2201  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 09, 2023, 03:55:58 PM
The role of Education in financial literacy is simple, ability to read and write. It's genuine that the educational system didn't teach meaningful things that suits the livelihood of many who paid tuition fees to become professionals in a specific fields. But, I'd say that no knowledge should be considered unworthy of learning. These student may not learn financial literacy regarding cryptocurrency in school, but if they learnt business in school or economics it won't be a hassle to understand how cryptocurrency works. If its not thought in school that doesn't mean student shouldn't learn it themselves. I mean so many things we practice today wasn't thought in classes yet some students learnt that while in school in their hostels, even some students heard bitcoin for the first time from school friends. I'd say that Education is indeed playing a role in financial literacy regardless of its lesser percentage of contribution.
2202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Liechtenstein is considering to accept bitcoin for government payments on: May 09, 2023, 02:33:06 PM
The bitcoin community in Europe is awed to hear the intention of the Liechtenstein local lawmakers about the integration of bitcoin for government payments. They intend to swap the bitcoin into Swiss franc immediately after it arrives in their wallet. According to Daniel Risch, the PM, and Finance Minister, he stated that the ruling body could allow its citizen to utilize bitcoin for government payments, but it's not sure if they'll take in bitcoin as legal tender, he didn't mention it.

Hence, regarding the network congestion happening recently, bitcoin communities lament that the Liechtenstein government has not experience network congestion, before the bitcoin gets converted into Swiss Franc it'll take time and they'll pay higher fees too. Hopefully, the whole dust transaction gets decongested before Switzerland concludes its decision of integrating bitcoin as a means of paying government fees. If these countries, adopt bitcoin payment it'll boost bitcoin, but if the mempool busy traffic continues it can demoralize them from taking this step.

In addition, graphics and content writing are needed in this forum, especially the first mention. If you have some time to do design free, I'd suggest, redesigning signature avatars and sharing them in your thread. This will help show managers how great a designer you are, and yield more exposure to your arts and designs. Aside the forum, go to social media and reach out to new businesses about a logo on their websites or social media pages. Build a resume, directing back to the designs you've made in the forum and share with different prospects on social media. Take this as an everyday exercise and you'll see turn ups and responses, get busy first and the business will come.
2204  Bitcoin / Mining / Bhutan Kingdom is looking for Mining partners to expand their project on: May 09, 2023, 01:37:51 PM
Bhutan has revealed to the world, why they leaked the secret they've been withholding from the world and their citizen. Bhutan has been mining bitcoin since the price was at 5k with their extensive hydroelectricity a kind of renewable energy that is gotten from flowing water. The country mined bitcoin secretly and made money, when asked why they leaked the secret, they mentioned that their goal is to increase the country's economy by attracting more hands or partners to their crypto mine project that'll help in improving the hydroelectricity form of mining bitcoin.

Quote
The country’s investment arm, state-owned holding company Druk Holding & Investments (DHI), and Nasdaq-listed mining company Bitdeer are reportedly seeking investors for $500 million (€454.9 million) to be used to develop green crypto mining in the kingdom.

Bitcoin miners would find it a good partnership considering the nature of the country; monasteries, mountains, fortress, and its green energy.

2205  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Minners in Kazakhstan pay high electricity tax on: May 09, 2023, 01:12:12 PM
Noted, the fees are quite affordable compared to the amount miners earn from fees, but the fact it got increased, after the government collected 7m dollars, should be questioned and looked into too, If miners pocket the fees showing the government that it's cheap to them, they'll likely increase it again until the fees become unfavorable. However, people in different regions or countries pay higher fees, yet the way governments operate, they're always on the look out for more money, in my view, I see in future that the fees will be increased again.
2206  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] AgoraDesk.com - P2P Bitcoin Exchange | Sig Campaign | Up to $80/W on: May 08, 2023, 02:38:41 PM
Friends, payments will be processed tomorrow (I'm just on the road and will not have time to get home today).

