221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: December 03, 2015, 07:25:52 PM
Hey all,

while everybody's busy desperately fighting for their life (and I am also), I'd also like to advertise a little side-kick project I've been working with the codename CKJester. Basically I'm hoping to offer some CK API-based service (planning free of charge with voluntary donation basis) to enthusiastic CK'ers who'd like some systematic visualizations and possibly statistical modeling of CK.

So far:
- Made a R script that calls the API on regular intervals with a set delay in-betwen each item call to disperse the burden, obtaining current buy/sell offer status of interesting items.
- Wraps the retrieved JSON to a R-friendly data format and combines the longitudinal information which is collected as described above.
- Made a few plot functions (i.e. buy/sell offer quantiles weighted by the amount of the particular item being sold, total sums of buy/sell etc)
- I plan to implement a graphical user-interface that accesses this processed data, where user may customize plots and perform interesting stuff of their preference (I might be able to put it up for free using R Shiny, but this remains to be seen).
- Everything is based on R, which is a free flexible open-source statistical software/language available at www.R-project.org for anybody that's interested.

So I did my first experiments on the above pipeline last weekend and have approximately 5 days amount of data with varying intervals, and I'd like to present you examples of what kind of visualizations could be produced.

I know you guys and gals love CAN so I started with that, and it's also very topical due to its connection to the health challenge(s). Basically here's a plotting of how CAN offers have changed during the past few days:

It's a work in progress so it's not very polished, but here you can already see a few interesting things:
- There was a drastic reduction in CAN buy/sell offers in-between Dec 1st/2nd EET night; possibly people waking up to the fact that there's yet an another health challenge to tackle Smiley
- Feasible off-the-shelf prices of CAN seem to have been a little tip over 10k during the past week. Notice it's log-transformed y-axis though, to compensate for a few outlierish sell/buy offers.

And then an another example; people got excited about silver recently! So I took a snapshot of a silver coin CS1606E:

- I think it was around 30th of November when people started realizing that silver was probably going to be worth more in the future, somebody buying off half of this particular coin. Sadly I'm missing the middle-point of that eventful night as I was unable to access the API for some unknown reason.
- With a delay of few days, people (or a person) have set a few new buy offers for newly discovered silver. Seems that nobody's willing to part of their precious CS1606E:s yet though, and there's quite a gap between the sell and buy offers.

I'm hoping these plots to have more informativeness when this has been gathered for a longer period of time. I hope you find these interesting, it's just a concept example of what I'm doing on my spare time. These default plots could of course be customized in the GUI to answer more specific questions. I think the API is a very interesting asset in CK, and at least from my experience so far, retrieving these sell/buy orders is not a very computationally intensive task. Only thing I'm currently missing is an API functionality that would allow inspecting the transaction log Wink

Stay tuned!

How frustrating! I had a brutal health challenge, and got it down to insignificant. But didn't manange to get it to none.  Angry

I sent 25 GIN from my storehouse for this year - Maybe it will be of help to you in this time of need.

I would also like to express my gratitude for Sir Jacket's generosity, in sponsoring me with 25 GIN as well. I truly appreciate it.
Looking forward to working my health back up (in real life too!) soon Smiley

I logged all of my health challenge along with my comments on how I tried to approach it.
TL;DR: I am level 9 (lower caste noble) of rather young age (41). I spent ~30mil trying to rid of my Severe challenge, but managed only to stay at Severe.

! NOVEMBER 25TH, 2015 - WEDNESDAY

# My character is 41 years old.

> health

You may still eat 200 units, drink 200 units and use 200 units of wisdom this year. Your remaining health challenge is Severe. Your overall health is Good

# Oh, nice! I'm not having a brutal challenge to start with. On the other hand my beginning health is only Good.

> CONSUME MEAD 20

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 200, drink 180 and use 200 units of wisdom this year.

> health

You may still eat 200 units, drink 180 units and use 200 units of wisdom this year. Your remaining health challenge is Severe. Your overall health is Good

# What about food?

> CONSUME MEAT 20

The eating/drinking felt Effective. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 180, drink 180 and use 200 units of wisdom this year.

