I will never prefer to receive my salary in bitcoins as price of bitcoin is too volatile and it makes it really risky and we can never have stable income if we get salary in bitcoins.
why not? it would allow you to make some good profit if you took bitcoin as an investment You can make profits only if price goes higher in future and there is no assurance that it will be higher and if price falls suddenly then it will affect your monthly income and that is a big risk. Yep. Bitcoin does seem like it goes up alot, but if you have a sudden need for fiat and something bad has recently happened (An exchange hack, for example), then bitcoin will be of a low value and you will have to wait a while for it to recover.

I earn about one bitcoin every 10 weeks with bitcointalk alone. My day job, i'd rather not make my salary public
|
|
|
Then my investment of 21 btc will have paid off.
But honestly if bitcoin can ever get that high, I wouldn't sell. This would mean that bitcoin really does have the potential go get to the moon.

Count me in. It sounds like a great community project! For all those people who think this is a bad idea - It's not. If you don't want in, don't say anything.

Isn't it obvious? Simple algebra.
Let's say Bob has $100. He puts it onto an exchange that charges 1% tax. So he ends up with $99.
Let's then say Jim also has $100. He puts two deposits of $50 onto an exchange that charges 1% tax. He still ends up with $99.
It's the same.

A block is released every 10 minutes. After each block is released and confirmed, each block before it gets an etra confirmation. It does take 30 minute therefore for 3 blocks to be found and the initial transaction to be confirmed.
Not exactly. A block takes around 10 minutes, a block can be instant, or can take hours to be broadcasted. It was descried as bein like a tower. With the locks stacked on top of each other. Once it gets more blocks, the blocks below it are more stable and less easy to remove as the block above them have to be removed first in order for that one to be removed.
Even the first block is extremely hard to remove. It's even harder when you have to be able to change it before another block comes out. A hard fork, the way you suggest, would mean centralisation and that would be terrible and highly prone to hacking and easy to fail as the current network relies on multiple nodes around the world.
A hard fork does not mean centralization. It means that there is a change which the community as a whole embraces.

As you said, most probably more than 180k people are using it. Maybe 60% of the users are duplicate or alt accounts, so let's bring it down to 90k. But not everyone uses reddit, like me. I'd say about 200k people use bitcoin.

Well after my laptop burned and i didnt had the keys to recover it, i just use the blockchain.info, because its an online wallet and till the moment i got nothing to say about besides they forced all to upgrade the wallet, and we cant sign a message.
Use any of Hierarchical Deterministic wallets, remember or write down your seed and even if your laptop will be destroyed you will always have your bitcoin safe. And it is perfectly fine to sign a message from new blockchain.info's wallet, this feature is just harder to find. HD wallets will sure be the best for newer users. They are more compact and can be packed down into a single seed. The problem is that you will have problems signing messages, importing addresses and more. It's not really recommended for newer users.

This is what any negged person would say.
But I have to say, it is a little broken. Let's say Cryptodevil. I don't have anything against him, but his reputation is controversial. If he negs someone and refused to remove it, people will go to Vod to remove him from DT. But Vod will reason that cryptodevil has Done more good than harm, and un-negging one person is not worth giving hundreds of scammers back their trust.
There are better systems than a cascading one.

Okay, I've found a problem already. When I register my address and my email, it says my confirmation email has been sent, however I don't recieve anything.
I've tried this with Gmail and a private domain.

Been looking for something like this for a long time. I never knew blockchain had this functionality! I guess that having to log in all the time will be a hassle as I don't use them. Will g try yours for my signature campaign payments.

I have three recommendations. If you don't have a high budget buy a Ledger Nano/Ledger HW.1 (HW.1 is exactly the same but may not be of as high build standard as the former) But if you have more funds, buy a Trezor or a Ledger Nano S (I prefer the Trezor as it isn't HD) Or you can wait for the Trezor 2 I think I'll wait for Trezor 2 Exactly my thinking. I'm holding some funds just for the momentous occasion. Maybe the first Trezor will drop in price, as it only costs $19, but you have to add $100 for development and research

No, I don't. I honestly have no need to spend my bitcoin on. What do I need? A PC? Got it. Food? I have a day job to pay for that.

why do not we make a online storage which our software can be linked with i mean like a bootstrap script when we include in our webpage in the same manner we should include this
For one, this would be centralizing the script, where everyone takes information from the same source. This provider could change and edit the information and users will use it. Server issues?

It shouldn't take longer, IIRC. But while you're waiting, use a lighter wallet, as suggested above.
Tbh it's time to move from core to another wallet.

You have a duplicate thread I was just reading. That one also has more posters on it. You should lock this thread by clicking "Lock thread" at the bottom right of the page.

I don't understand. You're trying to propose a bitcoin forum that's better than this? This may be, but honestly people are too tied to this one and besides, epochtalk is about to come out.

People don't hate bitcoin. They're scared of it. I have a couple of friends, scared to touch bitcoin, as they think that something like Gox will happen to them. A little education would stop this. People don't hate bitcoin. They don't think about it, they're apathetic. People generally hate My Little Pony. Those cute bright colored little ponies have got to go. Lol.

How do you know what letter will be in the private key? For example: Just found this great puzzle BTW I need a paracetemol now.
Did you mean paracet amol is one of the answers? Most people use "acetominophen" in US and Canada... How was it "a" in "paracetamol"?
