2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 06, 2022, 10:22:03 PM
I follow you with your opinion, I also see the same maybe because of age Nietes will not be the same as he was but with the discipline and proper trainings before this rematch, the chance of him winning again is very possible, he and his camp though needs to review every fights that Ioka have and see what particular edge if there's some part that they can still gain the advantage.

Though, home-crowd may affect Ioka's performance and he can be more aggressive, which Nietes needs to anticipate and follow in the

right strategy to counter Ioka's attempts.

After some thought especially the place of the event, why am I thinking that Nietes is more likely to lose if ever the fight goes to score card?  I don't know but I have a biased feeling that Japanese judges would declare their boxer winner regardless of the ring performance.  So I think for Nietes to get the title, he needs to floor the champion or else there is a huge possibility that Nietes will lose the fight.

Depends on situation because if we see Nietes knock off his opponent well maybe the judges will  struggle to find some loophole to make their favored fighter to win so Nietes need to score more solid punches or much better score a good K.O to seal this fight. But I'm confident that Nietes will get this match because seeing how good and still his in good shape we can say that he's still have advantage to take the win on their match up.

There's no reason to be anxious because Nietes may not knock Ioka out (Nietes also don't have pretty KO ratio) but it's already safe to say that he will give his best when it comes to landing solid punches that will give him pretty scores compared to Ioka. The latter is much younger but their gap is not that far and this is a rematch so Nietes already know Ioka's sleeve and what he could bring this time. Nietes have also prepared well considering his age but his still rip without traces that he's already 40 years old.
2202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff account frozen on: July 04, 2022, 12:38:48 PM
I hope he realized it now, once we put our money in the bank, we are not in control of it anymore, they can close it for any reason that violates their rules, and sometimes we don't know that we have already violated the rules. So the best way is just to store our money in crypto, we can have full privacy and we can access it anytime we want.

When your account is even suspected for violation, they could freeze it pending investigation, and even if you will be able to get your money if proven you don't commit any crime, still that's a hasle on your part.

@OP, I think the post is a bit misleading, it's not the account but the bank itself was closed.

here's the full article.

2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 04, 2022, 11:49:20 AM
Looking at the current odds:

ML
Alvarez - 1.21
GGG - 3.95

So that is a huge disparity as far as the odds goes and they seems to really favoring Alvarez here. Maybe the age factor is what this bookies are looking at, GGG just won his last fight, while Canelo lost to Bivol. I think it's a great odds for GGG supporters this early as it is very attractive.

Agreed but do you not speculate GGG to be very underestmated for this fight? Canelo has only recently lost to Bivol. It was on a higher weight division, yes, however is Canelo ready for this only months after the loss? Bivol has also showed everyone the style on how to win vs. Canelo. Also, do you see this fight to reach round 12?

Definitely, GGG is underestimated here against his arch-nemesis. There fight has been so close that others argued that it could be GGG 2-0 or GGG 1-0. But we all know that Canelo has been given special treatment and even after coming from a humiliating lost, they still call him the favorite in this fight when that huge odds in the beginning. I will just be basing on their last fight, those lasted full 12 rounds, both have a tough chin, so yeah, it will reach 12 rounds in my book again.

I don't call it special treatment, maybe a lot of people still believe that Canelo is the better fighter and he could beat GGG again. Well, personally, I think that's wrong, but I would not complain and say Canelo has a special treatment, instead, I will just take the opportunity to bet on GGG with that sweet odds.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking misconceptions about Crypto Currencies on: July 04, 2022, 11:15:43 AM
It is up to us to debunk misconceptions about Crypto Currencies...
Unfortunately, some people as a result of the misconceptions that they have accommodated, they have even without knowing taken wrong conclusions that crypto is not good for them, while others that crypto is a scam. As crypto hodlers we must try as much to assist those who have been ill informed with proper information and proof. In trying to debunk a certain misconception, we must do it constructively and not in a manner that can mistaken for being rude or forceful.
It's either it's good for them or not.

The two groups would think.

[1] crypto is a scam, we should not invest it.
[2] crypto is an opportunity, it will give us big return or easy money.