# How about some veggies too to go with it?

> CONSUME VEG 20

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 180 and use 200 units of wisdom this year.

# Ok, time for some wisdom...

> CONSUME CAN 30

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 180 and use 170 units of wisdom this year.

> CONSUME CIG 1

The eating/drinking felt Useful. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 180 and use 169 units of wisdom this year.

# Let's grab a beer (or quite a few!) to tag along

> CONSUME BEER 50

The eating/drinking felt Effective. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 130 and use 169 units of wisdom this year.

# Still severe, ouch. How about some wine in smaller quantities...

> CONSUME W1613W 5

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 125 and use 169 units of wisdom this year.

# No? Maybe older vintage.

> CONSUME W1603 5

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 120 and use 169 units of wisdom this year.

# Ok, let's put in the big guns. Time to smoke a real deal.

> CONSUME COH 1

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 120 and use 168 units of wisdom this year.

# Dang it, still only Satisfying & I am at Severe. Let's try quantity over quality.

> CONSUME MEAD 100

The eating/drinking felt Effective. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 20 and use 168 units of wisdom this year.

# Hmm, not much left to drink and I'm still at Severe. Gotta think about this. Maybe a high quality drink to pour it down it with.

> CONSUME CXO 1

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 160, drink 19 and use 168 units of wisdom this year.

# Ok, slight disappointment. Still sitting at "Severe".

# Ok, so far I suspect "Effective" > "Satisfying" > "Useful"
# "Satisfying" > "Useful" because "CONSUME CIG 1" produced "Useful" while "CONSUME COH 1" produced "Satisfying"
# Effective I've only got with largish quantities of mid-range products (20 MEAT, 100 MEAD, or 50 BEER).

# At this point I thought that I'll try continue tomorrow, since I had to leave work, and HM mentioned that there was a "daily" bonus, so no point in consuming everything at once. Time to continue tomorrow!

! NOVEMBER 26TH, 2015 - THURSDAY

# Finally back from work, phew. Now I can get back to working on my health again!
# My plan for today; I bought a variety of wine drinks, since I read that there was a bonus of having consumed a large variety of different things. So I intend to spend the remaining 19 drinks of mine as widely spread as possible over diffent drink IDs.
# Furthermore, it was outlined that daily eating bonus is available; thus I intend to spread my remaining 160 eat over the remaining days:
# Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun (assuming challenge ends on the Sunday) would mean I'll consume 40 per day to maximize my bonus per day. I think I'll go for 40 MEAT per day or such.
# The wisdom part is still something I haven't decided on, but I think I'll be relying much on CAN. I do also have 10 mushrooms, which could also provide me variety.

> health

You may still eat 160 units, drink 19 units and use 168 units of wisdom this year. Your remaining health challenge is Severe. Your overall health is Good

# Yup, time to get started. I need variety, starting with consuming wines and other fine bewerages!

> consume CIG 40

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 120, drink 0 and use 80 units of wisdom this year.

# Hmm, finally something effective, though only with MEAT. I hope the remaining 3x 40 MEAT chunks will finally bring down that Severe to something milder. There's some room to play around with my wisdom, but I think my food strategy is now set for the coming 3 days.

! NOVEMBER 27TH, 2015 - FRIDAY

# Ok, time to start of with a good meal.

> consume MEAT 40

The eating/drinking felt Effective. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 80, drink 0 and use 80 units of wisdom this year.

# Still at severe, 80 of food and wisdom left. Maybe I just need to step up my quality; I'll consume FOIE in the coming days instead of MEAT. Wisdom is harder - CIG it is I guess.

! NOVEMBER 28TH, 2015 - SATURDAY

# Ok, time to step it up. 40x FOIE

> consume FOIE 40

The eating/drinking felt Effective. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 40, drink 0 and use 80 units of wisdom this year.

# Dang it. Still only Effective. Well, I got some room to play around with Wisdom but other than that I'm starting to run out of hope; although I could be closing in on the "lower" part of Severe.
# Still it's disappointing not to get any verbal improvement :D

!! November 29TH, 2015 - SUNDAY

# Time for the last touch, hopefully going down from Severe finally.

> consume FOIE 40

The eating/drinking felt Effective. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 0, drink 0 and use 80 units of wisdom this year.

