the .5% the site charges. I just don't see the site being busy enough for anyone to try.
229  Economy / Services / Re: 8ombard Signature & avatar campaign(1 Full member spot open) on: April 14, 2024, 10:11:38 AM
Payments were sent to everyone who qualified, there are open spots for full members. Those that keep reapplying, I have looked at your profiles and posts at least once and if I haven't selected you by now, I probably will not be selecting you anytime soon. Take a look at your profiles and see if you are posting on the gambling boards now and then, not burstposting, have been active the last few months, don't have a spammer tag from other members, and earn merit now and then. Those are the users I am interested in.

230  Economy / Reputation / Re: There is an abuse of merit in there is abuse of merit on: April 14, 2024, 07:57:10 AM

I am also surprised that a new member has given me many merits. Why did he give so much merit to my account? They don't understand anything new but must also know why they gave me this merit. Their accounts need to be monitored.

I am more surprised that my post is about merit abuse, but my post is getting merit like this. I am shocked.Roll Eyes
Congrats, you have now put yourself on the radar. I am not sure why folks make a post here and think that it will not draw attention to themselves? The community has seen nearly every trick in the book by now, most of us have been here 7-10 years.

No, no, buddy, you are in vain trying to separate yourself from this group. Your history of merit has a lot to do with those who participate in the competition. Such coincidences do not happen, just believe me. I simply have no other connections, so sleep well for now.
Love the last line, sleep well for now lol.

232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 13, 2024, 11:52:58 AM
But it was even better when the ball was gotta be on the out of bounds and that ball save by White but then passed to Lebron and what a way to finish that posession.
Big finish by Lebron and with that shot they have the win. Honestly I think the game would be easy for the Lakers but it turns out they are having a hard time beating the undermanned Memphis Grizzlies, so now I have doubt if they can beat the Phoenix Suns. With that win also, that put them at the number 8 possesion, which means even if they loss to the Suns, they still have a chance on a do or die game.

Davis and Lebron were beast in that game, but if they want to make this team advance in the playoffs, they need everyone to get involve, especially  Russell who was out of tune in this game scoring 4 points only.
Yeah, what a way to finish the game and I thought that we'll see some clutch. But we actually saw a clutch but that's a different clutch that we're not expecting.

This is what really means when there's still time left, anything can happen but on this game, it was still in the favor of the Lakers instead of the Memphis.
Clutch in terms of defense but if that was a last shot that is far from the ring, that would not sink in as we know Lebron is not that type of clutch player.

Next game of Lakers is on Monday against the Pelicans. Whilst for the Pelicans, they've just won against the Warriors today.

I think it's not anymore a bearing game for the Pelicans because even if the Pelicans will be tied with the Suns in case the Suns will beat the Timberwolves, I think The Pelicans have more wins between them and the Suns. However, for the Lakers, Warriors, and Kings which are currently tied, they all have their last games, so it's still important to them as they are aiming from that 7th or 8th spot.
I think the Lakers, Warriors, and Kings are all fighting for the last play in game spot aren't they? 2 out of 3 of those teams will not make the Playoffs. I think Lakers prob make it in personally.
233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kulboi123 is a Scammer - BEWARE on: April 13, 2024, 09:11:02 AM
I really wish people would stop being cheap and use a damn escrow on here. You could have protected your $140 for a few more dollars. If the seller refuses escrow then you know not to deal with them.

Also, as Khaled said, personal text area we can put anything we want. Click in where it says trust and look at his feedbacks. If he has 0 feedbacks from DT or other accounts besides newbies, then don't risk it.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrity Poker Games: Publicity Stunt or Genuine Passion? on: April 13, 2024, 07:44:22 AM
Hey everyone,

I’ve been thinking about the influx of celebrities in the poker world and other gambling arenas. We’ve seen actors, sports stars, and musicians joining high-stakes games, some even participating in world-renowned tournaments. This got me wondering: is celebrity involvement in gambling merely a publicity stunt, or is there a genuine passion for the game behind the scenes?

