2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: July 22, 2020, 08:55:00 PM
4% return per year for staking bitcoin is really a great deal and anyone holding bitcoin for years can go for it but do they offer guaranteed returns? What if casinos go bankrupt in the meanwhile time, so its kind of risky scheme to invest though.
There's nothing under the sun that's guarantee in nature, when making stakings of this nature we should have one thing at the back of our minds that, anything can happen to the company which can lead to bankruptcy. What is important here is: doing thorough research into that platform before making an advancement to invest|stake with them, and if doing this, stake what you can willingly lose.
That's true and I rather stake my coins only if I have the full control over my coins during the staking time because 4% per year means to double up the amount you invested means it would take 25 years to double up or let's say get the original value back as the original amount is under staking. I would never trust any casino or service provider for 25 years so unless I have control over my funds for the staking duration i won't ever stake my coins.

Although speaking in general it is a good idea actually because we all have some money left over in casinos and why not stake it to gain some free interest rather than letting the coins sit idle in the casino.
2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 22, 2020, 07:49:03 PM
The only reason why I was laughing about Trump was the fact that he said he was thinking about it in 2012 as well and he wanted to go against Obama but he realized it wasn't his time and it was too obvious that Obama would be easily reelected, so he gave up in 2012 and I thought that was it, dude just learned his place and it was nowhere near political page and he would give up.

Dude came back in 2016 as well and on early days it looked like not a campaign but more like a joke thing, like what Kanye did for example where you do know the candidate, its not someone never heard of , but you find it just a joke. Dude won that election from 1% chance of being nominated by republicans to actually becoming president. So, there is 0% chance I would consider Trump wouldn't be president again, he has a chance 100% for sure, its not going to be as easy as people claim but I believe it could happen.
2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: July 22, 2020, 06:28:01 PM
Obviously there are a lot of people who are looking at it wrong way but most others are looking at it wrong way as well. If you want to make more crypto you should earn it and that should be but what crypto currency is all about. Sure people who live in Europe for example could buy Dollars when it is low and sell it when it is high but usually, do you make money with money on regular basis? No you use money, money is used a lot and crypto is still a currency and a money itself as well.

So, you should definitely just put your hard work on the table and get money in return of your work and that money could be in crypto form. I am not saying that should be the only way to make crypto obviously but all I am saying is there are not enough people who are doing that and a lot more people who are trying to make money by trading it.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in Ripple? on: July 22, 2020, 05:38:47 PM
it is simple, Ripple protocol is good for banks, but i do not believe in XRP, there is a bunch of acussation on them, and they are not solving it, constantly sale new coins on the market, which increase supply, so price will not go up in the near term, i do not expect in long term as well
I am not sure about their problems going on and don't know if those accusations are true but I have been a long time believer of ripple for the simple fact that the price has never been too bad and actually the market cap has only gone better and better as compared to other coins.

of course, believe in the quality of Coin Ripple, Ripple is a coin that is very good in all respects in terms of volume, exchangers and enthusiasts it's not wrong to invest in Ripple because one day it will give a large or small profit

Actually you cannot expect big profits but instead you can expect more stable price now for some reason which is good if you don't like the volatility because they are now backed by banks and hence the volume is good so in my opinion XRP ain't bad just that don't expect sudden price increase is my suggestion.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 20, 2020, 05:56:02 PM
I guess there could be nothing there in physical casino to decode because when you're seeing all their activities from their business point of view then you can understand their business model and we cannot do anything about them unless they are not breaching any of legal thing.

Probably the term "decode" is being used here with different sense like we can go for studying what a physical casino is doing to make their customers to be playing with them rather than just assuming like they are trying to deceive gambler for the sake of profit making. When a physical casino is being operated as per government law and then I guess we do not have anything to decode with them, right?
2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 18, 2020, 02:46:29 PM
This league will be basically 8 games and also playoffs, which means if the players can return somehow they could still quarantine for a 10 day period if they need to and they would basically still be in the playoff games. Specially Montrezl Harrell because he is at Clippers and we all know Clippers is going to playoffs plus they will be going further as well which means they will be playing for a long time, at least 3-4 weeks and that is why Montrezl could still return in time to reach the team on a good period.

However, it would be hard to get into match shape when everyone already played 10 games and you are just coming in. More importantly of course is that I hope both Zion and Montrezl wouldn't have death and I hope everything goes back to normal for whoever has illness in the family and gets back up in their feet without issue hopefully.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 18, 2020, 02:04:54 PM
I guess November is right there in few months and there are so many people dying as well. Just recently some television spokesperson that keeps promoting Trump (you know the ones) and keep saying that media and the medical industry is faking it and there isn't a real virus and people are not dying and the numbers are all made up because if it was true we would have seen hundreds of thousands of dead people somewhere, we wouldn't be unaware of it yet he didn't see any sick person.