# No more eating then, time to be wise.
# Ok, my last chance. Time to smoke some COH, and consume my only AYA.

> consume AYA 1

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 0, drink 0 and use 79 units of wisdom this year.

# Satisfying?! Dang it, woulda thought that 10mil potion would've been at least "Effective" :S oh well. Let's try if a bunch of COH will fix things.

> consume COH 10

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 0, drink 0 and use 69 units of wisdom this year.

# Oh man, still only "Satisfying". I think I'll buy some cigars and then put my last hopes on a stack of 50 CAN.

> consume CIG 19

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 0, drink 0 and use 50 units of wisdom this year.

# Oh well, here goes the last set. 50 CAN or nothing, still sitting at Severe :(

> consume CAN 50

The eating/drinking felt Satisfying. I feel the remaining health challenge to be Severe. I could still eat 0, drink 0 and use 0 units of wisdom this year.

# And so ends the Health Challenge for Syksy. Starting from Severe, ending at Severe :/

Thus, as a summary;
I started with Severe, ended with Severe, and spent around ~30mil on the way trying to cure my way to healthiness.
I probably wasted some of the initial bonuses, and should've bought large quantities of wines and consumed them right away in at least quantities of 50, reading on how some people got rid of their Brutals/Severes.
Perhaps I had misunderstood something about the variety bonuses or that maybe the initial bonus only applied to item type (food/drink/wisdom) and not particular item ID. Or maybe there's something else I had fundamentally misunderstood. I got a lot "Effective"/"Satisfying" responses but in the end they were not enough. Oh well Smiley

Is graphics version released yet? Can we play this with 2D or 3D graphics?

I believe the browser-based game is open for anonymous open exploring (www.cryptokingdom.me), although public registration is not currently open (to my knowledge, somebody correct me if I'm wrong) as there is still on-going development before people start pouring in. The game is basicly 2D / typical browser-based interface (think early Travian, Tribal Wars, Planetarion, etc). While they do have a concept 3D "building block" node also installed for testing purposes to visualize buildings in a more advanced way, it's not in use yet.

Here's a basic overview of my relatively poor Baron life inside CryptoKingdom (screenshots from Chrome, I cropped my personal info on the tabs and limited the view to the page only):

A view on my character. I own ~1k gold, ~0.2k silver, and 150+ different item types. The land and building amounts are not up-to-date yet.

This is where most of the magic happens: the Agora market. I have sorted items based on their level, and the highest level items are extremely expensive (if for sale at all). For example, the Sword of Mario basicly is not purchasable except by maybe 1 to 3 people in the whole game, so it's more of a cosmetic sale offer. On the other hand, some noble might really want to buy the TRC6-3 noble carriage, which has a sales offer for 250mil moneritos (=250 XMR). Then there are some buy offers, but I'm suspecting nobody is willing to part of their precious Gold Unicorn for a mere 30mil...

A closer look on how Agora works. I picked an arbitrary relatively interesting item, Green Herbs in this case (CAN in short ID). As you can see, there's quite many buy/sell offers. I zoomed out to 50% so that you can see that in the lower parts of Agora you can check out item history, where you could see recent conducted sales of the item in question. You also see that my wallet currently has 10mil moneritos (=10 XMR), and I own 500+ CAN, so I could place a sale offer from here to the "command line"-shown in central part of the screenshot, or maybe buy more since CAN might be important in the upcoming Health challenge.

A 2d-view on the actual map of the north-east Old Town, one of the most central parts in the whole kingdom. The lots on here are either highly occupied, or being sold for only the richest. I chose it because it actually has some relevance to me...

Woo, my very own Baron's house! I chose NE Old Town because this is the only central place in the whole kingdom where I have a valuable building/lot, and I had realistic chances of buying a humble abode. I was recently promoted to Baron status (last week), so I had to put an effort into moving in from my old neighborhood (the swampy Free Lands far to the north), so I purchased this lot. It was quite an investment, given how poor I am in general in comparison to most of the established players.

