2221  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: May 17, 2023, 04:49:55 AM
Really a good work by @bbigtart.

I wonder how they spotted that user is wearing different signature, hopefully they might be checking each and every user's sig on duelbit campaign sheet; but why? for merits? IMO definitely they deserve much appreciations.

The irony of the matter is that even the bbigtart haven't received any merits for the scam catch at Duelbits thread, rather the merits all came to this thread. I wouldn't care if the user uncovered this scam because of merits but he did great. It could be that both Hhampuz and Royse777 had already sent their weekly pay to the cheat. If not, I would recommend that either of them employ the method of icopress by giving the week's pay to the scam buster.

I don't have merits to give anymore but I left him positive feedback, it's a great job we are concentrating on our discussion that we are not aware of this, this is the first time I read something like this, we must all be vigilant to catch cheaters from now on and help our bounty managers, managers job is not that easy bbigtart is the first to catch a cheater like this, and the cheater is very innovative to think something like this.
Some members will try to do this, maybe in the altcoin bounty campaign we don't know but we should be aware of this now.
2222  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education or 1million dollars on: May 16, 2023, 10:45:38 PM
Financial education has always been a game changer in the financial state of a man, it is the best education a father can give to his children because once you are financially educated, it's near impossible not to be financially stable.
That's true people spend a fortune to get the right education for their children, education is everything it's a lifetime fortune, and being financially educated also means you have graduated and had a stable job.

Quote
Have you wonder why most lottery winners have gone back to square one after winning or most rich kids losing their inheritance due to poor/bad management of funds, it's because they lack financial education.
Not handling your fortune properly is the worst that can happen to you, you have no control over your spending and you basically get the things you want, financially educated is all about keeping what you have and growing it, it's getting the things you need and controlling what you want

Quote
On the other hand 1million dollars is truly a life changing amount of money but if you are not financially educated, you will lose it all on  the long run,
I don't know if anyone sees it the same way I do?
$1 million is small for the financially educated and they know if they will not spend, save or invest it properly it will soon get out of their hands, and it is too big for the uneducated because they think its a lot of money and they can spend more than what they need.

>>snip<<
Thanks for taking your time to provide more details. $350 is quite an amount, and once again sorry for your loss. I am going to create a flag against his profile and also leave him negative feedback.

If you can, please, you might as well edit the original post and include that you just replied here for better visibility. I am going to use the OP link as reference for the flag

Edit:
You can support the flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3165

Supported the flag buddy this is one of the things that worries us here the majority of our posts here in Bitcointalk show up on Google search results based on keywords and a newbie without doing proper research will easily trust sellers of the community, and he is unaware that there are also scammers roaming here in Bitcointalk.
If a newbie is not up to checking details or the pin thread of warning he will easily trust all the sellers in the digital goods.
2224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wrong Predictions as price keep failing! on: May 16, 2023, 03:17:15 PM
Nobody bitcoin price prediction has work this season,
How do you know do you have a list of predictions, there are no exact predictions and predictions varied for every investor and traders.

Quote
I told my friends early January that this year will still be difficult for bitcoin to rise since they're still blocks on digestive and ingestive policies of government, why bitcoin should not stay by government. But they argued me to a fault but I knew bitcoin will not gets to $40k this year. The price will definitely rise but not at the moment. Do you predict the price to any level year?
It's too early to tell about the price we are just halfway through the year, and so many things are going to happen all I know is I'm very positive about the outlook this year, 2022 is a very hard year for us and 2023 a year before the halving is a good time to accumulate, the next halving will probably very different now because we have massive adoption and we will have a deduction of the output, the demand will be greater than the supply.
2225  Economy / Economics / Re: [Article] How ChatGPT Will Destabilize White-Collar Work on: May 16, 2023, 01:11:50 PM

I'm personally skeptical on the ability of machine learning/neural networks to fully replace humans. I think it's more likely that it will boost productivity by performing the more simple and routine tasks, but there will still be the need for human touch. People will lose jobs because now a professional will be able to do the work of 2 professionals, but AI won't do the work of all professionals.

We can point out AI's limitations and we cannot underestimate the capacity and capability of human to get the job done, the developers of these AIs' are not meant to replace human, they developed AI to be a tool to help human makes their job easier and simplified.

It just happens that AI works perfectly because humans aspire to create a perfect tool and because of that perfection, we think that AI will replace humans.

