2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 31, 2023, 01:30:55 PM
But let's be clear: there's no easy way to gain people's trust, and making all your information public could have just as many (if not more) pitfalls as benefits.
True. This is why most gambling sites think twice before sharing any of their private details with the public. They end up relying on licenses to help prove their legitimacy ultimately.

Sometimes I feel that a project stating that their team is doxxed just wanted to get an approval from the community without so much effort, but people already learned their lessons in this market.
Many crypto sites used this particular strategy to scam the public and ran away without a second thought(HYIP scams etc).

As per my estimate, the grants may increase by more than 4x. But we never know how the businessmen such as Barclay will give excuses to steal money.
Thanks for sharing the calculations. They make complete sense. Have no idea why @DanWalker came up with the 80% share thought since it logically makes very little sense if you think about it.

The BCCI are corrupt cockroaches for sure, but there is no denying that they deserve a higher share when compared to other boards from the ICC.
2223  Economy / Gambling / Re: Arbitrage betting tips on: January 30, 2023, 06:33:20 PM
With normal beting (gambling) you lose your money longterm. So i think its better to earn some money with arbitrage + bonuses from bookmaker rather than lose money
You are missing the point. Some sites restrict/limit arbers immediately which implies that you will end up earning small profits overall.

Banning users just for being profitable is not a practice that should be tolerated. Sites guilty of that should be ostracised by the gambling community, and we can't blame OP if that happens to anyone.
Arbing isn't something new and sites have been limiting arbers from a long time now which makes sense since they don't want to hand out free money. They are trying to earn and survive too at the end of the day.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 30, 2023, 03:52:34 PM
Crypto gambling sites don't need to be completely transparent, but they need to be transparent to some extent in order to gain the trust of the public.

Some sites reveal their information to the public with good intentions while some other sites do so with nefarious intentions. Being transparent doesn't automatically translate to a trustworthy site.

Trust is earned little by little in various ways. This is why I feel that the team getting 100% doxxed won't solve the KYC issue.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 30, 2023, 02:26:48 PM
Everyone thought that it will be an easy win for India but to my surprise India chase down the target on second last ball of the game. I didn't watched the game but I am very much sure that pitch is definitely for bowlers. Indian batting struggled in the chase or they were in pressure because of first T20 defeat and absence of players like Rohit and kohli. Anyways its a moral boosting win for India.
I was watching the game until Gill got out after which I switched off the TV and finished some of my work expecting India to finish the game within 15 overs. Checked google later and was stunned to find out that they won at the last moment.

If Sky got out during that critical period, NZ probably would have won/drawn the match. Tripathi and Kishan were the main culprits in this innings.
2226  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 30, 2023, 07:33:46 AM
When I bet on sports I don't take any odd Les than 2 odds because the small odds with 90% certainty are the odds that will make you loose that ticket and it will hurt because you actually thought it's a walk over,
But when you place 2 odds and above certainly you won't trust the outcome by 100%, it will be a 50/50 situation you loose you bear your loss you win you celebrate your win, you won't expect too much from the outcome.
Gamblers like placing bets on lower odds in order to improve their chances of winning. Odds of 2.0 or higher indicate that your chances of winning are on the lower side which is why the rewards are higher too.

Also, it's never exactly 50/50 because you forgot about the casino vig which basically gives them a small edge.

Cool thread op, but you didn't mention how arbitrage betting could lead to accounts getting restricted/limited when they get detected for obvious reasons. You should have mentioned that it isn't a risk-free strategy.

So to know how much you should bet on each outcome, you have to apply this formula :

For the first bet : Odds_1st_outcome x Total_Stake / (Odds_1st_outcome + Odds_2nd)

For the second bet : Odds_2nd x Total_Stake / (Odds_1st_outcome + Odds_2nd)
or simpler : Total_Stake - Stake_first_bet
This is helpful, but complicated since there are simpler solutions out there.

Example: https://arbitragecalc.com/

The above site calculates how much you need to place on 2 or more sides in order to ensure a guaranteed profit no matter who wins. Also, betting whole numbers helps your accounts last longer.

What a day for the Indians. First, the Indian women's U-19 team won the World Cup comprehensively. Second, the Indian men's team are decimating the New Zealand team in the ongoing second T-20 match.

Almost all Indian bowlers bowled well to be honest while the New Zealand batsmen performed like crap. Looks like the final T-20 will be the decider.
2230  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: January 29, 2023, 01:51:24 PM
^I did not find who is the first gambler who said this quote or who established this first or it just random advice that must gamblers should not be ignored. We have repeatedly said here and advice to people, "only gamble what you can afford to lose" this quote will remind gamblers not to become addicted to gambling. This is proved that gambling is just for fun not for chasing money, if you do, it will ruin you and probably be the reason for the addiction.
I have no idea who said it initially either, but it quickly became my favorite gambling quote which I remember even in my sleep. This quote helped me stay in the profit zone by not chasing my losses on so many occasions.

However, here is mine from my idol poker player.
“Gambling is not about how well you play the games, it’s really about how well you handle your money.” - V. P. Pappy
Great quote. It basically talks about money management which is an extremely tough skill to master.
2231  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - #1 VIP Crypto Casino on: January 28, 2023, 06:14:19 PM
I think there will be an increase because people will take quick steps to invest especially considering that next year there will be a bitcoin halving of course that is a benchmark for people to buy when this
The halving event is still sometime away which is why I am not expecting a prolonged bull-run unless something extremely positive happens. I think that the market will correct itself soon.