Well, his son got sick and got the corona virus, he apologized to all doctors on live TV. This is what Biden is basically fighting against, this is what the war on ignorance is all about, people who vote Trump do that not because they are bad but because they are morons, you can't fight a war against moron people, so you should at least out vote them.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 17, 2020, 06:42:47 PM
I am not entirely sure if we can call PSG champions, I mean sure they have been doing well and would have been champions by all accounts but at the end of the day could you really call them champions when you give it to them instead of them going out and taking it? In any case Juventus really deserved it, they were given hard time by Inter at first and then Lazio and they managed to just continue winning games without getting excited or afraid and just became champions without worrying about what other teams are doing.

I hate the fact that nobody else is becoming champions and Juventus just put an embargo on all the championships and taking it all to themselves, I would love to see some other team win as well, but at the same time I feel like they deserve it so they should be quite happy as well.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 15, 2020, 06:40:03 PM
In fact I am pleasantly surprised by this, for the most part people love bonuses regardless of their nature but it seems in this forum we are very sensitive to the idea of receiving bonuses with strings attached and we prefer to have the liberty to bet as much as we want and then withdraw the money from the casino without having to worry if you have fulfilled the conditions of the bonuses you received as a welcome offer when you registered at the casino.
Yes, because no one a bonus that is only visible but could never be withdraw. I get tons of emails daily like 1 BTC bonus waiting for you but I never even take them seriously because they are like 1 btc bonus but million btc wager which makes it only virtual bonus which I cannot ever withdraw. This is where websites like stake and sportsbet are great they offer you free bets (sportsbet.io) which is pure cash as you can bet and if win you can withdraw them immediately without any roll over.

While stakes gives you direct bonus on reaching various VIP levels and you can just withdraw the bonus right away, so people like to have bonus such that it is real money a virtual un-withdrawable bonus.

Deposit bonus since come with a wager attached hence most people don't like it now days.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 13, 2020, 05:02:28 PM
Whenever I play gambling I only use bitcoin, even though the fee is much higher than using doge or xrp I still use it. I just don't feel like using another crypto than bitcoin when it comes to playing gambling, but maybe in the future, I'll try using those altcoins that has lower transaction fees.
If you are not trying now I don't think anything is going to change such that you would be forced to use altcoins anyways.

I use the cryptocurrency that I get and don't bother converting it to bitcoin as I think that I can get the same excitement since I can always convert it in the end. Plus, if I will convert it right away before playing, it will just cost me too much in transaction fees so, why to choose crypto to bet if the crypto we have is already available in the platform right?

And converting it also makes the value so low, I remember recently stake added EOS and they gave away some free coins and I was so excited like hey i got around 1-2 EOS for free but then the actual value is not so big in bitcoins so yeah it feels better to not convert coins into btc unless you managed to win big and then convert it. I mean betting with 500 doge coins feels much better than betting with 0.0002 btc while both means same basically.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 13, 2020, 03:00:29 PM
Let's be honest, if Lakers and Clippers ever face each other, Kawhi will defend Lebron, PG will defend Lebron, those are more than enough defensive players that could defend him and not need anyone else. If you put anyone else on him, dude will just beast on them easily without a doubt. That is why I think Clippers and Lakers will be difficult, because you can defend Lebron but there is still AD left to defend, that dude will destroy inside because Clippers is not a very well big man team. That is why I think the best thing to do for Clippers is to focus on defending the wings and guards and just let the inside be inside while focusing on scoring from outside themselves. If they can shoot well, they could definitely win, it is depending on a bit perimeter defense by Lakers as well.

2214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 and Altcoins on: April 21, 2020, 06:15:35 PM
Containing this pandemic means creating a vaccine, and usually vaccine can be available for at least 1 year before it will be available for public use. But in this case, I guess scientist will do everything they can to provide a vaccine asap. While the market may not be directly affected by the virus, but It also made a slight damage since people would always choose fiat over cryptocurrency amidst the lockdown. Nevertheless, Bitcoin is still in a good figure these days.
That's exactly right, without vaccine we can never really stop it, we can try to only contain it and that is all we can do right now which is why there are lockdowns in many nations and billions of people are not going out of their homes. However I do not agree with the one year thing, that is only true when there is a new medicine for something that you are working on with no rush at all, if you want to make a new vaccine for liver diseases for example it can take from 1 year to even 5 years if you are not sure about some parts of it.

However this is a global pandemic that keeps people at home at all times which is why there must be some sort of rushed thing that people are working on to make it a lot more quicker than usual, in a year the vaccine will not be important because by the looks of it we will be economically screwed if its that late, I think 3-6 months is more likely with faster research.

1 ticket can happen because the smallest holders number in the greatest amount like 100k people with 1 or a few tickets say.   Then maybe some high roller has 100k tickets, in balance both groups the one and the many have equal probability of a win and the name of one of the 100k people small holders can pop up and seemingly achieve the impossible Smiley
I have seen this "1 million tickets and 1 tickets all have the same shot" argument here before many times and it always confuses me. I am just wondering, I think maybe what you mean could be "each ticket has the same chance" because 1 million tickets should have a higher chance, now we all know that ANY ticket could win the big prize right?

Well, shouldn't that mean that a person with a million tickets has more chances because he has a million chances to win whereas someone with just one ticket has one shot to win?

