... I believe we should abide by due process. ... It seems that, no, you don't. Pandora's box, indeed. -- edit Looks like you have proven this statement on the www.strongcoin.com page is a lie: "neither we nor anyone else can spend your Bitcoins. Only you. "

Got mine back yesterday!
Thank you for taking the time to report that to us, demzie. Greatly appreciated.

Looks like there's still cached shares / history to catch up with.
I show unconfirmed credits even though it is *way* past twenty hours since I submitted a share.
NP. Just FYI.
if you are on DGM you will be paid for several rounds after you stop mining, it is the "tail off" Yep, expect that. Here's some data. Just in case it is useful. If you wish / need, I'll PM you the account name. Although I doubt this is an anomaly specific to me. Just trying to help work through the transition effects. I don't think you would be out of line to suggest to just give it a day and see if it settles out. I'm merely reporting what I see now. "DGM Round Credit*: 0.00000982 BTC Unconfirmed Credit: 0.03981841 BTC" "232427 2013-04-19 14:56:14 1,490 0.00293916 0.00000000 0.00000197 Completed"

Website back online Not for me. https://ozcoin.net/Is there an incantation which should be used other than that?

...In this case, it's not overbroad... And, in this case, you make a partial response. You owe me, specifically and individually, an apology. It is a matter of integrity and honor. Still waiting.
|
|

... I have apologized many times over for that. I am, however, tired of apologizing. It does not mollify anyone ...
"I am, however, tired of apologizing." Unfortunate. When it's appropriate one should. Whether tired of it or not. However, I do recognize that one blanket apology can deal with many offenses. I requested once that you apologize to me. And specifically substantiated why it was due. From that point you never again posted in that thread to my knowledge. "It does not mollify anyone" An over broad generalization, IMO.

Hold!
My apologies.
My bad / my misreading.
"shows that an Avalon"

"you might want to check that again" Nope. *I* didn't make any estimate / statement. Merely pointed to where 'some other dude' had done so. As I thought some in this thread might find that interesting. If you disagree, I suggest you go 'over there' and join in that discussion. I'm sure your reasonable disagreements will be welcomed and the discussion / estimates might be improved by a rational discourse about different assumptions.

... If I may show my little piece about BFL and display how much of a whinny prick customer I am they hate so much. ...
Actually, IMO you just proved BLF's position with that post. Per that convo, you *never were* a customer. You placed an order and then did not pay for it in a timely manner. That order was voided due to non-payment. In this narrow and specific case I would have to agree with Josh, you are not the type of customer which any company would desire.

... Admins/moderators, please PM us for an additional discount.
Oops, I think you just blew it. You are offering to pay admins/moderators for favorable treatment? Integrity check: FAIL If you meant something else, you might want to post with a rephrasing.

That auction got stupid real fast. It's pitiful. Just throw out the word asic and people lose all common sense, rationality, and throw their money out the window.
Well, at one level there is some rationality. Just comparing to my setup, they paid 4x the cost (in USD equivalent) for 4x the hash rate per second as I did for FPGAs. IOWs, they paid about $825 USD per gh/s. So did I for the FPGAs. And, I think, their energy cost per gh/s is less than half of mine. (Maybe closer to a fourth.) However, my FPGAs have been constantly mining since blocks were worth 50btc each. Oh, and starting when difficulty was about a fourth what it is now. -- edit - Improved some phrasing, estimates, in the third paragraph.

They might still be in business, however, I have decided I'll never deal with them. (I wanted to purchase from them. Otherwise I wouldn't have been doing the research.) In this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149253.0 Coinabul has clearly stated that at their discretion they will neither issue a refund nor ship a replacement order if your original order fails to be delivered. Even though the buyer pays for Coinabul's insurance. I realize many people have been happy with their purchases. However, *I* will not assume risk which rightfully falls on the merchant until the merchandise is delivered. -- The referenced thread is fairly long but well worth reading if you're considering making a purchase through them. You might want to scan through reading just the OP's and Coinabul's responses. I find the OP credible. Coinabul, not so much. NOTE: The OP grants during the discussion that he probably should have used less inflammatory language in the Topic / Title.

I will personally shame anyone who calls such a thing a cash grab by the pool.
You are entitled to set your pool options any way you desire, of course. Forcing your desires upon others is tyranny. Whatever, I desire you to push the logout button. Not gonna happen. Suggest you get over it since you have no coercive means available to enforce your desired oppression. Without the work done by pool admins, you could have earned 0 BTC mining. A false statement. If the pool said "we got hacked, would you like forgive some of our obligation to pay you", instead of just pushing out the payments with even more borrowed money, some may call it begging. I want to make it clear that at least one pool miner would want to do this and thinks that others should know what's going on before their mined BTC keeps rolling in like normal.
Fair enough. That was not your original statement.

is it possible to push through a much higher fee transaction and get it accepted before one of the fraudulent ones, thereby invalidating the whole chain?
As far as the bitcoin network is concerned, they are not fraudulent. That is the nature of BTCs. Once they are sent, they are sent. Any mechanic which could 'pull back' the BTC sent as a result of this successful attack would be a demonstration that the bitcoin concept itself is fatally flawed. Resulting in a collapse in value of bitcoin itself. -- My condolences, Graet. -- edit - changed "hack" to "successful attack"

Over a day without an update.
Still no payout.
And the web site has just gone offline. [edit -- Seems to be back now. Perhaps a short term glitch anywhere between here and there.]
Regardless, At this point I no longer have any miners pointed to Ozcoin.
