221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 10, 2023, 01:26:57 PM

Regarding the hype, well Lebron didn't get his championship too in the first 8 years of his career. He even needs to fly to Miami Heat just to partner with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to claim that first ring of him.
The future is not written yet, there will be lots of improvements that will happen, and how I wish I could see the San Antonio Spurs being back on the map again as a playoff and championship contender. I bet Coach Pops will smile one more time once that happens.  Wink

We're not discussing whether Wemby will win a championship, as that's too high of an expectation. We're talking about whether Wemby will be able to perform as expected, like a genuine NBA star. I have doubts that he will even win the Rookie of the Year award. No disrespect intended, but I see some weaknesses in him that opposing teams could exploit, limiting his impact. It's important to remember that the summer league is very different from the regular season.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 10, 2023, 12:34:01 PM
I have been thinking about trading in Bitcoin for quite some time now. I have been involved with Bitcoin for a long time but am still thinking about investing here. I used to run DPS in bank for 30 dollars per month for 5 years, this DPS will complete 5 years this month. I'll get roughly $1800, I don't think it's much of a savings to keep that money in the bank. Bangladesh is suffering from severe dollar crisis due to which many banks are likely to go bankrupt. The names of those banks have not yet been published by any mass media. Because of the economic condition of Bangladesh, I want to invest my money in Bitcoin. I still don't understand if my decision is right, please let me know your opinion
Pursue your decision because that’s the best thing to do when fiat is struggling to achieve its high value. However, my only advice is to never put money in an investment that you cannot manage to lose because once it’s lose, it will always be considered a permanent loss. That is why only invest at a small amount at first and once your principal amount has compounded, then start to adjust and increase your position to achieve higher returns.
223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: July 09, 2023, 09:59:12 PM
Regrets are part in our daily life. That is one effective way to improve our decision making as we will realize that one choice is better than the other one. And while a lot of us here have regrets from missing opportunities to invest, but let’s not forget that it’s not the end yet since we will have new opportunities to gain and by this time, taking advantage of them will always be our priority. However, regrets are meant to let go and not to be kept, so one can move forward and make new choices that will provide a better conclusion.
224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Basic Crypto Terminologies Everyone Should Know - Let Me Know Your Score on: July 09, 2023, 09:35:01 PM
Apart from the likes of "what is bitcoin", "how to trade", and "how to earn merits", this is probably one of the most redundant topics ever created lmao.
Exactly. But it’s not surprising anymore as we often have newbies entering the forum so they will ask the questions again and again even if we are tired answering of it. Nevertheless, these terminologies are quite helpful but for me, I don’t think we’ll put high consideration on forcing yourself to learn from it since we will get used to it and be familiar about it once we stay long term in the forum.
225  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 09, 2023, 08:48:00 PM
I believe those people who only invest in luxury watch have a lot of spare money that they can easily spend it even in things that are less useful in reality. It’s less useful because eventually, the market will develop new luxury items in the future and those would be better and certainly more expensive than what you had, so it’s value might seem to depreciate as time goes by. However with bitcoin, regardless if it’s price volatility, it’s a certain fact that bitcoin will be more costly and expensive in the future, hence those who bought at its lower price might definitely sell them and gain huge profits. That’s the best thing about bitcoin, and you will never be in a loss as long as you have the patience to hold bitcoin as your long term investment.
226  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it nomal for BLACKJACK.FUN to investigate for more than 6 months?(resolved) on: July 09, 2023, 12:33:59 PM
Hey, You are still talking about the 6 months where the case is already solved in around 20 days maybe. Or you are just posting here to meet your signature campaign posts?

The OP mentioned that, according to 'they'—presumably the support team—it could sometimes take 6 months or even longer. If you'd like, I can provide a screenshot for you to check because it's just right in the OP. However, it's possible that the thread title is misleading to posters who do not fully comprehend what the OP posted, leading them to draw their own conclusions right away.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: July 09, 2023, 11:42:06 AM
When two Mexican fighters face each other, it often leads to highly entertaining fights. Therefore, I have high expectations that this upcoming match will not disappoint the fans, whether they are watching at the venue or through pay-per-view (PPV) if available. Currently, Valdez is considered the slight favorite, but Emanuel Navarrete's record is also quite impressive, boasting 37 wins, 31 of which were by knockout.

https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/602423

You're right there, And it looks like I can see that the chance for navarette to subdue the opponent for just a few minutes is quite high because his body when he fights is like steel as if he doesn't feel pain.
And his fist when he hits the opponent is for sure as if his opponent has received an iron hit, that's what I foresee will happen like the opponents he knocked down before. So that's a pretty good fight and it's exciting to be honest.