I am not saying it works like that because I am not sure neither but having a lot of tickets looks like is a bigger chance to win because you are basically entering the lottery with multiple options to win, if one loses the other might win whereas someone who has very little amount of tickets do not have that chance.
2216  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: April 21, 2020, 04:28:38 PM
BD's always loaded a little slower for me than other similar sites, but as I've often said before, that's because of my connection (I can only login from office OR sometimes from a phone if I have data). I've long ago cut my home connection as can't afford extra expenses and since I live at my work practically, I just go home to cook and sleep.

That said, lately, since the last 2 improvements, speed has improved noticeably. So I'm sure, it's a connection issue (your ISP).
These network issues should be addressed first to your ISP before seeing if it's BitDice's problem or not. As usual, just like me, I don't have a problem accessing the site and I know that my internet is quite good.
Yeah, when the network is coming out of just one place to tens of other computers (in some companies even hundreds and thousands) it becomes a bit more slower because of two main reasons.

One is you do not have individual internet for one computer, normally at home you either have just a single computer with internet or you have two, rarely more but even the biggest households probably has like 5 phones and 3 computers and all that, yet when you are talking about a company they are sharing the internet with tens of computers which makes it slow down, they might get a lot faster and a lot bigger internet so they can share accordingly but we all know companies tries to cut corners on costs wherever they can find, internet could be one of them as well.
2217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading strategy on: April 20, 2020, 09:40:20 PM
Like many other people have mentioned here, for me also holding is the simplest strategy which remains profitable till date. I also tried multiple different strategies but none of them remained good always. Instead of switching strategies often, I decided to go with only one way of trading which is holding and I am happier with my decision of quitting active trading.

I guess holding must be a suitable strategy for most of the people regardless of their capital amount and knowledge and skill levels. But, I am not sure why not ready to accept the concept of long term holding; one probable reason could be not having enough faith on the futures of bitcoins and cryptos.
2218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not as risky as many think. on: April 20, 2020, 07:10:39 PM
Just because other things are considerably riskier or at least close to bitcoin, that doesn't mean bitcoin is not risky neither. That just means other things are as risky as bitcoin, instead of bitcoin not being less risky.

Bitcoin is still considerably riskier compared to many things in financial world not because it is not making big movements in the long term, if you buy now and wait 5 years you will realize that the profit you make is realistic, however if you look inside that 5 year period you will see it going up and down constantly with HUGE differences, like x10 up x5 down x7 up x3 down and so forth, which is why short term it is still quite risky and probably the riskiest thing you can invest to, just not so much when you look at the bigger picture.

Were you around in 2017? Back then there were tons of people who had over $200K worth of crypto at the peak in 2017 and they all said the same thing. When they started to gamble with like 1 BTC, they said that if I ever make $200K, I will buy a house. So many people started with 1 BTC which was at $1000 and they either gambled, mined, or traded and got 10 BTC, and at the peak it was worth $200K. Did they sell? No.

They held on to it because they wanted $500K or $1 million or so. And eventually most ended up selling a year later in Nov 2018 when it hit $3-4K. So instead of selling and making $200K with an initial $1K investment they only made $30-40K assuming they didn't lose it by gambling or leverage trading. So if BTC ever hits $200K a coin, will you sell and buy a house? Or will you hold it because you think it would reach $250K or $500k?
I have been around since early 2013 (or even 2012 if you consider just researching but not owning any) so I do remember 2017, I remember 2014 as well, I remember all the increase in bitcoin and all the people who kept looking at bitcoin like it is a way out but in reality it doesn't matter how much money you have, it only matters what you do with it.

Sure if you give a person one billion dollars, they will spend as much as they want to yet still have a lot of money left, however reality is if you give many people one million dollars, most of them will still find a way to get their finances to a level where they have to go back to working again instead of retiring. I am one of those people, if you give me a million dollars, or even 10 million dollars, I would probably spend more than I should and go back to working after a while.

Thats the same for anything not really just wins off gambling or lotto.   Pay off your big debts like house mortgage, boring stuff really but you increase your security by reducing the debt and day to day spending like housing or rental costs then it makes you richer even while you sleep.   In the end you cant help but be better off, any gamble bets should be kept to minor pocket book money and roll over a portion of the wins possibly.
Crypto is useful because its segregated from FIAT so I consider it a bit safer for anyone who gets carried away as its not got a direct connection to your main bank account or salary so I'd hope nobody is spending cash they need for future bills.   Ironically its safer then mainstream betting avenues in that way.   The stuff they allow through like scratch cards by the shopping till is tempting people to over spend.
I wish paying off debt really made you richer but for some reason there are people like me who will never learn and as soon as I am done with one debt I start to build another one and that just never really stops. Unfortunately we have corona virus out there right now which causes us to stay at home so I am not really making any more new debts and almost finished with my current one (will be at the start of next month) but I am 100% sure there will be another big debt coming in as soon as this lockdown ends.

This is why people like me should always invest into assets that can't be liquidated that easily, if I get that 200k, instead of paying debts or something, I would definitely go buy a house, I can buy a really really cool house here and I already own my own so I would basically just rent the extra one and even if I can't, simply just having that there, increasing in value over years is more than enough for me.
