2201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Columbia student Emma Sulkowicz vows to carry mattress around university on: September 11, 2014, 02:09:14 PM
To those saying she is faking it or she wasn't really raped or this and that, you should know that Columbia has taken NO action whatsoever against the rapist, no investigation, despite there being reports of three other women being serially raped by this privileged student.

In other words, the woman must have wanted it or precipitated the violation on some level, because the idea of being so utterly powerless as to stop someone from penetrating you is so threatening that most males cannot conceive of finding themselves in such a situation. It doesn't even occur to them that the victim wouldn't have taken every precaution possible, up to and including not making oneself attractive, to avoid being violated, because most males would if they thought violation was possible.

2203  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should we stop all Muslims from entering America? on: September 11, 2014, 02:00:15 PM
There are close to 3 billion Muslims on the planet. If every one was dead set on terrorism, every non Islamic person would be dead. The reality is a very small minority are using Islam to further their own agenda. Groups like ISIS and al quaeda don't represent Islam at all.

To deny entry into a country based on religion is incredibly discriminatory

According to the Pew Research Center, there are approximate 1.6 billion Muslims, this figure accounts for 23% of the world's population.
2204  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: September 11, 2014, 01:47:35 PM
I only hate those who cant understand that I dont believe in their shit.
I am tired of listening to people say things like "You will go to hell" or "You only pray to satan" and things alike..

It pisses me off.

Im atheist and thats

I respect peope who has believs, but dont try to convert me or tell me that I am the one who is wrong.
That is why I hate relegion in general.

When they condemn you by stating you're going to "hell", they are only exercising their constitutional rights to freedom of speech.

What's not a constitutional right, however, is when the religious are introducing laws that impede our rights. For example, when our youth is made to stand up and recite The Pledge, which consists of the words "Under God", when clearly, this is a violation of the rights of anybody who is not a Christian. We need to restore The Pledge by removing these phrases, and we desperately need to restore our constitution, and take it back from the conservatives who have plagued it.

So are they really paying out?

There trust rating isn't the best.

The trust rating is nowhere an accurate measure of the legitimacy of a company. I've been receiving daily payouts, and I haven't run into anyone who has missed a payment, at least not yet

Is the site down? Cant seem to access it since this morning. Can any of you please confirm this for me? Thanks!

Works for me, so your ISP is probably censoring the site

Worked now, appeared that my antivirus was flagging the site as a threat and blocking it, not sure why that would happen though. Anyways, all good and i am able to log into my account now. No worries Smiley

That's odd, what was your AV saying?
2207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: September 11, 2014, 06:00:20 AM
What I meant when I stated that no man should ever have to demand religious freedom is that religious liberties are a constitutional basic human right, it should not be demanded, it should be given.

I agree wholeheartedly. Now if we could only get Muslim countries to agree too...

Unlikely unless we can establish separation of church and state, get rid of religious influence from their education system, and bring in secularism. I'd say the Middle East just needs time, anywhere around thirty to forty years, though most are already realizing the damage Sharia is bringing to the State.

Asinine tangents, bitchy attitude, and a lot of mouth. Leave it to an asian to miss the fucking point and think spouting nonsense is a valid counter argument.

You missed almost every single point he was making. He was calling out muslim hypocrisy, none of which you addressed, and instead tried to deflect and shift blame in the most pathetic slimmest of tangents.

Answer the actual question, slanty eyes.

What's with the racism? If you have nothing to add to a thread besides racial slurs probably better not to post at all.

Racial slurs that aren't even relevant to the discussion!

were both have exchanged racially charged blows. Some might call being selective in your responses as discriminatory.

Can you show where I have demonstrated a "racially charged blow"?
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MinAddress : Now remember your addresses easily on: September 11, 2014, 05:19:58 AM
Only a minor problem -- you must use the address before you can use it.

Exactly. Address reuse = privacy leak!
This is a major problem. However I would think that this would appeal to people who are not as concerned about privacy (for example a hotdog vendor accepting bitcoin for sales, or a charity).

I don't think this would appeal to the "average" user of bitcoin.

If vendors aren't concerned about privacy, they can always use fiat.

We are not imprisoned by money but freed by it.

This is the best paraphrase of my post regarding this topic
2216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should we stop all Muslims from entering America? on: September 11, 2014, 03:59:52 AM
The USG can't stop Muslims from entering the US. They can only make it illegal.

