Congratz to the Man City fans

Man City has a really amazing achievement this season and I don't think many teams can do what Man City has done this season. They succeeded in getting a treble winner because they deserved it. They have had good preparation from the start of the season and all the players also have very good dedication. One of the important factors that can make Man City what it is today is the expertise that Pep Guardiola has.

The answer to whether many teams can do or have done what Manchester City has now done can easily be found on Wikipedia.
The last time a club from the Premier League has won the treble is 25 years ago and was won by Manchester United. There is no other English club who has done that before and there are only two clubs who won the treble twice and those are Barcelona and Bayern Munich. That is why the achievement is so impressive because it is very rare and difficult to pull it off.

its very interesting to go vacation in a beautiful beach while experiencing a community that relies on Bitcoin instead of local currency or the dollar. Really an exciting experiment!

How do you know that the guy sitting there with his wagon doesn't accept local currency or dollars and whether he relies on Bitcoin? Maybe it is just an additional option to also draw some attention to his little business?

Btw I found a foto of Craig Wright's renovated bathroom after he launched BSV...

223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 23, 2023, 08:10:15 AM
Storing all assets in Bitcoin is a good decision (to be faster in a heart attack and higher stress) lol.
With a fluctuating market, it is certainly not a good option for financial health.
This is the worst financial strategy to store all your assets in bitcoin because when their is a drastic dump in price,it will look like your doom day has arrived. A very bad way of financial management.
Part of the rationale to diversify at least a little bit in terms of NOT holding all your wealth in one asset class.. especially one as volatile as bitcoin, even though surely there are some people who engage in such a practice.. which does not seem to be good financial management or even advisable absent some pretty special circumstances. such as perhaps if they were to have a pretty guaranteed cashflow that allows them to NOT have to be reliant upon the value of their investment in any kind of way... but even then, for sure, there does seem to be some value in any ability that any of us might retain to be able to continue to buy on the dip or to DCA during dipping times, rather than completely losing confidence because our investment might have had gone down greatly.. such as greater than 70% and stayed at such depressed levels for extended periods of time.. including potential uncertainties regarding if such asset might continue to drop in value further and for much longer periods, too.
Those who store all their asset in bitcoin will end up not being able to hold all their bitcoin for a very long time, they will only be able to hold little fraction of 20% after a long time, due to the fact that we will be faced with an unforeseen financial challenges and before you know it since this is there only assets they will have no any other option but to use from their portfolio to tackle the problem.

Sure.. but there is still a balance even if choosing when to start diversifying if at all.  Of course, a very early investor might spend a lot of time in which s/he has no other investment except for bitcoin, so it does not make a lot of sense to diversify for the mere sake of diversifying - even though I do seem to understand and agree with your point that at minimum, there may well be a need for some cash reserves in order to be able to take advantage of likely ongoing and potentially severe BTC price fluctuations and surely one of the ONLY thing that might get closed to being guaranteed in bitcoin is that it is going to be volatile.. even if we might not know exactly in what direction such volatility might end up happening.

As you say the only guarantee we have is that Bitcoin will be volatile. But what can we conclude from that? The only ones who don't have to care as much about where Bitcoin is going are the exchanges as they make their money on volume. Wouldn't it be a reasonable approach hen as part of a diversification strategy to also own shares in the infrastructure in addition to Bitcoin itself?

I know that centralized exchanges are not the optimal investments as some of them are prone to collapse even when nobody saw it coming, but I am not only referring to centralized exchanges. When there are decentralized solutions that have some integrated DAO function where people can acquire shares by holding a token in the DAO, wouldn't that also have a diversifying effect against Bitcoin's volatility? Whether it goes up or down, the share and the total $ value in volume would count and as a shareholder you would benefit from volatility no matter which way it goes.

What do you think about that?

When Bitcoin goes down and trading volume goes up, an exchange like Binance might be suffering from devaluation of their Bitcoin reserves, but they probably have a diversification strategy and convert enough of their revenue into "stable" currencies like fiat or USDT. I often think that all these exchange owners care more about volatility than about Bitcoin's price going up. Owning a part of the more solid infrastructure has been like owning a gold mine over the last decade (if the exchange was managed well and didn't go bankrupt).

