221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any pvp betting game? on: May 12, 2019, 10:52:30 AM
I would love to play a skilled game

What about betting game simply?

You bet with someone you'll be able to beat him at a game... Then you play the game and see who wins... Seems easy enough to me.

No need for a specific dedicated game.

Goodluck finding a casino or a gambling site that even considers that. I don't think pvp games, if you're thinking about the likes of online gaming, will have much to expect from gambling sites since there's very little in it for them. You might as well just do it with your friends. Or if you look at it in another way, poker seems pvp enough for me. You go against other players and you try to formulate your own strategy to stay until the last hand and win the pot.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Happy accidents on: May 12, 2019, 10:11:38 AM
I think most of these lucky accidents happen when you're ready to throw everything out the window and is already resigned to the fact that you'll go home empty handed. I can remember once when i was playing baccarrat and curiously, it seems the draw is deliberately going against my bet. I've had enough that night and decided to just make one last small bet for the banker but i mistakenly placed all my high chips on the table instead of the lower ones. I went home that day with double my capital all in a single round 😁😁😁
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: May 12, 2019, 09:49:57 AM
You will always end up with a losing percentage over time when playing dice at a casino.  The only strategy I would suggest is to use your entire gambling budget on one or two bets and walk away if you win.
This reflects high risk that exists in gambling so what is the need to get into such risk where there is no regular profit. Better you find other ways get started with businesses like the modern crypto market where there exist lots of opportunities to make profit. In case of gambling especially dice, which is a pure luck-based game then your strategies do no work much as compared to strategic games like poker.

The funny thing is that it seems dice sites just simply know when to take your money. I just recently lost .3 btc by using martingale just to seE how far  that technique can take me and the longer i place double bets, the quicker my money gets burned. It's seriously not a good idea unless you have an unlimited capital, which of course can be used for more productive purposes with higher percentage of profit lol.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why? on: May 12, 2019, 09:34:22 AM
The reason why people still playing on a gambling site that doesn't support instant withdrawal yet can be because they are loyal. Sometimes loyalty is non-sense but that's true, another reason could be because they don't know yet about instant withdrawal or not interested with gambling site that provides instant withdrawal but not able to play with fiat. Who knows?
There is no loyalty with money mate. No one would be loyal to anyone to a site that delays payment irrespective of how good the site might be. After all there are no games the site would have to offer that can’t be seen in other sites. I was playing on a site that delays payment before now, didn’t see anything wrong with it because that was where I started gambling and I wasn’t even aware that it is possible to get payment within hours, not until my friends told me about their experience.

I stopped gambling on that site that day. So it is very possible that those people who still play on sites that delay payment are not aware that there is possibility of receiving money instantly without delays.
It is not in the interest of any gambler to gamble on sites with low and bad service and those who understand the difference between good and bad services prefer to stay away from such websites like you did. With crypto a medium of exchange, the transactions should not take anything longer than few minutes or must be instant. There are people who complain about gambling sites blocking their access to chat or different options upon a withdrawal request.

Loyalty is one thing, but seeming to not have any consideration for your users and customers is another. A couole of hours delay would already cause tension and anxiety to most people so what more if it takes days before you receive your payment. Obviously its a serious issue for me and probably for majority of gamblers and site users. There's no use being loyal to a site if you get treated that way.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: May 12, 2019, 08:59:05 AM
KYC is never going to work with the online casinos. In case a popular online gambling site makes KYC mandatory, then the majority of the users are likely to shift to some other site, where it is not needed. In short, it will just push the activity underground and make it even more difficult for the government authorities to do surveillance and tracking.

Indeed, KYC will reduce the number of users of a casino if they request it as the main requirement. There will be no difference between fiat casinos and crypto casinos. So in my opinion, users might prefer to use fiat casinos rather than crypto casinos when KYC becomes obligatory.

Nope i doubt it. Once a person tries crypto gambling, i don't think they'll go back to fiat just because of kyc implementation. There are a lot of crypto gambling sites out there and it's easy to just move from one casino to another. KYC benefits the casinos more than the users and players and we all know it. Yeah there's the positive effect of making it easier to track scammed and hacked accounts, but compare that to the possibility of your information being compromised when a casino itself gets hacked, i'd rather stay anonymous.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did today bullish trend affect gambling! on: May 12, 2019, 08:31:25 AM
And so the bullish trend continues, I'm sure most gamblers are not reluctant to play with their bitcoin,  Grin. So for me the best options is altcoins, you can't go wrong with Ethereum, Litecoin and Doge. I would rather hold my bitcoins for now and hope for a good profits in this run continues to at least $10k.
How could a gambler be reluctant to play with their coins and here I mean Bitcoin if there is a chance for them to win? You just put your coins on the line and if you are way too experienced in a particular area and can smell the victory coming, you should gamble. I do so in sports gambling and it feels great to log out with a 2x profits. With every dollar rise in the market value of Bitcoin, there will be a more influx in the gambling arena.