A view on the transaction log, which is publicly visible to all. As you can see, I've recently sold 9 units of IC (~"imported goods points") to player Avitohol for a total of 1,849,500 moneritos. After that, I've been experimenting with the CONSUME command, drinking 50 units of German white wine produced in year 1613 (=W1613W), and after that eating some Green Herbs (=CAN). This is because of the Health Challenge that is being tested at the moment, which you can read more about in earlier posts.

So that's a brief overview to a Baron's (lower tier noble) everyday life in CK at the moment Smiley

Would be interesting to also hear also about the distribution of CONsols, since there was such excitement about them recently.

Everyone has equal access to view/filter changelog, so this distribution can be easily collected yourself, for instance by checking the latest "DIVIDEND CON M 100000" command, who got the money.

I thought there might be some additional admin analytics tools already available, since for example it wasn't obvious for me how the CKG counts were extracted (don't know the kind of info admins have beyond Agora market view and transaction log). But here's a bit of my output: I plotted the below histogram (along with some quantiles) from the provided output from the dividends. This will obviously miss the people with 0 CONs due to the way the input was extracted; taking the max char ID (mine actually, 138) minus the number of rows from the dividends (26) would indicate (at least) 112 chars/companies are without CONs.

But people (26 total) who have at least 1 CON:

Of people with CONs, ~80% own 6 or more.
Of people with CONs, ~60% own 25 or more.
Of people with CONs, ~half own ~45 or more.
Of people with CONs, ~40% own 77 or more.
Of people with CONs, ~20% own 168 or more.

King is obviously in a league of His own, with the respectable count of 860. I think this gives a better view to the CON distribution, than if I had put x-axis to log-scale. The annual yield from owning CONs is linearly increasing after all, if we ignore any possible changes in the buy/sell value of the CONs themselves.

The histogram was produced using the below R code, where "CONs.txt" is the output from the dividends as copy-pasted from above rpietila's post.
Code:
cons <- read.table("CONs.txt", sep=" ", header=F)
png("CONs.png", width=1000, height=500)
par(mar=c(4,4,1,1))
hist(cons[,"V10"], breaks=100, main="", xlab="Number of CONs", axes=F)
p <- c(0,.2,.4,.5,.6,.8,1)
q <- quantile(cons[,"V10"], probs=p)
nam <- paste(round(p*100, 0), "%")
lapply(1:length(q), FUN=function(z){
abline(v=q[z], col=z, lwd=2)
})
legend("top", legend=c("Quantiles", paste(nam, q, sep=":")), col=0:length(q), bty="n", lwd=2)
axis(1, at=c(0, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 800), cex.axis=0.6); axis(2)
dev.off()

I'm hoping some time in the future to find the time to build some scripts for automated statistics based on the changelog, but I haven't yet grasped the JS code package that saddam kindly provided earlier. I certainly don't intend to spam the API, but there is a lot of interesting stuff yet to be analyzed.

The Gamemaster is Impartial. 700*COH distributed according to merit. (Greatest merit and proof had been record of purchasing CIG, since few had anything else to show.)

ADD: 300*COH sold at 600 million. Town thanks you, may COH be the most coveted burning baton for years to come!  Cool

I have personally smoked 50% of all the real-life cigars of my life in the presence of His Majesty - alas, I am not an experienced smoker. One of them was in my upper secondary school graduation in 2006 (where His Majesty was unfortunately not present), and now my second in Malla this past summer. It's the pinnacles of life, where I lay these rare landmarks.

Year change to 1614

The S-WW is probably getting the first white wine in 1614! Good or bad we don't know, but collectible it will be for sure.

Wohoo, I have been waiting eagerly for the Germanian white wine!

Congratulations also to Saddam and Crichton for the promotions, well deserved.

Looking forward to the exciting CK years to come, it feels like everything's accelerating so fast.

The account will be terminated as a punitive measure if:
- The character is convicted of Treason, and in major or repeated cases of Felony. Treason is defined as a wilful act, attempt or plot to undermine, corrupt, damage, compromise etc. of the CK's, (State of the) World's, Town's, King's, etc rule-bound authority, integrity or function. In addition to terminating the account, the character may be sentenced to death, and before that lose all assets and decorations.
- Illegal immigrants may be expelled without warning. Illegal immigration means mass character farming, especially if characters are bot-controlled, but only with proof that it is done for the purpose of monetary gain rather than to enjoy the game.

