221  Other / Meta / Re: My account was changed email on: February 06, 2024, 07:10:54 AM
My account recently changed email to something like ***bounce@invalid.com without my consent. I immediately change password and activate 2FA after noticing this notification when I try to view my trust page.

Maybe you should restore your account to your own email. Will the main email receive notifications when there is an email change? I haven't used FA yet, but I will be activating it soon due to reading your story. Hopefully your account is fine and you need to check your computer for malicious software.

Whether this incident has an impact on your wallet or not, you may want to consider changing your wallet for campaign payments. Before it's too late
222  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happens if someone sells an account on a neighboring forum? on: February 06, 2024, 02:45:43 AM
You summed it up very well here. It's vice versa too. So I must say that protect your account on the other forum too so that anything bad does not affect you on this forum too.

Do you mean it's better if we teleport the account there? Instead of having our account cloned or having the username imitated in another forum? This sounds logical to me and perhaps regardless of whether we want to use that account or not, at least no one can claim our account on another forum.

Whatever I do, I can't change the fee. It has been stuck for 24 hours now, way too far from the top and will probably stay like that until I figure something out.
If the OP is a bit clearer, we can be more accurate on resolving your issue, but:
Could be an "unbroadcasted"  transaction that you've saved instead of broadcast (if the "logo" isn't a green check, it's only a locally saved tx).
If this is the case, just delete that history and your bitcoins will return as balance since the transaction didn't went through at all.

Kalau masalah jaringan ane gatau gan, soalnya pas waktu itu ane coba mpe sekitar 3 kali tapi statusnya ga terbroadcase terus jadi ane pindah pake pc. Berarti masih normal ya, kalo gitu ane coba instal lagi.

~cut~

Terimkasih gan, lain kali ane coba kalo mau transaksi lagi. Sementara ini juga udah ane uninstall app electrum versi androidnya karena kirain dah ga bisa buat ngirim-ngirim lagi.
224  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: ELECTRUM - BITCOIN WALLET on: February 06, 2024, 12:22:29 AM
Gan @Husna QA

225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for Jupiter (JUP)!!!! on: February 05, 2024, 11:45:23 PM
What you think about this token? Been a big big build up and talk about this and a extreme hype for a very long time now and finally we soon ready for launch.
Will it be a success or a failure? However, be aware and be ready. This will be fun to follow!  Grin

Did you get the JUP airdrop, bro?

I see this token is very popular on social media and some say their wallets have been hacked. Altlayer and Zeta also look good. Before I joined the forum, I was hunting for the two airdrops, but unfortunately my wallet was not eligible
226  Other / Meta / Re: Methods of Signing your BTC address to prove your identity on: February 05, 2024, 10:21:08 PM
People stake their Bitcoin address and message because they need other forum members to quote that message, and verify it. The most important is quoting it because if no member quote it, if a Bitcointalk account is compromised, hacker can delete that post.
I believe after 24hrs all post that you made is automatically being saved even though you go edit it you could still find it available in nijastic.space and you can't delete that that is why most of the addresses that is associated with some account are being filtered out without the knowledge of the real owner except such user also uses Nijastic.space before they could know their post is being archived.

Yes, you are right. Ninjastic will archive all original unedited posts. And this process is so fast that even if the post is deleted some time after you post it (Maybe their data recording is less than 5 seconds after posting), your original post will still be recorded. Apart from Ninjastic, there is still data owned by LoyceV
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 05, 2024, 09:24:24 PM
I often run out of funds due to gambling that is too blind in terms of placing $$ on every bet I make and ends up losing. I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.

I think most gamblers experience something like this. At least sometimes. But don't push yourself too hard because it is very dangerous for your finances.

It's not easy to control emotions, but we shouldn't chase losses too much. You should already be starting to realize the mistake. It's better to withdraw your money when you win and have fun with that money, your life will definitely be much happier...
228  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happens if someone sells an account on a neighboring forum? on: February 05, 2024, 09:07:25 PM
Thanks for all your attention. Sorry I can't reply one by one.

1) The account was compromised and is was not me so who cares.
2) It was not compromised and it WAS me, but you can't prove it.

Yes that's true. However, if there is a famous member like you, maybe people will easily trust you because they think it's you on another forum. Hopefully someone doesn't claim member popularity on bitcointalk by creating the same username on a neighboring forum, because that could be very dangerous.

Do you mean selling the account created on other forum through teleport feature? I still didn’t use this teleport feature as I don’t like the forum that offering that but I believe the answer depends on the rules of that particular forum since that is already under their jurisdiction.

Yes, that's what I meant. However, apart from selling teleport accounts, it is also very dangerous if someone creates a new account using the username of a popular member on this forum.

Personally and as of today I would not leave feedback on any account on this forum because of what happens on another one. If something happens in that forum it is a problem there, as several members have said.

You don't have to stop. Maybe because of the problem a few weeks ago. I don't follow it but I respect your decision and what you do. You are a man of strong convictions, budd. There aren't many like you

Very important subject! I hope many users spend hours on this one of their meaningful life's.

