2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 24, 2023, 09:59:56 AM

After being eliminated from the Europa League, Arsenal will certainly shift their focus completely to the Premier League. I'm sure the motivation of the Gunners players will be multiplied when carrying out the rest of the season. Arsenal's next match will be against Leeds. This match is of course not so hard for Arsenal who play at the Emirates Stadium, with the support of their fans, of course Arteta's troops will have more enthusiasm to secure three points.

Leeds must immediately improve their performance if they want to survive in the Premier League. Currently, teams from 12th to 20th place still have the opportunity to exchange positions. The nine teams are still overshadowed by the relegation zone.

Technically, I'd say Arsenal purposely lost the Europa league to focus on premier league, which has improved the team's strength in matches. Look at their next game after losing the Europa league; a 4:1 defeat against crystal palace, with Saka scoring 2 goals. Comparing Saka's performance on the Europa league game against Sportin, it doesn't match in any way. So, leeds is indeed a strong opponent to Arsenal as they wouldn't want to go for relegation, it could be a tough match on the Arsenal team, yet that doesn't clear the fact that the gunners are completely ready to secure the premier league trophy and will do everything in their power to lift it up. And everybody wants to watch Arsenal play, regarding their playing charisma; attractive football and interesting to watch. Good characteristics to prove to the world that they're the right candidate for this premier league game.

When I saw the post eligibility notification, I thought it as a different means of bot verification. The "evil" message has reduced the creation of spam accounts in the forum; spammers wouldn't like to spend money per every account they make. In my view, multiple spammers must have left the forum if they see the requirement to make a post. Other than relaying an email to the admins for manual verification, in the past the fee wasn't that much, the recent amount got affected by the  market surge. Because at some point, when the price of bitcoin was lesser, new members would gladly pay the money; bitcoin at 4k, many visitors would pay the fund compared to today that the price has changed upto 20k and above, when calculated it gets bigger. I also see the money as a means of supporting the forum. The important aspect is that you can now contribute to the forum. Not every member researched for an alternative; to see the whitelist thread. it'll be easier this time, as you've been reading through the contents for better understanding of the forum.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game do you think is a Game of Chance or a Game of Skill? on: March 23, 2023, 09:35:57 PM
All 4 games depends on both luck and chance; playing with others or the house depends on the condition of the game.  The skilled person may find himself in the midst of proficient players. Even, the slot game depends on the machine, a skilled person could get around some bucks in return and also fail if the machine is programmed at a lesser payout. As we keep playing a particular game, our skills improve on that game. Yet it depends on working closely with skilled gamblers to understand the game. They're people who don't make grave mistakes on slot and such people could also quit poker for slot games. Since they all fall in the category of gambling its linked to both terminologies.
2224  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 22, 2023, 10:18:29 PM
Daily, the world is recruiting more of poor citizens, and it's endangering the lives of kids. Since 2020 life has never been the same. People lost their jobs, businesses crumbled, and most importantly citizens lost their lifes. These misfurtunes kept the economy at Bay or its brink; either we succeed or we fail. Getting a side job is one of the best solutions to the problem we face in this world. Please don't convince yourself to believe that money is hard to get, transform that thought to something positive and come up with a legitimate means of getting money online. Learn a new skill. Because only those who lack money would feel the hardship in the world, others who earn some funds don't care if their neighbors eat or not. Always endeavor to care for your family.

I don't think they is a way meme coins would be gaining profits and Bitcoin investors lossing profits. It's certain that they all follow the trend of Bitcoin or pump and dumb method. People who invested in those coins would definitely sell off immediately, which will deduce the price again. No need to feel jealous of the next man's success, because I'm sure my investment also got me profits. I mean we all invested into cryptocurrency.
2226  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet update on: March 21, 2023, 09:55:08 PM
I noticed that when the cryptocurrency price is increasing, transaction would delay compared to when the price is a bit stable. Sometimes, in such situations, trust wallet would suggest automatically a fee that can make the transaction faster like $2 fee depending on the amount you wish to send. Hence trying to set the fee can waste lots of time and you' may end up regretting why the fee was set to a better amount to fasten the transaction. I remember waiting for 24 hrs to receive a payment, I don't know the wallet the client sent with, but I saw on explorer the fee was below $1.
2227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people promote gambling sites . on: March 21, 2023, 01:34:20 PM
Why influencers don't tell their followers everything they need to know about a particular casino website is because they want them to register using the bonus as way to make them join the gambling site, while other influencers see their followers as adults who should know what they're about to go into by reading through the site's Tos. I don't fancy it when people fail to blame themselves, and rush to bestow the blames on influencers who promoted the casino. Every player should learn to take responsibility of their gambling mistakes, as the influencer didn't play the game for him or her, he only referred people to know about a better gambling site, where they can play games and get bonuses. An established influencer has rules and if they accept gambling ads that means they post contents relating to gambling. Subsequently, they must have, in their contents, mentioned tips that'll help a gambler from losing their funds. I can only support these blames if the influencer is promoting a scam casino.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 3 Reasons Why Cytpocurrency Gambling is more Addictive than Fiat Gambling! on: March 21, 2023, 01:13:24 PM
Just to add on the list that you provided, I think it also boils down to convenience and security.