That's right. With 37 wins, including 31 wins by knockout, it's clear how strong Navarrete is. So, even though Valdez may be considered the favorite, Navarrete will undoubtedly pose a significant threat. He is not afraid to attack and has a strong desire to knock out his opponents.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Knowledgeable before Bitcoin investment is very Good on: July 08, 2023, 09:38:19 PM
If you set your purpose to invest and reap maximum profits, then being highly known is certainly a must so you will know how to reduce the risk of losing your investment, and the risk of losing your capital. However, that is just the beginning, with knowledge you should start developing your own knowledge and strategies, and mastery of them will always depend based on your various experiences. If you do them consistently and with a right attitude, bitcoin investment will never end as failure but a big success.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 08, 2023, 12:56:34 PM

It's just one game, and it has already shown how overrated he is. His poor shooting is very evident, and what will happen when the regular season starts? I think Wemby's season is not going to be easy. So for those who are thinking of betting on him to win the ROY (Rookie of the Year), I guess you have to think twice because thus far, he has not impressed us yet.

Yeah it's just one game, a summer league game, he has a lot of pressure being the greatest prospect next to LeBron and yeah he had a poor shooting night. However, if you look at his game, he actually made an impact both offensively and defensively. He just still needs to adapt to the game of NBA. I won't say he's overrated, because he had shown us his ability is one of a kind for 7 foot guy. I can't wait for the regular season and see if he really lives up to the hype, If he can win the ROTY. But I know he will eventually become better and better. He already have the skill and he only needs to develop, hopefully without a major injury he'll be a future hall of famer.

He is too hyped, but in reality, there's no player in the NBA who is over 7 ft in height that is very dominant, especially with a build like Wemby's. I guess he needs to improve his physique because his height alone is not enough to win. This is the league for the big boys, and he has to understand that. I suppose the Spurs see something special in Wemby because they can develop him, without expecting him to be great in his first season.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 08, 2023, 11:58:40 AM

Nevertheless, Fulton is a very different bread of champion, I mean he held 2 belts already and defeated a great challenger in Brandon Figueroa. So it will be a big test for him to travel to Japan and challenge their home town hero in Inoue. So expecting to be a great fight between this two great champion.

We know that, but how come he is still the underdog despite his achievements? Perhaps people don't see him as an impressive fighter or at the same level as Inoue. Despite Inoue being the challenger, he remains the heavy favorite to win the fight. If we base it on their records, maybe Fulton is truly competitive. However, once they are in the ring, things can be different.
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one of this is important most? on: July 07, 2023, 09:56:38 PM
I have been thing of this thread for a while now and I have checked a little if there's any but I haven't seen any of it , so a beginning to ask if the post is not quality enough to be posted on this forum or if my research wasn't well searched.
The illustration of this topic is kinda common these days on the forum and the new comers (brawn new and newbies) I don't know if other top ranked users make such mistakes, some of these users post things thinking they can be merited but forgotten about there reputation on the forum, some of these users don't know that their reputation is more important than there ranked on the forum, so it keeps me wondering about merits and reputation which one of this is more important in the forum?.
Well, if you don’t create a good reputation in the forum, then most likely you will never receive any merit. Merits are earned not only because of your high quality post but also because you have been a great model in the forum especially if you have been showing positivity all over. So my choice is that reputation first before anything else. And the only thing that keeps you stay in the forum is having a good reputation, otherwise you’ll be banned permanently if you show rudeness to your co-active members.
232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 07, 2023, 09:16:26 PM
These factors are always the basics when investing. You cannot invest on a certain thing if you don’t have an idea about it and how to make it work so you need to acquire adequate knowledge first so you can also understand your investment, and the purpose why you are investing in the first place. Then once you have gained your knowledge, develop your good attitudes towards investing. Knowledge without the right attitude will always be futile. And lastly, you have to be consistent on what your are doing. Keep learning everyday and always be creative and hardworking as that will definitely turn your investments into a success and progressive one.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 07, 2023, 08:59:55 PM
Those online loan sharks are pretty dangerous and people really need to stay away from them. In my country, these online loan services provide loans to people who are in need of money by advertising their services all around pretending they are doing a great thing and they don't ask for a lot of money, but the reality is different, they have very high-interest rates that keep increasing with a significant pace if you get late for the repayment.

Basically, one should avoid any kind of loan unless they are 100% sure that they can repay it on time, because if you can't repay the loan, you will be compelled to take another loan to pay the first one, and that series continues and you might end up getting in great trouble that you might not be able to come out from.
Having offline and online loans for long term will certainly bring no good in your life. Yes, you maybe benefiting at first and used the money according to your means, but when it’s time to repay it and suddenly your income has been going bad, then that’s the start of your problem. You will never pay your first loan without compelling yourself to apply for another loan. That cycle will keep on repeating until you find yourself not having anymore to earn or save. One thing that we should avoid doing while we can still manage our finances.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: July 07, 2023, 08:17:17 PM
Before I learn about Bitcoin I never like the idea of forcing someone to do something and I could gladly the decentralized Bitcoin which technically gives liberation is one of the reasons why I like BTC because it define something I totally believe right from my teenage age till now.
Having that said, we are in 21 century and it's not difficult to know that fiat currency is losing its credibility so people that didn't see Bitcoin as the best alternative should be forced especially now that Trillion and Billion investment companies are interested in filing for BTC ETF.
People will never actually learned if they are forced to do it. It’s always our own willingness to learn at its right timing. However, with how bitcoin is being the talk in the internet, there’s no need to force the people to learn about it because the fact that we are born with human greed, we always want to have a huge income, then bitcoin has granted it a lot of times especially with its exaggerating write ups and videos found online. At the end of the day, if you want to be aware and gain maximum insights about bitcoin, then have your own diligence to study and comprehend its thoughts.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 07, 2023, 01:57:48 PM
2 years ago after fighting both, Porter mentioned that Crawford is the better fighter and is the best of the division without a doubt. But he is right, at this stage of their careers, Crawford's reflexes, strength, and mobility are not the same as some years ago which would be beneficial for Spence's close-quarters volume punches.