Unless the industry collapses disappears, in my opinion it could be a good hedge to own both Bitcoin and the infrastructure facilitating trade and transactions. I know that the options to own a share in the infrastructure are not as manyfold and sometimes carry their own risk, for example when you buy BNB hoping that the burning will go on forever, ignoring the risk that even Binance could collapse as FTX has proven that nothing is impossible.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITGESELL - Store of value (Burn rate is 90% of tx fees) #realstoreofvalue on: May 22, 2023, 05:24:23 PM
Hi, maybe someone can explain to me how the halving schedule and block reward adds up to the 21 million coins total. At https://bgl.bitaps.com/ it says

Bitgesell circulating supply   18 410 656.97402363BGL
Burnt coins   921 818.88360024BGL

If we add those two numbers, it is about 19.33m coins issued with the block reward. With 25 coins per block we get an additional 3,600 coins per day. That number times 365 is 1.314m.

If you add 19.33m and maybe 1.2m because halving is a month ago, we get about 20.5m coins when the next halving happens. Then we get about another 0.65m per year with a block reward of 12.5 coins. That would already be more than 21m coins max.

Are the numbers at https://bgl.bitaps.com/ correct? If they are correct, how can it work out that the new coins coming into circulation due to the block reward will not exceed 21m in two years from now? The numbers must be wrong?

Ok I solved the issue myself. The circulating supply is correct while the amount of burnt coins is wrong.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: May 22, 2023, 12:32:33 AM
The more crypto-related companies and businesses move into the country, the better. I think El Salvador's economy will be booming within a decade from now. I wouldn't be surprised if established players from the US like Coinbase and Kraken also move there sometime in the future. The US is becoming hostile against crypto/Blockchain tech, leaving crypto exchanges no choice but to move their operations elsewhere.
~snip~

Maybe, maybe not, because every serious company is looking for long-term stability, above all the political stability that a country like El Salvador can hardly provide. What apparently few pay attention to is the possibility that Bukele and his ruling party may not be re-elected in the next elections, although some will say that they currently have no opposition to fear.

It seems to me that such large companies would not move their headquarters to such countries, but it is all a matter of lobbying and politics, which means that everything depends on what conditions El Salvador would offer them.

I found the first part of your answer very important. Because what is any offer worth if you don't know whether all parties can live up to it in the long-term? Before the big players move to a country like El Salvador with their headquarters, a whole lot of lobbying and political influence will have to happen first. Up to a degree that these companies know they are in a safe and stable place for the decades to come. I doubt that this is possible right now in El Salvador because political whims still have too much influence on the daily business.

It would be different when the vast majority of the El Salvadorian population had fully adopted Bitcoin into their everyday lives and factually benefit from it. Then even if elections are around the corner and Bukele does not get re-elected, a newly elected president can't simply throw the Bitcoin economy over. For now it is Bukele who paves the way for Bitcoin to take its roots within the El Salvadorian society and economy, and in a second step I think bigger and bigger businesses will decide to take the risk and go to El Salvador, not the other way around.

Unless, as you mentioned lobbying, big businesses are the ones who essentially dictate the political direction through the power of money, whatever that could mean. Promising large scale investments or even corruption could be part of it.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs physical gold price potential on: April 17, 2023, 11:10:13 PM
People often talk about the price potential of BTC or gold, in terms of US dollars or euro. In my opinion this does not make sense because the value of euros and dollars can be destroyed by central banks printing them to infinity.
It's because that's been the standard of conversion for gold and bitcoin. The value of these currencies might go lower but I doubt it that they will entirely go to zero and utterly be destroyed. There can be changes in terms of monetary system but these two that you've mentioned can't just be gone too quickly just as we say.

Even with current news about BRICS that's trying to de-dollarized with their economies. It's gonna to be a work in progress and won't be just applied too quickly so as usd/btc, usd/gold, eu/btc, and eu/gold.

Also with their ability to print unlimitedly, they can still do such controls with it through interest rates and just like what US did recently and still doing some of its control based on how they want to value its fiat.

Yes and the major currencies are the ones that people have an idea about in regards to purchasing power. In order for a new unit of account to establish itself, it takes a lot of time. I addition to that Bitcoin is a brand new technology, which means that people who are not familiar with it also will have issues trusting it as the new unit of account. Apart from the fact that many won't be able / like using it. It's more likely that Bitcoin will find its way into the global society with the younger generations from today. Using a phone, using wallets and so on, that is something many of the older people don't do unless it is something like Applepay where they have an idea what that is about and who is behind it. I am not saying it is better, I am only saying that a lot of people have less issues trusting it.

