2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will This Habit Lead You To Chase Your Losses And Addictive To Gambling on: October 26, 2022, 08:48:27 AM
Do you think it's unhealthy to always post your winnings on social media and forums because this habit will lead you to chase your losses and bet more so you can post your winning, I find this habit forming and this is bad especially if people are following you and always looking forward to your winning posts.

People that always do thus are media influencers. It could be that they are paid by some gambling companies to always post and advertise their site. Another thing could be the person gives people prediction and takes money. So they will post more and more winnings so that people will believe them that they are very good in winning bets, by then they will have more customers and make more money than they win.

No, I disagree.. it is not just paid Social media Streamers that are doing this... there are a lot of people that are not streamers, but they simply want to brag with other gamblers about their winnings.

Take the Stake.com English Chat for instance... people post their latest wins all the time and then people will start the "begging" for rain, just after it was posted. A lot of those people are doing it... for self gratification ....and others are doing this to show the other gamblers that they won against the house.  Roll Eyes
2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: October 26, 2022, 08:37:41 AM
I think one of the things that irritate me the most is the "lag" on some games and also the constant "errors" on the Slot games. You might be playing for a while and then you get the "Cashier error" or "Connection Time-out" etc... etc.

A lot of this has to do with the congestion on the servers that are used by the 3rd party service providers or simply bad coding. (Sinominal Games are the worst)  Angry Angry Angry
2203  Economy / Gambling / Re: US players, where are you playing now? on: October 26, 2022, 06:03:02 AM
Well, Stake.com created a Sweepstake casino specifically for the US players, but I think a lot of the US players are still playing through VPNs on unregulated casinos to get the full experience. A lot of the 3rd party Slot providers has geographical restrictions, so most of the games are not available to US players.  Roll Eyes

It gets a bit tricky if you use a VPN and you win something big, because the casinos will use that as an excuse not to honor the withdrawal, if you played with a VPN. (Then suddenly, KYC verification is asked)  Roll Eyes
2204  Other / Archival / Re: Most investors think regulation is a good thing on: October 26, 2022, 05:57:34 AM
The "Investors" will not ask for regulations, because they want the volatility to increase their profits.... and a unregulated commodity will have more volatility, because Crypto whales can flourish in a unregulated environment.

The Retail industry on the other hand, want a less volatile currency, because it works better with the pricing of items and services, if you have a less volatile currency.  Wink
2205  Economy / Economics / Re: government hampers the country's economy on: October 25, 2022, 08:39:16 AM
Well, the best example of this is the allocation of large Tenders to family and friends of the leaders of those countries. Take Nigeria as an example, they have large Oil reserves and you would expect that the people would benefit from that.... but the opposite is true, some politicians and their families are getting the majority of those riches..from corrupt tenders and bribes.  Roll Eyes

So, yes.... governments can hamper the growth of the country..when they have corrupt leaders and politicians. In democratic countries, people fight back with their votes..... but the corrupt politicians even rig those voting results.  Angry Angry Angry
2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 25, 2022, 08:11:15 AM
The question is....

1. Was it a technical error or did they wipe the Bet ID.

The casinos keep very good records of ALL bets that are done on their platform, so they should be able to draw those reports. The first thing I do when I win something BIG ..is to record the BetID and also to make a screen capture of the Win. (The screen capture will have a time stamp of the time and date of it being taken, so you can use that as proof.)

I find that smaller casinos with a small Bankroll, will look for reasons not to pay people... so I avoid them. Play with the more reputable and large casinos, because they do not have issues when it comes to large payouts.  Wink
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won 9600$ in dice by mistake on: October 25, 2022, 08:01:04 AM
Well, it could have went the other way, with you losing that $200 in one bet, so you are extremely lucky. I once deposited $2000 and I also played Dice and I wanted to play with $0.20 ... but I typed it incorrectly as $20 and started "Auto" bet with 1000 bets. It stopped betting after about 200 bets with insufficient funds and when I checked ... I noticed my mistake and nearly blown my top!!!!

It is easy to make mistakes.... so you should always double check all your inputs, when you pre-configure the games. Congratulations on your win and do not deposit all the wins back into the casino.... take some for yourself.  Wink
2208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Bitcoin Achieves Guinness World Record Titles on: October 25, 2022, 05:29:56 AM
The Guinness World Records is very good publicity for Bitcoin and a added value is that it is positive publicity. In a world that are dominated by FUD, some positive news will boost Bitcoin's reputation.

It gives Bitcoin some legitimacy and it also highlights some aspects that puts it head and shoulders above other shitcoins. Also, the fact that it puts the history of the coin in some perspective, because some people like to "change" the history to suite their agenda.  Roll Eyes
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think China will lose by banning Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2022, 05:22:16 AM
Well, for one thing.... if Bitcoin become a global reserve currency in the future and countries like China banned it, then they will lose out on the benefits of their people to use that currency. I do not think that will bother them too much, because their government wants total control over their citizens and the financial freedom that Bitcoin provide, will be perceived as a threat to their control.

My guess is that China will bring out their own government controlled Crypto currency (GovCoin) and they will force people to use that. Their citizens that will be using that currency, will be verified and all transactions will be monitored by their government.
2210  Economy / Gambling / Re: trustdice - scam, very bad site. on: October 24, 2022, 12:31:24 PM
It is weird that they are not telling you why you are banned specifically, but just give you a broad description from their ToS.  Roll Eyes  Did they tell you specifically.... or are you withholding information from us?

Some people create duplicate Alt accounts to misuse bonuses, so you might have created another account before and forgot about that.. and their team might have linked that account to this account ...and now they blocked this account, because they think that you are misusing the bonuses.  Huh
2211  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 24, 2022, 12:19:41 PM
I wonder what happened with the end of the year "Lambo draw" or big giveaway price draw? If there was going to be something like that, then it should have started already.... but I do not see anything.

