2201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: August 12, 2022, 08:51:52 AM
That's just a marketing play I suppose. It gives people the thought "wow they're the future" and gives them an illusion that Elon is interested in the same things they are interested in. Musk is just a good businessman. I don't think that he has a lot of time to study the crypto market and get involved in it.

He might not have the time but Elon has the space to accommodate Blockchain enthusiasts, I believe the doge coin he was Shilling some months ago may have not be his idea, someone may have suggested that for him, he doesn't have time for diggings or DYOR in details. Some of his comments on doge coin scales more than bitcoin proves that he doesn't no shit about bitcoin, he is just a man who employee good guys with big IQ and talent to run his business, that's exactly how he successfully run Tesla and the launch of spaceX, he doesn't know how that shit work, people work for him.
2202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits vs holding long term? on: August 12, 2022, 07:09:56 AM
There is one thing I like about crypto investment, you will be safe if you don't put all your eggs in one basket and you will make good profits if you choose the good projects and have that long patience.

Spreading your investment is not enough, it is not how you diversify your wallets but when you bought and the type of coin you bought should be put into consideration. For example, lets say you bought Bitcoin early this year, you added some coins/tokens like Terra into your wallets but unfortunately, you were affected by the market condition, it will be difficult to bounce back from that kind of losses. Bitcoin may/will always go back up but you see these altcoins, they are very bad sometimes during the bear market, they hardly find their way back to the previous all time high.
Always choose your investment wisely and when to buy, don't forget to put Bitcoin first.
2203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: August 11, 2022, 09:32:19 PM
For higher ROI don't take the bet on BTC only, yes it's the safest option bit for better gains you need altcoins as well, even Ethereum would do just fine, now that Pos and the better gas fee are around the corner Ethereum will perform very well from now on.

The same altcoins that may get you rekt? Altcoins may be promising but I don't think they are safe when the market is crashing, they can give you huge ROI but can also take all that you have invested.

If you can afford 1$ a day it is not a bad idea, but personally, I will wait every weekend and sum them up together and then buy bitcoin weekly, I don't think there is any platform right now where you can buy Bitcoin as low as 1$ right now, you may even struggle to send it to your own personal wallet due to fees and doing daily buy may accumulate plenty of taxes on every transaction you do, you will have to buy from fiat every single time with each of it taxed.
2204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I started business many days ago. Now it's time to accept Crypto as a payment. on: August 11, 2022, 09:20:31 PM
I like your idea, having bitcoin as a payment option for your business is a good idea. However, you mentioned that you accept bitcoin through Binance pay ID, which I don't like because they are a centralized organization and you can lose your account and bitcoin through that. I didn't see your PAY ID listed on your business banner, it will be simpler and easier for customers to make payments if you can include your bitcoin address on that list for buyers to pay to, and for a quick and easy manner of copying the address, kindly display a QR code that encodes your wallet address. This way, they can scan your bitcoin address and make a payment comfortably.
2205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay Utility Bills With Bitcoin In Nigeria on: August 11, 2022, 08:53:44 PM
As the gap for Bitcoin adoption in the African Largest country Nigeria 🇳🇬 and also referred to as, Giant of Africa Nigeria get widening.
Nigeria is among highest country in cryptocurrency trading volume, Next to countries like the United States 🇺🇸. Even though the government have not made a public announcement of cryptocurrency adoption.
A large number of Nigeria 🇳🇬 citizens are now aware of the fact that Bitcoin proffered best solution as an alternative currency. PHCN the body responsible for energy control and collection of power revenue Bills and Pre-paid customers, have adopted Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for payment of energy consumption in Nigeria.

More reading and source: https://thecryptobasic.com/2022/08/10/nigerians-can-now-pay-their-utility-bills-with-bitcoin/

This is actually possible just like the way other merchants like Access, Opay, and Moneypoint are operating as points of sales to facilitate users to purchase an electric unit without going through the company but I'm skeptical about how this Finance protocol intends to settle PHCN.
PHCN is not a single company, we have AEDC, IBDEC, JEDC, BEDC and many more, if the users pay bitcoin to purchase units from Manilla Finance, how are they going to settle the electric distribution companies because they don't recognise Bitcoin as legal assets in the country, I'm even afraid more when the government want to kick against this kind of idea.
2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: August 10, 2022, 10:57:00 PM
Money management in gambling is kind of hard to handle but I have this rule: No matter the situation of my losses, never borrow money to gamble just to gain back what is gone, it doesn't usually end well with that kind of thinking, the moment you borrow the first one, that is the beginning of your problem in gambling, you will always have the urge to borrow anytime you lack money or loss to gambling. It is very easy for me to handle because I don't have percentage allocation to gambling, if I exceed my maximum cap at a loss for that month, I end it there,
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: August 10, 2022, 10:42:44 PM
Trading and Gambling is totally different things. when someone start gambling must of the gamblers use there fiat money for gamble on the real offline casino. But then they comes on online casino then they buy btc or others currency instant by fiat money and deposit there money on Casino platform. So i don’t think if btc price dump it can impact on gamblers
someone who is a heavy gambler will definitely not mind the price of bitcoin even if it drops because in his mind only how to multiply his money, it is very different from traders who think bitcoin only based on fiat value. so in my opinion, the falling bitcoin price has no impact on the decisions that a gambler will take.

