Im all for holding my coins and using to buy stuff with I don't have a problem with that. but until there is mass adoption of bitcoin and I can go to my local gas station and fill up or pay my mortgage with it I will sell my bitcoin for USD because having bitcoins sitting in a wallet aint going to do me no good when the bank shows up and takes my house for having not paid them in USD.

Ugg. I cave. ill be watching this subforum for the next buy. plus avalons seem to have blocks raining down on them for kanos pool and I want to be in on that acclaim list..lol

why dont you want the miner detected? you mining somewhere you shouldnt be?
yes that would work. ethernet cable from antminer to that unit then that connects to the wifi. however the network will still be able to tell that something is connected to it via wifi.
if you know what IP you can use set it to static and rename the unit to be called something else ie xbox.

miners = hardware irrelevant of which algo a specific miner runs, they ALL require a PSU and from experience ALL have heat issues, therefore it is a broad coverage of modifying power feeds for all miners and belongs under hardware :/ thats what you think while the staff and the structure off boards says different: we are doomed, what now?? anybody with a hardware issue looking for info to cure would look under hardware not under altcoins, crypto is doomed if this is the mentality the mass's will face, thanks for agreeing with me, as for what now, go out and play with our only toy of childhood, that little thing we call "outside" maybe? read your post. it doesnt make sense. your logic is flawed. Anybody that is having a hardware issue with overheating litecoin miners. where is the first place they would go to? the bitcoin forum or litecoin? sorry to say but your "awesome" fix only really applies to litecoin miners where the psu is housed inside the unit. all the new bitcoin miners use external psus and dont have to worry about the heat generated from the psu as they are external. therefore you post only applies to the altcoin section and thus has been placed in the correct section quit bitching. take your bought account and go back to the litecoin forum where people actually care about fixing scrypt miners that are outdated. |

generally the best you can get is a batch range. the earlier batchs had different hash rates where as anything from 8+ is all 4.73. on top of the miner it will show the hash rate. match that to the chart below.  |

i run bfg miner with a couple blades plugged into a hub. this allows me to use the same computer for cgminer to control some of my gekko sticks.

my question is why would you even post in a bitcoin forum about litecoin hardware?
if i had a problem with my litecoin miner i would go to the litecoin forum. kind of like saying my car has a misfire so im going to take it get an alignment.
secondly your "solution" that you finally cracked. the heat solution problem was solved long ago. you remove the psu from the case and use psu cables vs plugging right into the psu and flip the fans around to blow into the miner instead of drawing heat out.

is the hash rate for rentals not updating correctly?
current share rate shows 10th but hash rate is only showing 2th.
How long have you been running the 10TH? It takes a couple of hours for the Hash Rate Column to show what you expect. It is a longer average... was about 30 mins when i posted. ill let it run for a bit longer and see what the rate goes to. the 5.36% invalid doesnt reflect well for the rental may just cancel and try again later. |

This guy is spending 5 BTC per day for a 10THs rental...He could buy 2 Avalon6's per day with that much BTC! That is 0.5000 BTC/TH/Day...I hope it's not anyone here on kano...if it is, delete that order ASAP!!  maybe he is mining a altcoin that just started and is speculating a spike in price once more people mine the coin but that price is crazy what I don't get is why don't they just do a fixed order. no reason to spend .5 when you can spend .003 ish i have no idea what fixed does vs standard cause im new to nicehash im renting right now on there vs my normal mining rig rental site where i rent fixed is 1 price from start the finish. so if you start the order and it says you pay .0034 you pay that. where as standard you can raise and lower the price depending on the current market. so you could start your order at .0031. if it sits around and doesn't start you can raise it. so some people start off at current value say .0038 and slowly lower and ride out the lower price till they drop off then raise it again. so you can turn a 24hr rental into 30ish if you play the rise/lower game correct. |

and here I thought you couldn't cheat in maths.
People can do crazy stuff sometimes. I just don't get what their motive was...it just doesn't make sense. They were not making anything extra by doing this...if anything they were hurting their own bottom line each time they withheld a block. idk, we can only speculate what motive was. its not like they are going to get on here and admit to being dirty and why they did it. in cases like this this is where you need regulation so they can be prosecuted for siphoning money from the pool. |
