221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][SPA] Spaincoin: a coin to be distributed to the Spanish people on: March 05, 2014, 11:46:12 AM
Another attempt at money grabbing trying to emulate the success of a previous coin with no innovation. Move out from underneath Auroracoins shadow and create something unique... good god.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTN] Bitinum - The digital platinum. SHA-256, 1 min blocks on: March 05, 2014, 11:34:18 AM
Why SHA-256? Sigh...

Also... If you're calling it the digital platinum, it's supposed to be rare considering platinum is more rare than gold. 999 million coins is not exactly rare.  Roll Eyes

This coin doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. I could deal with a 2% premine if the coin had potential, but this is just another clone. It doesn't innovate.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 04, 2014, 08:19:40 PM
You know what's truly scary.  If mazacoin matched or got anywhere near AUR's market cap, it would be valued at around $7 PER.

Yes, sit for a second and soak that in.

AuroraCoins cap is vastly inflated, there are only currently 100,000 coins in market circulation. The real market cap, IE, the sum of coins being currently traded in the open market is $70.91 x 100,000, or $7,091,000. This is less than 1% of the stated market cap ($751,855,932) on coinmarketcap.com. Food for thought.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin (DarkSend) | No Premine | Runs 30% cooler than scrypt on: March 03, 2014, 04:20:53 PM
This coin actually looks cool. I'm skeptical of most alts, but if you can pull off 'Darksend' successfully it would be pretty unique. Hopefully it doesn't get buried beneath the flood of clone coins that seem to be streaming out of the toilet at an increasing rate.

I don't even see a login dialog, site doesnt seem to be working.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: December 21, 2013, 05:43:25 AM
Made a splash alright. Right in the toilet.
227  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E Down? on: November 18, 2013, 12:10:34 AM
Guessing DDoS, Bitstamp went down for a few about 30 minutes ago. Hopefully BTC-e is back soon...
228  Economy / Service Discussion / BTC-E Down? on: November 17, 2013, 11:58:42 PM
Just to confirm it's not just me, is anyone else having issues connecting to BTC-e?

Looks like last trade was 6:44 EST, about 15 minutes ago. Possible DDos?

230  Economy / Auctions / Re: 2010 Fiji Taku - 1 oz .999 Silver Gold-Gilded Proof on: November 15, 2013, 12:09:01 AM
Apologies, just realized this is probably in wrong forum as it's not really an auction. Can an admin move it over to goods? Thanks!
231  Economy / Auctions / 2010 Fiji Taku - 1 oz .999 Silver Gold-Gilded Proof on: November 14, 2013, 11:51:57 PM
Looking to sell my 2010 Fiji Taku. It's a 1 troy ounce .999 silver gold-gilded proof of the Hawksbill Turtle produced by the New Zealand mint.

Here are some shots of the coin in all its glory, with its original mint packaging:

I'm looking for 0.3 BTC. Free shipping to USA only via USPS Priority Mail, with delivery confirmation and insurance.

Thanks for looking, let me know if you have any questions!
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CryptogenicBullion (CGB) RELOADED! MANDATORY UPDATE! on: August 02, 2013, 11:17:10 AM
The icy C makes me think someone had a dyslexic moment and wanted to make a "CryogenicBullion" logo...

Thanks for the constructive feedback, much appreciated.  Grin

Your efforts are greatly appreciated and I like the look. However, we are looking for something a bit different than your typical "coin" logo. My intention was always to have something more along the lines of a hybrid of a block of ice and a block of bullion. Someone provided the following image which I believe to be a good template. Clean, elegant and oozes affluence.

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Johnson_Matthey_500_grammes_silver_bullion.jpg

I am geting the green light from the rest of the CGB team to have a logo design contest based off of these parameters. The payout of course would be in CGB. Would love to have you participate if this launches. Keep an eye out, hopefully I get approval to do this starting today.

Finally, I hope everyone has updated their client before the 55k fork. If not, please do so immediately! I am in the EST and figure that as we cross over into Sunday, the fork should occur. Don't want anyone to lose the the correct block chain. This announcement has been stickied at the top of the page by salty as well. I usually overlook the sticky's so posting this here as well to make sure all see. BTW, it is FRIDAY!!!

It's all good man! Was just speaking to his general rudeness and lack of helpful criticism above anything else. I'll tinker a bit more, see what I can come up with. Looking forward to what's coming down the pipe for CGB!

I'm not sure if you're looking for a new logo, but if you are, I can fiddle a bit more when I've got some free time.

Repost from other CGB thread.

The block reward didn't halve? It's still at 10 at block 50005....

How much time left for 10 per block ?

Around 130 blocks it looks like.

OP updated:

July 30th, 2013 Update:

Please download the updated clients (in OP). Also a couple of changes have been made to take preventative measures against what recently occurred with CAP. Finally, the block rewards have been extended to allow for a 1/2% yearly inflation after 1 million CGB are mined - at a rate of 0.01 CGB per block:
DNS seeds have been enable and DNS records have been created which resolve to 6 trusted nodes (we will add more soon)
Checkpoints added
Added reward of 0.01 CGB after 1 million coins are mined (comes out to 1/2% yearly inflation)

Any hints on what the  website will feature when we reach 50k blocks?
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] PETITION Primecoin listing on BTC-e on: July 28, 2013, 05:36:28 PM
If they added a crapcoin like Chinacoin, I don't see why they can't add PrimeCoin.

+1.