No prob. Mempool is silly busy right now anyway (>2x worse than last week), maybe it will have calmed down just a bit by then.

recommended fees rate 583sats that's really too high for any bitcoin transaction I reduced mine to 183, but still yet to get confirmed. Hopefully, in the next 10 hours it'll get decongested.
2207  Other / Meta / Re: Can one use AI to correct grammatical errors? on: May 07, 2023, 12:59:41 AM
These tools most times, while correcting errors and syntax of our content, deduce the quality and readability of the article. Quite correct, it polishes the article and adds some flairs to it, other than using it to dictate few spelling errors, I don't consider such tools helpful anymore. When Writing, it flows according to your thoughts and how you arranged it, if a third party app begin to edit it, without proofreading it to understand why you added "why" in a sentence it'll flag the why as inappropriate and following its suggestions can complicated the readability of the article. Even I noticed on Grammarly that the readability score of my contents drops once I start editing my work on the site.  However, using an AI plugin that suggests a totally different syntax to rewrite what you've written can be scored as 90% AI written post when checked on AI dictator apps or sites. I think sites like Grammarly and similar ones as mentioned by forum members can be a better editing tool to the AI on your browser.
2208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 07, 2023, 12:45:04 AM
Maybe a stupid question, but I haven't used CEX for a long time (which is actually a good thing), so I'm wondering if their withdrawal services are more expensive now considering the situation, or is the fee fixed at some amount when it comes to Bitcoin?
I've used Kucoin and their transaction fee on BTC is about $14 and lesser when using their KCC network; $0.5 fees. It's one of the exchange with high fees, it's obvious they're doing this to promote their KCC network. And when using the kcc network to transact BTC the funds won't appear on a btc configured wallet except a bridge is used, and it's always hard to find a person that uses KCC network. Though, a method to follow through the kcc network to reduce fees exist, but it's stressful and may not worth it depending on the amount of btc you want to transact, so some trader will move ahead with the BTC assigned fee. https://coinmarketfees.com/exchange/kucoin

I agree that some will be discouraged by the current situation considering that we are used to paying fees of $0.50 and less, and now they amount to a minimum of $2 and up to $6 per transaction. I was hoping that the situation would calm down a bit, but now I see that we have over 300k unconfirmed transactions, and more and more "concerned" people who wonder if there is an end to this.

Aside from multiple uncomfirmed transactions, I'd say that miners are paying a lot on power fees and it could be a criterion that affects the high fees on bitcoin transaction. I mean how can Miners be supported if not through the fees?
2209  Bitcoin / Mining / Minners in Kazakhstan pay high electricity tax on: May 06, 2023, 10:28:57 PM
Kazakhstan is a well known bitcoin hub alongside countries like China and USA the country is a top ranked bitcoin mining country, they contributed to 13.22% of total bitcoin hash rate in January 2022. Same year, 2022, they passed a bill and made an increase on the electricity fee for bitcoin miners, which skyrocketed from $0.0023 per Kwh to $0.01. As of 2022 the country Kazakhstan generated 7 million dollars from bitcoin miners; 1.5 million in the first quarter. Hence, the fee is low for miners that use renewable energy; green energy. But, that doesn't work well on bitcoin mining. How can bitcoin miners settle the high rate of electricity bills channeled to them? Is it affecting bitcoin transaction fee?

2210  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is anyone else glad Bitcoin is calming down? on: May 06, 2023, 10:04:28 PM
It's so crowded today as well. It's been like this for maybe 3-4 days now. The transaction fee is very high at this moment. I have made a transaction with 5 sat/B, and it's been over 2 days. It's still stuck there. I don't want to spend more fees on them, so I'll just let that be there until things cools down. I don't know when that will happen, but these spike movements are making it hard.
Well nothing to do rather than waiting for it to cool down.

Last 2 days I paid higher fees $5 for a $20 transaction, I tried to adjust the fees, but considered how long it'll delay for the transaction to get completed. When I try paying with lesser fees the transaction would unexpectedly delay and I wouldn't like that to happen to some urgent transactions, so I don't have any option than to leave it that way. Recently, I think miners pay so much in tax and it could have affected the fees since they need those rewards to run their business. Though, I know that multiple transactions on the blockchain affects fees too, however, if I'm not in a hurry to get a product, I can set a lesser fee then wait till the transactions on the network becomes decongested such that miners can attend to payments with smaller fees.
2211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 06, 2023, 09:47:45 PM
-snip-
What do you think the right post quota per week?

Some people argue that sigcamp should not be considered as a job.