I don't want to think that we are going to be in Terminator-like scenarios, because AI is still limited, Thee AI cannot create AI they will never become creators of another AI and they should not be programmed to create another AI, because a human has insight that we called hunch or intuition while AI just relies on data.
2226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willing my bitcoin to my children on: May 16, 2023, 11:39:38 AM
Investment with bitcoin is good but it have a disadvantages when death occur, bitcoin is not a property which your children can inherits like other properties that is mark able.

That's not true Bitcoin has no qualification for anyone to hold it, it is private keys based so those who own the private keys have access to Bitcoin, all you have to do is to will your passphrase and your private keys to your children, with all the explanation attached to it and everything is good.

Quote
Because my investment in bitcoin I will make sure that they have know bitcoin because of the wallets I will issue to them, because if they are not willing to learn bitcoin I can't force them to learn and understand bitcoin, but when I'm no more the will know the important of knowing the basic of bitcoin.
By that time Bitcoin could be worth ten or a hundred times its value now, why would your children disregard Bitcoin at that time, they will even thank you for saving Bitcoin for them.

Quote
but I'm not planning to die now, but we don't what tomorrow will result out in the future.
We don't know what's going to happen to us or even the future, but it's better to prepare for every eventuality, and willing Bitcoin to your children is such a great idea.
2227  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 10:07:04 AM

So, just last week, this lady fell a victim and she was shouting and crying, the had obviously emptied her pocket and even gotten her phone from her in the process of the gambling.

Based on your story you should not play or be persuaded to play this kind of game of course they will persuade you then they trick you, it's illegal and if you do this here in our country you will be arrested for fraud.
You should be street smart they will pick you and let you play and win from the start so you'll be motivated to win more and surprisingly they will not let you stop playing, you will either lose your money or they will threaten you and possibly harm because you mentioned these are rogue people.

Quote
My thoughts, is this how we often feel when we lose out on a bet??
Do you wish the site can refund your money??
If they let you then they will have to refund other people too, this is business, this is not a game when you bet you must accept the outcome if you have this mindset then don't gamble, people will despise you if ask for a refund

Quote
Gambling should be your choice, you shouldn't let anyone compel or persuade you into it.
If you play in an online casino you can read in their terms that you should gamble responsibly and gambling responsibly means you are responsible for your choice.

2228  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 15, 2023, 11:27:02 PM
We have a saying more money more problems, when you suddenly gain more money your needs are enhanced you suddenly realized what you need and what you want, and luxuries that you once ignore are now within your reach, you cannot expect your income to beat your expenses, because our urge to buy and spend is limitless and we have limited capacity to earn.

Those who can do this

Quote
Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?

are multi-millionaires who can equal their profit to the luxuries they want, I don't recommend people buy more than what they can afford, your needs should be commensurate to your income.
2229  Other / Meta / Re: TALK[img] - Question / proposal to update images in certain locked threads on: May 15, 2023, 10:36:48 PM
But in your opinion, who would do this work, the creator of the topic or third parties?
Admin can delegate one of the staff to do this if the creator of the thread is not active anymore, if the thread was locked by the moderator the creator cannot edit it.

Quote
The doubt that came to me, because of another idea, is whether it really will be considered a violation of privacy to edit (via forum or via BD) a post by someone, without their authorization. Huh
Not at all, in this case, the admin has the privilege to edit everything, all authorization emanates from the Administrator, those threads are useless and unreadable if those images cannot be upgraded

Quote
We have to think carefully about this, because although a user does not appear on the forum for years, he may appear and not like to see that his post has been edited without him knowing.

I don't know about Theymo's take on this if I am the forum admin if there's one section that needs to be fixed I'll proceed to do it or delegate someone to do this, it's my forum I see to it that every section and functionalities of the forum are all working to the benefits of all the users.

I support Timelord on this request.
2230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Cashskull.com - Ponzi scheme on: May 15, 2023, 09:10:47 PM
Avoid any project that promise high return on investments,  in fact avoid altcoin project for now unless the ones you personally discovered yourself that have a working username that suit your own peculiarity and solve real-life problems.

Only a novice will fall for such h h scam,  I checked the bounty thread and I saw several Applications already but that doesn't mean much in my opinion since the majority of them are bots,  that can waste time promoting a Ponzi.