Both are a wrong perception because even the number two that believe bitcoin will give a big return but that is like thinking bitcoin is a ponzi scheme, therefore it's automatic wrong because there's a risk in investing and you could also lose. Big return is not guaranteed, and bitcoin as a scam is not also true because exchanges are regulated by the government, and no government would regulate a scam.
2205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops vs Bounties on: July 04, 2022, 10:02:32 AM
Can you make more money participating in bounties or airdrops?
I remember the heyday of airdrops and bounties run by Sylon, I've experienced Airdrop results at incredible prices, not anymore, either there are lots of airdrops and bounty scams, but I often see complaints suffered by airdrop and Bounty hunters nowadays, unpaid or worth zero, Few years ago around 2017-18&19 yes, now no.
2017 -2018, that was the year when bounties and airdrop are really worth participating in, many hunters got decent rewards and value for their participation. But for now, that was very opposite, I can't even find legit bounties, and much more with airdrops.
I can also remember Sylon, he run and manage several bounties but look at now, he's gone totally and that might be because he is tired enough to look for good projects to manage as many of these days are just scams that could also ruin their reputation.
2206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: July 04, 2022, 09:29:29 AM
This is actually true. Not because that bitcoin is very strong and is never going to die but actually because all these headlines are just planted carefully by big institutions during the bear run in order to shake the money out of the weak hands directly into their pockets. Not only they create FUD they will even shake the price along with that FUD. If you study Wyckoff distribution you will realise how true this is. So he is really right in suggesting to buy whenever the market has FUD.
Because they have the influence, they can easily make FUDs and shake the market to win their goal. Weak hands will absolutely sell their Bitcoin at a lower price, then these whales take advantage of it. I'll read in the newspaper, on social media, and even on television, we can hear negativity citing Bitcoin is already dead. Those who already do not know the nature of the market will certainly believe it but for us who are here for many years, we just simply ignore these things and even accumulate more.
2207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What can be done in this situation? on: July 03, 2022, 11:59:49 AM
What can be done to a bounty manager that failed to update the spreadsheet since the beginning of a bounty campaign till the end of the campaign and even after he did nothing, if you are wearing such signature campaign what will you do? Since you need to promote another project.

That's not a good manager, he is not honest to his participants, there should be proper communication so you guys will not end up promoting a bounty for free. It's given, bounty does not make a lot of money nowadays compared to the past (2017), that's why we don't want to waste our time and effort, a manager like that does not deserve to handle a bounty.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 03, 2022, 11:18:03 AM
So this is already a rematch?

Sorry, but who wins the first fight? Honestly, I don't know that it's already a rematch, but regardless on who wins the first fight, I think I will still bet on Nietes to win. By the way, do we have the betting odds already on this fight?

It's a rematch, you can see the highlight of the first fight in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAQpCGOC0k4

In that fight, Nietes won, so let's see if  Kazuto Ioka will be able to bounce back from that loss.
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Opposite always happens on: July 03, 2022, 09:01:30 AM

OP is not buying that BTC had reached its bottom. After all the disappointments, its really hard to believe it could bounce this time. DCAers loss money every time they  heard the word bottom.

It could  be true though. $17K, $13K or $10K may just be the last chance for someone who doesn't have at least 1BTC yet. But not everyone has $10K actually. Not this time when everyone had spent their cash on gas and products which prices spiked up to 30%.

Ohh, poor people will miss again while rich people take advantage of the situation.

Anyways, I wasn't really convinced that the price of Bitcoin went down below $15k, I still believe that whales and institutional investors will rescue and help the market from falling badly. Their participation influences the market flow, it has to notice that people are buying once they heard good news from whales as they assume that the pump will come at the moment they will hear they are buying as well.
2210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do real traders care about bear & bull market? on: July 03, 2022, 08:19:11 AM

Talking about a real trader is indeed ambiguous and what are the definite benchmarks so that someone can be said to be a real trader,
but apart from that simple things or simple principles that you say we really need to know,
like when it's a bear market right now where it is necessary to take advantage of this opportunity to buy and vice versa when it's a bull market it's a moment to sell
Real traders are those who take major risks without a doubt and will continue to trade in any market condition. And of course, they are too smart and they will never make decisions too fast, even buying and selling - they'll go with thorough market analysis and that includes price trend. They have a deep market understanding and experience which finds easy for them to analyze - that was their advantage. And to ask if they care about the market situation? That was very certain but never it give them worry if it dump, they will a take short buy while waiting for another (short) pump.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 01, 2022, 07:50:17 PM
Anyhow, just like what others have been speculating, no offense to Butler, but I don't think he has what it takes to take the Monster and bet him. It's good that he got the WBO belt, but he really talks trash about Casimero back then. So they should fight Casimero first, or WBO ordered the fight and whoever be the winner facing Inoue, that will be the perfect setup match.