I think a gambler should be reluctant most of the time. It doesn't matter what the state of the market is, whether bitcoin is making a run or not. If you're putting your money on the line with only fate and luck as your reason for doing so, you should always give it a second thought. Though i doubt that gamblers think that way. You'd hardly find any difference with gambling transactions when btc is up or down.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: May 12, 2019, 08:02:42 AM
gambling must be for fun so there is no need to torture your brain and try to invent the system to cheat the casino. just relax and play.
That is an easy theory but when you have lost a lot, you will not be able to relax and no longer have fun. Making a strategy in gambling is important even though it is luck that will determine the outcome and that is enough to make the brain mess because of the strong desire to take back what has been lost.
Chasing back losses is not the right way to play gambling because it will add to the loss we experience. Preferably, relax the money we have lost by gambling and stop for a moment to refresh the mind. Following your passions will only make things worse.

That's the action of an indiscipline gambler, when we do that, most of the time we will end up losing.
Because of our frustration and our inability to accept loses, instead of spending what is budgeted, we will loss more money.

Lol. If someone is unable to accept their losses, then they shouldn't be gambling in the first place. Gambling will eat you alive if you invest your emotions in it so you have to first make yourself aware of what can and will happen before you start that first bet. A lot of people are living proof of how disastrous gambling can be for people who take too seriously and make it a big part of their lives.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which factors influence your decision of choosing an online crypto casino? on: May 12, 2019, 07:56:52 AM
*mobile version (easier for people who are always on the go)
-would also have to be user friendly
*support availability and promptness
*reputation (though it can be built up through time)
*security
*variety of games (poker should be included 😁)
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People who gamble are degenerates, change my mind. on: May 12, 2019, 07:45:02 AM
I know my statement may sound pretty hostile on this part of the board, though I'm not talking about the person who will buy a superbowl box or makes a friendly bet with someone over one big game. I think the degenerates are the people sitting around gambling on every game they can possibly gamble on.

I have friends like this, people that will gamble on Mexican Womens Tennis if they can win (or most likely lose) some money on the game. It's a crushing addicition that we've normalized in our culture to make it seem like it's just apart of life. It shouldn't be, and children at a young age should be stopped from gambling until they know the horrible outcomes that gambling can cause. I support every effort by regulators to stem out the bad actors in the gambling field in order to stop children from being hooked on this.

I'd like one of you to change my mind, or at least make me think different about gambling. Because as of right now, I have a pretty negative view on it.
You’re saying the truth . Gambling has a lot of negative impacts, and where u live I do see children who are gamblers and I just imagine what their future will be like, cause most of them I know that started living such life as a kid ended up with a miserable life. The worst of it all is that some places will be permitting little children to come in and gamble, when they know that it us very bad,. I wouldn’t blame them,  they just want to make money.

Well the term degenerate is a pretty narrow way to look at it. It's like saying these people are senile where in fact, a lot of them are sharp when it comes to other things aside from gambling. We all have our own personal preferences when it comes to entertainment and there sre just some who gets too deep into gambling. Same as those getting addicted to mobile games or going to bars and drinking. You don't vonsider these people degenrates right? Hope i made sense 😁
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I spend the daily expense by playing gambling? on: May 12, 2019, 05:51:22 AM
Well, as we always say around here, "Spend money that you can afford to lose." So don't gamble using your pocket money. I don't think that it is a wise move. It should be "save before spending" and not "spend before saving." Maybe, some people are big-risk takers but one also have to prioritize. It's not always a win-win situation in gambling. You never know when your luck will run out. It's better to be safe than sorry.
That is 100% right. See everything in gambling is a game of probability and randomness. You might win today but it is no guarantee that you will win everyday to cove your food costs/rent. This is why it is considered as a suicide if you gamble for your life. I think you could have a decent business if you start one. After making the money in the business, you could explore these arenas and adventures.
^ That was right, I think you can spend your money if you have a lot of source in income, in short, you are a businessman. But for sure businessman will not waste their money just for gambling habits where OP said that spending money daily expenses. You should know that you can cover what you've lost once you are in gambling. So, in this situation, it depends upon on your life status. If you are rich enough you can do gamble every day but if your money is only for daily need expenses then you shouldn't do it.

There's already been a lot of discussions about this and what op meant is if you can rely on your gambling gains for your daily expenses. This kind of thinking promotes, or justify, a person's excessive gambling habits. Sometimes it's already a challenge for people to budget their salaries for weekly or monthly expenses. Treating gambling as another source of income will make it really complicated for anyone financially, especially those who earn just enough for themselves and their family.
231  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online Gambling at Real Slot Machines on: May 12, 2019, 05:45:00 AM
I have a few dozen slot machines on occasion. Since I know gamblers, I also know their negative attitude towards online casinos. In this regard, I thought that you can organize a game on real slot machines over the Internet. I tried to connect the game board - it turned out that this problem can be solved. You can play online, on real slot machines and bet Bitcoins or Eth. What do you think about this idea?