Even if they are bots they can still spread the word about this Ponzi scheme, the operator of this platform have the nerve to post this platform here, and they take the opportunity by using bounty hunters to spread their platform the bounty campaign started 5 days it is good that OP catch them to stop the massive promotion of this platform

OP should create a flag for this project to warn people, anyway if you're a wise investor you're not going to fall into something like this.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some needed features of an online casino. on: May 15, 2023, 02:47:30 PM

I am hoping that people who gamble can still prevent themselves from being addicted on it, there are still a lot of things that we can do to prevent addiction and those gambling websites or application can also help their customer by doing these things.

1. They can use more secured ways to identify the real identity of their customer, the best thing to do here, aside from valid ID is they should add "take a selfie" on identity process.
2. They can also set a time limit of playing for a player, give notification if this would be their last game anymore for today.
3. Set a notification showing how long they've been playing.

With these kind of features, they might actually help or lessen the addiction of a gambler.

These are good suggestions for the sake of players, but will there be casinos that will be willing to implement these features, this could mean losing a big portion of their income, online casinos are not different from offline casinos they want you to stay as long as possible until you lose your bankroll.

The furthest they can do is to advise their players when signing up by recommending to read their TOS which the majority of gamblers will just ignore when it comes to the point about advice on responsible playing.
Casinos are profit-driven and players' urges cannot be stopped by a mere notification, they will only do so when they are completely satisfied or they lose everything.
2232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am confused !!!! on: May 15, 2023, 01:19:36 PM
Good day to you all, I am new here and I will like to get your advice, apart from bitcoin,do you think that there is a high possibilities of making profit from other altcoins.

In my experience yes if you are one of the early investors of these altcoins and you accumulate a lot on their test net period this is where the price is very cheap, but there are a lot of risks, you need to have an insight on what they are bringing and if there's acceptance from the community, I have two tokens where I am part one of the early bird its a big risk but well worth it if the developers kept their promise and there's the adoption of their platform

Quote
Also which wallet do you advise a newbie like me to use to store my coins.
I started on Exodus, Electrum, and MyCrypto and I'm still using these three I highly recommend these three to newbies but always invest time and effort on how to secure your coin, even the best wallet cannot secure your portfolio if you lack the best security measures.
2233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com not paying out my money on: May 15, 2023, 09:25:11 AM
People when losing will find a way to find loopholes and OP did find a loophole and wants to capitalize and exploit it by filing a complaint he wants all the money he lost because Stake supposedly illegally obtain it because of a VPN issue, but on the contrary, OP willingly deposits it, this is a genius plan.
If Stake will allow this, then we will see a lot of similar complaints past and present because of the use of VPN if you win you deserve your winning if you lose you lose it and you should not get it back by trying to find loopholes.

Quote
The fundamental thing you have to take in from this is that regardless of the terms and conditions Stake.com cannot profit from funds deposited illegally, therefore all deposits made minus any withdrawals of course need to be returned to the original source. Otherwise they are running a business which potentially launders money and is breaking international laws.
2234  Economy / Services / Re: [jv]My adsense account+your traffic. on: May 15, 2023, 12:11:04 AM
I have an adsense account for more than 10 years. If you have a website or traffic and need adsense, we can cooperate. If you are interested, skype  19830201

Do you have your own website and want to expand your earnings because, in the olden days, you cannot get Adsense without a website, if I have websites with a good flow of traffic I will just apply for my own AdSense account, Adsense requirements are, the age of the website which is 6 months old and a good traffic flow and interesting and unique content.

So if I have all of these,  why would I share my earnings when I can get one of my own it will be complicated having to share earnings since I'm the one bringing the money in.
2235  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 14, 2023, 11:12:34 PM
Quote
France's Constitutional Council on Friday approved an unpopular plan to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64, in a victory for President Emmanuel Macron after three months of mass protests over the legislation that have damaged his leadership.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/france-retirement-age-raise-64-approved-constitutional-council/

?

The majority of the Unions don't want it
Quote
Unions have vowed to continue protest actions in an attempt to get Macron to simply withdraw the measure.
In a country like ours, our senior workers hate the word retirement because their pension can not keep up with the standard of living, it may be different from France because they don't want it, and it being unpopular in France makes us conclude that senior citizen in that country wants to enjoy the fruit of their labor by retiring early than what was proposed by their leader.