Why wouldn't they mind considering that they are big investor, it is not as if they don't mind if bitcoin reduce the value of their USD when there is a dump but it is painful when there is a pump and you don't have your deposit in bitcoin, you will always have bitcoin with more value. This is why it is very important to purchase your bitcoin when the price is low and use them to bet when you need them and not when the price is already at an all-time high.
2208  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xbit dispute on: August 10, 2022, 10:26:47 PM
According to a quick search I did yesterday, there is not enough evidence to prove that both platforms belong to the same operator. Despite this, everyone is firmly convinced that 1xbet is just another interface for 1xbet. Do you have evidence that the two platforms are interconnected? This will facilitate the conviction process, in my opinion.

Yes, we do. There is ample of evidence that these two platforms are interconnected. Even by their own admission. This topic has already been covered extensively. References: here, here, here, and here.

The problem is, when it comes to things like this, we are never going to have rock-solid evidence. It all depends on what you are going to accept as enough compelling evidence to draw a conclusion.
Just think about it - any two websites can be managed by one guy sitting at a desk in his mom's basement, and insist they are unrelated. How can anyone prove irrefutably that this is not true, unless he admits it? The same thing applies here. It is impossible to definitively prove that they are one and the same company, but there is plenty of evidence to suggest that they are. On the other hand, is there any evidence that 1xbit is not part of 1XBET, apart from their claim? If we could identify the actual company or legal entity behind the 1xbit platform, it would be helpful. But there isn't one, is there?
I would like to thank you for the great effort you put into collecting all these proofs. What I found leaves no doubt that a particular party runs a group of gambling sites with different domain names.
I can understand that this evidence may not be strong enough to form an indictment file, but when I am trying to display advertisements on my website or on stadium screens, should I not take all this data into account?
These sites will continue to operate as long as there is someone who accepts money in exchange for displaying advertisements, without taking into account all cases of proven theft.

Some of these advertising agencies aren't on bitcointalk, so it will be difficult for them to know most of these scam accusations labelled against them. I am also quite surprised that I do see 1xbit on popular explorers of bitcoin, Ethereum and some few other chains and they are comfortably displayed every day but I also think they don't care or don't do any investigations before acceptance of these companies otherwise, google is free for everyone to do diggings and query for some honest answers.

I often see 1xbet these days because they have really captured local artists and they have been giving out free bonuses on the first deposit but because they have a similar domain to 1xbit, I refused to register with them, in fact, I block anyone advertising them on Twitter. It is better to be safe than cry later, don't you think?
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: August 10, 2022, 10:09:36 PM
Gamblers still loses money in gambling because there is no patience to learn the necessary things that is needed to sustain the pressure and strategy on how to place bets. There are many things we need to get aquatinted to in order to do well in the gambling world since there are many competitors that are in it based on different reasons.

The pro gamblers know how to get away from betting when they make loses but the newbies or inexperienced ones easily make good profits and loses it back to bettimg because of lack of knowing when to quit or be contented with what they wants.

Gamblers lose even with the best practice and strategies, losing is what balance the winning we all take from casinos, if all the players keep winning, gambling will not exist for long to now but playing and making a few loss sometimes is just part of the process.
Learning all the strategies just to get acquainted with the basics of betting is just a requirement that any player will need, it doesn't guarantee you any winning and because it doesn't show any special logic to get the bag but not learning at all is the disaster of all as your ticket will cut in every game.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 10, 2022, 09:53:40 PM
All Gamblers Engage in Criminal Behavior
>> Fact: Gamblers who seek and accept help can recover before they have to resort to criminal activity to finance their gambling.

I think they should add compulsive to this myth because not all gamblers need to seek and recover since most of the gambler is just playing for fun. Only compulsive gambler can do such thing and actually this can be categorized as fact and not a myth anymore because people with gambling addiction is really resorting to criminal activity if they are lack of funds.

