Why would someone with the power to detect idiots give that up? The BFL Hoax has become so large now that they have had to hire a Chief Operating Officer. I predict that by the end of the year they will be delivering products just to keep up the charade.[/b]
Hoax? You do realize that many people have already received product for some time now, right? BFL must be a hoax. The two mini-rigs that I've been operating for the last month must be vaporware... I bet the times I spoke to Sonny on the phone, it was actually just a well-designed bot with a human-like voice. How they programmed in so many life-like responses is beyond me. BFL is such a well-designed hoax that I won't even realize it until after I've made back my investment and a considerable profit. What a fool I've been... @sgravina: Since you probably missed it, this was a sarcastic post. However, if your post was itself sarcastic, I apologize.

What are you guys doing with your NMC that you get? I don't even have a wallet
I don't have a wallet either. I created an account at Vircurex (shameless referral included) ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) and generated a deposit address there. I send my NMC to that deposit address and trade them for BTC. gracias. Does that address stay the same when you generate it on vircuex or do you have to worry about changing nmc address in bitminter before every withdrawl? My NMC address on Vircurex has been the same since I generated it on Feb. 5th, 2012.

Doc, when a member sends you a one-time donation in addition to the 1% or whatever, are you able to tell which user sent it?

It seems like this rig is way too much for bankwire or BTC?
I paid $30k for my Rig Box (ultimately, 2 mini-rigs) up front with a bankwire transfer. I then received my mini-rigs about 4 months later. The wait was agonizing, but well worth it.

Question for Inaba: Are you guys really shipping 1.5 rigs per day?
I don't believe Inaba works for BFL. He just lives/works in their vicinity. you are out, man, lol see this :https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=97269.0 New Chief Operating Officer of ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) BFL Ah...Totally missed that thread. Actually, I'm generally late at spotting most new BFL threads.

FedEx? Did you request that specifically? I got mine via freight on a pallet.
I did not, and also thought that was a bit weird, since Giga's pictures also show a non-fedex shipment. There must be some logistics thing involved with their decision. I guess it might have to do with whether the freight companies they deal with operate in your city. The one they used to ship mine had a facility about 3 miles from where I live.

Hey all, posting to notify that I have received a tracking number for my 2 from BFL. The tracking number says they'll be here on the 31st, but while FedEx has never been wrong (for me anyway; I order a loooot of things online), I'll post again when I have them in my hands.

What? Just go to the local hardware store and buy some for about 10 cents. Sheesh, anything to make a buck ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) At least it's good info. I figure if anybody gave him a BTC for the washers, it'd be more like a tip for the help than anything.

Yes, I am hosting them locally. There is a thread with the details somewhere. The cost is $300 per month, per rig for hosting. Any shipping you've paid to BFL can be applied to your hosting costs.
Wow, Inaba, that's quite a deal. You can't be making much on each mini-rig after electricity and air conditioning costs. Now I kind of wish I'd asked you to host mine! Oh well...At least I get to physically see and touch them.

Thanks. Not too impressed with the velcro and hot glue solutions, and wire-out-the-hole-in-the-back. The chassis though, looks like a sturdy well built box. I hope BFL will put some resources into getting the cabling and build quality for the ASIC units, and not all on the chips. The PCB and cooling in my single is great. Too me it looks like the build quality of the single is better than the minirig. That looks like a nightmare inside. Not what you'd expect from a $15,000 piece of hardware. Yeeesh. Personally, I was totally satisfied with what I found inside. Nothing breaks when I move them around and they're practically maintenance free. This one chassis is far superior to anything I'd have come up with to fit 50 GH/s worth of Singles into a small space. Just gotta get the one faulty USB-to-Serial adapter replaced this weekend and I'll be back to 100%. I paid the money for hashing power, which works awesome...No regrets. I LOVE my mini-rigs!

Sorry for the delay on pics and video. My wife went into labor the day after I got my mini-rigs and things have been pretty crazy (eg. no sleep) since then. We've been blessed with a beautiful baby daughter, though! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Quick answers to questions I've seen floating around: - The Mini-Rig is about as loud as your average Dell rack-mounted server, such as a PowerEdge 2970. In a data center with 3 PowerEdge servers, I was unable to tell when I ran a single Mini-Rig.
- According to my Kill-a-Watt, one Mini-Rig uses about 1140 watts when mining on a 120v circuit.
- I get about 50.8 GH/s out of my two Mini-Rigs combined, but I've read on the forums that some people get 52GH/s out of two of them.
Video (sorry, some of it's out of focus): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66KHMmbnQ_YPics: http://imgur.com/a/UanjrOne of the USB-to-Serial adapters seems to have failed, causing an FPGA to go offline, so I'll probably be getting back into one of the mini-rigs this weekend, just in case there are any additional video/picture requests. Edit: The "USB-to-Serial adapter" is actually built into the card...Not sure how I missed that. If I can't get it working again, I'll have to send in the failed card for warranty replacement.

Sorry the pool was down so long. I've been on a long trip while this was happening. Just got to my hotel room in Las Vegas now. Looks like someone overloaded the pool and the backend had to be restarted to recover properly.
Will look into why it wasn't able to recover by itself and yes, failover pools are high on the TODO-list for the client. I have quite a bit of time off soon, should be able to implement some new things. Won't have time for that while I'm at Black Hat and Def Con though.
Right now I must sleep. That was one long trip.
Thanks Doc. We appreciate all that you do.