For a rich country where a senior retiree has a lot of benefits, they want to enjoy it as early as possible but for a third-world country a $100 to $200 worth of pension will not be enough.
2236  Economy / Services / Re: [Price-check] price of signature space of an average hero rank poster on: May 14, 2023, 09:40:59 PM
That's me, I want to know!

On campaigns, the price of the average hero-rank poster is from $50 to $100 but if it's all about you, you should be the one to set the price, and it depends on how confident you are in delivering visibility for your potential clients' platform.
Your reputation and other services that you have like if you have a Twitter account with over 5000 followers you can include that, you offer the price and the client will take it based on their needs and what they are looking for a promoter.
2237  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AntiDolos extortion/scam on: May 14, 2023, 08:54:25 PM

1. As we said at Antidolos.com, All reviews are free, and we don't charge for any project.
But if a project wants to use our non-free marketing campaigns, they are welcome to use our extra services.
https://antidolos.com/digital-marketing-services/

Maybe it's the wrong choice of words that you've used because however I read it based on the screenshot of JeromeTash you sound like you are trying to convince the admin to try your service for $1000 to increase the rating of the project, there's nothing wrong offering a premium marketing service but offering to give a good score on your review for a fee is questionable.
If you have a review site and offer premium marketing services, you should know who can avail of that service will you let a project with a very low rating avail of your premium service?
So if I have a low rating in your reviews can I avail of your marketing service?

I don't see qualifications on what kind of project you are willing to promote, there is no Disclaimer and requirement either
https://antidolos.com/digital-marketing-services/

The OP and I had more than 100 DM and you only saw 1 message. Never judge a book by its cover. You don't know what we were talking about before.
Our qualification is that we provide marketing and debugging services only for projects that are NOT scams and have only some weaknesses. If your project is a scam, we won't even talk to you. However, if we see the initial potential, we'll negotiate with you on troubleshooting, resolving issues and marketing so that your score increases over time. But we never twist the facts for money.

You have very long arguments with all of us but you are not showing any part of these conversations since the start of the accusation to refute OP, and I did not judge you right away I go to the extent of checking your site
look for a disclaimer to see what are the parameters and requirements for a project to avail of your service but there is none, go check the other marketing managers here and you'll see that they impose requirements for projects that would like to avail of their service.

Now you're telling me this when it's not even on your website my impression is even a low-score project based on your assessment can avail of your service and that's why you are offering your service to OP even if you told him that he has a low score.

2238  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Gcash at ibang app nhack nga ba or ayaw lang aminin ng users ang pagkakamali? on: May 14, 2023, 02:11:51 PM
Gcash is already compromised I think, kase inaccept den naman nila na fault nila kaya we cannot blame the users kase ang security ng gcash ay sobrang hina talaga.

Imagine, doing your transaction without having any OTP, natalo pa ng mga crypto exchanges na sobrang higpit when it comes to OTP.

2239  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: May 14, 2023, 12:24:03 PM

I'm promoting Sinbad so I would like to be positive, I'd like to think that the site is under configuration for a better one but at least their web designer should have a notification that the site is under maintenance and will soon relaunch, I hope there's no issue on domain ownership and everything will be ok.
Yes, but we should also criticize and make suggestion to improve something.
I wont say only nice things about any service just because I waer their signature.

I'm just being myself  Cheesy I trust the people and projects I work with and am very positive about the project I work with, but I did make a suggestion, and about criticism, I do it in private

So far clearnet is good I hope the admin can change the images in the announcement now that Imgur is blocking Bitcointalk

FIRST TIME HERE
Kudos to the founder satoshi nakamoto and the lunching team of BTC crypto-currency.
It's like a mystery: beyond mere human explanation, what we all enjoy and 80% of the world, mostly youths, working and none working class's aim and admiring and dream currency, was found in 2009.

The geometry progression of this innovative individual idea: BTC, surpasses man and his ordinary prediction.
Generational thanks to the founder and the forum members for sustaining this great and wonderful virtual crypto-currency.

It could not have been possible without the early adopters and this platform who promote the usage and the advantages of Cryptocurrency, the community of believers has passed the hardest and most trying time, and we can thank the early developers and the innovators who contributed to the adoption of Bitcoin, they fave the way for latecomers and doubters and of course for the government to ease up on their restriction.

You are not going to be the last, we will see more new people coming in here and thankful for this technology, its actually heaven-sent just when we are losing our valuable privacy.