I think i've seen quite a few of these online slots on some local casinos so yeah it is possible and it is already being used. Though the oned i saw don't deal with btc or eth but with fiat. You load an online card that you  purchase from the local casino cashier and you input the card information in the slot machine before you play. It's probably going to take some time before we see crypto being utilized like that in a real slot machine.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dice - why do you play in a particular casino? on: May 12, 2019, 04:54:10 AM
Yeah, the speed at which payments are processed is the number one priority for myself as well.
Number one is trust in the team behind it for me and a close second the speed of redraws. If number one is on a doubt i have to worry if high winning bets could be paid.
Maybe that is why more people play on casino, because a lot of it already trustable. And if we bored, we can play other games and we not get it on casual dice gambling site because they only have 1 game.

I don't think there's much issue when it comes to the speed of payments for casinos nowadays, especially crypto casinos. Even back then when i was playing in betcoin.ag a year or two ago, the payment transfers aren't that long to merit concern. Now i've tried a lot of sites playing not just dice but baccarrat and roulette, and the transfers from sites to my wallet at most i think takes just 15 minutes.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fair online casino? on: May 12, 2019, 04:50:04 AM
what makes you trust an online casino?
 Huh Huh

Before anything else, I search for reviews regarding the said crypto casino. I would also check if ever some of my friends has already played in that certain site. After gathering information, I would bravely try it even if I know that it is quite risky especially if you are a first time crypto casino player. I am now playing in this site and lemme share you my early days in this bitcoin casino. I was so nervous before playing in this site good things they have a free play and it's enough for me to buy time for the meantime in order to decide whether to go on with this site or not. After deciding to go further, I have deposited amount on my account and they gave me ample amount of bonus on my first deposit as well as on my second deposit. These bonuses gave me more than enough to have the upper hand in each game I am playing. In addition, they are using bitcoin as their only currency and no other. And now I'm earning more than enough bitcoin to my liking. They also have a good customer service and is approachable that's why I have put majority of my trust in this site.
Playing in a online casino does not have any difference in playing in a real casino because you can play safe and secured in both of them, that is why you can trust online casinos. But there are really some casinos that are scams and fraud, that is why you should be very careful in playing unusual and untrusted sites. If you want to try a trusted online casino i highly suggest for you to play in this crypto casino which it is very safe and secured to play and i didn't see any bad review and negative comments about this site, that is why you can trust this site. It has a lot of famous casino games that you could actually play and enjoy like poker, baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and slots and the best thing about this site is it has live bitcoin casino and live dealers that will give you outstanding gambling experience.
It was this scam and fraud thing in the crypto space in the form of ICO that led ICO to the brink of extinction and people lost their money as well as trust in the new projects in crypto. This is very important to understand that you could be scammed online easily that in a local casino where not only you but hundreds of other gamblers gamble. But there is something called house edge that would stay there regardless of what happens because casinos will run out of business if it’s eliminated.

You don't really expect complete fairness in any casinos. There will always be an advantage in favor of the house just as you've mentioned. And i think gamblers, long time gamblers that is, are well aware of that and can develop certain formulas to cope with those house edges. Though 1 or 2% edge can be considered fair though since they need to have something to continue running the site. Just be wary of those that are sketchy and has high negative reviews.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 10, 2019, 05:47:06 AM
Raptors vs Bucks would be an epic Eastern Finals  Cool
Raptors vs 76ers is tied, we'll see on how they will be playing by game 7.

I'm also eyeing for Raptors vs Bucks, hoping that they'll make it on game 7.

Do you mean Nuggets vs Blazers? If so, look like Blazers will take this game tonight and we will see a game 7 for this 2.

It would be interesting to see how the new eastern conference champs would fare against the warriors in the finals lol. But the three remaining teams in the east, the bucks, the raptors and the sixers, all would be heading for the first time in the finals, if ever, with their recent lineups. I'm curious as to what the ben simmons haters would say if they beat the raptors in the series 😁
235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prophesy has shown up again. Which side would you belong? on: May 08, 2019, 05:14:00 AM
These bitcoin predictions and prophesy has alraedy failed in the past so there is no need to believe in them. Bitcoin is unpredictable and those who are making a prediction or prophesy are simply riding on the present uptrend. Relying on these predictions will only lead to bigger losses in the future. Cryptocurrency investors must learn how to use fundamental analysis and get themeselves always updated on the market so they can find the right time to buy coins.
Very good answer in this topic. We must know how to analyze this market in the long run and only trust ourselves because anyone can predict. I think the uptrend of the market is coming and if you have basic knowledge, you should do it so you can have a better assessment of this market. This is a very good opportunity to make a profit this year and if you learn about this market then you will surely succeed soon if there are clear objectives when investing.