Whether the USD suffers from inflation or not, too many people still find it easier to judge a good in pennies or USD than in satoshis. It's also not even easy for those familiar with Bitcoin as nobody can tell for sure where its price is going, but that also has an impact because people would spend less if they know their satoshis will increase in purchasing power over time. While uncertainty is usually not a good thing, the certainly that the dollar will further be inflated gives people something to calculate with.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin cover total liquidity on: April 10, 2023, 03:04:24 PM
According to my knowledge from a research article of which I got from a reliable source I understood that the amount of Bitcoin which is in circulation is far less than the total money available in circulation.also the Bitcoin ecosystem is not large enough to cover liquidity properly Since mining is not promisingly efficient how will enough Bitcoin get into circulation? Such that everyone has enough Bitcoins to cover their net worth

I am not sure whether I understand your post, but are you asking whether it is a problem that there is less Bitcoin in USD value than there is USD in total? The second part of your comment probably refers to maximum transaction throughput compared to global daily transaction demand (or for now USD transaction demand)?

You have actually detected a major problem of today's economy. Wink There will always be more FIAT USD than there is real value justifying the amount of all the USD money printed. The result is inflation. Real value desperately appreciates, but not in value, only in numbers, following the pace of the money printing machines as much as possible. At some point the market realizes that no matter how much money is printed, an asset relative to other assets doesn't increase in real value because of that.

The question is not whether Bitcoin can cover all USD notes out there as of yet. The question is whether people want to switch from a money that can infinitely be manipulated and boated up to a money that can't be. If I pay you 100k USD for your apartment and bread costs 10 USD, you are in no different situation than when I pay you 200k USD for your apartment and bread costs 20 USD. With FIAT money you can play that game infinitely, and infinitely dangerously because it is prone to collapse and not all asset prices adjust according to some money printing logic, evening out dangerous economic effects.

That is why Bitcoin is interesting, it is a system outside the existing system. This means that if Bitcoin is globally appreciated by all people, no national currency could be printed to easily buy Bitcoin up because it would have its own value that could appreciate beyond M0, M1, M2 and M3 of a national currency.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 09, 2023, 11:43:48 PM
The Financial Times published an article where it said that El Salvador has good economic indicators, it is successfully paying off obligations on bonds, but still the newspaper is trying to put it in a negative light because of bitcoins. This is despite the fact that they themselves note that the negative forecasts that predicted El Salvador's decline and default have not come true, and its credit ratings have grown. It seems that they will persist in their bitcoin hate to the last, no matter how well El Salvador develops.
In this case, when he does decide to adopt bitcoin, of course there will be a lot of eyes highlighting the steps taken by Bukele. as @Cryptmuster said as long as the majority of the population supports this I think they already know the consequences when they will always be hated, especially for countries that really don't want El Salvador's policies.
But the important point is as long as they are comfortable and some profit they have got from the adoption of bitcoin that they do I feel they are enough for it regardless of being hated or not it won't matter to them because most importantly with the risky decision they took in the beginning now has produced good results for them.

But times have changed. In February, Moody’s changed its outlook from negative to stable, citing a “decreased risk of a credit event in the near term” and “manageable” repayments on the 2025 bond. Its 2025 and 2027 debts are now trading at 78.39 and 55.92 cents on the dollar.
This statement alone proves that things are slowly getting better for them.

I agree with everything you said here, but I have been following this thread for a long time and I feel that the discussion all too often deviates from the original subject, which is Bitcoin as legal tender in a sovereign state. I have often read explicitly or between the lines that this thread discusses more about El Salvador being an investor in Bitcoin than an economy being operated with Bitcoin as one legal tender.

I think that most of those who post here are not really interested in the deep implications that the term legal tender is holding. But that would actually be the much more interesting discussion. What does it mean if Bitcoin becomes legal tender? It is not only the obvious answer like "you can pay your debt with it" or "settle your tax with it" or "merchants have to accept it as a form of payment". All these obvious answers entail a plethora of implications from the perspective of both the national and international political and social economy.

But in order for people discuss deep implications, they would have to put a lot of effort into educating themselves first with lots of terms in their isolated form and the interdependencies between them.