Those are the key reason to online casino gambling that pins people to continue staking games. It shares similar around the clock working hours with the traditional casino; 24hrs/day. And a player doesn't need to pay hotel bills adding to his expenses, it just feels confortable playing at home any time of the day. And the security, in my view is for casinos that still pays out in cash, it'll be risky to go home at night with your wins. I mean gamblers have complained being attacked or robbed off their earnings while going home from the casino. So, many players wouldn't like to face such disputes when they're options like online gambling with cryptocurrency. On the contrary I don't see online casino outsmarting the offline casino any time soon. Nothing beats going out to compete with real people, unlike the online live casino, where players can't be sure if their opponents are bots or human. That's the reason a lot of players would still prefer the offline casino anytime, as they gain networks there too and make friends eventually.
2229  Other / Meta / Re: [Guide] Use Bitcointalk (more) privately on: March 21, 2023, 12:20:42 PM

There is not much to discuss; it is mathematically proven that truly randomly generated passwords are much stronger than real words and sentences. We don't need to mix a strong system with a weaker system, either, that only reduces security.
My mate, I honestly suggest you go and change all of your passwords, now.. Grin

Having strong passwords is good, but 2FA is better because no password is strong enough not to be cracked with a quality config and combolist. A lot of accounts could get cracked using good checkers, so when that happens even if the cracker got the username and password they can't access the account if s/he don't pass through the 2FA requirements. For a forum like this having the question and answer feature set up is also recommended, to enable easy account recovery. Hence, since the forum is not a target to crackers, its nothing to worry about, since the forum account sales market is falling on daily basis. Though, your thread is very excellent, as we are meant to be security conscious online and keeping things private is important.

I also have a question, what happens to a person that doesn't have a picture anywhere online, how can he be traced? if their privacy is leaked that is they don't use VPN, Tor or all the tools you just mentioned, between the forum encourage users not to attach their real faces on the site.
2230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: A website platform where you can list your coins and tokens for free on: March 21, 2023, 11:05:16 AM
I like the settings of the website, it has the necessary pages expected of a responsive website. As for speed, the pages loads faster on mobile, I don't know for PC. Above all, what matters is providing quality to visitors, so that they won't fall into the hands of shitcoins that'll end up wasting their time and money. Also the submission page you have there is quite necessary as you claim to review the projects before publishing. How do you predict a good project before listing on the website? Lastly, why not create an about us page that open differently instead of writing it below the home page, or add a sub topic, About us, to the one you already wrote. Good luck.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think that there are Dark secrets in every Successful Business on: March 20, 2023, 09:18:27 PM
Today I was reading some most successful businessman and other such successful people that are millionaires and also billionaires like Bill gate, Mark Zuckerberg and Other Gamblers that became millionaires because of betting.
My point is that Normal people see only their Success but they do not know that How much dark secrets are behind this.
I want to tell you a story of Successful Businessman in country who is Real Estate businessman and Rich people love to Invest in their housing Schemes. But He Gets access to most valuable land whom he gets it by hook or crook. My mean he Is partially a landlord and he has Done high damage to the poor people and they have lost their homes.
And Normal people do not know these kind of Secrets behind all of this and also on Gambling thing where a very minority of people gets succeeded.
I know that a lot of OP will not agree with me and let's see what are your opinions.

Calling it "dark secrets" makes it sound a little too far. I know that a lot of big corporations have shady dealings but not "every successful business" What most of these big business is do in find loopholes in the laws and exploit them. This is why you can find a company that does business in an unethical way but in the eyes of the law they're not committing any crime. There are things that are not illegal but they're not also ethical.
However i have refused to believe that every successful business is dirty. You can be a successful business that have steps on some toes and hurt a few people in the course of doing business but that does not make you dirty.