We do hope that WBO will grant Casimero's request to allow him to become the mandatory challenger for Paul Butler.

It's reasonable to be asked for knowing Butler really didn't fight the real champion although it was Casimero's fault why it turned out like that. If ever granted, I hope a responsible Casimero will emerge this time. It's hard to deal with Inoue if Casimero continues to struggle with his maintaining weight problems. Boxers need to be at their 100% health status when facing the Japanese monster.

I do hope that a title defense will happen first on Butler before Inoue will target the last title at the Bantamweight Division to become the undisputed champion.

I'd like to see that to happen too so that we can see a much more interesting undisputed match in bantamweight division than a Butler-Inoue fight, surely a Casimero-Inoue fight will be more engaging if indeed it will happen soon because I know that Casimero can really defeat Butler if our compatriot can make it through his weight struggles.

But if Casimero will again have the same problem (I seriously hope not) then I think, he should move up even if his power will somehow decrease because moving up in other division will be his only chance in this industry to lessen his weight problems.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2022, 07:29:57 PM
How about Karl-Anthony Towns signing a 4 year deal for 56 million per year? That’s crazy money. I’m not sure KAT is worth that much considering he’s never really won anything and he seemed jealous of their new addition Anthony Edwards, who some think to be the team’s best player. I think this contract is going to really hurt them going forward, but they must have felt it was necessary. That’s crazy money though. About 20 million per year more than he is probably worth.

It's good though, I mean he become their franchise player, won a 3 point shootout last year and then have a good season. Time to reward him with this kind of money. Him and Edwards seems to blend more, D'Lo though might be their problem. I'm seeing that they are going to trade Russell and build around KAT and Edwards for the future. Hopefully, KAT can compensate them next season by bringing them into the playoffs again and get past the first round.

He is a versatile big man, I think he is one of the best big man in the NBA now, better than Jokic (IMO), so I think he really deserves that huge contract. It's a shame if they will not give him a max contract, he might be stolen by other team, and if Lebron gets him and dump Davis, that would make the Lakers a championship team.

This is why he deserve that huge contract he get and for sure if Nuggets didn't give this huge offer for sure there are other teams can offer the same contract he gets. Its not shame for him if Nuggets will not give them a max contract to Jokic but rather its a huge loss for them knowing how big the contribution he can bring also I believe Nuggets will not be a good contender if Jokic will be out of there picture and go to another team.

They certainly don't want Jokic out of their team that's why the Nuggets made a tough but good choice on offering him a max contract worth $264 Million if I'm not mistaken. For sure the other teams in the league will keep on offering contracts on their big man if they wouldn't do something to keep Jokic and I'm seeing the LeBron is already looking at him before the supermax deal went through.
2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minor Protection From Gambling on: July 01, 2022, 06:56:57 PM
The father's decision to quite these activities was already good enough to make an example that gambling is not for everyone as it could concern their money and their future if they're addicted. I guess he don't want to see his children that he's into gambling that's why he made a decision to stop it for good.

But it is too careless for a parent to let their children watch them gamble without explaining what they are doing or anything which leads to a misconception in a child.  Luckily @AbuBhakar doesn't find fun in gambling, he values money and the effort to produce it than indulging himself in a get rich quick mentality.

I agree, bringing a child in a gambling house or in a casino is really risky because the child is looking at their father as an idol and majority, every child wanted to be like their father when they grow older. So bringing them in that kind of place will put a fallacious seed in their brain and thinks that gambling is fun and easy to do without understanding the risk. Sooner or later, that child will try what his father did just like @AbuBhakar did.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: July 01, 2022, 06:36:36 PM
^ Maybe that's a mistake on Fortuna side to bad mouth Garcia using his "mental" state issues. Fortuna claim that Garcia duck him in their first fight and hide on the reason of that.

Quote
“He’s talking a lot of trash to me, saying that I made an excuse with my mental health, that it wasn’t real, that I was a coward for it, and I’m a duck, I just want to avoid him. Well, I believe when he’s in that ring with me that he’ll find out real soon that ‘oh, there’s nothing scared about this guy.’”

https://www.badlefthook.com/2022/6/23/23179821/ryan-garcia-warns-javier-fortuna-not-quit-next-fight-dazn-boxing-news-2022

So this might be something personal for Garcia now that Fortuna touch a sensitive topic about Garcia and then make fun of it.

