221  Economy / Currency exchange / Greendot Moneypak for BTC on: June 25, 2011, 03:23:56 AM
I have a Greendot Moneypak for $40.36, looking to buy BTC with it. I'm listed multiple times in the Honest Trader's Thread, would prefer to do the transaction with someone who is in that thread as well.

I figured I just got done paying you back so I didn't want to ask for another loan so quick XD

But yeah man, that'd be awesome if you could kick another loan my way Cheesy

Ready to receive!

I just downloaded this. When I open the application the cmd window just opens for a split second then closes. What did I do wrong?

Wow
233  Economy / Marketplace / [LOAN - CLOSED] 22BTC will pay back 25-28BTC on: May 10, 2011, 03:35:29 AM
EDIT: Temporarily Closed - Made this topic when BTCs were $3.85. Price just jumped to $4.99. I don't want to be loaned anything until prices stabilize somewhat and I can recalculate everything. FML Reopened.   CLOSED  BTC amounts readjusted.

Looking for a 22BTC loan, I will pay back 25BTC(about $15 USD interest) at the beginning of next month. I get paid on the 30th.  I will cash ~$230 into BTCs using bitcoinexchange or anyone listed in the honest traders thread who will trade BTCs for a moneypak. Plus I'll be running my miner all month.

I'm listed three times in the honest traders thread(Twice for loans similar to this one, once for a sell): http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484.0

(Search my username while in the thread): CryptikEnigma

I always pay off my debts as specified.

If for some reason I am not able to pay you by June 2nd, I will have my miner payout directly to your wallet until 28BTC(instead of 25BTC) is paid.

Example: During the course of my last loan BTC price jumped from .77 cents to $2.75, so instead of getting ~60BTC like I was expecting from Bitcoin4Cash I got ~25BTC(took over two weeks for the B4C transaction -.-). Took me a few extra days but I did pay off 60BTC on a 51BTC loan.(The upside to that was the guy who loaned me the BTCs more than doubled his money in terms of dollars off of that loan)

My bitcoin address is: 1PksKSxdRKF4qqjdD7dZE9rEWQe9CRTJu

I always check my messages here at least once a day. Also, you can PM me and I will give you my IM and e-mail upon request. I'm very easy to get a hold of.

(also, not sure if this counts as buying or selling or if this topic is indeed placed in the right place)
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin will visit the CIA on: April 28, 2011, 09:51:01 PM

I wouldn't be too surprised if, instead of a 3,000USD cheque, Gavin would receive some nice bracelets once he arrives there:

Not if they openly approached him.  If they weren't going to play nice, they wouldn't have bothered with a ruse.  Like I said, openly inviting him to speak and offering him a speaker's fee tells me that they intend to play nice.  It's a very bullish signal.

You've obviously never heard of companies catching hackers by offering them jobs.

It goes like this:

*hacker is messing with a company*

Company: Hey wow thats impressive why don't you come on over for a job interview?

*hacker goes and gets arrested*

I think Valve tried to do it recently.....yup found the article. FBI helped set it up.

Undecided

Probably the beginning of the end of Bitcoin as we know it IMO. It continuing to stay anonymous now is almost certainly not going to happen.

The CIA is obviously aware of Bitcoin already, otherwise they would not have contacted Gavin.

What do you fear that they will do, exactly, to make Bitcoin less anonymous?

Don't know. But they're just not going to let it go and say 'Oh yeah sounds good continue operating your competing anonymous currency the way it is, good luck!'

You are completely naive if you think that. Whatever changes after this because of the CIA. It won't be anything we like.

236  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of honest traders. on: April 28, 2011, 04:05:26 AM
+1 for Madhatter I guess

took almost three weeks to get payment, I am completely BAFFLED as to how it would take almost three weeks for a letter to get from WA(which is bordering with Canada) to Canada. I sent letters to my grandparents in Scotland in half the time.

238  Other / Off-topic / New alternative news site: End The Lie on: April 24, 2011, 12:52:28 AM
My buddy from another forum launched this website to compete with the Zeitgeist movement and Infowars.com, both of which he despises, yet he largely agrees with their main platform(End the Fed, End the Wars, etc). Personally I'm an Alex Jones(Infowars.com) fan, but my friend takes issue with some of Alex's sponsors. I've written a few articles for the site but 99.9% of the work has been done by my buddy.

Praises and criticism are welcome.

239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the absolute fastest way of turning cash into BTCs? on: April 23, 2011, 08:42:43 PM

I'm aware that services like this exist like Bitcoin2Cash and Bitcoin4cash. But Bitcoin4cash takes an UNGODLY amount of time(Canada needs to step up their mail service something two-three weeks to receive a letter is completely outrageous), is Bitcoin2Cash US based(therefore it should only take 3-4 days for US to US cash mail transfer)?
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ATTN: People who have sucessfully used bitcoin4cash on: April 23, 2011, 08:38:06 PM
I did a transaction that took a while too. 3 weeks iirc. Btc had appreciated significantly and locked in price was honored.

Yeah I didn't lock in my price. So I'm pretty unhappy right now. When I mailed the cash out BTC were worth $0.77. Now almost two weeks later. $1.60 and steadily rising.

I hate my life.