Again, legal tender is a topic that gets me excited, but this topic has come off track before it really even got started. Or perhaps I am nit-picking and I take OP's headline too seriously.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My arguement with a friend who likes POS instead of POW. on: March 07, 2023, 11:49:36 PM

Maybe include something like ETH does have a CEO while BTC has none. Having a CEO means centralization can be compromised.

I hope though you will still continue to be friends lol If this kind of conversation happened probably in the 90s generation, I think it's already a fight. You don't have to prove something to him, you only need to show the rank and the price comparison so I hope it won't end up in physical contact.  Grin

Ethereum also doesn't have a CEO in the sense that there are people under him who have to follow him. That is not the case. Buterin may appear as the smartest brain and that is why the majority follows him. But he has arguments with lots of developers as well. Everything is open source and the things can be openly discussed and criticized. The typical CEO role that you are referring to is also non-existent in Ethereum in my opinion.

If Satoshi showed up tomorrow, verifying he still has the wallets' keys and proposes a change to the protocol, I wonder how much resistance there would be against proposed changes (depends on the change of course, but let's assume it's controversial).

Saturday's transfer gossip:
Chelsea's owners do not see 29-year-old Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, currently on loan at Inter Milan, as part of their ongoing project, despite the club's lack of success in front of goal. Is this a good decision for Chelsea? Does this mean that Lukaku is returning to Italy again?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/64842620

Lukaku is not having a successful season in Italy. After the Premier League, he has the same problems in Serie A. He actually suffered an injury. That's why his performance is worse. But he is having bad seasons in a row in Europe's elite leagues. Now he will have to make a decision. He will either give up his salary and continue playing for big teams, or he will go to the clubs outside Europe that gave him this money. I think neither Chelsea nor Inter will want to sign him again. Lukaku is very close to pursuing his career outside of Europe.
Romelu Lukaku had a bad season, I agree with you that maybe if he doesn't play well it will make Chelsea and Inter Milan not want him anymore. Chelsea loaned Lukaku to another team in the hope that he would find his best game again, but the opposite happened, he still hasn't been able to give his best performance this season. So I wouldn't be surprised to see him join a smaller team eventually.

Lukaku is having a hard time right now. When you change clubs and it doesn't work out, that's bad already. But when you return to the club where everything used to be perfect and you find yourself sitting on the bench again because you can't deliver, that is even worse. Not only for the moment, but also for future negotiations with other clubs. I doubt that he is able to work his way out at Inter. But will he find another great club that is now willing to sign him? It's precarious for him and Summer will show what's possible for the last years of his career.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: March 04, 2023, 05:36:40 PM
I'm not going to argue with that one because as always, whether we like it or not, people will always find a way to criticize you even if your motive was not to brag as I believe that OP's only intention was just to share what he had experienced recently. We couldn't blame him for that as the OP was just happy.
That's so true.

Even if somebody really wants to share it without bad intention, there will be critics that would tell about what they think of it as a critic and not to encourage others.

That's okay and sometimes I'm also like that person even if there's the good intention of just sharing of what has happened even if it's just a good experience.

Wouldn't that only apply if he showed his face sitting on a lambo? I mean the thing that he could want to be bragging about it. This way who cares, it is interesting to see the bet he published here to have worked out for him. I still can't believe it though because if you do the maths, like multiply the 19-1 probabilities with each other, it is insane that it worked out for him. The way he talks it comes across as if it wasn't that big of a deal. But the calculation for an appropriate average probability of X (X=win) to the power of 18 (-1 because one was voided) shows that it is not going to work out very often Wink

Even if you say that his average winning probability for the 18 legs was 65:35, the probability to win that combination bet is 0.65^18 = 0.00042898333. This means such a bet would have to be played. Now you might say that the average probability was higher, but the bet on Kansas City with odds of 3.64, the bet on the dodgers with 2.39 and the bet on Seattle Storm with 2.12 drastically lower the average probability of X. Those three bets alone in a combination would be a high risk bet already.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: March 03, 2023, 02:21:48 AM

Only bet on sports, anything else like casinos and slots is almost impossible to win big amounts on.

I categorically disagree with you. No matter how well you know about sports betting, how likely is it that such a multi-bet will give you a win?
The probability of winning is very low, no matter how well prepared you are.