Why would anyone steal for gambling losses? That s the only criminal behaviour I know a gambler may do if things don't end well. There is nothing big enough to compel any gambler to engage in that kind of act unless one is threatened with death because some people go to the length of taking loans from loan sharks and we all know how dangerous they are when you refuse to pay back the money they lend you, even with death threats, there are security forces that can handle them.
Gambling is not a do or die stuff if it is not working, I see no reason why will anyone go to the point to get money to wager on gambling, that is the dumbest thing anyone will want to do even if they are addicted to it.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: August 09, 2022, 11:01:50 PM
if you use btc, I think it has a very big impact on spending, especially at this time bitcoin is experiencing a decline, and of course those who use bitcoin need twice as much for their capital, the impact caused is a decrease in gambling that uses btc and they return to fiat/stablecoin as an alternative or can be said to minimize loss if later btc returns to 40k $

This is why casinos with bitcoin deposits will always be huge merit for gambling casinos, players will play games and wager bitcoin now that the price is low and when they lose their bitcoin, the casino gains an equivalent amount of USD in bitcoin, and they continue to keep this bitcoin in their collects until the price goes up before they sell and usually, they always make 3x of that value, this is why gambling is profitable enterprise when players continue to lose, On the other hand, when the player wins on any casino, withdrawing bitcoin is the best approach to get more bitcoin.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 09, 2022, 10:19:33 PM
Quote
Myth 3: If You Keep Playing, You Will Eventually Win Your Money Back.
>> Fact: The longer someone remains in active gambling addiction, the greater the losses.
This is what makes gambling business is so profitable due to this kind of behavior of most gamblers or lets say they could really break even if they do tend to play even longer
and this one would even make the situation makes more worst and people should really realize these things but if you are willing to lose all of those amounts you do have or solely
been intended for the use of gambling then it should be find but if you are compromising already your life savings then its a different story.

Counter-operations on everything in life are absurd, and the same is applicable in gaming. If you lose, accept it and move on to the next thing, there are other days to win rather than being stuck on a loss that will leave you with regrets and some terrible judgments.

If your first impression of gambling is to win money, you should keep in mind that you could also lose what you are playing. This will guide you more on your gambling quest, especially if you intend to use money that is not yours or life savings because these are the things that can make a gambler becomes depressed when they lose money.
2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 09, 2022, 10:05:51 PM
No, I disagree with you on this, before the start of the new season Ronaldo told the Manchester United board that he can not play in the Europa League and he made his intention known to them that he wants to leave the club to another club but repeatedly Manchester United through their coach made it know to the public  that Ronaldo is not for sale besides he has one year left in his contract. Ronaldo was linked with a move to Chelsea but Manchester United rejected Chelsea's offer because they are arch rivals, Roma and Bayern still made offers to sign Ronaldo but United's coach said he is still a Man U player so I think so many clubs wanted to sign him but the team never wanted to let him go.

I think we can only accept the Manchester United statement on their stand for saying that Ronaldo wasn't for sale as it was official but I just feel the offer they are getting wasn't appealing in their eyes otherwise I believe every player has a price tag, they would have given him out because I can't point out exactly his performance through last season, apart from the few international and small leagues he won some trophies, there is no credible achievement he had in Europe throughout, more reason why Balon D'or is even far from him this year.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: August 09, 2022, 07:16:38 PM
And why OWL keeps on going up in price? Honestly their site doesn't seem to be very unique or impressive - anyone has a credible explanation who is behind the price rise of that OWL token?!

We need to understand that tokens are somethings that has more higher volatility even than the coins itself, well atimes those behind the NFT pump the price just to deceives and eventually you discover a sporadic decline in its value, this is risky enough but weather rising or falling ones you have your assets in tokens then bear in mind the more danger it poses and same way it has a good opportunity to provide as well, but the effect of pump and dump could be disastrous.

The less volume a token has, the more volatile it is and the easier it is to manipulate, which is why these tokens are pushed by a few buy orders and sell orders, resulting in dumps. Casino tokens do not normally have a use case like typical projects and hype like other tokens out there, so a single person or group can do whatever they want. They can even buy their token at a lower price and decide to pump the price, and once they get the attention of traders who like to pump and dump, they sell on them and withdraw their capital and profit.

My advice is to buy Casino tokens only if you need to use them for some benefits within the platform and not as an investment like other cryptos.
2215  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: August 09, 2022, 06:55:37 PM
We had already know, the transaction free for the bitcoin was high.It was not reduced yet, this lightning network will do the fast transaction of the bitcoin from casino to your original wallet in a short period of time.So better option for the casino to get huge players is including of lightning network. Most of casino players will like this lightning network option.