I think the majority of the rules seem clear. However, I would like to see the above quote clarified (Felony especially), due to the severity of the punishment; after all, the character/account is put to death!

For example, when I first joined the IRC-channel, I kept referring to the King as "Your Highness" (I thought from some references that this might be proper). I was soon corrected, that I should be using "Your Majesty", as only this would be proper for the King.

If the King was having a bad day, would this count as "Strike #1 in Felony" for Syksy as an attempt to undermine/corrupt King's authority? It was a sincere mistake, and a very extreme example (I sure hope King didn't mark down one for me...), but above rules is a bit vague still on this aspect. Is roleplaying in a clumsy manner enough to undermine King's authority and integrity, or does it only refer to attempts to e.g. hack King's account, impersonate the King etc? I think I got the definition of "Treason", but "Felony" (which would result in "Treason" if done multiple times) in particular is still unclear to me.

As an interesting further reading, here's an oldie but goodie "Top 5 memorable events in MMOs": http://lorehound.com/news/top-5-most-memorable-events-in-mmorpg-history/, and in particular #1 out of Ultima Online is interesting in relation to CK.

Richard Garriot, the creator of the famous Ultima RPG series, had a reincarnation (Lord British) inside Ultima Online MMO in late 1990s (1997 in this example). During a public speech, he was assassinated using a bug, while the character was normally flagged as invulnerable by definition. The bug abuser was banned due to multiple accounts of bug abusing, but still this serves as an interesting example of how authority could be undermined using game's own mechanics, though in this case it was through an unintended feature.

The King could be in my opinion be kind of compared how Lord British reincarnated in Ultima Online. He was both a developer as well as a player (albeit with "superpowers" in UO case).

Could this game eventually have an Android app for easy mobile play?

The game runs on any browser and it's not very heavy, so I think it's just best to access the game with your native mobile browser. I don't think it requires an additional app just yet, since they're intensively developing the browser-version. At least on my tablet the game runs fine, I haven't tried on my Android phone though.

The address is: http://www.cryptokingdom.me/
although there's currently a maintenance break going on, so you won't be able to register or act in-game right now.

LEADERSHIP BUREAUCRACY
How to make sure nothing gets done at work
- -

That's quite an amusing (and spot on) list for few organizations and groups I've met. Probably many were inefficient (~sabotaging) not on purpose, but because of bad leadership or lack of any, which could be the root of many of these list pointers.

Usually I'm quite good in sniffing out meetings with these traits and dodging them, but today I had an especially bad one. A meeting about organizing other meetings, which might lead to projects or collaborations or meetings or arrangements or discussions, ad infinitum... and every time somebody was about to say something interesting and concrete, the head professor goes "let's not go too much into details, as we're from such diverse backgrounds". Sadly I think most in the room actually wanted good things to happen, but it was 2h down the drain.

Do you think the authors of Conversion of amino-acid sequence in proteins to classical music: search for auditory patterns will be willing to generate some tracks for the game. You could loop the four tracks attached for hours. Tracks 3 and 4 are with rhythm based on the same amino-acid sequence. We could even ask them if they are willing to give us the generator code to incorporate it in the game with a basic GUI. You only need to copy/paste an amino acid sequence from a biological database, switch a few switches and voila - you have your own classical track generated Smiley

Interesting paper and idea!

Though I must notify as a bioinformatician working with genomics and proteomics, that proteins are much more than just their amino-acid sequence - there's epigenomics (modifications such as phosphorylation) as well as the secondary and tertiary 3d-structures that make them the complex functional "tools" that they are. Bare amino-acid sequence is a very redundant representation of the complexity and diversity that they offer.

It's really hard to replace the talent and experience of an actual 8-bit musician with such Smiley but I can help translate this paper into an actual music tool if it is pursued further.

