2221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: October 09, 2015, 12:31:06 PM
maybe new technology will replace bitcoin Smiley
or maybe bitcoin can grow to new feature,

"The virtual reality" is new concept in future , maybe in future we can use bitcoin at virtual reality network, so we can hold "pisychal bitcoin" with virtual reality  Cheesy

And access our bitcoin wallets as "physical wallets".
Virtual reality is a good concept and it is growing to much in the same time with augmented reality.
But i don't think that these new technologies will affect directly the bitcoin as a digital currency.
2222  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: October 09, 2015, 12:29:11 PM
Hi

this is the official E-Coin thread

Since this is the official E-Coin thread then you should edit the title of this thread.
Because the title means bitcoin debit cards in general and not a specific product.
And maybe it would be better to create another thread self-moderated and remove in future other posts.
2223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallets on: October 09, 2015, 12:27:15 PM

Most of the websites nowadays require at least phone verification.
You "must" do that if you want to use their service(in this case coinbase)
And increase the security level at the same time which is more important for us rather than sending us spam which i still have not got any yet.

Yea I agree, I got phone verification on all my important services: emaill, social medial, etc...

So that these important sites can be recovered. I use the same phone number for 10+ years so it's worth alot of money Cheesy

If you are not careful also the phone verification can be bypassed by hackers.
For example through social engineering hackers can get your verification code from your phone
And access any sensitive information and data in this case the bicoin wallet.
2224  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: October 09, 2015, 12:25:45 PM
For me in 2020 bitcoin will be worth more than 1000$ because during 2020 years surely many people will join in bitcoin world for that will effect on Bitcoin worth

I think that maybe 20years from now that price can be reached.
Because within just 4-5 years it's hard to say that bitcoin price will be 400% more than now.
I speculate that it will reach 100% of today price with will be around 500$.
2225  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: October 09, 2015, 12:22:42 PM
About tree fitty.

Actually, I'd say ~200 would be good.

If we assume the price in 20 years increases by 250% then you should be fine for a while.

It's all about if bitcoin will be still usable and popular in 20 years from now.
With 200BTC you can make good money in future
But i don't think that you can retire with this amount maybe 500BTC+ at least.
2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: October 09, 2015, 12:52:42 AM

My suggestion above was to invest a high amount of money (~1million)
So instead of investing in bitcoins (buying it) you already are stucked there and you are waiting for a higher price to get profit.
A good alternative is investing that money in mining farm and you will get i think a higher profit, but it depends from the country, electricity etc..

But you're up against people who've been doing it for years with tens of millions to spend. Unless you nail everything there's a risk of it all turning to dust extremely quickly.

It's certainly a possibility but the degree of risk is far, far higher than just buying some coins with an amount you don't mind losing and sitting on them. If you've a million or two to secure your future there are much better businesses to be going into.

Why would it matter? You can get electricity for 0.02$/kWh or less, you can buy batches of miners much more easily than a home miner, at even better prices. The conditions are geared toward these kind of buyers and operations.

It's home mining for most thats dead. Investing in a small data center is probably the best investment you can make relating to BTC at the moment.

It really depends on which country are you talking about these electricity rates.
Because in my country it really depends on which season we are.
In winter the rate is high that reaches 0.1$ per kWh and in summer maybe 0.03$, but mining here is not much profitable.
2227  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: October 09, 2015, 12:48:27 AM
I don't think that the time of 100$ per single btc will come again.
Maybe we can wait but when it happens it should crash a lot.
And the price could go more lower than 100$, but for now we are ok.
2228  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallets on: October 09, 2015, 12:46:34 AM
I have one questions which is the best bitcoin wallet Smiley and how do they earn the money since usually they are free?

Thanks in advance

you can use xapo wallet, you can share your xapo referal link and get reward 50bits Smiley
or you can use coinbase wallet, he give some reward too Wink

my best wallet is coinbase Smiley good wallet with sms verification

I hear you man, xapo is pretty neat, they give nice reward for signups i think everybody should join them.

I like blockchain info, because its more privacy friendly, but if you just want money then go for xapo.

I think that to earn this reward you should verify your account.
At least verifying though your mobile number phone, but at least they give reward.
I think that coinbase give reward too, it was 3bits before don't know if it is still available but these reward are nothing, just check which wallet fits your needs and you are ok.

Yea, but they will probably use your phone number to send spam SMS, or if they will sell it to 3rd parties who do that, who knows.

Many companies do that, they collect phone numbers and emails.

Most of the websites nowadays require at least phone verification.
You "must" do that if you want to use their service(in this case coinbase)
And increase the security level at the same time which is more important for us rather than sending us spam which i still have not got any yet.
2229  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: October 09, 2015, 12:44:01 AM
i think that in 2020 the bitcoin price cannot be more than 1000 dollars. Still, its a long way to go to see the price near this mark.

It's all about 5 years from now, and there should be maybe 2 more halving until 2020.
So the block reward will go from 25BTC to 12.5BTC then maybe to 6.25BTC
The price at least should be increased 2 times (big jumps) and it can reach 1000$
2230  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: October 09, 2015, 12:32:57 AM
Definitely just getting a job would be the best way to earn money. You can convert that money into bitcoins afterwards.

This is the best way, and you are happy with your current job and happy investing and earning in bitcoins.

The answer is altcoins.