Do you think their participation helps to popularize the game and bring it to a wider audience, or is it just another platform for their publicity?

Any your thoughts and any stories or cases of celebrity gambling that caught your attention. Have you come across any celebrities who are serious about their gambling pursuits? Or do you feel like these appearances are more for show than for the love of the game?

It can be both. Celebrities are just people like you and me at the end of the day and everyone can enjoy poker. It's an international game. These big tourneys pay a few celebrities or professionals to join the tourney and they get to use those celebrities names to advertise. Win/win for everyone.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW STAKE, 500 CASINO, BC.GAME AND OTHERS ALL A FUCKING SCAM on: April 13, 2024, 04:29:21 AM
Why open a topic defaming multiple casinos and not present any proof? If you lost money gambling on these sites, it doesn't mean they screwed or scammed you, just means the results weren't what you had hoped. If you gamble long enough, you will find that most times you lose man. Just saying a site is a scam doesn't make it true.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 12, 2024, 05:38:48 AM
Looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves will be getting Karl Anthony Towns back in time for the playoffs. With how well they’ve been playing I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but KAT is an elite talent so I’m sure he’ll help out. I just hope Anthony Edwards continues to get the ball as much. He’s playing great.

Honestly, I thought the Wolves might go down in the standings a lot after KAT got injured. To my surprise, that didn't happen, and they are still at the top of the standings. If KAT is indeed fully healthy by the start of the playoffs, then I would expect the Wolves to make a deep run in the playoffs. They have a good chance to make it to the WCF.
No matter who makes it to the Western Conference Finals, I don't think Denver is ready to lay down yet. They are still very dominant in the west and all roads to a championship will lead through them. Feels like a Denver/Boston series coming in June.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THERE ARE TWO THINGS INVOLVED on: April 12, 2024, 03:57:13 AM
While what you wrote is correct, you might try writing it a little different next time you post. That whole wall of text looks like 1 big run on sentence and is going to lose your readers interests fast. Just something to think about for the future.
238  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SOLVED] Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: April 11, 2024, 10:02:22 AM
I believe they have their new site up and running. If I can remember the name I'll post it(might be int his thread already), but there is a way to contact them if none of their rep accounts come online in the future.

It's basebet, with Sorsis as the "co-founder", and supposed to be a "test net", but from GekkeBelg's post, they've recently start accepting real money, so they've been fully operational.

One thing that I noticed when I visited their site yesterday was the lack of licensing authority's seal of validation, so I think they are running without any

[...]
The project "BaseBet" is a new project that I co-founded. It will be operating with our existing Casino software and with some upgrades to make it a true web3 platform with a smart contract interface where user funds will be non-custodial and completely under the users' control. That being said, what we have now is a demo, a "test net" of the platform. It is not operational, it does not accept any deposits, nor is any real money gameplay allowed. It is purely for demo and testing purposes as of now.

It will undergo a complete UI/UX redesign and rebrand, and further development work will be done before the official launch, which will take a few months. To summarize, it is not yet an active or a production website.
Ahh yep that's it. Thanks for posting the information for everyone. I don't know if sorsis will answer if anyone sends a support ticket there, but it's worth a shot if you are chasing money.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Betting. Why the Distinction? on: April 11, 2024, 07:27:11 AM
Both the same but I guess if you are betting on a 5000-1 longshot you are technically gambling more than if you bet on a 2-1 favorite. Slots are a total gamble as well, where a game such as blackjack has a skill factor in it. Maybe that's the difference? A game with or without skill involved determines the difference?
240  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tim The YouTuber Scammer - Avoid him at all costs. on: April 11, 2024, 06:03:31 AM
I have always had pretty positive dealings with Joel in the past. Reading the accusation I would hope that a peaceful resolution comes here and I like TSC giving the tag until this is resolved.