But I'm still happy for you and your big win! Grin

Oh yes the probability is extremely low. I like how OP says that in "casinos and slots is almost impossible to win big amounts on", implying that in sports betting it is the opposite, like reasonably possible. Cheesy

https://imgur.com/a/wEkVnkk

The picture on that link alone gives you odds of 53.04 in just 5 legs out of your 19. To just win that one, you have to be incredibly lucky. Winning 13 more legs and 1 that gets cancelled (essentially in your favor) is no less lucky than winning half a million on a slot machine.

I can't tell whether these stories are true, but I'd rather put 20 bucks into a slot machine than put 300 bucks on a 19 leg multibet. Tongue

I understand If Chelsea's authority thinks that the results will get better in the future. Because sometimes the coaches do take time to bring in good results. But I highly doubt that this coach will actually be able to bring in good results. Because he already has good players on the team. So of course he should be bringing in good results. I am certain that the fans are already quite frustrated. My personal opinion is that if they are sure about something, they should probably give him chance till the end of this season. But if the results are still not coming, he should be sacked.

It's pure gambling at all. Chelsea's authority was thinking about the result possible getting better but there was also a possibility that the club can do the worst. That being said that if chelsea's management was pure gambling with its team. I meant if chelsea is not yet interesting to sack potter and it will become a time bomb that can explode anytime. Liverpool has been showing a good performance while chelsea is still struggling to leave from the above top 10 position.

I see that if chelsea may also go out from UCL once dortmund will able to defeat chelsea. I think that potter shall try use different midfielder. Some players of chelsea like mount and kovacic already targeted by MU and manchester city.

Potter has tried a whole lot this season and sometimes I think that might have been more of a problem than a solution if you exchange players every week and try out a new formation. How should automatic combinations between the team start to happen when in fact they rarely play with each other in the same formation?

Keeping a core of the team that you build your squad around is the best approach in my opinion. If changes need to be made because of a loss in performance, then that is what it is, but just exchanging players because you want to show the world that you are a strategic genius can go too far as well.

A possible comeback in Formula 1.
Vettel can race at the start of the season with Aston Martin.

Stroll has his hand broken and it is not sure he will race, it is improbable.

In his place, it will race their 3rd driver or Vettel.

Vettel never seemed like the kind of guy who will take his word back and join the Formula 1 again. He is a racer at heart, but when I saw his goodbye message I thought that this is surely final. Alonso can't get enough and people thought he might stop driving years ago. Perhaps he is still driving when he is 45.

As long as Alonso feels confident and has reflexes he can race.We all saw in the last season that he did some pretty nice races despite him racing in a middle to low performance team like Alpine and in certain tracks where driving skills prevail he surely put himself in the spotlight and the fact that he manages to easy beat and overtake young drivers says a lot about his personality.

I never liked him in the Ferrari or Renault era but I changed my mind when he joined McLaren and made those funny statements like "GP 2 engine,GP2 engine" as I thought this guy must be crazy talking against his team like that but in the end he was right, since then I have only respect for him as a driver.

I have a neutral position on that after all. It his choice and the choice of a professional Formula 1 team to actually sign him as a main driver. I can understand when a sportsman can't let go and perhaps they even shouldn't if that is what their heart feels like. But I also think from the perspective of health and safety it is a difference when Roger Federer keeps playing tennis for very long compared to someone risking his life in a racing car for another year, and another year. Especially when you have a family I guess there is a special motivation and incentive to perhaps not overstep the mark.

I have seen a lot of not very good news from Barcelona, the problem that Barcelona have not seen good results, the results that they have obtained from the Europa League have been disastrous, the blame that is being placed on them for supposedly buying arbitrations, so when When it comes to this kind of thing, a team like Barcelona can see that the quality of their fútbol has deteriorated.

But I have not commented much because sometimes a lot of false news originates and saying that about something that you do not know if it is real does not seem right to me, I do not know if they chose to sell players to solve economic problems, the last thing they see here is good fútbol which they sometimes do.

Unlike you, I didn't hear any good news from Barcelona regarding their management system they are unable to pay salaries as they did before and they had to decrease the salaries for many players which can't be good for this famous team, in the other hand unlike their competitor Real Madrid they are unable to pay for superstar players, however, the situation may change in the future.

I think a decrease in salaries would not only be good for Barcelona, but for soccer in general. These players detach themselves from their fanbases. I know that some will now say as long as the industry produces that revenue, the players have all the right to earn those amounts. But in times of crisis all over the world the subscriptions for the important leagues go through the roof. Years ago the prices were ok, but now they to raise it on a regular basis and you are basically forced to either pay or you can't watch soccer at all. It happens in all areas. Haaland is probably going to sign a new sponsoring contract with Nike for 23 million per year. In turn these companies raise their prices as well.

