Initial distribution is fundamental data of a coin and you always want to have that in the ann later no matter what. If it was ico maybe not so honorable but still very much of interest to potential investors.

In this case i came here because someone from this community pointed this coin out to me.
I was close to buying some but then realised it was initially distributed with Ico and was below ico level all the time. I think there is a fair risk in this coin the dev could have bought a large part of his own ico and now slowly sells the free coins he "bought" from himself to you which would also explain why he is actually working on it and not leaving. Once he sold his coins he'll be gone in case my presumptions are correct. Note: i can't prove it - but dev can't prove the opposite either.

If you're launching the coin with an ico you don't need to care about premine. Just buy the premine you want from yourself. The more the merrier because fake volume implies fake interest aswell. Selfbuying own ico is killing two birds with one stone. Most people can't see through it though.
