Since moli brought this to my attention...

"Number of Logic Elements/Cells: 6272" - I have an FPGA with 110,000 LEs from Altera (SoCKit, 5CSXFC6D6F31C6N) and THAT wouldn't fit all of X11. If you're telling me they're selling X11 USB miners using those chips - and you're buying one - please, give me your money instead - you obviously have more money than sense.

Thanks for the heads up, it turned out to be a failed project anyway, I just identified the fpga they had in the picture. There is nothing readily available to everyone beyond GPU mining rigs it seems.
Reminder for people who missed OrphanedGland's screen shot of a FPGA,

'I have personally designed an X11 ASIC - well the RTL only, which can be used for either FPGA or ASIC implementation.  It includes a mechanism to account for variations in performance between each hash type.  Unfortunately the economics are just not there yet to get this turned into a layout.'

Any hashrate statistics been recorded on this? I currently use 3 7970 and 3 7950, 2 270x, 2 290x for mining, would like to see what those get on this.
Zipper mouth, I suggest you start with the R9 290X, and work from there and see how things pan out  Grin  Grin  Grin

I had a feeling this would not pan-out to be what it claimed - better to get out now for them instead of ... Class Action/Fine/Prison - later on....

Yep, I had my doubts, but it was small money to see for myself.
Well at least I can change my gpu rig to X11 this winter push out a bit more heat until (if) a true asic comes around.

I was just thinking the same thing - about time to fire up the miners - - brrrrrrr - lol
Sad news about the FPGA, so I have very good present to cheer you guys up, check out the new optimized sgminer, you will not be disappointed  Wink

So these could potentially be reprogrammable by the customer then if they are not locked in some way?
Am thinking they could be modified on the fly as it where, so if X11 ever became X12, or some other algo like X13 was worth hashing,
instead of being stuck with a load of useless rigid asics, these can be modifed if neccessary, upgraded and used again?
I don't think the finished USB miner would be re-programmable by the user, it is also only 39 USD if we ever switch to something else then we could mine another coin or make a keychain...  although you could ask them just to confirm...
There are some useful algo's in the X11, just thinking if they could be separated by software, the FPGA can do sha3,groestl and blake for added mining diversity.

Yeah I am pretty sure is exactly this FPGA
http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?mpart=EP4CE6F17C7N&v=544
Which is pretty cool because the price now makes sense, and it also means you dont have to worry about them producing the first "batch" as you can get the chips from digikey right now.   Only they have the code though, but I dont think you have to worry too much about prodcution which is great.
I think I am not explaining myself very well,  FPGAs are programmable chips at a very low level, you would normally use VHDL to program them and you also need additional hardware to complete the USB miner. We don't know of any other X11 FPGA implementation besides this one.  The important thing is it is not really an ASIC which would be a single purpose chip that would only be manufactured for X11 mining that makes no sense at all and would probably be really expensive. That is why ASICs projects can so easily fail. In this case they can buy the FPGAs for cheap and program them to do X11 mining, this is quite challenging and they get all the credit for bringing it to market.
So these could potentially be reprogrammable by the customer then if they are not locked in some way?

Hello fellow Dash'ers!
My coffee shop accepts DASH.
I'm accepting Bitcoin and DASH and I do not use any payment processors or any other 3rd party. You come and drink some delicious coffee and pay with your mobile phone wallet to my mobile phone wallet directly.
Yes, I'm holding dash.
If there are any of you from Istanbul/Turkey, you can come and drink coffee.

Nice one for the cafe, I like the look of your coffee machine, and the 2 most important cryptocurrencies being accepted is also favourable Grin
(I spent a couple days in Istanbul one time when I missed a connecting flight, the people were friendly, food good, colourful markets and big diverse culture, an interesting Capital city straddling the nexus of the East and West, would be cool to go back there again some day and investigate further)

V0.12.0.55 Is Out!
- Huge Chinese/Japanese Update
- gettransaction now works with IX
- fix LP inter-mixing by not initiating new queues by them (Udjin)
- Support for trustless proposal voting (DashWhale)
- SK translation
- DS - try to use inputs with the same number of rounds (Udjin)
- GetRemainingPaymentCount was off by one
https://www.dashpay.io/downloads/
Hey, has the intermittant crashing of the dashd daemon been fixed ?
I think Evan said V13 was going to resolve that. Have you had better stability?

Nope, after ~3 days, the windows remote machine dashd always exits, I remember you guys had a linux code loop to keep restarting on fail.
So, what I am thinking is either a .bat loop command or perhaps using windows scheduler to keep restarting every 1 minute.

If their specs are correct, overclocked to 400MHz (and cooled very well!) will produce 9M hash, or about .16 dash per day at current difficulty.

ROI in about 110 days if diff stays in the same ranges (doubtful. will probably be double or triple that depending on how many come online.)
(each stick represents about 0.01385% of the current total network hash)

I'd grab a couple for $39...... lol take my money please!  Where to order?

https://squareup.com/market/pinidea

YOUR ORDER #XXXX WILL BE READY BY OCT 03

Can't wait to see what this will do....
This could be really good for the network specially for that price, is really accessible for anyone.  Lets see what happens.
Its interesting on a number of fronts, this would mean someone believes in Dash enough to throw quite a lot of investment money and time into it, as Dash is the number one X11 coin (only other high volume mining option is startcoin?)

You know what they say about something when it seems to good to be true!
Looking forward to the feedback on this, TIA.

Awesome to hear, thanks. Everyone has gotten used to wisdom but they stopped improving long ago it seems.
Glad to see we can move on from bitcoinwisdom, I don't like to see their code keep falling apart with no apparent maintenance.

The main thing lacking in Dash for me is that sites like TradingView and BitcoinWisdom don't have a Dash feed. Where do you do Technical Analysis of Dash? Do i have to print screen a chart and draw trend lines with an arts package ?

We just added Poloniex's DASH/BTC market to our real-time charting service: https://cryptowat.ch/poloniex/dashbtc

We will add more DASH markets if there's demand.

Wonderful chart, this is the first time I've seen something that displays better than bitcoinwisdom,.

argghhh!!! Don't know why it dosn't like that. It allows me to execute all the other 'masternode' command options though.

check the dash.conf on the local machine?

So dashd stops......
I start it back up and I lose 3+ days of service.
How will I ever get paid if this continues??

I am also getting a crash exit after ~3 days of the dashd with windows as a remote machine, this has never happened before V12, am wondering is there a restart script for windows? I only see linux.
Thanks.
