221  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OPEN LETTER to Donald, Patrick & Amir RE: Bitcoinica on: September 27, 2012, 07:54:41 PM
I think tseale and his gang should release intersango guys from their NDA.

For what point? genjix violated the NDA already anyway by leaking those e-mails (not to mention the bitcoinica source code).

If tseale ever accomplishes whatever legal paperwork is necessary to give customer funds back, I'm still curious about how he plans to process bitcoinica deposit claims without the database. I'd like to know if the Intersango guys gave him their progress on claims verification or if they are holding it from him.

It's a damn shame you didn't do so before SR stopped using 1Dky. I am a happy man, because I know for a fact that I wasn't lying to myself, and it would be pretty hard for dooglus to lie to me because the payments are embedded in the blockchain for all eternity.

I only accused dropt of lying, not you or dooglus. The reason I found those analyses lacking is because the experiments only attempted to trace SR coin deposits to 1DKy, without attempting to do the same with MtGox deposits or withdrawals. Testing this alternative hypothesis was necessary, since many of the addresses which feed into 1DKy are within mtgox's closure. So, of my two MtGox withdrawals, one traced back to some coins generated not long ago, and the other was from MtGox's 1LNW "green address". Whereas my SR withdrawal came from 1DKy.

It was the side-by-side comparison which I hadn't seen done, and I was little irritated by that. I was wrong about dropt, so I sent him 25 BTC (he sent me back 12.5. he's a decent dude).
223  Economy / Securities / Re: Unofficial Bitdaytrade deposit claims thread on: September 27, 2012, 07:30:47 PM
I once deposited 6 BTC there (never took a position). I withdrew it the first time other users reported their positions were reset and Alberto said the table was corrupted.

I wonder if there were more coins deposited for trading or more used to by BDT bonds on GLBSE. It was probably never the plan to get a lot of deposits on the bitdaytrade site, rather it was just a prop for him to sell a lot of bonds on GLBSE.
224  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: ★ VESCUDERO's Risk-free Weekly Term deposits at 1.5% ★ [Full capacity] on: September 27, 2012, 07:23:17 PM
Hello happy investors,

Check your wallets bleeping, I have just paid out weekly interests and returned back the original deposits to another bunch of depositors.

The remainder of these deposits will be returned back with due interests on Sunday 30th. As I already announced I will close this successful operation in order for me to spend more time with my own family and keep on investing in other interesting businesses.

I'm staying 'til the end. From what I've seen vescudero is both honest and smart. But I'll let you all know when I get the principal back by the end of the month.

Everything we can see about vescudero (but especially the things we cannot), are signs of a ponzi.

The only reason for him to return all funds now is to come back a couple of months from now and re-open with huge momentum right from the start.

I have seen some post telling that Pirate may not payback before 4 october (don't know why) ...

let's wait ...

did you see those posts telling that pirate will never pay back? we tried to tell you..

I, personally, will just sit back and save my breath/wrath/compromises/whatever for the time when there are actual coins to distribute ;-)

Gonna hold your breath? Good luck with that.

Here's more analysis on 1Dky.

First, here's my mtgox green address withdrawal of 0.4 BTC.
Code:
http://blockchain.info/tx-index/27088624/e7ada838ad28df4921ee7a6ac27981b721687f286ed6fa845c74ac6b924331e4
1LNWw6yCxkUmkhArb2Nf2MPw6vG7u5WG7q - direct ->
1BYhyPtxbnU59NDahJ7DVd8RnwNH1V5D1N 0.4 BTC

1LNWw6yCxkUmkhArb2Nf2MPw6vG7u5WG7q is MtGox's green address.

New withdrawals no longer trace back to 1Dky, since they stopped using that address. It appears their withdrawal hot wallet is filled with approx 50k worth of deposits every day.

Regardless of where new SR deposits are going, the coins from 1Dky had to go somewhere.

Here's my SR withdrawal of 0.6 BTC on Sep 21. Traces back to 1Dky (this still wouldn't have convinced me without dropt's proof of deposit).

I'll "refund" half of that 14BTC held at 13aZs to the first address you listed that was included in the referenced transaction
(1KVc5AaxgHuhqC9GptsBTUNPVKDqHPLFuT).

Transaction sent.  The sending address from SR to 1KVc5 does not appear to be 13aZs, but has first bits of 12vKPJ.    I'm interested to see how/when the coins at 13aZs are handled now.

Ouch. /takes it back and eats hat

25 BTC sent.

You know, I had to google what firebugging even is and it strikes me as really odd that you think I have some sort of motive or reason to generate a bunch of "firebugged" screen shots to prove/disprove some BS on this forum.

1KVc5 is one of my recipient addresses, that 7BTC is safe in my wallet.  Not only that, but I signed a message just for you with that address.  You say you want to get the truth, it's here dangling in front of your face.  Others have also provided suggestive evidence pointing to the exact same conclusion while there's little (if any) evidence indicating the contrary.

I didn't bother to speculate on your motives, that wasn't behind my accusation. It was that the 14 BTC stayed at that address just one hop away seemed too coincidental. My deposits hadn't worked that way, so I was highly skeptical. I had assumed their tumbler would've operated more consistently and thoroughly, but I was wrong.

Thank you for the proof. It definitely cost me (should've only bet 10!), but at least I'm glad to have satisfied, to my own personal standards, who controls 1DKy.
228  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to use 2-factor auth on mtgox, even without a smartphone on: September 24, 2012, 09:04:30 PM
As an alternative to deleting the entry (on computers rather than phones) when you're done, just store the entire GAuth directory on an encrypted volume (e.g. TrueCrypt) and only mount it when you need it.