- - we put the difficulty level up at the very beginning - at least the new character needs to figure out how to get the land and start building. (Options are to save but that takes a few weeks, exp-grind through the tutorial and sell all valuable freebies, wait for town or other land giveaway, enlist to some tribe incl. church that offers housing to members, or deposit, or why not gamble as well - selling pseudo-ingame services is usually feasible in the stage where the character already owns the house).

One additional way that quite many games use, is through Daily Quests that have some nice little rewards.
From a pool of readily made (eligible) quests like: (i): Make a market transaction; (ii): Build a wooden building; (iii): Gamble; (iv) Use the GIVE-command; (v) ...
game would offer a new random quest each day and add it to the player's pool of daily quests. Each player would have a maximum pool size of 3 to 7 quests - so if you don't log in within 3 days or 7 days and complete these dailies you'll be losing on "free money". This is quite an easy way to give new players something as a reward for their loyalty and dedication towards the game, even for freebies. Additionally, the psychological positive effect of getting something done and even a minor reward may be huge.

Hardcore gamers will quickly notice that dailies are not enough to gain momentum properly and seek additional ways, while more casual players would be happy about such a possibility catered for them.

I would like to volunteer for a Junior Admin,

with a focus on storytelling and individualized game event creation. Game design also interests me, but I still lack in understanding some mechanics of CK well enough - for example, building is still an enigma for me since it has not yet been available in Ultima and I am a post-spreadsheet player.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: October 19, 2015, 09:55:36 AM

I wish I had signed up in the beginning. Those who ignored the game (like me) in the very beginning when it was only run on spreadsheets regret that decision now.

This is like regretting not buying Bitcoin before it hit $1. Get over your regrets and get playing.  Tongue

I for one started just couple weeks ago, albeit I was given a character prior to Ultima platform launch. It feels like the game is built so that it can naturally expand, so I don't think it's an issue if one starts in the "post-spreadsheet" era, like myself.

Syksy's Antiquities and Fascinating Coins Auction

No bids yet, but interested. As the preeminent collector of CKG coins, I have over 100 uniques in my collection. Many of those that I do not hold are in the hands of dormant players or yet to be distributed. There are still a few in your auction that I do not have, so I will be watching.

I also just bought the Queen's Pawnshop and all the CKS contained within, so my current focus is developing the CKS market.

It is exciting to hear that the (unofficial) biggest coin collector in-game is interested Smiley let me know if you want to discuss the content more in detail, or if you'd like some bundles to be adjusted - we could have a deal if no bids are made, if there are parts that are more interesting.

I was more aiming for newer collectors here, or ones that would appreciate the time effort I put into collecting these representative bundles manually in Agora, so they would not need to bother themselves.

Dear fellow scholars, eager merchants, aspiring collectors, honorable nobles, and Your Majesty,

I hereby wish to declare the first

Syksy's Antiquities and Fascinating Coins Auction

or in short, SAFCA I.

I have collected here 3 sets of items (practically coins) from the Agora Market, labeled and described them through-oughtly, and wish to now sell parts of my collections in so-called bundles. A bundle here means that all the items will be sold together to the highest bidder. The auction will last for a week, and if no bids are made above the minimum auction bid (which is announced per each bundle separately), I will then just keep the items to myself and continue to drown in beautiful coins and antiquities. Each bundle comes with a bottle of fine alcohol. This is to celebrate the purchase, and is indicated with * in the list of items (as spirits differ in characteristics, I'm only marking here which alcoholic drink comes with which bundle).

The presented item bundles are with the following format:
  • ID: Item ID
  • Count: Count (number of items included)
  • tCKG: Total CKG for ID
  • Year: Year produced
  • Exist: How many exist in CK
  • Bid/1: Cheapest bid per unit 18th Oct Agora
  • Description: More detailed description
Bid was extracted manually on 18th of October (approximately 6 PM Finnish time), the current lowest sell offer that was available (if any was), to give an idea what is being sold if bought individually.