Why do we consider successful business men as not humans? They are humans and everybody has done something shady to keep their hands clean. Not to talk of those with power and wealth, who have alot of reasons to remain at the top. They face multiple challenges everytime  and it's rare to find an industry that doesn't have dark histories. For instance, the Hollywood industry had some rough times before the second worldwar, relating to the Union, the likes of Bioff, and mafians; deceits, betrayals and cheating. So, since an average man has a bad side, the rich would also own theirs. Nobody is an exception, but people should learn to mind their business. Perfection can't be achieved on Earth. Black and White has a lot in common such that we can't do without them in our daily activities.
2232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dilemma between focusing on B@bitcointalk and my current paid employment on: March 20, 2023, 02:13:57 PM
What matters, OP, is your physical and mental health, like Z-tight said, though he didn't stress it, but I think it should be elaborated more as the cause of your dilemma. Not the forum nor your job. Take some time to rest your head and stop thinking of multiple things at once. Many people have lost it all by working all day, even those who made plenty of money ended up being fed up from doing such work. I think you should spend few time with family and discuss often with friends. When your head calms down and you think you can do other things then join the forum. I do believe that they must be some free time for every busy person. So, use those time and focus on your health, because writing is not easy and it's the backbone of this forum; consistent quality write-up. In such situations as yours quiting the job won't solve the problem, everyone already told you how far it take before you make a dime here. Don't take a risk you can't withstand, find a way to look for jobs elsewhere, once you land a new job, you can move away from the time exhausting work safely.
2233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trust Wallet on: March 20, 2023, 12:52:16 PM
The site is Verirax.com.
It's a scam.

I mean, it is immediately obvious just looking at it that it is a scam, but if you spent 5 seconds searching online you would find dozens of other cookie cutter sites with different names using the exact same template. Here is one such example: https://ringmining.info/

They said upon completion of paying this tax, they will give me an ETH award double the tax (125091 USDT).
If anyone tells you to deposit money in order to be allowed to withdraw money, they are trying to scam you.

I have no idea how people throw around $300,000 in to any old shit they come across on Google without a second thought. Sorry OP, but you have lost everything. You will also lose any other money you give to these scammers.

Yes, it appears I've lost $170,000. And to make matters worse, I trusted someone online who gave me this info. I've lost everything. I don't know what to do.

Some of the pig butcher sites don't spend much or bother about SEO to rank on google. Like OP said, he trusted someone online who introduced him to the site. Most often they target dating sites and build trust with their victims before referring them to the site. Sadly, it's another loss for the cryptocurrency market. If the money was invested mainly into cryptocurrency it would have helped the network. But, the urge of making quick money in crypto without prior skills has pushed many people to fall into such scams. The only help I can render to you OP is to always research about sites on scambuster sites and also don't trust most people you met online, you see some have bad intentions for you. Stay safe.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 20, 2023, 08:10:57 AM

The Arsenal game made it clear to me that their officials are interested on the premier league than European league, the team has proven to be the capable team to lead the league table. It's better for them to focus on one league than shuffling both European league and premier league, which is the reason they must have forfeited the first mentioned league. Man United on the other hand, got their morale from the penalty kick that topped their goal counts. And I was surprised that they won the game within that short minutes of time. I enjoyed watching the Man United game, because they ewualized the game and won. Unlike Arsenal game they were so many goals.
While other premier league clubs are expecting Arsenal to drop point especially Manchester City who are contending for the premier league title with them, Arsenal has instead been in superb form and playing at the top of their strength

Mikel Arteta has changed the mentality of this Arsenal side and that's the difference between this particular team and the other Arsenal teams that has tried to win the league since they last did the invincibles in 2004. There are still 10 more premier league matches to play before the end of the season but I don't see anyone stoping them from winning the league.