Good luck with doge, shiba, etc. Doge I know, Shiba well, to each his own Smiley
Huge respect for long-term HODLERS like you. Also, shiba is basically my lottery ticket which could explode or collapse depending on various factors.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 28, 2023, 05:40:01 PM
What a failure by the overconfident Indian side playing against Newzealand. I mean non of the Indian bowlers were able to restrict the Kiwi's batter and then we saw Arshdeep Singh giving away 51 runs in just 4 overs. I cannot forget the last over when he started with a no ball. I had that feeling that he would again start that no ball or wide ball thing.

Unfortunately Ishan the Kishan again failed! We as a country and the team management still believe he is the one. According to me, he is just a waste and the Indian team management should give him an opportunity to Shaw. I am confident if he gets that opportunity he would fail as he has shaky hands when playing in an international tournament.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.
Overconfident? How? Giving young players more chances doesn't imply that they are automatically overconfident. Arsh screwed up once again along with Kishan and Gill, but they didn't look overconfident at all to me.

T-20 format is extremely volatile when compared to other formats which is why anything can happen no matter how strong the team is on paper.
2233  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: January 28, 2023, 05:31:23 PM
Invest only what you're willing to lose. This is the quote which makes or breaks gamblers to be honest. This quote applies to any area where financial investments are the priority which makes it even more important if you think about it.

Most gamblers who lose and end up destroying themselves ignore this quote completely.

So wait, Haunebu has no more Bitcoin left? I guess it's great to sell and make profit but it feels like jumping too early before the real rally begins? Or are you waiting for price to go down again? Just be careful not to miss the train. I'm a DCA person so I don't have any real desires except maybe I don't mind waiting until 2025 for a new ATH Wink
Yup. Used to HODL for way longer periods before, but am sticking to shorter periods these days thanks to global economic uncertainties which decreased my patience levels drastically.

Am HODLING some altcoins like Doge, Shiba etc though since they could explode at any time for various reasons.

but yes he can again put some more amounts to allocate some sats with him to make more gains in future.
Will do this for sure when BTC goes back closer to the 16K range at some point later on since I am confident that it will bounce back above 30K once again though it might take a long time for it to happen.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 27, 2023, 05:45:07 PM
NZ outperformed India across all departments to win this one comfortably. Also, Sundar is turning out to be an epic all-rounder and deserves many more chances.

It feels like Arshdeep being the lone soldier i want to see Arsh-Bumrah duo before Arsh gets some issues.
What are you talking about? Arshdeep bowled like crap again while Kuldeep and Sundar were actually the lone soldiers who performed well just like Santner earlier. Siraj and Bumrah should replace Arsh and Mavi.

I would say that it has died down because of the bear market, and we are not 100% sure if it will stay dead during the next bull run. Which means that if they build something like that, like a casino but in a metaverse where you download and be in there and gamble etc etc, maybe it will work a lot during next bull run, maybe it won't. I can't tell exactly, the idea of metaverse is not bad but the executions so far has been pretty subpar.
I don't think the hype will return just because of a bull-run since these kind of events tend not to repeat based on my observations. For example, ICO hype never returned despite multiple bull-runs in recent years.

It's all about the trust factor basically. Once trust is lost, it's very, very difficult to regain the confidence of investors in my opinion.
2237  Economy / Economics / Re: US Gov. on the brink of defaulting, + National Debt Clock on: January 27, 2023, 03:08:57 PM
This isn't the first time that the US has faced an issue of this magnitude which is why I am not expecting anything different this time around either.

Congress will take a decision regardless of the ongoing impasse between the democrats and the republicans and the global economy will be affected to some extent, but it will recover with time.

Only fools would think that the USD would collapse so easily. History will repeat as usual in this case.
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 27, 2023, 05:54:20 AM
The general consensus among Cricket fans is that if they include Cricket in the Olympics more countries will be taking a keen interest in the sport and allocating budget for the sport which will help the sport in the longer run and with the T20 format it is the best time to introduce Cricket for the global audience.
I understand what you're trying to say here, but it isn't guaranteed that inclusion of the sport in the Olympics will help it in the long run since it could actually have the reverse effect and cause a drop in its popularity.

Frankly, the main reason that cricket was dropped from the Olympics a long time ago was because it didn't attract many viewers.

With a span of only 2 days and Bitcoin is already on accumulation phase for more than a week. I believe we might see a big movement on the following days which will break the current price range of 22K to 23K. The highest price that Bitcoin can attain is 25K while the lowest is 21K before the contest ends. I believe this contest will be a close fight since Bitcoin price is not showing abnormal movement that will break the current trend. I’m more on the upside prediction that will govern on this tournament.
BTC has climbed into the 23K range once again and I hope it keeps moving upwards into the 24K range. Global economic recovery definitely helped most of the crypto market rally in an organic manner.

It has clearly proved all the naysayers wrong who thought that this was a bull-trap and nothing more.
2240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 26, 2023, 03:25:43 PM
I don't really understand this whole craze surrounding inclusion of cricket in olympics. The Olympics is usually known for their track, swimming etc events(Not soccer, basketball etc).

I suggest redirecting all the focus towards more important things like domestic and international league development, better salaries etc instead.