A lot of us who've been dealing with the market for years now already know it's pointless to follow these predictions or let's call it "prophecies". Some of them did happen but that's just mostly coinsidence i think. Anyone can come up with their own claim but their guess is just as good as yours if you know how to do market analysis. People have already grown out of trusting these prophecies at this point in time.
236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to recover when you are down 90% of your portfolio? on: May 07, 2019, 01:41:08 PM
Hey guys, my friends and I were down 90% of our crypto portfolio. We bought at the highs and we bought shitcoins. Now we are still down significantly and i just want to ask if you guys have strategy to recover from this? Cheers!
no other than holding mate. Which is basic and the only common strategy also of some people to survive despite of  the scenario . It's useful actually but must have patience to avoid further losses , and always control your emotions ,stop panicking! in fact all of this thing is only temporary so just relax and keep holding for a while.

The problem is they bought shitcoins. Shitcoins are called such because more often than not they end up without value or you have to wait years before you can break even. Being down 90 percent can be depressing enough if you're holding bitcoin, ethereum or other legitimate alts but being down that much with worthless tokens is a lot worse. Charge it to experience dude and make sure to learn from it.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance traders are making more money than other traders on: May 07, 2019, 01:37:00 PM
Binance for me is the most good exchange platform that i see. So many people like binance because it is the top 1 exchange platform with no fake volume. Because in other exchange lot of is making an fake volume and traders always complaining from it.
Some people  are not seeing all these positive side of Binance, all they see is the monopolistic nature of Binance and complaining what is  not there, while they are complaining, Binance is busy focusing on making their platform better and how they can add more benefit to their existing customers.

I have been using Binance since they got to the market, and not for 1 second have I got any reason to complain abit their service to me, how many complain have I seen in the market about other exchanges? So many of them, now when they say Binance users/traders are making more money, they will start arguing blindly.

Me too. Probably they say this because more efficient traders now prefer binance over other exchanges. I've checked the spreads between binance and cmc and other exchanges and the difference isn't that much. Though it's easier to pick lower ranked alts since binance has a pretty big listing and i've also made quite a lot playing with lower alts like wabi. Top traders choose binance and that's probably why there are more people here earning money.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins labelled a gambling device on: May 07, 2019, 01:25:54 PM
He most likely assumed that Bitcoins are labelled as a gambling device or system due to the progressiveness on how more Casinos are coming to life.
You can see more and more Casinos including the ones in real life providing Bitcoin as a payment option for the gambling currency.
In some parts he's right but not in general where Bitcoin is considered a cryptocurrency for virtual transactions.
because the fact is that bitcoin is very perfect to use as a currency in gambling. more practical than coins in casino, more flexible, and certainly anonymous, making users free to gamble in any country, even though there are restrictions in that country, its natural to labelled like that

I doubt though that that's what warren buffet was pertaining to when he called it a gambling device. It's more of bitcoin not being anchored on any physical asset. There's nothing backing it up aside from speculation and the crypto community. Of course that's what he's going to say lol. All his statements about bitcoin seem to aim in bringing btc down. I just think he doesn't understand it yet or he doesn't really want to.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought some crypto on: May 07, 2019, 12:29:23 PM
Hello Everyone,
I’m a female in my 30’s and when I first heard about bitcoin from Max Keiser on RT in 2009 instead of trying to figure out how to mine the bitcoin, I listened to his advice about gold and bought some coins.
Biggest mistake ever lol!
For the next 9 years I focused on my career and got married. Now I’m divorced and started picking up interests that I had before I was with my awful ex husband. Which include bitcoin. It’s come a long way since 2009.

I feel like this community will give me something bigger to be a part of and I sure hope that cryptocurrency will be around for a long time and I can prove warren buffet wrong!

Here’s my question, my coins are currently on binance. How important is it to put them on the ledger?

How much do you have on binance though? Because if you have like less than 1 full btc or just around that figure, you may just want to play with it and practice trading. If you just plan on investing on your btcs and holding them probably for a few years, then i guess the safest would be to get a hardware wallet. You won't have a hard time looking for suggestions as to what would be a good one. The coins you leave in binance should only be those that you want to keep on moving.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can lost Bitcoins be traced? on: May 07, 2019, 12:19:10 PM
Yes bitcoin can be traced as we've been shown in reports such as this one recently released by ciphertrace: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/

It can be traced as to which wallet address it went to but as to who owns or the location of that wallet address is, i doubt it can be traced unless the owner registered it in a kyc prompt for an exchange or the wallet itself. If not then i don't think there's any use knowing which wallet it went to if you don't know the owner.