Probably Arsenal is in form to lift the trophy, but football changes not just on the Arsenal side Man City could lose their games too, which will increase the possibility of Arsenal to remain No.1 till the end of the league. Furthermore, Arsenal needs the primier league trophy more than anything, so they won't give anybody the chance to snatch it from them. Like you said, the 10 remaining matches won't be that difficult for Arsenal since they have played more difficult teams and as well won difficult games. The worst possible outcome would be a GG in one game, as they are not prepared to lose any match. Their attacking skill is exceptional, such that scoring goals is not a huge task for the gunners. I'd be glad if they end up winning this season's premier league.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 19, 2023, 10:32:03 PM
Arsenal already closed the game today in the 43rd minute and therefore scored the 2-0 just before the break. Then the game was basically over. Manchester United won 3-1 against Fullham in the FA cup, but the final score does not accurately reflect the course of the game. United had a very difficult time and a sensation was in the air. United were behind until the 75th minute, but it helped United that Fullham received no less than 2 red cards in the 72nd minute. Then something very strange must have happened in that match. But then it was also quickly over because after the 1-1 in the 75th minute, the 2-1 followed 2 minutes later. It was then easy to play football for United against 9 men.
Arsenal having one-sided affair in today game which ends with the score of 4 - 1, and now they are still had good difference from the second spotted Manchester City.

Agreed about Manchester United vs Fulham because until 75th minute I was sure we are going to have another match at home of Fulham but sadly suddenly these REDCARDS change the match momentum in favor of them and Fulham were not able to stop them from doing things like these very quickly 9 men were not ideal situation to stop third best team in Premier League which is looking for the second title in this season after winning EFL Cup few weeks back now they are going to face Brighton at Wembley Stadium for the semifinal spot with most chances we are going to have Manchester derby into final of this year's The FA Cup.

The Arsenal game made it clear to me that their officials are interested on the premier league than European league, the team has proven to be the capable team to lead the league table. It's better for them to focus on one league than shuffling both European league and premier league, which is the reason they must have forfeited the first mentioned league. 2236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time is the most valuable thing on: March 19, 2023, 01:11:28 PM

But there is still a risk in investing, especially as bitcoin and altcoins are high risk investments. There is no guarantee that investing in cryptocurrency will definitely make us rich and can save more time to rest. If things were that easy, there would be no poor people in this world, and we wouldn't have to work so hard to earn money.
Investing is definitely risky be it in crypto or any physical business or gambling. Because nothing will guarantee you a profit.  If you are investing in crypto then you need to invest with a proper analysis and it should be long term then you will be able to be profiy from here. If you are thinking about investing in a physical business, then in this case you have to establish your business first, then gain potential customers and then you can expect profit. And on the other hand if you think of gambling it can make you rich in a very short time but it depends a lot on your luck and your correct predictions. And all this you have to do within a certain time so it is definitely true that time is a valuable thing

Focusing on time over money is the key route to a successful investment, aside cryptocurrency, for people to escape the rat race they'll need to save more time than money. Emphasizing that investment is risky, is an attribute for people who don't want to lose money. If a person is determined to lose money and save time they won't worry about investment risks. Think of it, they is more money in the world than time, which remains a reason for time management. It's better to throw a few thousands on ad today than storing them in the bank. It doesn't help the business in any means. Cryptocurrency is risky especially bitcoin, but the profits it yields comes in multiple folds. The money kept in the bank is not gaining much interests compared to what bitcoin rewards its investors. Hence, while in business, the riskiest move is poor time management, as money cannot finish but time does finish and it'll never return.
2237  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: March 18, 2023, 10:39:11 PM
Bitcoin doesn't have to make everybody in a nation wealthy before it'll be seen as a means of uplifting poor people. If bitcoin can change the life of one person in the nation it has done more than enough to that very nation. Bitcoin has no legs, it doesn't speak or communicate. We, the users of bitcoin, are these amenities bitcoin lacks. So, I think it'll sound better if you rephrased your question to, Can the whales end poverty in a nation with the use of bitcoin? Then I'd say a big yes, because people who are rich in the bitcoin community can decide to venture into the nation and uplift their economy by launching bitcoin startups in that nation, decrease unemployment and teach people how to use bitcoin. With that a lot of people from the nation would join the network and begin to practice blockchain development, writing, designs, marketing etc. These acquired skills will live in them even when the rich bitcoin investors that visited their nation vacates the land. Such unswerving foundation will enable them to work remotely from their nation and make money, the few people who got employed and probably rich will be considered a huge achievement for the bitcoin community. As time goes the nation's bitcoin community will continue to thrive.
2238  Other / Archival / Re: Is there a chance we get a takedown notice? on: March 18, 2023, 10:11:40 PM
Privacy has to do with protecting your actions while your identity is known to the parties you want to be known . Anonymity has to do with your identity and not necessarily with your actions . Someone can see what you do but he has no ability to know who is doing it , including authorities . That's why the law protects your privacy but not your anonymity ( except special occasions like whistleblowers etc ) .
This makes sense, but that doesn't mean I like it. Privacy is a right, but it's implementation relies on trusting others. Our government for instance made many privacy laws, and the same government violates those privacy laws. So I have the right to privacy, but I don't get it.
If, however, I'd be anonymous, I don't have to rely on others for my privacy. I can control it by myself.