Well, that sounds pretty interesting to me. I'd like to see Garcia so fired up especially now that he got more reasons to end the fight with an impressive results unlike what he got last time against Tagoe. Garcia just needed some extra push to get him back on track and unfortunately, Fortuna is the one who gave him that extra push he needed and that will make him regret soon. I just hope that Garcia can really back his words.

He is always fired up, just see how he goes on Tank during his fight against Romero. He even goes as far as to talk to Leonard Ellerbe of Mayweather promotions and ask for a fight with Davis. So we will see in his second fight coming if he is on track or not. So he better perform above against Fortuna, show us his power and should win by knockout.

Yes, but that actions he made didn't impress me even a bit because he still have a situation that he needs to settle, and calling with the likes of Davis now won't help him. He should help himself first to get out on his current state and give the people what they wanted to see for a long time, and that's the old Ryan Garcia. He doesn't have to worry himself about giving some early hype by talking Leonard to fight with Davis because he already have his own fans who still believes in him and giving his name a hype.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 01, 2022, 06:13:28 PM

I trust him now because I like the fact that he is listed as an underdog in this fight, looks like a little insult on him since he is supposed to be the favorite as a champion. Well, looks like bookies have listened to bettors or some bettors are pounding Magsayo that's why there are some odds movement.

Odds now are as follows.

magsayo 1.88
Vargas 1.83.

That was the odds probably many see Vargas will win the game.  Since Vargas's performance in his previous weight class is exemplary having a record of 35 - 0 with 22 KO in his arsenal. Having more fight experience than Magsayo who has 24 - 0 with 16 KO, many sports fan thinks that Vargas has the upper hand between the two boxers.  Regardless, this is a test for Magsayo and I also hope that he will prove himself to those who doubt him being the champion.

Exactly, it's a big fight for Magsayo but if he could prove by winning the fight convincingly, people will not doubt him anymore. He is a champion for a reason, though there are fights that we don't fully believe he won but he is the champion now so we have to respect him. I hope Magsayo would really give a good fight and finish Vargas early in this fight.

Mark Magsayo should just get used to it because there will be always some people who will doubt his skills especially now that he's still trying to make a legacy to his name in this industry. He should just focus himself with his trainings to defeat Vargas with an impressive ending and a knockout will definitely shut those who doubts at him, maybe not for good but at least he will show his talent once again.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 30, 2022, 08:33:08 PM
So this is going to be his biggest pay, if my theory is right. So probably guarantee of upward to $8 million, and Spence around $10 million.

Agree with you. Since there is no doubt, that this will be Terence Crawford's biggest fight in his career, expect that this is also the biggest paycheck he might receive regardless of the result. Errol Spence Jr. is considered as the King of PPV and will surely grab more audiences making the purse big.

If I remember it right, back then, when Crawford was offered to fight Pacquiao, a guaranteed $10 million is being offered to him, win or loss. It stated that amount will be the highest paycheck that Crawford will receive in his entire boxing career. Just correct me if I'm wrong here.

Here against Spence, he might earn more than that even the purse split will be 60/40 in favor of Spence Jr.

That's what I call a big haul, for Crawford it's the opportunity to show a lot in this fight, it's clear that Spence has a huge advantage against him, it's understandable, the numbers give a lot of information, and given that the statistics in boxing they are a great tool for bettors, it is something that is not in doubt, however it would be interesting to see if Crawford makes history here, for Spence I see this fight as an incentive with an air of pressure, he knows that he should not lose, here Both boxers will play it all, this fight for me will be the best of the year, against all odds I admire these boxers a lot, they have a very exquisite technique and apart from that both are very intelligent in the fight.

The way I see it, I don't see Spence having a huge advantage over Crawford. Both are on their prime years, they are undefeated and champions, maybe Spence has more belts but in terms of advantage, I think they are just even.
About that, I will lean a bit for Crawford even if he's much older than Spence but both of them are still on their prime and experience will say it all as that will be the boxer's advantage to have an advanced IQ in the ring. That said, Spence can still be dangerous as ever and Crawford knows that but I will still settle for Crawford on this match. I really hope this fight will happen, I feel that these boxers are just taking us a for a ride.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2022, 08:01:59 PM
Kyrie has opted into his contract with the Nets. He’s secured his bag, now he needs to find a team to trade for him. By opting in, he ends the Lakers speculation that LeBron will get him to sign for the minimum and then get him his Nike deal back.
Good for him. It's the most practical decision to make given all the circumstances. He could still try with KD for another season and split up if they fail. I'm pretty sure Kyrie will still have a good value by then unless he gets seriously injured.