I use this "method" and most of the time that is very risky.
But you should really research for that coin that you want to invest/trade.
2231  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make a living online? on: October 09, 2015, 12:27:38 AM
I think one can easily make money online for living and without any site is from FIVERR. You need to be creative to provide some unique services in fiverr. If you study the top sellers in fiverr they have made thousands of dollars every month just sitting at home. Now they have opened up some services like video creation services for selling at higher prices not for just $5. So if your really serious in making money online then the best place for you to start is fiverr.

Fiverr is a good way to make money even though it is 5$ in total 4$ are for the sellers.
To have a good monthly revenue you should really have a good unique idea/service.
And time by time you will reach your goal, and i think that lots of people are making a living online from this.
2232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: October 08, 2015, 11:51:33 PM
Today i sucessfuly sold more than 200,000 doge
And that was a little bit profit but it made my day because the price wasn't stable.
Converting doge to bitcoin is the best thing Smiley
2233  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: October 08, 2015, 11:47:03 PM
I mostly use Kraken. It's EUR denominated and deposits / withdrawals are delivered on the same day (if done before 12 noon and use SEPA). Also, they have been reliable and no major problem so far.

But not every country in europe is involved in SEPA transfers.
So it can take more than 2-3 business days or maybe more.
I don't convert fiat to bitcoin, so i use altcoins mostly in yobit.
2234  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Check Potential Activity on: October 08, 2015, 06:05:30 PM
Today i am having trouble to check the potential activity.
First time i got an error that the server is not responding and is not sending any data.
Now for the second time after 1 minute maybe it shows me Access denied. Please fix it.

Try later it should work. The site is hosted at free hosting and that's probably reason of this problem.

Just try it, and it works!
Quite good site.  Smiley Bookmarked.

By the way, why you not put single ads on your free site?
That's the way we can say "thanks" for you. By give new impression on ads.

All fine, just take some 30 secs to loading.

Disable adblock and you will contribute to the owner of this website.
Lol i checked it with the adblock ON and it is clear, but most of the time i leave it OFF.
Everything now is ok,, maybe that was because of the free shared host plan so it's ok.

Yeah, i just checking on visitorsbit.com again
and realize there are Adverts on that site. "Ads by BitClix"

I click some ads on there Cheesy Great site to check potential activity

I am using this website because it is free, and it does it job really fast.
The ads seems to be from ads.bcsyndication.com
And clicking often in ads would increase the profit of the owner.
2235  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: October 07, 2015, 09:42:26 PM
If Bitcoin exists in 20 years you'll need only one or two to make a living. Bitcoin is all or nothing it will become big or leave just a wiki page and some old forums behind like so many inventions in the past.

How much money does a person need to be retired?
I don't think that just with a single bitcoin you can make lots of money to live from that for the rest of the life.
The suggestion from TheGr33k is also great but it cost now 122,000 dollars at the moment.
2236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] 42500000 Gcoin (GCN) on: October 07, 2015, 09:02:26 PM
Have you tried to exchange them directly in the exchange?
I searched about this coin and seems that is not popular.
It's hard to see any buy order, i think max you can get selling in exchange is <0.01BTC

Thought Id offer it to the forum first to see if anyone wants them.

My suggestion is to buy stuff in that website http://www.worldofelectronics.ie/default.asp
I see that the price are overpriced but it is still better than selling Gcoin in exchange.
It worth around 21€ still better than 0.01BTC ~2€, good luck with your sales.
You right the price hardly overpriced , and delivery is mostly Euro 10 outside Ireland, so  remaining only around half offering amount GCN to buy something. So not much more  can be, than the proposed Exchange .

That website is unprofessional and out-date, the images are stretched.
I haven't made any deep research if people have bought and received anything from this website.
But still is the best deal rather than selling these coins in an exchange, lets see what OP thinks.

2238  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do bitcoin addresses expire? on: October 07, 2015, 08:32:27 PM
suppose you give someone a btc addresses to send you bitcoin, and then they wait 8-12 weeks before sending you bitcoin to that address.

is the address still valid? It will still go to your wallet?

Bitcoin address does not expire it stays alive "forever"
But the other part is that you should always check that it is available in your wallet or account.
Because if you backup your wallet, and after that you made transaction, if your coins are moved to another address (from the same wallet) and after a time you want to restore your wallet with the old wallet backup you may loose your bitcoins as the new address generated will not show to your wallet which means you lost, i will find a thread about this story and will let you know. Basically it does not expire but it's all about if you can access it.
2239  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: October 07, 2015, 08:27:59 PM

Investing in mining data centers (mining farm) is much better that investing in bitcoins.
This just stuck you there, the amount stays the same, so you are just waiting for a jump.
Having your own mining farm, means you have a team and you are earning continually bitcoins.

But these days you'd need a lot of capital to get started and you're up against some massively well funded organisations with access to facilities, tech and infrastructure most can only dream of.

2240  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling 2011 sr. member bitcoin talk account on: October 07, 2015, 08:25:02 PM
Quote
Can you add more information on the account you are selling like post quality, trust feedbacks, open loans, got banned, signed message available for atleast 1year old address and asking price?

It's this account.  0.4 btc obo.

Just a friendly advice to you man, you should not openly announce you're going to sell your own account cuz you  might end up like this guy that received a negative feedback from Mitchell https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=382490 You should be wary Smiley

Well the best thing is to not bump his thread as it is more reachable from others.
But now it's done already, Mitchell has already given neutral trust.
So i doubt anyone would by OP account now, since it may get negative trust in future.
P.S based on market price 0.4 is just to high for a senior member account, you may get a hero for that price.