It can be that the Stake $1 000 000 Birthday earlier this year, took too much of the marketing budget and that we might not have something this year. There is still some time left, let's hope for the best.....  Tongue
2212  Economy / Economics / Re: We are facing a new recession ten years after the previous one... on: October 24, 2022, 12:06:22 PM
The problem is..... every recession has a trigger event and in this recession the trigger was the Covid pandemic and on top of that the Ukranian/Russian war. Now, the question is.... how do you reverse the impact of these triggers, when the war is still having an influence over the Oil price and people are still out of jobs as a result of all the Covid lock downs.

The global economy can only improve, when you create new jobs and if you can find alternative resources for the Oil that are not being sold to the European countries and also if you can increase Wheat/Sun flower production in other countries.  Roll Eyes
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Survive A Nuclear War? on: October 24, 2022, 06:03:34 AM
Let's be honest... the last thing people will worry about, when they are devastated by a Nuclear War... will be "money" ... Just think about it, most buildings in large cities will be destroyed... radiation will be killing millions of people, because direct exposure and indirect exposure from contaminated food and water will be killing them slowly.

I think people will go into survival mode and they will be searching for clean food and water.... and long after that, communication and Internet systems will be restored and Bitcoin and other financial systems will follow after that.  Wink

2214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin transaction double charged you. on: October 23, 2022, 07:29:38 PM
I have had several bad experiences with Banks over the years.... from them breaking promises not to charge me fees, if I kept X amount of money in the account and still charging fees... even if I do that.... to having countless scenarios where the ATM's was out of order when I needed cash.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin and services linked to it can also have issues.... I recently bought something online.... and the confirmation of the transaction took too long.... so I paid to little.... then the service asked me to pay more... I did that and the price of BTC went down again.... and it asked me to do it again......  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
2215  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 23, 2022, 07:24:00 PM
You can try to reach out to the authorities that issue their license, if they are licensed... but that seldom work. The method used most are social media and forums like bitcointalk.org ...under this section ==> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 (Scam Accusations) ...but make sure to provide a lot of proof... or you will be ripped to pieces.

Most of the casino review sites are supposedly ran or funded by casinos... so it does not help to give them a bad review. So I guess ..... communication with the casino are the last resort.  Roll Eyes
2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you choose cryptocurrency as full time job? on: October 22, 2022, 09:05:34 AM

2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 22, 2022, 06:58:12 AM
Story 1 :

~ The girlfriend has the option to go to court and to lay a claim of theft against her boyfriend (or soon to be ex-boyfriend) ..and as soon as she wins that case, she then initiate a claim against the winnings... because he would not have won the money, if he did not use her money.

Story 2 :

The owner of the business does not have any claim against any of the money that the apprentice won, but if the owner of the business can show proof that the apprentice won that money, when he was supposed to work.... he can terminate the apprenticeship.  Wink
2218  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: October 22, 2022, 06:50:39 AM
Does this bot actually work for Stake.com and PD..... because Eddie (co-owner of Stake.com) said in one of his streams that they changed the API and that is the reason why so many of the bots are not working with it anymore.

So, is there someone out there that are still using this bot at Stake.com? I tried... but I failed miserably.  Roll Eyes  ....Be "lekker" and share the info with all of us.  Tongue

Well I've only done some bots and scripts on freebitco.in, but that was experimenting and the results weren't really good, I think you can put a bot or scriptop, but I don't think you're going to make a profit as many believe , what I do is bet many times with different multipliers, but the results will always be the same as you did manually, the only thing is that the bot plays much faster and they can make the difference, it's the only thing, but the bad thing is that a bot does not have balance control, so it can eat your entire balance if you are not aware, it is something that I do not advise, it is better to do it manually.

I know the bot does not give you the edge over the casino, but I want to try something to see if the casino are using an algorithm to detect if people are wagering.... because I suspect some casinos are doing this and then they change the win percentage to feed on those people.

Yea, Freebitco.in has some pretty good bot counter measures and they will "boot" people off from their platforms when they detect that you are using bots to cheat the system.  Roll Eyes
2219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Colleague at work now have bitcoin holdings on: October 22, 2022, 06:38:28 AM
I had a similar experience with my Bank.... I bought a motorbike and the seller was adamant that I do an immediate payment for him to get the money, because he needed that money to buy another vehicle. I went into my Mobile Banking Application and I transferred the money, but even after I chose the option for immediate Banking... the transfer of the money took 4 hours.

The Seller thought I was trying to scam him with a reverse transaction scam and he cancelled the deal and he sold the bike to someone else. After 4 hours the money was deposited in his Bank account... and he paid it back into my account, but he forgot to do the immediate payment and it took 24 hours to show in my Bank account.  Angry Angry Angry

This would have never happened with Bitcoin, because I can show the Seller the transaction on the Blockchain and he or she can monitor the confirmation status.  Wink
2220  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: October 21, 2022, 07:27:27 AM
The problem in most cases are "greed" and the negative perception of people in the private sector, towards government officials. A lot of people in the private sector believe that people in the government should receive small salaries for the work they do. They cannot see that "Service" and "production" for profit are two different things.

You cannot pay a government employee a piss poor salary and then put them into a scenario where they have to make decisions about tenders worth millions of dollars and then expect them not to accept bribes from these private companies. (It takes two to Tango)

Pay them a decent salary for their contribution and service and you will see less corruption. (Note : I am saying less... not No corruption)

Teach the kids not to be greedy and to accept what they have in life.
