221  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BIPS, Payment Service Provider (PSP) for Merchants on: November 19, 2013, 03:43:10 PM
Would also like an update.  This has been a very long outage during a period when I'm sure a lot of us would like to be able to access our coins.

226  Economy / Goods / Collector grade interlocking puzzles - BTC special! on: November 14, 2013, 11:19:59 PM
Hi guys!  I make very high end interlocking puzzles out of fine and exotic hardwoods.  These are of VERY high quality, with tolerances in the thousandths of an inch.

Here are a couple examples:

These make great gifts and display very well for collectors.  I accept BTC as payment, and would like to give a special price to anyone paying with Bitcoins.  All orders will receive a 10% discount, and any order totaling over 1 BTC will receive free shipping.

My site can be viewed here:
http://www.cubicdissection.com/test/catalog/index.php

Some items are sold out, but there are still plenty of very difficult and tricky puzzles to be had.

Thanks and happy puzzling!

Eric

P.S. Be sure to check out the riddle thread where I have donated a puzzle as part of the prize:

Apologies Kris; I assumed that the company had gone out of business completely.  I emailed them and they transferred my balance to a new wallet very quickly.  All is well here Smiley

WTF?  I think of BTC as a long-term investment, so I don't check my account very often.  I go to log in today and find the site down.  Now you tell me that because I missed a two week window, my BTC is gone?  Why didn't you send an email notification?

This is completely unacceptable.  Please contact me to restore my balance to another wallet.
229  Economy / Goods / Collector-grade interlocking puzzles / puzzle boxes for sale on: December 12, 2012, 09:12:39 PM
Hi, I'm Eric Fuller and I have been making and selling high-end interlocking puzzles and puzzle boxes for about 9 years now.  My website is www.cubicdissection.com, and I've recently started accepting Bitcoins on it.

At the moment nearly everything is sold out...I have a lot of demand for my work and items tend to sell out quickly.  If you're interested in future offerings, just hit up the contact form and ask to be added to the notification list.  I'm working on improving availability, and plan on launching a line of always-in-stock puzzles next summer.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself as a merchant standing behind Bitcoin!  Best wishes to all of you!

I'm an artist, I sell high end wooden puzzles and puzzle boxes at my website for the past 9 years:

www.cubicdissection.com

Implementing BTC payment as soon as I shake out the technical hurdles.  Probably will go fairly low tech, using the same approach as check/money order purchases and posting my wallet address for the purchaser (90%+ of my business is repeat, so they trust me).  Having a hard time finding an otherwise well-integrated OsCommerce solution for it  Undecided
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Accepting BTC on my website on: December 10, 2012, 10:32:27 PM
Hello folks!

I'm an artist had have been selling all my work online the past 10 years or so.  Right now I accept Paypal and have a merchant account for credit cards.  I'd like to accept BTC as well.

The site runs OSCommerce to keep track of inventory and fulfill orders.  This is important because my work sells out very quickly, and accurately tracking inventory in real-time is critical so I do not oversell.

I've been looking at the various sites which offer to let you accept funds with BTC.  Walletbit seemed to be the only ones with an OsCommerce plugin already written.  However, as I learn more about BTC, it seems like if someone does not have a Walletbit account, they will have to create one to do business with me.  Which makes it seem much like they are paying with walletbit than with BTC...i.e. the difference between credit cards (direct transfer of funds) and paypal (must create account, separate balances, etc).

From my understanding, if I want to accept BTC payments directly from BTC users I will need to create a separate wallet for each transaction.  Is that correct?  If so, are there any OsCommerce compatible solutions out there yet?

Thanks in advance...
