2221  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Celebrating PrimeNumber7 #Legendary 0.001 BTC Prize on: July 08, 2021, 12:47:42 PM
I'll pick 06 thank you.

I've earned twenty-four merits in just the last thirty days alone, so that should qualify me for a spot in the competition...
(This is post # 7,600 too by the way)
Good-luck to all entrants.

I've corrected my above post due to the media having been talking about two breaches in the same news cast.  I mistook one venue (a luxury motel) as the venue for the Dragon's party, however the player held the party at their own home.  The Dragon's have cancelled their contract as well as the various fines by the NSW police and the NRL's integrity commission.

Congratulations to the following for making it to the Women Semi-Final: Sabalenka, Pliskova, Kerber and Barty

Semi-Final 1: Sabalenka vs Pliskova
Semi-Final 2: Kerber vs Barty

I've got three bets that I placed prior to the tournament commencing:

I'm going to be a little upset if Kerber wins given I hadn't placed a wager on her winning.  Good luck to all four players (including Kerber).  Not long now until they play.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours on: July 06, 2021, 02:53:14 PM
I wouldn't put any money on the Dragons this round given nearly all of the team have been suspended for one week for attending a party during Greater Sydney's ongoing Covid Lockdown.  Each player has been fined (IIRC) $50,000 AUD and eleven people at the party have now tested positive to covid.

*edit* the media were talking about two breaches in the same news cast.

Can you provide details on whether or not this is an approved piece of merchandise from DC Comics that holds the copyright to the Bat Man logo and associated imagery?  I can't see anything in the images that indicated a copyright logo/information.

Thanks/
2226  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB- 2021 1oz Niue $2 NZD Bitcoin Silver Coin BU on: July 06, 2021, 02:38:44 PM
Is this legal tender in New Zealand?

Quote
Denomination: $2 NZD

Yes. Wink

NO.

Niue is its own sovereign nation and as such it (the item being offered above) is a notional currency given that it purports to being silver bullion.

https://www.europeanmint.com/2021-1oz-niue-bitcoin-silver-coin/

New Zealand does not have its own Royal Mint and as such any company calling itself "New Zealand Mint" is not an official Government mint - it's just a company churning out tokens with a nominal denomination via a Pacific Island nation.  (Like the Franklin Mint, or Downies is Australia)...

As you can see on the website, the "coin" does not say New Zealand, rather, it says Niue.

Earlier today Jabeur defeated Swiatek so she will meet Sabalenka in their quarter-final. British wildcard Raducanu will meet Tomljanovic later on Court One to decide who goes through to the quarter-finals. Barty just won her match against Krejcikova 7-5 6-3 and I think she will at worst be a losing semi-finalist or runner-up and at best I am sure she can win the tournament.

I really thought Cori Guff would have won her match against Kerber:  (Not that long ago she paired with Ash Barty in a Women's Doubles' competition - which they won!)

Australian media are gushing that the quarter final of the 2021 Wimbledon Women's Final is an All Australian affair.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TENNIS: Wimbledon 2021 on: July 05, 2021, 12:57:59 PM
The overarching tennis thread is overarching, this thread is more specific and considering it was created a few hours ago it seems to have had the desired effect by attracting enough attention from tennis fans. In my opinion no single overarching thread should have a monopoly but I know some will disgaree.

I mean no disrespect as I'm sure you already know, but the 2021 Wimbledon season has been underway for more than two weeks with pre-entry games then the first couple of rounds having already been played.

FWIW I feel Ash Barty might just win her first Wimbledon ahead of her joining the rest of the Australian 2020/1 Olympic Team in Tokyo in the next few days.
2229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TENNIS: Wimbledon 2021 on: July 05, 2021, 11:47:19 AM
Why exactly is this a self moderated thread in the gaming section?

The fact that Wimbledon is in its second week for 2021, added to the fact that there is an overarching Tennis thread (not to mention that this is a self moderated thread - which goes against my core beliefs of enabling a fair discussion to be able to take place) means that I regret to say I won't be making further posts in this comment, but will nevertheless read along (as long as this post doesn't get deleted that is).

I can't say I am shocked, many places that does pvp gambling on sports usually stops, there were two other places that did before here and they had to stop as well because it wasn't making any profit at all, people weren't betting on that. I guess its odds thing, people heavily bet on the favorites and then that makes the odds horrible for the favorites, which in the long run great for the underdog gamblers but it still means people will not bet on those odds for too long and go with other places that offer higher odds. Maybe deciding what the odds should be shouldn't be our choice? Cheesy.

