221  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: December 23, 2015, 02:11:36 PM
Probably drugs... Drugs are the craziest thing you can buy with any currency. In other words, it's crazy to buy drugs.

Yeah i'd tell you you were crazy if you bought some meth or some smack.  But if you can get good bud or some good shrooms for bitcoins, thats a wise investment. Oh wait you were talking about drugs, yes buying drugs is crazy.
222  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: December 23, 2015, 02:05:01 PM
I'm not sure you're right there, no-one can even prove Jesus ever existed, there is no physical evidence or records or documents mentioning him before 100CE.
Is that because he got magically hoovered up to valhalla and a team of men in black rappeled down out of nowhere and erased everyones memories?

Also the idea that the bible is older than previously thought is entirely possible.  The bible as we know it is a collection of different books and texts, which have had the shit edited out of them.  Some of the myths are copied from earlier mystical traditions.  As to the idea that any parts of the bible are older than about 10,000 years are silly.  It was only about 10,000 years ago that humans domesticated wheat and were able to farm more food than they could eat.  I doubt anyone would have time to learn to read and write, then write stories about their imaginary friend. lol.

Gladly, my family won a ticket out of England about 200 years ago for stealing a loaf of bread.  I hope millions of former colonials from India, Pakistan and wherever else come and take your jobs, take your money then fuck off back to somewhere nicer than England... I doubt it though, because they can make the best curry, and its all you bloody poms eat these days anyway.

Well it wasnt my family that declared Terra Nullus, that was back in Pommey land.  Also one of my ancestors was the sole remaining survivor of the Burke and Wills expedition, who survived off of the kindness of aborigines, so I highly doubt he killed any.
Meanwhile, your family in England probably own a few slaves, who in a couple of centuries are coming to take your bread man, the pakis are comingggggggggggggggggggg

I could not commit even .0000001 to an investment that earns 110% in 75 hours.  I don't like giving my money away to assholes.

I haven't seen anything like this before, great idea  Smiley

A couple of small suggestions: Could you put say 20% of what are you are putting towards the prize in the current round towards the next?  This will help build the next pot for the next one, allowing perhaps bigger jackpots maybe.
Also imo, a definite date for draws should be set, there doesnt feel like theres any rush to get tickets.  A definite date for the draw is also important bc/, say you set the jackpot monthly, after 6 months there have been 6 jackpots, and people will feel sure that yes, this is a real lottery and yes I stand a chance of winning money.  I don't think people are going to care about the amount of money available to be won in a free lottery, the tickets are free after all and this is a new lottery!
Obviously, with more users, you can pay a higher jackpot.
227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: December 23, 2015, 03:28:41 AM
My point is that a literal reading of any ancient text, as a command from da 'almighty, is dangerous for everyone.  For instance, in Israel fundamentalists believe that they have a right to occupy certain places, due to a literal reading of an ancient text.
This in itself may not be considered violent, but one does not meerly park the RV in such an area and raise their fundamentalist kids there, they defend that land with violence if necessary and displace other residents of the land.  What do you think the original residents of the area are going to do?

Quote
First, fundamentalists do not commonly advocate violence.
Yeah I guess I made a bit of broad, sweeping statement there.
But here's a fun game, name one fundamentalist group that doesn't advocate violence of some sort!
228  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: December 23, 2015, 02:53:46 AM
You're wrong, we (the west) have nothing to fear from muslims.  It's fundamentalists of any religion that you have a right to be concerned about.  Whether it be ISIS in the Middle East and North Africa, Christians in Uganda, Buddhists in Thailand and Burma, Sikhs in the Punjab.  The two things that these groups all have in common:
1.They advocate literal interpretations of religious writings (fundamentalism).
2.They use violence (murder, rape, etc).

Lets not do ISIS Daesh's work for them, they want to drive a wedge between Western muslims and everyone else living in the West.  This sort of foolish discussion brings out the worst racists and the biggest idiots, stay united people.

you think gambling id good way to earn or just fun?
Thanks

over 100 btc in gambling, including altcoin trading and sports betting, damn i was good at sports betting but after i lost over 75 btc on altcoin trading in 2 years, i was sad so i bet 25 btc on andy murray vs wawrinka in final tour, and lost the money, luckily my salary is decent so i can recover soon.
sorry for loss
i also have lost more than 70btc in binary option trading 10 more btc on primedice ,any way to stop betting??
just employ self control, there is nothing in this world forcing you to keep betting other than your addiction. just take the matter into your won hands and block the site you bet on forever, just stop using the computer if you have to.

Hey I feel for you guys with this addiction!  There are many gambling support sites, here is one: gamblershelp.com.au‎ ... Also one of my mates paid about $100 for hypnotism, hasnt gambled since!
But remember, as a mental illness, gambling addiction needs to be treated! It will get worse, do something now.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are coins like Namecoin and Peercoin so cheap? on: December 22, 2015, 11:57:29 PM
I'd second third Fourth the above information... Altcoins generally don't have enough application, which causes them to have reduced liquidity, which in turn can make them virtually useless.

Bitcoin is currently around $600 AUD.  But with Dashcoin and Peercoin both above $1AUD, either of these could be the next big currency... if they find a real use:
I have seen litecoin p2p lenders, casinos, auction sites, ad networks, etc all trading with litecoin.  I understand litecoin is faster than bitcoin, it's also one of the oldest alts.  So I can see a real use for litecoin.
Another aspect which you may not have thought of is this - bitcoin's popularity partly comes down to the amount of drug-dealers who accept it for payment.  Massive amounts of $ get pumped into bitcoin from all different currencies thanks to Dr.ugs.  If a currency can improve on anonymity, and thus security for dealers, the currency may experience extra patronage from this factor alone.

232  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How do you get free power? on: December 22, 2015, 11:11:56 PM
I don't imagine you will find much free power around... How is your search going for free bitcoins?

I know that in Australia, you can now lease solar panels,  perhaps this could be the sort of solution you are looking for.  I have also seen offers like 60 months interest free, on solar panels.  Would 5 years be enough free energy to pay off the panels?
Despite all that, i doubt whether it would be worth it $wise (even with free power), I mean there are now mining companies listed on the ASX, who do nothing but mine.  Unless you're planning on playing for real money, probs best not to bother!

Probably 1000+, if invested now. At double digit growth.  But hedge your BTCets a bit and buy some other currencies with the money as well.  My crystal ball doesnt predict prices for 5 years in the future.

This was using solar power for Bitcoin mining.

Yeah, I saw a miner who uses free energy from a hydro-electric dam in Norway, and they probably dont need air-conditioning... just pop a window and its suddenly 0degrees!

As for mining in general, you need to get onto that guy who made the quantum computer.  He's clearly wasting his time with the mysteries of time and space.  If you could convince him to partner with you mining, you could clear the rest of the blocks by tea time.

Perhaps when you buy ebay items provide negative feedback "seller does not accept bitcoin" , maybe Eeebs will get the message?  Roll Eyes
