221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else is going to hold while people try to short the halving? on: July 05, 2016, 04:58:30 PM
Always hold.

I've been through worse. I am not a trader and would never pretend to be.

I'm a simple man, I buy and I hodl.

It does keep things simple.  Buy,Hold, and check it later.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: July 05, 2016, 04:56:41 PM
Why would you "invest" with the halving approaching?  You are already invested IMO and there should be some good buy and sell opportunities with the volatility that will take place.
223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Newbie) Question about wallets and Coinbase on: July 05, 2016, 04:54:29 PM
In regards to Coinbase, I have used them for a year and have had a positive experience and feel their wallet and vault are easy to use and secure.  They are based in San Francisco and have great customer service.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Etherium price is decreasing day by day ? on: July 05, 2016, 04:44:34 PM
Stagnation and investor fatique?  who knows.  It will go back up like it always does.  ETH is not going anywhere.
225  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-05] Political party suggests legalising bitcoin in Russia on: July 05, 2016, 04:25:47 PM
This is better than the numerous articles in the last year with the title something like: Russia looks to ban bitcoin . . .
226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-04]Bitcoin Price Watch; Volatility Ahead? on: July 05, 2016, 04:23:53 PM
A dream come true for traders.  The one thing we can be certain about with bitcoin is that it highly unpredictable and volatile.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Fail!! Sell or hodl? on: July 04, 2016, 04:44:05 PM
I have no idea what to say to do.  I am going to hold some for the novelty.  Even if this DAO is dead others will build upon this concept.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Just Too Stupid to Use Bitcoin Right Now on: July 04, 2016, 03:51:48 PM
I have to say yes, and a combination of other things:

-too busy earning fiat to pay mortgage to pay attention to tech innovations
-fear of technology
-fear of change
-too lazy to learn how to send and receive btc
-distracted by the Bachelor
229  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: China’s Proposed New Law Recognizes Bitcoin as ‘People’s Rights’ on: July 04, 2016, 03:47:44 PM
Good news.  China is moving forward logically by recognizing that in order for people to feel safe with it as an investment it needs to be protected like all other personal properties.  Sure, this takes away from btc as a currency but I think this is good for adoption.
230  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-04] Dutch Government Announces Blockchain Development Campus on: July 04, 2016, 03:42:54 PM
Good article and great news.  Having a physical campus indicates seriousness.  We will see more and more organizations interested in educating themselves about this emerging technology.
231  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-03] news.bitcoin.com-Is DAO Technology Viable For Funding eSports Teams on: July 04, 2016, 03:39:28 PM
Interesting read, it potentially could solve some of the issues mentioned in the first few paragraphs. Good to see the concepts of the DAO alive despite the attack.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 02, 2016, 03:02:58 PM
Looks like Lisk will be add to the waves platform in order to exchange euro and dollars for Lisk? That will be a massive lift for waves, also will be good for Lisk if they have direct euro in to Lisk, we will see what happens, this week after russia and Ukraine we will know whats on!!!

Man, i hope that is not true.  I would rather have LISK distance itself from that crap.  Waves needs all the help it can get, not the other way around.

this tbh, waves is gonna implode and drive everything associated with it to the ground
best keep away from those fraudsters

I agree!  Please stay the heck away from WAVES!

233  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-01] From blockchain to bitcoin: John McAfee to start bitcoin mining on: July 01, 2016, 02:54:50 PM
From blockchain to bitcoin: John McAfee to start bitcoin mining
MGT Capital Investments is clearly determined to become one of the key bitcoin miners at the very moment when the world awaits the mining reward halving.

Great press for bitcoin - McAfee will do what he says on this.  Always liked this guy.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A better forum is needed on: June 29, 2016, 03:26:40 AM
Many of your points are valid but there is no other forum like this one.  This is the center of the universe for bitcoin and alts.
235  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: how to identify bitcoin a property while you married or devoced on: June 28, 2016, 06:51:31 PM
We both know all passwords and the location of our bitcoins. Treat it as any other property.  You wouldn't want to kick the bucket and lose those bitcoin.
236  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: June 28, 2016, 06:47:50 PM
I think it is a good bet to say it is mostly millennials.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From 1 Bitcoin to 100 Bitcoins - what would you do then? on: June 28, 2016, 02:41:26 PM
I mean, I would take my decision (and solicit opinions for the decision) in private, not in public. Basically, I hope you're posting this through some IP anonymising service, because otherwise, you're kind of leaking more information about your BTC holdings than I would consider wise. I use anonymising services to login to bitcointalk.org, and I still don't reveal my BTC holdings (past, present or future) on this forum. Bear in mind that other people might copy your behaviour without taking precautions, you wouldn't want that, would you?

+1
The amount of disclosure of btc holdings on this forum is mind boggling.  Huh
238  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-06-28]New Chinese Civil Law Draft Classifies Bitcoin as Property on: June 28, 2016, 02:32:27 PM
Interesting development.  I wonder if the US will change its policy as currently the IRS considers it a commodity.  The Chinese have it right in my opinion because classifying it as a property grants the usual civil protections of property:

"If implemented into the statute, the new draft will automatically consider bitcoin and other digital currency holdings as private property, making the owner eligible for legal protection against fraud and theft."
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO glory days are done on: June 28, 2016, 02:30:28 AM
I figured something like this would happen Undecided But in truth, we're seeing "ICO exhaustion." The ICO pyramiders got burned in WAVES and learned a somber lesson about pyramiding.

Myself, it seems the only way I can play the game is by holding for the long-term. Shoulda done that with NEM....

This.  I think at this point it is "ICO exhaustion".  WAVES and RISE were the latest losers for lambo dreamers.  ICO's glory days are not gone as people will continue to create and some of them will be winners.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 28, 2016, 01:26:44 AM
The jokers on this thread demanding a high price and constant updates from the developers are hilarious.  They actually don't have to tell you anything, did bill gates change the diapers of his investors..no,  and if you don't like the price then sell your cheap coins to me.  Stay calm and keep buying your favorite cryptos or GTFO.