May I know what is your basis for saying that Crawford is not the same anymore? In my opinion, he is not the same because I believe he has improved as a boxer. He is still at his prime now, and I haven't seen a fight where he struggles. I know both fighters are different, but the quickness of Crawford is going to be his advantage here. In terms of power, both are KO artists, so there's no one who has an advantage in that area.
236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The exit plan on: July 06, 2023, 04:05:00 PM
My exit plan, if we can call it that, is partial. In the same way that I continue to accumulate bitcoin little by little, in the next cycle I will sell part of what I have when we are in the middle of the bull market, beyond $100,000. Even if I had accumulated an amount of bitcoin that I considered sufficient and did not want to buy more, I would sell small parts of my stash at certain times and keep the rest, as I expect bitcoin to continue to rise in value for a long time.

I would not totally say an exit plan because the fact that I can still see opportunities to make profits by buying low and selling high right after I made my prior profits, then most likely I will just stay in the market and continue to maximize my portfolio with bitcoin investment. I guess a lot of investors will prefer doing that than just leave the market instantly when it’s not in good shape anymore.

238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2023, 07:37:37 AM
The new rule started to be applied in the NBA summer league.
The first flopping penalty was given to the Golden State Warriors in the Sacramento Kings vs Golden State Warriors game played last night.

You can watch from the link below.
https://twitter.com/herseynba/status/1676577174881443840
It got me confused why it has to be called when they've got the ball possession for the 2nd time around not until I was able to read the rule that's also posted on this thread earlier.
Yes that 1 FT + ball possession rule was confusing and I already said it before that it needs more clarification. It seems the NBA refs are not following that and just awarding FT as you can also see on the Grizzlies - Thunder game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsEORWR0iAo It also looks like selling a contact can be ruled as a flop and not just the no-hit.
Not everything that happens on the court will be noticed by the referees. Their calls are based on what they see, and that was evident in the game between the Warriors and Kings. It's good to see that there are heavy penalties being enforced for actions like flopping. Flopping truly diminishes the enjoyment of basketball and has unfortunately become a part of some players' strategies, which is unacceptable.

Timberwolves agree to 5-year extension with Anthony Edwards
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37953985/timberwolves-agree-5-year-extension-anthony-edwards
Quote
Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star guard Anthony Edwards has agreed to a five-year designated rookie maximum contract extension that could become worth $260 million, his agents, Bill Duffy and Joe Branch with WME Sports, told ESPN on Monday

Damn, that's high.
Well, he is worth it and really deserves the amount. Healthy kid, very agile, aggressive, can shoot, can dribble, high flyer, good defender, and he is the new face of their franchise instead of KAT.
From play-in tournament to entering the playoffs as number 8 to face the Denver Nuggets and busted in Game 5. It sure was a rough road for them but next year should be better. They should try avoiding locker room problems especially that Gobert versus Anderson fight. The higher their chemistry is, the better the team they could create.
Perhaps they should now give the leadership to the Ant-Man too and maybe they will be a better team with him leading the way. They actually have a strong roster, they just need that chemistry working out.

It's a significant amount, but he truly deserves that contract, just like other superstars such as LaMelo Ball, who has also enjoyed a sizable contract. However, Ball has been less active compared to Anthony Edwards, as he has experienced injuries that have caused him to miss a significant number of games. On the other hand, Edwards has been consistent and has even led his team to the playoffs.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: July 03, 2023, 08:35:34 PM
One of the major reasons why bitcoin Enthusiasts hold bitcoin is in anticipation of a price increase that would increase the value of their asset. However, holding your bitcoin requires a patience mixed with strong will. It is the patience to be patient for a long period of time until the price makes a 10%, 20% and so on increase. Strong will not to use it to solve some immediate problem and risk a reduction in your asset. Consequently, not everyone one can wait that is why some decide to learn bitcoin trading so that they can make some quick profit that would also increase their asset holding. Some other become bitcoin lenders. Yes, they use either a centralized or decentralized platform to lend their bitcoin which would be repaid with interest. What is your honest take on bitcoin lending? Too risky, won't try it? Too risky, will give it a try?
Lending do not guarantee profits especially if the one you trusted to lend your bitcoin suddenly became insolvent that makes him unable to pay. So the risk to lose your bitcoin becomes high instead of just hodling your bitcoin until it reaches your target price to sell. That’s the consequence of impatient people, those who only want to have quick profits and end up lose everything they have.