A good point, sigcamp is not a job or shouldn't be seen as one, the manager I'm currently with, Icopress, in his campaign thread made a statement which defines signature campaign, he said that posting in the forum is a hobby and the reward we get it's a compensation. If a person sees signature campaign as a job, then that makes it a wrong view, regardless of the number of accounts they use in working here or amount of money they make per week, it remains a way of saying thank you for being productive in the forum and channeling traffic to the brand we wear their banner. As for post quotas, every week can't be predicted, some weeks appear more busier in a participant's life. They could be more engaged in real life activities that they may not post more in the forum, but such users are expected to at least bypass the minimum number of post to be eligible for payment. If they don't that means the few posts they made in the week won't count, as it's a deal.
2212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world still see Bitcoin as a scam, or is it just a lack of interest? on: May 05, 2023, 08:08:06 PM
Definitely people who question about Bitcoin on Quora will see bitcoin as a scam as it's filled all over the platform, how people got scammed and lost money trying to invest into Bitcoin. Aside that such readers may not bother about venturing into the currency to understand it better, what they see is what they know, so such individuals will call Bitcoin a scam project. However, we all know that they is more to Bitcoin than just seeing it the way people paint it on the internet. Many people made and are still making a fortune through Bitcoin. I think more positive answers about Bitcoin should be circulating on the internet to help newbies stop staying scared.
2213  Economy / Economics / Re: 2023: What money lessons have you learned so far? on: May 05, 2023, 05:50:33 PM

What money lessons have you learned so far?
another important money lesson I've learned is the power of compound interest. By investing your money wisely and agreeing to grow over time we can harness the power of compounding to accelerate our financial development so prioritize your values and use money to support one's goals and desires in fulfilling my needs.

Compound interest has never been that rewarding due to inflation. My lesson is that saving money is like not putting money to work. As a business owner it's very important to invest money on ways that'll boost the business, instead of piling up the money in the bank. Like a thread on the discussion board that encourage people to take care of themselves as nobody knows tomorrow. It's of no importance to deprive ourselves from a certain way of living life because we want to save up money and gain profits in future. It's better to invest into Bitcoin than putting money into compound interest.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: May 04, 2023, 09:14:36 PM
Bitcoin trading and gambling are both risky, but people have their different views of things. The gambler who is not into cryptocurrency has his reasons for saying that you're similar to a gambler because he must have heard it somewhere about how traders lose so much money in cryptocurrency trading. Excellent bitcoin traders earn more profits, same with excellent gamblers. Differentiating among the side that earns the most money isn't easy, because sometimes a gambler could see a massive profit through gambling. The fact you gamble less doesn't make you an addict, but they think so, and it's their response about you. That defines the fact that everyone's perspective of what you do differs. That's why you shouldn't bother so much and show them results like you did, I'm sure it kept them calm. Hence, I bet that when you leave that circle to a place filled with skilled gamblers they'll show you their gambling profits, which may marvel you to learn that players see such amount of money in gambling. None is far better than the other or far worse than the other. Everyone should focus on what works best for them.
2215  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of such ads on Instagram & Facebook! on: May 04, 2023, 08:36:47 PM
Today I came across a few advertisements on Instagram (I am sure they would appear on Facebook too) that promise a program can find lost/forgotten cryptocurrency wallets.
What do you think this Telegram bot will do? Grin

I am still surprised why Meta does not make any effort to remove this type of content, even though they have enough capabilities, resources and technology to curb this fraud, if not reduce the fraud rate to zero.
The scammers are also lazy and their methods are easy to learn, however Meta leaves all the side to the users who waste their life effort believing these ads.

Increasing awareness will make these scammers pay Meta for free or revenue for their scam.