Lol  Cheesy

Don't be too hyperbolic, budd.  Grin

So what you mean now is that if, for example, someone creates an account on AltcoinTalk and teleports their BTT account to that place and perhaps sells that account, what will be the punishment?

Well, I want you to understand that before you can teleport from this forum to the other side, you will have to keep your altcointalk profile link on your Bitcointalk profile (I believe you understand what I mean by that), and according to the admin of the other forum, keeping your ATT profile link on your BTT profile is for any other future reference.

So, if, for example, you sell your teleported altcointalk account to someone and it gets detected, maybe the buyer used your account to scam someone on ATT. I believe that your issues can be reported to the DT members in Bitcointalk, which could result in you getting a negative or neutral tag on your Bitcointalk account. (Just saying...)

Also, if you check the other forum, you will notice that they still have the feature where they can tag a user, but the problem is that their feedback is not operated like we do on this forum. That's to say, if there is any problem that can lead to getting negative feedback, you can still receive tags on the ATT.

It will be unwise or considered foolish if someone does what you (@OP) is thinking.

Thank you for explaining what I was thinking so well. One of the reasons I ask this question is so that other members do not do this and know the risks of doing this
231  Economy / Reputation / What happens if someone sells an account on a neighboring forum? on: February 04, 2024, 12:41:11 PM
Hi guys,

As usual I have something that makes me curious even though it's actually not important. But I will respect your opinion even with a little ridicule. lol  Cheesy

As we know, there is a neighboring forum that is starting to get busy for some reason, and we can teleport the account there. So what happens if someone sells their account on a neighboring forum? Maybe it hasn't happened yet, but someday it might happen when the neighbor forum becomes bigger than it is now. (I mean selling teleport accounts from bitcointalk accounts)

I think this will be related to trust and whether there needs to be a cross-forum DT policy? It sounds crazy, but the thought was actually in my head

Sorry I didn't mention the name of the forum and used the word “neighbor”, but I'm sure you understand what I mean
232  Other / Meta / Re: If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto How do I prove it? on: February 04, 2024, 12:26:10 PM
First of all Satoshi doesn't need to go back and prove himself.
"Besides opening one of the wallets" no matter what you do I wouldn't believe you are Satoshi. Even if you could sign a message I still wouldn't believe it. You may have his keys but not his identity. I believe Satoshi is long dead, his legacy will forever live.

So you’re saying Satoshi is Hal Finney is what I’m hearing Smiley If not, I don’t get the notion of so many thinking Satoshi is dead. Satoshi plotted its every move with very precise precision.. Satoshi is clearly in to economics in a big way, and I’d bet the moon they planned long before they left,  to do so. Every coin besides btc worth a darn or has any sort of market value has a known lead dev/creator/largest bag holder..and that goes against bitcoins principles ( a central figurehead ). Also (not saying this is you) it’s kind of funny that people reference his big known wallet that hasn’t moved as a clue of their demise.. I mean dude(s)(ets) created btc, pretty confident they created wallets, likely mined / purchased a bunch more through different outlets and perhaps different people on all sorts of different wallets..that large wallet sitting there provides a heck of a lot to bitcoins image.

I have my theories as it’s just fun to think about, but I’m glad they left and confident it’s for good..they want to see their massively historical creation continue to grow and thrive..which is helped by him staying gone.

I know theymos, Cyrus, hilarious etc just love these threads that NEVER come up ….so I’m done. Just had to say my 2 Satoshis

In my opinion, if Satoshi really comes back then he doesn't need to do anything and doesn't need to do a sig message to prove who he is, even though he forgot his email and password for his bitcointalk account. He just needs to create a new account and PM theymos and talk a little about the past. I think theymos will soon find out that he is the real satoshi or not. IMO
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 04, 2024, 06:19:59 AM
My neighbor has tuberculosis and from the information I gathered from a reliable source, his case is so severe. He is at the lung cavitation stage of the disease and he has been advised to avoid overcrowded environments for his health and the safety of others. But my neighbor who is a responsible gambler will always visit physical betting shops. Some physical gambling shops in my area are poorly ventilated and they could be overcrowded and stuffy. Sometimes you could see that he is struggling to remain in the casino shop and such cases he would be coughing heavily. I have told him to focus on online gambling but he told me that he is more entertained in physical bet shops.

I don't see any health benefits from the story you tell. Like a person who has lung disease but still smokes. If your neighbor is a responsible gambler and not a gambling addict then he should stop gambling for the sake of his health, but with his illness being quite serious but he continues to gamble then in my opinion he is a gambling addict.

Hopefully the disease is not a contagious disease because it could harm everyone in the casino
234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Cryptocurrency Abbreviation’s Terminologies on: February 04, 2024, 05:56:15 AM
Looks like you have a hobby of creating new threads. But unfortunately there are already a lot of threads like that and most of the members here already know the term.