I've got to admit I did enjoy checking back in to see the changing nature of the various bets' tallies over the course of a few days/weeks and be able to see exactly how many people had placed wagers on the various contenders, the payouts on offer and the prize pools etc.

I'm hoping that the recent advent of FUN tokens into freebitco.in is the only reason for the lack of available spots to place bets on and that there's not any underling restrictions placed of the site by any govt agencies that are jurisdictional.

Thanks again.
2232  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: July 05, 2021, 11:29:13 AM

Reading through the two news articles it's clear Cryptopia had very lax security, either through gross negligence, or, as a means for other employees (Owners?) to mount an exit scam at a later date.

It's interesting that the thief (obviously a Christchurch residence) has name suppression.  I'll be keeping a watch to see if any pro-cryptopia forum members suddenly fall silent.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 04, 2021, 09:19:49 AM
Damn, too bad you lost this multiple, that would be a nice win! But I often have the same, most of my multiples I lose because of 1 match.

Tell me about it!  I'm not sure I want to do such a big set of players in a parlay for tonight's games.

I've got individual bets on Aryna Sabalenka 1.53, Ashleigh Barty 1.36, Cori Gauff 1.79 and Karolina Pliskova 1.91  (I think Elena Rybakina is in with a good chance against Aryna Sabalenka).
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours on: July 04, 2021, 09:05:22 AM
Ha Ha, yes it was a BAD miss that last kick. It was a crucial moment in the game, it happens though.

Just when we thought it was going to be easy betting against The Broncos, along comes Kotoni Staggs and things change, they beat The Sharks 26-18.

So im 3 from 4 this weekend in the NRL, not bad.[/size]

I was beginning to think I just had a perfect round: and then three of my pics got turned upside down:  Five from eight didn't quite cover the losses in the three that didn't win.  (But it makes for a good story in any case)

Yes, the Storm clouds are definitely forming for some of the sides in the 2021 NRL Round 16 this week kicking off in a little over five hours time.

My calls for this week follow the same top eight over bottom eight - Storm, Dragons, Panthers (should be a great game with the Eels putting in a solid effort),  Raiders, Cowboys, Sharks.

The Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs are just about paying even money.

I got in early with a 6.98 on Qld in the third game of the State of Origin - the price has dropped to 4.96 for Qld.

2235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ABC and POS on: July 04, 2021, 08:38:47 AM
It might pay to read the entire article...

Bitcoin ABC users are required to exchange their coins for XEC tokens AND the swap is going to be on a 1:1,000,000 ratio.

In other words, each one Bitcoin ABC coin you have will become one million XEC.

Add to that

The developers also noted that the given is not an obligatory measure.

Meaning it's not actually being adopted by the Bitcoin ABC community via a consensus move, it just yet another instant token that's been rolled up like a joint.

Be prepared for tears down the track.

I've got my bets in for Wimbledon

I miss being able to place wagers on various soccer games (and was even able to bet on the Oscars & Rugby League games for a brief while there)  Hopefully they will come back at some point.  Any hints when that might be?
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 03, 2021, 05:22:51 AM
Ok I did a 5 bet parlay in tonights matches just to have some fun

Djokovic + Baustista-Agut + Schwartzman + Christian Garin + Rublev  = @4.02.

It's all ML, hopefully those players are going to win, Djokovic might be a sure win as the odds is 1.01, Lol. The highest is Diego Schwartzman @1.85, although Diego has been playing very bad in the last couple of tournaments, it might be different in grass though.

OK, this hurt:

Previously I'd forecast my pics for who will do well at Wimbledon, however, I only added Sloane Stephens in as a last minute addition as she'd done well in her previous match.

My pics in the Women's Tennis at Wimbledon are as follows:

All the Anastasia's (various spellings) Cori Gauff,  Jennifer Brady, the Pliskova's, Petra Kvitova,  Elena Rybakina,  Aryna SabalenkaSloane Stephens - anyone against the Williams sisters - and Ash Barty from here in South East Queensland.

Pavlyuchenkova/Rybakina in the doubles too.

I've had some not too bad wins on these Ladies so far this year and I expect their wins to continue over the next few weeks.

Your answer has confused my two separate questions; treating them as one and the same.

But, thank-you for at least in part attempting to answer the second question as it in part answers questions put to you more than twelve months ago by others, not just myself.