Anonymity refers to the state of having completely no identifying information about an individual. Privacy refers to the state of being able to control which information is tied with your identity. This is why I argued anonymity is "full" privacy.
Agreed.

If these terms are not linked to the internet, then, the definitions are correct. Hence, I don't think anonymity on the internet is "full" privacy because we can't be always careful. Full privacy is having nothing to do with the internet. Nguyen practiced anonymity; he made contents on this forum and reddit with information that had no clue to his real identity, but he faced a loophole on paypal. Except a person limits their usage of the internet which is rare, they may not attain full privacy. We need emails, browsers, ISP etc to firmly utilize the internet. Tor, Vpn, hushmail etc can guarantee us anonymity by changing or keeping safe our IP, but that won't work if we are the target of the government. The privacy law has been compromised with the use of tracking tools and third party apps. Once a person's anonymity is raising dust on the internet, that is he/she spreads bad news, carry out illicit businesses or breaks laws, they can easily get traced. Those software that claim to guarantee anonymity online can work for an average user, and fail an illicit user. I'd say that both anonymity and privacy is a term for the real world, that shouldn't be added to the internet. As it'll be hard to attain full privacy online. I don't think, currently, Satoshi is using the internet, that's anonymity.
2239  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Somethings are unique and different Royse777 did today. on: March 18, 2023, 08:47:14 PM
What keeps projects longer on the forum is positive results. If a CM can provide results that makes the project feel like they're not throwing money into the river bank, they'll remain in the forum. Royse is known for providing such results, I could remember he was suspended for sending mass PMs to reputable members to join his Coinplay campaign, which was considered an offense in the forum. That shows he wants the best for his clientele, himself, reputation and profits. So, in my view, he saw the Chipmixer campaign closure a good opportunity to reach out to those reputable members again who could land his campaign the quality results he needs by increasing the funds for VIP participants. Personally, when managing a project and I discover that with extra money I'll get the results required by my client I'd take similar step. What matters is doing a good job, instead of trying to save money and end up submitting bad results.
2240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 18, 2023, 02:47:30 PM
It's a continuous business, so making money will be unlimited as long as they can preserve the greatness of their venues.
But these guys didn't really start their business by making money at gambling first. Correct me if I am wrong. There are loads of stories about people who won in gambling but ended up in a different industry.
A strong example is the founder of the FedEx company.
Quote
In the early days of FedEx, Smith had to go to great lengths to keep the company afloat. In one instance, after a crucial business loan was denied, he took the company's last $5,000 to Las Vegas and won $27,000 gambling on blackjack to cover the company's $24,000 fuel bill. It kept FedEx alive for one more week.[13]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_W._Smith#:~:text=In%20the%20early%20days%20of,the%20company's%20%2424%2C000%20fuel%20bill.
Each list of people above has a different business trip even though some of them develop other businesses from gambling results, but I am very interested in the story of the founder of the FedEx company because he fought for his company even though he had to sacrifice all the money he had in bets, the point is that he quit gambling after he obtain targeted profits to continue the company's business. The important point is that there are no other gamblers because of their greedy attitude to target high profits but in the end they spend funds in gambling, so we can conclude that any high profits from gambling must be diverted to other business/job opportunities to get passive income, gambling must be set funding limits.

Indeed, its an amazing story, after reading his story I thought about, why business owners should be skilled in different ways including gambling. But, on the second flip, I saw his story as the reason behind the numerous failure of CEX companies including FTX; most of the CEOs during interogation or interviews, regarding the failure of their company and loss of investor's money, they'll say, in order to generate profits for investors, they used investment money to gamble. They must have seen Smith as a role model, not knowing that what worked for Smith may not work for Sam. Smith was lucky, despite risking it all, but I'm not sure he would advise anybody to follow such route. Like you said, he knew when to stop gambling, which is the main skill all gambler should acquire, else they'll watch their business fold right in their own eyes.
