221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow - fees too high! on: February 18, 2018, 04:10:38 PM
you cannot compare two different network fees with each other , each coin have different speciality Bitcoin is king and Bitcoin cash is branch of Bitcoin itself. Current rate of transfer bitcoins from one wallet to another wallet is less than 11 sat per byte. As per calculation Fees is only 1% per 100$ which is very less seems

Trading is much more safer and easy to learn.
No , it's not easy task to become a successful trader you have to think twice before making any investment

I’ve been preparing myself for months now and wanted to start my journey here in bitcointalk. But like me? New Traders are coming in fast.
Will it be a good sign to our world of cryptocurrency?
Yes its good more and more people will buy and hold bitcoins Our total market cap will be increase

Or will it affect the competition inside?
Some users may be panic and sell of bitcoin when price will drop fastly

232  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Jio coin in India on: February 11, 2018, 06:01:37 AM
This is completely false news that jio is launching its coin and junior ambani akash is heading the project. Fin min Jaitely made it clear that no currency is legit other than fiat currency.
But yes in my opinion it is not impossible that govt may launch its own digital coin
But we are atleast a decade far away from that.

proof of this news published at this website -
http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/reliance-jio-denies-launch-of-jio-coin-app-2496797.html

but on the other hand ambani is planning to launch  coin as per this news article on 12 jan
http://www.businesstoday.in/current/economy-politics/mukesh-ambani-reliance-cryptocurrency-jiocoin-virtual-currencies/story/267914.html

news of jio coin is true but beware of fake users who create app and website similar to jio and steal peoples money

233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Bitcoin mining works? on: February 11, 2018, 05:51:37 AM
Welcome to bitcointalk forum. Before create a new thread you read the old thread its better way.

or you can read here - https://www.coindesk.com/information/how-bitcoin-mining-works/

basically - Every ten minutes or so mining computers collect a few hundred pending bitcoin transactions (a “block”) and turn them into a mathematical puzzle currently there is block reward is 25 Btc . this block size will be half after 842 day approx as per this website http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

till now 16,857,800 Btc already founded out of 21,000,000
current difficulty - 2,874,674,234,416
current total hash rate - 22.30 Exahashes/s

This hash rate comes from your GPU power , from Computer its digital generated bitcoins which can be used worldwide but you need lots of free energy to mine bitcoin and lots of mining hardware.
234  Local / India / Re: Anyone here who accepts bitcoins at his online store? on: February 09, 2018, 05:08:00 PM
I am planning to start an online store.Where I will be selling anime accessories :v
I am confused about whether to accept cryptos or not.I can easily make the payment gateway, I have implemented cryptos at payment gateway for many clients.Unfortunately all of them are from west.
In India, do people really pay via cryptos?
Is there anyone here who owns a small online store and accepts bitcoins? Is it worth the hassle? What do you say?

I want to keep the payment gateway plain and simple. Probably I will accept just fiat.

First of all its a great idea if you accept bitcoins , there are lot of people who want to spent money in crypto not All .
Secondly read the government rules about legalization of bitcoins

Is there anyone here who owns a small online store and accepts bitcoins? Is it worth the hassle? What do you say?
yes i Accept Digital payments for my business but here no one interested paying me in crypto due to high fees issue

236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Gov gives cryptocurrency the green light - markets respond with an $83 billio on: February 07, 2018, 05:06:15 PM
They are probaably preparing for the announcement of the FedCoin. Smiley
Fedcoin - would be decentralized to various Federal Reserve banks

Banks hate Bitcoin , but love bitcoin technology
Reason - Digital transactions are quick, cheap and potentially a lot more secure than the system we have today.

us never do without any reason , There must be valid reason behind this

It's been a truly great day in the cryptocurrency world!

The US Government today met on the topic, with the heads of the SEC coming face to face with Congress. (Link)  We were worried they'd ask for new laws and regulations - but they asked for none.

Beyond that, SEC and members of Congress made some surprising points - they understand the technology's potential, don't want to slow it down, and that at least for now - only crypto scammers need to fear the government.

How did the markets respond? With an $83 billion dollar boost! From a low of $278 billion cap - now leaping up to $363 billion.

Out of hot waters? At least for now, it appears so.

New Zealand Cryptocurrency Exchange Forced into Bank Account Closure

Cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia has announced that its bank is to close its New Zealand dollar-tethered (NZDT) trading accounts.

“Unfortunately, our current bank has notified us that they intend to close our NZDT account on 9 February. Due to this, we are announcing an immediate halt to NZDT deposits from COB today and we are asking all customers to cease sending NZD deposits to our NZDT account,” read an announcement from Cryptopia.

However, the exchange has received an extension from the bank on its NZDT account for withdrawals until the 31 March.

In a recent update, Cryptopia said:

We’re still working on a number of options to resolve deposits and will update with news as it happens.

Cryptopia is an exchange that enables traders to deposit, trade, and withdraw over 400 digital currencies including bitcoin and litecoin, according to its website. By converting New Zealand dollars to cryptocurrency by depositing it into the NZDT account, traders have a way of getting into and out of the market.

As a result of the closure, the exchange is offering a competitive rate to traders holding NZDT to convert to bitcoin. Cryptopia added that while it was searching for ‘secure alternative banking services,’ it was also preparing for the possibility that there may be a period of time between the closure and when they can deliver services again, adding:

Rest assured, Cryptopia is committed to ensuring our users remain the top priority and have access to their funds at all times.

Richard MacManus, a technology columnist and trader at Cryptopia took to social media to say that it wasn’t just Cryptopia that was facing problems with banks in the country.

I’m hearing that at least one other NZ crypto exchange is having trouble with NZ banks. So it’s not just @Cryptopia_NZ. The problem here is the NZ banks, who are preventing kiwis from fully participating in #bitcoin & #blockchain revolution.

This is in stark contrast to Australian banks, which have ruled out banning customers from purchasing digital currencies such as bitcoin. Yet, according to Karen Scott-Howman, New Zealand Bankers’ Association chief executive, one of the main reasons that banks are struggling with digital currencies was due to anti-money laundering laws.

She said:

Banks have an important role to play in meeting the law’s aims. They take their obligations under the law very seriously. They’ve invested heavily in policies, systems, processes and staff training to ensure they identify, manage and mitigate any risks that the law targets.

She added that banks were required to be able to identify the senders and receivers of funds, as well as knowing the source of where those funds were coming from.
