this is why we implemented SMS verification, also the average is not what is interesting.  we will be looking at number of forecasts, what is the median forecast, and perhaps other statistical factors if we have time.  the prizes are also meant for projects that can actually benefit from them as well - this was defined in the blog from some weeks ago.

These are not for ICO necessarily, just to provide a valuation of the company/project.  Right now we set the max at 30,000 btc as we are working on some better slider... it may be that some of these companies might actually be worth more but this is just what we have to work with at this moment.

I think the UK numbers should be working now.  At least the one I tried worked.  However we are using Twilio and it seems sometimes they don't connect to all of the carriers.

The target amount is just a crutch.  There are plently of ICOs out there who think they will raise millions (their target) but end up getting $10,000... on the other hand there are some ICOs that have a goal of a few thousand BTC and end up getting many many more very quickly.

So the target, while perhaps seeming helpful, in many times isn't.  What counts with swarm AI is that together as a group the numbers get close to the actual.

Furthermore it is also important that people focus on areas that they understand.  Asking people who have never seen a basketball, for example, to forecast the outcome of an NBA game will not provide a useful data set.

Because that is how the partners wanted the UI to look like, as some of these start ups currently do not have a funding goal.

I think there is an issue with US and Canadian numbers that we are trying to resolve with Twilio.  I assume you have one of those right?

of course they will be biased, the point is that where there is financial incentive to be accurate that bias is cut, and it is further cut when using swarm artificial intelligence

Yes the market is hot. And we are working as fast as we can to get the basic smart contracts in place, tested, audited and wrapped up. No one wants this out working on Ethereum more than everyone on the WINGS team.