We have similar thoughts, but these platforms are too large to know bad actors from the good one. That's why they've got the report button, it's left for users to report malicious pages so that it'll be taken down or never approved to launch ads on Facebook. Some of the scammers when their account get banned they'll buy Facebook ad account and launch a new ad, so before they get banned again, some greedy victims must have fallen for their deceits. It's never easy for facebook bots to trace Scammers on the platform without the help of facebook users. I'd have suggested that before any Ad gets approved on facebook that it undergoes some verification to confirm its legitimacy before it gets to the phones or gadgets of multiple users on Facebook. But, the number of users and the size of the platform may make it impossible to achieve and these platforms need the money too. It's left for users to stay careful with their money and not fall for deceits.
2216  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: May 04, 2023, 08:25:52 PM
Agricultural products got expensive because of increase in the price of Fertilizer, fuel, hiring machines and power consumption. Agriculture is cost effective and requires power for irrigation on lands that lack water. Hence, the processes required to get food ready takes up more money than it used to in the past. Additionally, transportation is another reason why food gets expensive and some areas lack certain farm produces due to transportation cost. Perishable foods may not remain fresh except if transported through an Aeroplane, so farmers and food vendors are facing an increase in production costs and it'll certainly affect the price of farm produce, moving through the production chains from the producer down to the final consumer. However, the increase in food cost has affected the way people eat, few Families can be sure of 3 square meal depending on their income. Food is meant to be the cheapest stock in market, but today the price keeps skyrocketing without any decline. Hoping to see a better price sooner when the price of Electricity bills and fuel declines.
2217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't do something else offline, is this something wrong? on: May 04, 2023, 07:58:49 PM
It's not something wrong, keep building your online business, what matter is that you're getting some profits from the internet business. Also don't venture into a business you don't know anything about, because when things begin failing you'll run back to those that recommended the business and they may not stand to provide a better solution. Instead keep the money aside and use it to promote the online bitcoin business you're working on. If you need to expand, take the online business offline. Lecture people to understand the business or hire more people to help work on the business. Network and connect with other mining farms offline and garner business opportunities. That way, you're doing an online business offline, that's having an office, and exposing yourself to bigger businesses that'll yield additional money. If you venture into a cow business, you'll still take it online to market it, so that doesn't add up, it's better to take the online business offline.
2218  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal for AI Integration with BitcoinTalk forum on: May 02, 2023, 09:57:44 AM
  • Providing personalized recommendations and content to users based on their activity and interests

What I don't understand is this, it makes me believe the thread was made by AI. Members know their interest boards and wouldn't need any recommendations, sounds like we're on twitter where it's hard to navigate every content on the app. The forum is arranged in boards for members to easily ignore or utilize any content based on their activity. I don't think AI would achieve that for members unless through PM, a bigger red flag. What's the essence of visiting a board if AI, eliminating other topics, chooses the thread it feels would be nice for me? Basically it'll winnow out threads with little or no conversations.

  • Detecting and filtering out spam and fraudulent activity on the forum

AI will see human written contents as spam and read AI generated contents as quality. Leaving the forum moderation in the hands of bots, is not a good idea. Members devote themselves to keep the forum clean and it's been perfect without any alteration; nothing changed, same process. The AI wouldn't work like humans and they'll be lots of complains from people who their contents were filtered out by the bot, and the bot won't be on the meta board to defend why it removed the content. But, users here give reasons why they reported a content as spam, can the AI give us unique reasons?
2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTCUSA.com is live!! 🔥 plz rate it from 1-10 🙏 on: May 02, 2023, 09:12:01 AM
That's a brand-able name that can be pitched to top cryptocurrency firms in the USA, they'll get interested in buying the domain name. I'd say that the site, despite its age lacks some backlinks, now that its a blog, you can work on that to add more value to the name and also help in convincing buyers to bid for the name. Hence, such name won't be difficult to rank if the right contents and SEO is implemented on it. To stand out, that's if you wish to run the site for longer period, the theme on the site is not unique, though fine as other crypto news site. I'd recommend you use a simple responsive theme or template that'll fit on mobile version. Because such themes like the one you have won't keep people to read for longer time before they leave your site; it could cause Pogo sticking, and it's bad for the growth of your site. Look around themeforest, they've got nice templates that'll make you stand out in this niche.

However, how is the domain business moving? I've been off the business since 2016 when scammers started creeping into Flippa.
2220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trust Wallet on: May 02, 2023, 08:26:20 AM
That's a standard ponzi scam strategy to let the first victims to withdraw to let them vouch for it.
Every ponzi scam that I've seen has done that.
Now, am afraid that girl (cyber friend) will ask you to repay the 70k she lended to you! OP, if this happens, just ignore her. You don't owe her anything.

Looking at it, I think the USDT lent to OP was on their fake site, I've gone through his transaction and wasn't able to see where he received 70k usdt. How will a scammer send their victim 70k? that's a risk on their end, which they can't take. It could be his account balance on the fake site was topped to 70k usdt, and he can't withdraw the money, unless he pays some tax or invests more money. Found on his transaction log, he sent the 100k+ usdt to the scammers. Op get yourself together and don't think of falling mentally ill. It's hard to forget such mistakes, but on the process of making money listen to your instincts, investments with high profits that demands so much from the investor is always a red flag.

If you ever face any confusion regarding cryptocurrency investment get in touch here, that's what the forum is about, helping people follow the right track to genuine cryptocurrency investment, and teach you to avoid losing your hard earned money to the hands of thieves. You can get a therapist, to check your health, that's what matters.