Do read what you just posted?
Bitcoin transaction fee could be low as possible but the amount of sats you will be paying depends on the amount of input, output and the type of address you are sending the bitcoin to, you can even set your fee to the lowest minimum of 1 sat/byte if you can wait when the mempool drop to that low but since a gambler will want his deposit to be credited as soon as possible, the lightning network should be the best approach to help in this situation to enjoy low fees in every bitcoin transactions.
2216  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xbit dispute on: August 09, 2022, 06:36:57 PM
Unfortunately I read unfounded and unjustified accusations to 1xbit again. It's a shame that profiles working at other gambling sites see 1xbit as a big competitor and time and again they hire people to give 1xbit a bad name. What also strikes me is that players are not able to send their betting history here, while this has been requested several times. And when they do send it, it always turns out to be tennis and table tennis. Many stories have been written about that that there are many cheaters there. Well, what do you do about cheaters? Pretty normal for a gambling site to take action against that in its own way.

Competitor or do you mean a ripper gambling site where people have lost their hard earn deposits and winnings, did what you wrote sound reasonable to you at all? I'm very sure that if you weren't picked to participate in the 1xbit campaign, you wouldn't have anything meaningful to contribute to this thread. What do you even mean by other gambling sites see 1xbit as a competitor, because they are popular and well known for being scamming group doesn't give them any good name but a very bad reputation that will hunt them for the rest of their life, they better return all the money stolen including all the allegations that have been open against them or they remain known as thief forever including you.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 09, 2022, 06:16:22 PM
I disagree with some of the points raised above.
Most casinos' primary goal is to generate money, not to make you addicted. In general, the human mind is created to desire money, and if you believe gambling is the quickest method to raise yourself from financial difficulties, you will become addicted to gambling at any cost.
Fact 3 also seems strange to my gambling understanding, your losses do not rely on how long you have been playing; some people lose most of the time, while others win more and lose a few.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 08, 2022, 07:17:25 PM
Seriously! was this a coincidence? I don't think so. Brighton performed well enough. And they deserve this win. Manchester United had more of the ball possession in the first half and played defensively. On the other hand, Brighton tried to score. United's players made several attacks but I did not see any strong attacks. Brighton won and they won with a good performance. This is no coincidence. If the performance of Manchester United does not improve, they will not get the expected performance in the upcoming matches

In addition, Erik said that their main goal is to win every game, not to look at statistics or see who performs better, but that even if they were the best on the field, the goals weren't coming.
I don't know what happened between Trossard and Maguire, even the camera couldn't catch what truly happened, and the image has been making the rounds in the media. A captain like Maguire who can't be purchased by another team should be doing the work of a captain, not being the subject of media sensationalism.
2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: August 08, 2022, 05:55:54 PM
Even the porn industry is just like that. A pop-up question will appear asking "Are you 18 years old or above?" Just click the "Yes" button and voila, you are in. This is where good parenting will come in. Every parent now should know how technology works. It's not like the gambling industry will adjust to how the internet works because anything they do regarding security, there will always be a way for a kid to find his way in.
Then, most gamblers don't want KYC so it's either they lose customers or they will gain more and just forget about being humanitarian.

The pop-up questions aren't in any way beneficial to the users, but rather to the platform itself so that, should anyone or an underage player click/say yes and end up playing and get caught, the casino will not be held liable because they stated there that you should be at least 18 years old before you can play, meaning that you as the player are the one who breaks both the casino's rules and the laws of your country.

If not for the fact that all crypto casinos purported to be provable fair, I don't see the difference between them and non-crypto casinos, after all, what is the point of being crypto if KYC is still required? The very minimum requirement is sufficient to allow you to play any crypto casino and withdraw without any problem.
2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 08, 2022, 05:29:09 PM
I think it is never safe to make any prediction at the start of the season because most teams are quite rusty at the start of the season. And that’s why oftentimes we see a lot of unpredictable results. But as the season goes on the results become much more better and predictable. It is quite easy to be greedy watching good odds. But at the start of the season, it is never a good idea to bet on any team in my opinion. But obviously, people who don’t love their money can do anything with it.

You know what happens at this surprise party with little clubs, it's generally the result of new signees. When new players are signed to a new team, they are likely to want to show the team that they are capable of doing something for the team, something extraordinary, so they score goals to impress everyone, either as a collective effort of the team or as an individual effort, but you know a single person from a group can't do enough, they get tired of the struggle and become relentless, and this is how their team performance begins to wear off. Check out the friendly matches and other leagues that have started, the new signees are scoring the most goals.