Victor osimhe,at the moment is one of the hotest striker in Europe,no surprising that he has been in the news lately on transfer rumour.Napoli chief have also voiced he could leave with good money on the table, thou I think it is still too early for him to move to England, not to forget that one of osimhe secrete this season has been his partnership with kvaratskhelia, who is the creator in that team, wonder if he could achieve great feat else were with limited supply.

He is on the radar of many clubs. His performance against Frankfurt also showed how explosive he is and how he is able to find the perfect gap at full speed. Even the goal that was denied actually was deserved in the way they played it. Osimhen was one step too fast, unsurprisingly! Cheesy
He is robust, very fast and precise when he finishes. He doesn't give up on balls that seem to be lost. I do like the guy a lot.
He has a wonderful pace, sprint very well as well, but from his style of play and positioning I think he needs good delivery, and good midfielders who go see those run he makes little behind the defenders,I can't see him perform well at Chelsea, because they play side ways,Manchester United, Tottenham or Liverpool would be perfect

That is right but I believe he still has room to improve his individual game, like his 1 on 1. Now he perfectly understands which position to seek with full speed when he expects an assist. But we can also see that his speed is so high that he can easily win 1 on 1 situations, and that makes an offensive player very valuable. He has everything to be at the very top within the next few years. It's a joy to see a player develop like that.

He is robust, very fast and precise when he finishes. He doesn't give up on balls that seem to be lost. I do like the guy a lot.

I have heard of some experiment with a supercomputer about which driver on the grid would be the champion this season.

According to the calculations of this supercomputer, Verstappen will win his third championship in a row. Besides it calculated the 2nd and 3rd in the standings as Hamilton and Leclerc respectively. It doesn't seem unrealistic to me honestly. Because we still can't be sure of what Ferrari can really do this season yet. They claim that they have the strongest car now but the most important thing is to have a season without problems. Otherwise it doesn't matter how fast your car is. Apart from that, Verstappen is still the clear favourite. Hamilton can also have a great season depending on how much Mercedes have developed their car.

If Verstappen is the favorite and Leclerc comes third, then that simulation honestly didn't factor in Ferrari's car. That thing is still a beast, and with Charles Leclerc on the driver's seat, it's not impossible for him to take the championship. While everyone is still cheering for Verstappen to take that 3rd championship on his, they should not sleep on Hamilton and Mercedes. These guys are doing a very great job on tests and are giving us short responses on what went well on these tests, which means that their car is slowly getting better but doesn't want to spoil the fun yet.

Hamilton will be eager to try to take the overall record in number of championships, but I think his time is over. I know that this guy is a beast mentally, but so is Verstappen. When I watched Hamilton giving interviews in the recent past, I felt as if something has changed. He wasn't on fire as much as he used to be. If I had to make my pick I think it comes down to the first couple of races whether Hamilton is a candidate or not. If he isn't relatively successful in the first three to four races, that could already mean the end. There have been seasons where he had great comebacks, but if he can do that again? Verstappen is also extremely aggressive and is risking accidents a few percentage points more than Hamilton. If Hamilton's car isn't dominant enough, he will be constantly exposed to those attacks.

Ronaldinho's son, Joao Mendes (17 yo) is set to sign with Barcelona's youth team. There are no game statistics from the previous club Cruzeiro. Not much information about him, I tried to find his appearance on Youtube, and found this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK2Bm9a5QBQ

Is it possible that Joao Mendes will be able to compete with other Barcelona players as a starting XI, or will he be loaned out more often than played with Barcelona? What do you think?

This is hard to say but it is fun to observe how the kids of some GOAT players are actually doing. Just in terms of the sport, it must be hard to be the son of Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and the like. Usually you can't win, but only lose. Life still isn't bad of course as you are rich like hell and do even get the chance to show your talent to reputable soccer clubs whereas unknown kids don't even get the chance.

A bit off-topic, but in Formula 1 the son of Michael Schumacher tried his luck and even though he was convincing in Formula 2 and 3 I believe, he still couldn't make it (yet).

Does anyone have a good example from the top of their head where the son of an outstanding soccer player had a similar or even more successful career?