Maybe you read too much so you like to repost existing ones and give suggestions to other members, but hopefully you also have time to do what you suggest to other people. goodluck budd  Wink

For the record the little time I have spent on the forum has made me to realize and understand that reading to understand is the only key to stay alive on the forum, well I have look at most senior high ranks members through their post one can tell the amount of reading and research work there have been doing I gist to there it a easier task at hand to them it use to them already.

A forum senior member told me he could not do without login to the forum for just a week, he say that he is going to hear a little guilty voice that speaks to him and he  said he is already use to it he also told me without reading it  just feels like the end of the world for him…
235  Other / Meta / Re: USE OF CHAT GPT-RULES on: February 04, 2024, 05:18:13 AM
In my opinion, there is no need for rules in using chat GPT because it is not our own thinking and using chat GPT is the same as using other people's thoughts.

Of course there is no problem if we discuss chat GPT. I liken it to a mixer that is prohibited from being promoted but we are allowed to discuss, like a drug that cannot be consumed but can be studied for research and treatment.

That sounds like a good idea. Chat GPT is used as a bot and guides beginners, so what will we do here if beginners have been helped by chat GPT? Maybe we will lose the discussion material. lol  Cheesy
236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SlowMist reports 80% of X comments related to phishing software on: February 03, 2024, 03:49:21 PM
https://bitcoinethereumnews.com/tech/slowmist-reports-80-of-x-comments-related-to-phishing-software/
"Cybersecurity company SlowMist analyzed social network X for malicious content.

Scam sleuths came to the conclusion that over 80% of comments under publications of well-known projects are related to phishing software.

That sounds really bad, I rarely use social media but I would be surprised if 80% of the links on X turned out to be phishing link. Apart from social media, phishing links also appear to spread via chat applications such as WA and Telegram

This month, two of my office friends' e-money accounts were hacked and maybe because they downloaded files from WA. Increasingly massive digitalization and a lack of knowledge about cyber security apparently makes fraudsters take advantage of it.
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make reading a habit on: February 03, 2024, 09:10:18 AM
I am sure people barely get time away from their screens (That includes me) and I haven't found any book recently which was too convincing for me to invest my time in it and read 200 pages.
In the past, I have read some economic books, some investments books too, and I think I have pretty much covered the great books already without making reading my habit so, I guess its random for me.

Yes, habits have changed and now we are busier in front of computer or cell phone screens. Now I rarely read books, but when I was in college I quite liked reading books, especially philosophy and sometimes also novels. When I like a book enough, I can stay up late to read it. I finished the Da Vinci Code almost without a break in my small boarding room, it took me two days and one night to finish 600 pages

I want to read regularly again because it has a positive impact on our frame of mind, but now work is enough to torment my mind and time.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 03, 2024, 07:44:20 AM
Investing is not gambling. In fact, if we invest carelessly, it is usually called gambling, but not in the true sense but only as a parable. Gambling is a game that involves risking money or something that has value and in reality it is very different from investment, and a ponzi scheme is a fraudulent motive that is usually affiliated with an investment motive, and I do not call it gambling but investment fraud

I never try to deliberately invest in something that will most likely be a scam in the future, but because you are ready for the risk and have good analysis before investing, then this is not a problem. But I like your way of managing risk

239  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: February 03, 2024, 01:49:47 AM
To avoid the unbearable loses that is why we are always advice that one should stake a minimal amount that he or she can afford to lose and still be comfortable with at a time so as to avoid being in a position that may not be ok with them at the end of the bet due to uncontrollable staking and  betting with an amount that is out of they risk level.

To be a responsible gambler, is to know when to stake and when to give sometime, and also how much we stake, and that is control and discipline in general, that is the attributes of a responsible gambler.
This is advice that is often given but rarely followed, as when people are gambling the last thing they want to think is about restricting their actions and betting a small amount of money, they are so immersed on the activity that they will do what they can to keep it going, and if this means betting a big sum of money, that is exactly what they will do, but once that excitement is over and they begin to think about what they did, that is when they may begin to regret their actions.

However, in practice, sometimes it is not easy, greed is basic human nature. Often emotions come to blows and at that time it is difficult to stop gambling before all our wallets are gone, and after everything is gone we only realize and regret it.

In my opinion, slot machines are one of the games that make someone addicted to gambling, in my country there are lots of slot gamblers and they are often irresponsible in gambling, this is also what makes me prefer gambling on table games rather than slot machines, before getting addicted it seems more well I don't play slot machines, although sometimes I get curious when I find out someone has won a big jackpot  Grin

Your key to staying alive in the forum is logging in and that is enough to make you live in this forum (online), then you need to make a post so that other members know that you are still alive, you need to read so you are not confused about what you will write

Reading is a necessity and we need to read a lot to know many things and that is not only in this forum. If you read more books then you will get a lot of knowledge and maybe you can share it here.

Of course the senior members here can't leave the forum as they have already joined the signature campaign, if they don't go online and write something here for a week they will probably lose their weekly pay and will most likely be kicked out of the campaign. So it's not because they love reading so much that leaving the forum for a week would make them restless, but because of the campaign. lol  Cheesy