This holds true for any kind of regulation, but fundamentally, gun control.

Given this was originally an open forum invite, please help me to understand your viewpoints by answering the following;

1. Why is it acceptable for Muslims to demand freedom of religion, that being to practice Islam, in any country they want without fear of repercussions yet those same tolerances are not extended into Islamic countries?

2. Why are Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc either imprisoned or killed in Islamic countries for practising their religion in Islamic countries?

3. Why do Muslims not defend themselves against radical Muslims?

4. Why do Muslims not defend the rights of practice of other religions as they expect for their own?

I ask these questions in an open nature with no intent to slur anyone and I will openly admit to being a practising Christian.

Regards,

Cranky

Bump - my questions have been overlooked...perhaps because they ask to hard a question?

1) No religious group should ever have to "demand" freedom of religion. The freedom to practice your religion is a constitutional right. Also, your logic is pretty fallacious. You imply that it is unacceptable for Muslims to demand freedom of religion when other countries don't have it. That's like saying Korean-American US citizens shouldn't be allowed to use the internet because the internet is banned in Korea.

3) They do, it's just that our media does not like to portray them doing it because they make an earning out of negativity.
http://rt.com/news/186460-french-muslims-christians-isis/

4) I've never heard of a Muslim here in America violating the rights of other religions

Oh, you openly admit to being a practicing Christian? Ever heard of Uganda? They're not exactly your idea of "tolerance" or "acceptability", and they claim to being a Christian nation, with a "Kill the Gays" bill. Does this have anything to do with you? Nope, just like it has absolutely nothing to do with Christians in America.

Asinine tangents, bitchy attitude, and a lot of mouth. Leave it to an asian to miss the fucking point and think spouting nonsense is a valid counter argument.

You're assuming I'm an Asian for no valid reason whatsoever. Your fallacious reasoning tends to have an unfortunately humorous nature.

Also, your grammar is just terrible. I am unable to comprehend your incoherent babbling, I'm sorry.

LOL this bitch Smiley

'Answer the actual question'

So hard to understand? Can't actually answer any questions and resort to making inane comparisons that hold no substance?

That's your 'argument' right there.

Once again, I am telling you to answer the question properly. Answer them in a direct manner instead of evading as you tried to do with your replies.

Unfortunately, I don't have all day to sit and answer your questions. I'm not taking/giving any interviews.
2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did the NSA create Bitcoin to establish a one world currency? on: September 11, 2014, 02:33:19 AM
Bitcoin's straight out of Revelations. You're even required to get/generate an ID to use it! Maybe Obama is the anti-Christ.... or the person who pulls the strings of Obama & Dubya, or head of NSA... Shocked

Or perhaps, have you considered the fact that maybe your wallet.dat file IS being used as your ID? Just like peoples' smartphones nowadays have become their IDs.

The article does shed some light on important issues, like how the NSA designed the SHA-256 encryption
2220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should we stop all Muslims from entering America? on: September 11, 2014, 02:27:53 AM
Not only is barring Muslims from entering America unconstitutional, but the assumption that doing so would stop terrorism is absurd.

There is nothing on the National ID that states anyone's religion. Do you really believe, that any Muslim who wishes to go to America with the intention of terrorism would actually state his religion to the authorities, if such a fascist law were ever to be passed in our nation?
Furthermore, the organizations you mentioned, Al-Qaeda and ISIS, were both funded for fully by the US government, once upon a time.

Much like other foreign immigrants from the Middle East, Muslims are already subject to harassment, discrimination, and illegal searches by the authorities. You are nine times more likely to be killed by a police officer than a terrorist, according to data from The U.S. Department of State.

And...

Data obtained from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control above further proves that you are 35,079 times more likely to die from heart disease than from a terrorist attack

According to this source, Obesity accounts for 100,000–400,000 deaths in the United States annually, which means:

You are more 23,528 likely to die by being a fatass than get killed by a terrorist.

The 911 card is always used by politicians to try and impede our rights and take away our constitutional freedoms.

No straight thinking individual could ever believe this kind of weak argument is anything more than semantics and word games.

They need to set age limits on this website - this kind of 'opinion' I expect from a 15 year old. Very amateur.

Ad Hominem attacks are even more amateur, and are certainly unwelcome when engaging in civil discourse.