Quote
This is sparking talk that Kevin Durant might join the Suns… That would be interesting. I don’t think it’ll happen, but there’s talks happening…
CP3 and KD in one team is an intriguing proposition to be honest. I would love too see that but it's a tough trade to pull off. Suns will have to give up a lot for this to happen.

Kyrie Irving will always be a valuable asset to any given team that's why there's still teams out there who would want to acquire him but upon acquiring him, they also have to deal with Irving's selfishness and he's thinking that he's that really entitled because of what he can bring to the team.

CP3 and KD in the same jersey is really an interesting to thing to see and lot's of fans are surely want to see it but yes, that will be an expensive acquisition for the Suns and I don't think they can afford to trade their current roster.
Suns are gonna trade Deandre Ayton, if they could work a deal for KD that would be a very impressive team next year. The Suns already had the best record in the West last year, imagine adding KD to CP3 Devin Booker, Crowder, Cameron Payne, and Bridges. Warriors would be in some trouble.
Deandre Ayton surely won't be enough if KD will go in the Suns, the team should let 2-3 players go in-exchange for KD. But rumors says that Ayton will likely end up in Hawks or Spurs but both said teams are not giving him max contract for now, they still want to test him for atleast a year before reaching that kind of agreement.

I think by Kyrie opting in, that pretty much means they're going to run it back with KD, Kyrie, and Ben Simmons.  That's going to be one awkward preseason...  I don't think they have any chance at making it work though.  Between stories of Kyrie insulting Nash in his own house, "can I see Kobe's MVP trophies?" and rumors of a rift between KD and Kyrie, not to mention that nobody seems to like Ben Simmons, and them making the Finals seems impossible.  We'll see...  Aging world class talent and disfunction didn't work too well for the Lakers...

That's the biggest problem of the Nets because they have two selfish players in their own roster, first there's Kyrie who left his team hanging especially in the times that his presence needed the most because he denied to get vaccinated even if he has a contract to fulfill.

And there's Ben Simmons who's still a problem to the team because of his mental issues that are still under construction as of this moment and the team don't know he can really play or will he play at all.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minor Protection From Gambling on: June 30, 2022, 07:40:55 PM
This is true and I personally experienced it as a growing child. I have a father that’s already quit on gambling but witness him doing it when I was a child before he finally stop, I become curious on what is it and entertained at the same time because I saw that he manage to grow his money by just playing around. And then I personally try it and suffer loses and that time I realized that gambling is not easy. After that, I’m not that much excited in gambling unlike before that I only knew that I can grow my money by just playing it without even thinking about the risk involved.
Are you still actively gambling and your dad knows it?
I think if he finds out then he will warn you to stop because he has reason and experience to quit gambling. Even if you are not very passionate about gambling but the location around you may not completely stop gambling and you are still playing small slots in gambling. I think you should follow your father's decision from an early age to stop gambling, because it will be difficult to leave gambling addiction if you are used to gambling due to influences from around.
I think that @AbuBhakar is not that active in gambling activities anymore because he said that he/she is not that excited anymore after he/she found out that gambling is not that easy thing to do and the risk was realized later after he/she experienced it.

The father's decision to quite these activities was already good enough to make an example that gambling is not for everyone as it could concern their money and their future if they're addicted. I guess he don't want to see his children that he's into gambling that's why he made a decision to stop it for good.

As I expected, Mark is going to be the underdog here, several pages ago, there was argument as to why Mark will be the underdog. So I guess crypto sports bookies knows a thing on two on this fighter and put Vargas slight favorite.

But I guess this is a good chance for us to bet with Mark since we are going to support him. Still very good and attractive odds in my opinion.
Doesn't matter for Magsayo if he will be listed as underdog, the outcome will not be based by how the bookies list him. Instead, that will be a good opportunity for us if he's really going to be listed as underdog in our favorite sportsbook but I doubt it for now, I guess he will still be listed as the favorite to win. Well, we will know it soon and maybe next week it will be posted.