That's a good idea, but it won't work. The GAuth page/app uses html5 localStorage, so the entry/"secret key" gets saved to the browser's data/cache folder, not to the folder with the GAuth html and javascript files.

You could edit the GAuth javascript file and replace the hardcoded example alice@google.com. Then it would be contained in the Gauth folder.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: September 24, 2012, 04:15:33 PM
I think there's a good chance 3 months from now the price is lower than it is now.

I think there's a low chance of that being the case. But I guess we'll see.

proudhon is a broken clock. I'm not as confident now as I was at $5, but there are some similarities.

Ideally, we'll see more developments to generate positive sentiment. The two most important are legit services for margin trading and legit ASIC mining hardware.

Oh ffs guys. Getting on SR is DEAD SIMPLE. If you don't believe dooglus' analysis or my post from PAGE 4 OF THIS THREAD then do your own goddamn experiment and post the results Roll Eyes

Exactly, if you don't believe dropt, why not just check the SR yourself?

I made a withdrawal from SR myself just the other day, and posted the address here. That's the easy part.

Now I (or someone) will have to find the time to compile znort's tool and do the taint analysis.

dropt didn't do that. He firebugged a screenshot. (I could be wrong here. up to him to prove it.)

I'm interested in actual truth about 1Dky. not endless banter "its pirate!" or "its SR!". and not fake screenshots.

Nice try. Of course it doesn't come from 13aZs, because that's not your address!

I said you have to send a transaction from 1KVc5. That would prove its yours, and it should be yours since you showed a 1BTC deposit in your wallet, and that was one of the inputs for that 1BTC deposit to 13aZs!

I can make a withdrawal to 1KVc5 as well. Now I feel bad that you just lost control of 7 BTC.

EDIT: if 1KVc5 is actually your address, as your screenshot implied, that 7 BTC should be in your wallet now.
233  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: MT.Gox account hacked - lost 2k USD - MT.GOX will not explain how. on: September 24, 2012, 04:00:02 AM
Use 2-factor to help prevent this from happening to YOU. Its not hard, see my guide here.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1DkyBEKt5S2GDtv7aQw6rQepAvnsRyHoYM on: September 24, 2012, 03:47:43 AM
13aZs is my current SR address.  If I refund from there it will go to whatever address I specify.  I have no direct control of this address short of what SR allows.

Here, this should be easier.

Specify to which address you will "refund" some of the 14 BTC and how much. Then do it.

25 BTC says you can't.
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1DkyBEKt5S2GDtv7aQw6rQepAvnsRyHoYM on: September 24, 2012, 03:42:29 AM

This is a fake screenshot (firebugged / photoshopped).

No, no it isn't.  You're welcome to all the anecdotal evidence you want pointing to the contrary though.  It's not going to change the fact that 1Dky is/was a SR storage address.

Anecdotal evidence? You asked what you could do to prove.

Take your screen shot of that 1 BTC deposit on Aug 6. Now take the transaction you were looking at when you mocked up that screenshot.

Prove that you control any of the other addresses involved in that transaction.
1KVc5AaxgHuhqC9GptsBTUNPVKDqHPLFuT
1AbWGoMfZaMtCiCTN92Lv7zU9L3TojmYgo
or the change address
16Wc6UL5RsR9VurTKExXCjcTWEyKqFCDxU

You can't prove you control those with a screenshot. You have to announce ahead of time how much you will send and to which address, and it must come from one of those addresses.

Can you do that? 25 BTC says you can't. Is that enough for your trouble?
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: September 24, 2012, 03:11:58 AM
Yeah, no.  I don't think we're likely to see a market cap of $1,000,000,000 in 2 years let alone 10x that.  If bitcoin survives long enough, maybe in a decade.  The market depth is still too weak for us to be through with single digits yet, and I'm guessing we'll be taking another deep dive into single digits during the next year.

2013/04/14 huh? why that exact date?
237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: September 23, 2012, 03:29:09 PM
Either it goes from here to the top, or we're facing a major crash.
I agree with Enky: http://btctrading.wordpress.com/2012/09/23/short-term-update-mtgox-daily-chart-7/

I don't think its time yet, too soon since the crash from $15. The failure to break $12.7 is reminiscent of the failure to break $5.5 back in mid-march. Still expecting further consolidation, and $10 is still the new $5.

Some more news or product from BFL could be the next trigger. Didn't the rise from $5 start around when their FPGA rigs started shipping?

p.s. another enky reader! I remember him from the forums here early last year..

I made three withdrawals last night. 1) 0.4 BTC from MtGox green address. 2) 0.5 BTC from MtGox (regular withdrawal). 3) 0.6 BTC from SR.

All three transactions to 1BYhyPtxbnU59NDahJ7DVd8RnwNH1V5D1N. (afterwards, I realized it would have been better to do it to three separate addresses. derp).

I had troubles compiling Boost to use znort's analysis tool, and I don't have the time right now to fiddle with makefile paths and flags. I had wanted to use it to compare taint/hops back to 1Dky, maybe someone else can.
240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone's got some coins to move... on: September 23, 2012, 01:13:49 AM
I suspect that's the change for SR withdrawals. I made a withdrawal last night from SR, of 0.6 BTC to 1BYhyPtxbnU59NDahJ7DVd8RnwNH1V5D1N, and the change was some 45.3k BTC.
