221  Economy / Auctions / Eye-Fi Pro X2 16GB SDHC card on: April 02, 2013, 07:44:40 PM
I've currently got an Eye-Fi "Pro X2" 16GB SDHC card sitting at my reship and I'de like to put it up for auction here. Eye-Fi cards are like regular SD cards except they have built in Wi-fi capability and can automatically upload photos to your computer/tablet/smartphone, this card retails for $99 USD normally so I feel like i'm putting the start price at a decent amount.

You can read more about the card here - http://www.eye.fi/products/prox2

The Starting Bid is BTC0.10 + shipping (see below)

The card is currently at my reship, which is in the US. I would prefer if the shipping cost could be paid via PayPal so that I can get it to my reship quicker, but I can also accept Bitcoin for it. The prices for shipping to various locations of the world is listed below, if you need a specific estimate (down to zip/post code) then drop me a PM and i'll see what I can do.

  • US - USPS Priority (Est. 7 - 10 Business Days) - $13
  • US - FedEx 2 Day (Est. 2 Business Days)- $23
  • US - FedEx Standard Overnight (Est. 1 Business Day) - $40
  • UK - USPS First Class Intl (Est. Up to 90 days) - $22
  • UK - DHL Express Worldwide (Est. 2 - 5 Business days) - $33

If you want insurance on the shipping, it's an extra $3.

0.15, last offer.

Sorry but I have to decline, I've done the deal elsewhere now.

I will give you 0.1BTC for it.

Double it and i'll consider it, but a fee of 57% is far, far too high.
224  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] BTC/MtGox USD for MoneyBookers on: April 02, 2013, 04:57:35 PM
I've got £16.67 GBP ($25.20 USD) in my MoneyBookers account that I can't withdraw back to my debit card, so i'de like to exchange it for BTC (~0.23 BTC)/MtGox USD.

If you're interested, send me a PM or post here with your rate and details of previous conversions that you've done.
225  Bitcoin / Pools / A few questions regarding setting up a pool on: February 24, 2013, 04:47:26 PM
I'm attempting to setup a small pool for me and a few friends and I have a few questions regarding the process.

At the moment, i'm running Bitcoin-qt (with the flags -server and -daemon) on a small VPS hosted by Amazon Web Services that can be upscaled or downscaled when I need it to be - what kind of specs am I going to need when people are mining on the pool?

What is going to use more resources, bitcoin-qt or pushpool? (They are running on different servers at the moment)

I attempted to connect to Bitcoin-qt from my PC with the RPC Username and Password - but i'm getting the error "No JSON object could be decoded" from GUIMiner and "Error: Cannot connect to server" from Phoenix. When I run "getwork" on bitcoin-qt RPC Console, it gets the work just fine so I don't understand why the work isn't getting from Bitcoin-Qt to my machine. Windows Firewall is off, the RPC username and password are both correct and both port 8332 and 8333 are open on Amazon's firewall - what could be the problem?

If anybody could answer these questions for me, or direct me to the correct section to put them in, I would be most greatful.

Regards,
Dorkslayz.

I'm having some issues with Visual Studio 2010/2008 and C++ Express and compiling, are you able to elaborate on the "hacks" you mentioned to change min os version?

I followed the MSDN Link in that article and set the platform toolset to v100 however getting errors.

When compiling on x64 or Win32 in Release mode (With v100 platform toolset), I get these errors.

When compiling on Win32/Release (With v110/v100 toolset), I get these errors. (However, when I turn /SAFESEH off, it compiles fine - I just wanted to know if it was a bad idea to turn it off)

Error   5   error LNK1281: Unable to generate SAFESEH image.   C:\Users\User\ufasoft\ufasoft_coin-0.34\Release\bitcoin-miner.exe   1   1   bitcoin-miner

This error is fixed now, I copied and pasted the contents of el/comp/x86x64.inc into the top of bignum-x86x64.asm and removed the include, dismissing the errors.

However, I get a new error now.

and upon checking, stdint.h does not exist anywhere in the source code, should I just remove this instruction?

It compiles and works fine on Win7/AMD64 but when trying to run the miner compiled in both x64 and Win32 on Windows XP 32 Bit (in a vm) I get an error stating that it is not a valid win32 application.
It is known problem.  VS2012 linker sets EXE's "min OS version" to 6.0.  WinXP requires 5.0.
There are hacks exist how to  modify EXE binary to 5.0. But more reliable method is to use VS2010, and add /version:5.0 linker option.

Ok, i'll try that.

When building in Release configuration, with x86 as the Active solution platform and the platform of bitcoin-miner and coineng set to Win32, I get errors relating to "Module unsafe for SAFESEH image"

Edit:

Is there any way to monitor the output from the hidden CMD window and for example, if the user doesn't have a GPU installed then the miner defaults back to CPU?

Fixed previous errors and it compiles fine now, any suggestions on how to reduce the file size a bit though?

Are there any options to run it silently (completely invisible) or do we have to edit something before compiling?

Following .vbs script:

Code:
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
cmd = "coin-miner.exe"
Return = WshShell.Run(cmd, 0, True)
set WshShell = Nothing

I'm using Visual Studio 11 Beta to try and compile, but I get this error.

Quote
Error   2   error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'prj_config.h': No such file or directory   C:\Users\User\ufasoft\ufasoft_coin-0.34\el\inc\inc_configs.h   12   1   bitcoin-miner

Can you specify what version of visual studio I should be using to compile it?

The price is for 1 year and it's the same for all years after but I don't know if this service will still be running after a year (depends on sales)

Of course you haven't done any chargebacks! All transactions (okay, except maybe 1-2) are under $30! You're probably just waiting for the big fish to use your disputes on.

And besides, probably <2% of those are bitcoin related, which is the only thing that matters. We don't care if you disputed your ebay purchase/sale or not. Bitcoins have no tracking number. No proof of delivery.

And if you try and say all of those transactions are bitcoin related...then that right there is a good reason to stay away! Proof you've already gotten away with hundreds of transactions proves you've been in biz longer than you should, and your luck is about to run out!

Sorry but I beg to differ, there are multiple transactions there over $30, The transactions are in small amounts because I buy things relatively cheap often.

I also beg to differ on the proof of delivery front too, there are transaction logs proving where bitcoins have been sent/received, I also fail to see how I'm "getting away" with transactions as they are all legitimate, around 30% are gifts and the others are for goods/services. I fail to believe its just "luck" that is keeping my account in good standing because it's automatic fraud detection that does all the work, and that's very low on UK Accounts.

And you are locked into that forever?

I was thinking of using affraid.org but may need to upgrade in the future. Does anyone know of a DNS serive that takes bitcoins?

You could use CloudFlare, it's free and doesn't have many restrictions.