Bundle 1: "Audentes Fortuna Iuvat - Fortune Favors the Bold";
in celebration of some of the founding key people behind the CryptoKingdom and their personifications and related events

This personalized package of collectible gold coins from the recent year of 1600 creates a unified view to the CryptoKingdom. It displays various personalities inside the community, as well as some key events and places. Multiple coins are present more than once, resulting in an almost 200 CKG total sum in the bundle already - quite a value on its own. As such, it captures some key moments in CryptoKingdom's history. It is highly likely that these coins become harder and harder to obtain as time passes on, so now is a chance to grab this CKG-heavy bundle of neatly packaged CK history. Such a package can only be justified by topping it off with Louis XII Old Cognac as a sidekick. Disclaimer: I hope nobody feels offended if their personal coin is not included in this bundle. This is solely due to the fact that I am limited to what is being sold on Agora Market, and maybe that particular important coin has not yet been available.

Bundle 2: "Pauca Sed Bona - Few, but Good";
a set of rare collectible coins from the very early 1400s era of high value

This bundle of gold coins from the 1400s era captures the intensity and fluctuation in coins and early development of the CK. While over half of the coins are extremely rare (6x 20 produced), even the very uncommon ones stand out (3x40). The only exception being a really early coin produced in 1418 (1x198 existing) highlights how difficult it is to obtain gold coins from early 1400s - and note that no collectible gold coins exist pre-1400 (to my knowledge). The package is topped with a LAG Best Whisky of "Isla", to enjoy the glimmering view of the glorious 1400s era, when blue-eyed pioneers set out to establish CK.

Bundle 3: "Pauca Sed Matura - Few, but Ripe";
a set of rare collectible coins from the early 1500s era of high value

This beautiful set of coins with a mean stamp age in the earlier half of 1500s consists almost solely of extremely rare coins (only 8x20 produced, exceptions 1x28 and 1x40 - rare as well). Their slightly lower price is reflected due to a relatively later date in comparison to the Bundle 2, however 1500s is still very early in the history of CryptoKingdom, and these coins really stand out due to their rarity. Note that in the advent of 1610s, we are closing in on 100 year anniversaries on many of these coins. The package comes topped with a bottle of Rum "Methuselah", with its fluctuating flavour capturing the intensity of these extremely rare coins - I mean, that's approximately how it feels to own 5% of something unique in the whole world.

Further Details

  • Please post any bids with your character name in this thread publicly.
  • Indicate the bundle (1, 2, or 3) along with your bid.
  • The auction will close one week from this (closing on 25th of Oct, approximately 6 PM Finnish time) and I will contact you in person.
  • In the unlikely scenario that people are really excited and actually start topping each other, please keep a minimum raise of 20mil, so we don't flood this thread.
  • Should you have any questions or concerns, I can be contacted with "/query Syksy" at freenode or publicly via the IRC-channel. I am always online, but not necessarily present, but I will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • If an Ultima admin is available, I can specs out specific lists of TRANSFER-commands to conduct these transfers once the auction is finished, and they can run the TRANSFER-list (please raise your hand if you volunteer!). Otherwise if no admin is available, the auction will end so, that you will GIVE-command me the moneros, and I will GIVE-command back the items of the selected bundle.

I have made considerable effort here shuffling through the Agora Market and present here exact details for each item bundle. For example, characteristics like the current highest Agora Marker sell order if available (date Oct 18), CKG-content, year, count of existing similar items (i.e. rarity/uniqueness) are presented, to make it easier to assess whether a bundle would be interesting for you.

The lowest bid per bundle I have set approximates above 10% of what I paid when I purchased the item or where my guess is for that particular set of items. For some items there has not yet been any Agora Market transactions, and I think now is a unique opportunity to grab a few exceptionally rare and neatly packaged bundles. Notice that I evaluated different factors in your favor (such as price/CKG-ratio, current bids, rarity in terms of how many coins were produced, and year of production) when constructing these, and since many bundles contain a lot of CKG there's not just the factor of collectibility but also raw gold value itself.

My price here is the time and effort (and I have mainly purchased these items after Ultima came out), and that I am offering these neatly packaged item sets for anybody interested. So please consider this, given the time consumed to dig through Agora Market for these interesting items.

Kind regards,
Datamancer, Aspiring Collector, Scholar and Merchant, and de facto Auctioneer,
Syksy
