Thats the same for anything not really just wins off gambling or lotto.   Pay off your big debts like house mortgage, boring stuff really but you increase your security by reducing the debt and day to day spending like housing or rental costs then it makes you richer even while you sleep.   In the end you cant help but be better off, any gamble bets should be kept to minor pocket book money and roll over a portion of the wins possibly.
Crypto is useful because its segregated from FIAT so I consider it a bit safer for anyone who gets carried away as its not got a direct connection to your main bank account or salary so I'd hope nobody is spending cash they need for future bills.   Ironically its safer then mainstream betting avenues in that way.   The stuff they allow through like scratch cards by the shopping till is tempting people to over spend.
I wish paying off debt really made you richer but for some reason there are people like me who will never learn and as soon as I am done with one debt I start to build another one and that just never really stops. Unfortunately we have corona virus out there right now which causes us to stay at home so I am not really making any more new debts and almost finished with my current one (will be at the start of next month) but I am 100% sure there will be another big debt coming in as soon as this lockdown ends.

This is why people like me should always invest into assets that can't be liquidated that easily, if I get that 200k, instead of paying debts or something, I would definitely go buy a house, I can buy a really really cool house here and I already own my own so I would basically just rent the extra one and even if I can't, simply just having that there, increasing in value over years is more than enough for me.
2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Browser extensions can steal bitcoin on: April 17, 2020, 05:44:37 PM
Most of those extensions have been evil right from time. Day before yesterday, I saw news that Google removed a lot of extensions from their Chrome browser that were suspected to be stealing cryptocurrency addresses. That's a really good move from them and I love that.

But, they are not going to continue doing this, there are still some of those bad browser extensions out there, and not just few, but a lot of them which means that we all still have to be very careful about what we do. These days, if you're not careful about what you're doing, you're going to end up losing something. So, we all gotta be careful, it's part of our duty to secure our assets.

More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?
Around February when the outbreak started, I got news from Cointelegraph that mining of Bitcoin was stopped in China. I don't know if they have started the mining of Bitcoin again, I really need to update myself on that. But despite everything that has happened the cryptocurrency community is still growing and things are working as normal.

I have not had any problem with my transactions and the price has been able to recover a bit after falling to around $3,000 price, and it has remained stable at $6,000, and recently got up to $7,000. Whatever has happened is not that critical, and things will get better.
2224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipulation Or Not? on: April 17, 2020, 08:56:54 AM
Normally some projects like these are usually being pumped and dumped by investors; market manipulation. It's up to you on what you want to do. Investing in these projects is not a must, if to you it is suspicious, then you should forget about it and look for another project.

I avoid these tokens nowadays, though there are few I have seen that happened to be really good and not a price manipulation, and before you know it, they are already at the top of the market. So before you invest in any project, it is good for you to do proper research on what you're investing on, that will give you the proper clue on where things are really heading to.

Live stream of the Countdown Bitcoin Halving 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWB4RAaQSzo
There is really no need for me to be watching a live stream of the Bitcoin halving timer. Whenever I want to check, I just go to the Binance Academy site and the timer is there.

I am looking forward to the halving, though I am not really excited about it, and that's because I don't think it's going to be as most people are expecting. The halving is not going to magically make the price to pump and reach another ATH price. But I'm not worried about it, without that, there are still some regular ups and downs and I do make some profit from the price fluctuation either by trading or just holding the coins in my wallet.
2226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The best stories about your crypto experience on: April 16, 2020, 11:22:51 AM
Lol I can remember that I was really interested in Bitcoin mining when I was still a newbie, because I heard stories that you're going to make a lot of money from mining.

But, back then I didn't have enough, so I couldn't afford the equipment that is needed to set up my mining computer. I had to forget about it, and next thing I started getting interested in cloud mining, but I never tried that one, when I was ready to start investing, someone told me that it's no longer profitable. I had to look for other means, and I never stopped investing.

I can also remember that in 2015 (this is a long story) I was still new to Bitcoin and didn't know that it was volatile. I got a project that I was working on, and my client wanted to make payment through PayPal, but it wasn't functioning in my country then. He recommended that I get a Bitcoin wallet. Before then I have been hearing about Bitcoin, but I have not made use of it. So I installed a Xapo wallet and when I received the money, the next day it reduced. I had questioned Xapo support why they deducted my money, and they told me that they never deducted my money, rather it was due to the price fluctuation of Bitcoin.

Some player seems to be destroying the BTC bankroll.
This could be connected to everyone staying at home right now, I mean there must be some whales who are playing more often these days as well and time to time they get lucky, they do have a lot more money than everyone else so they can chase their losses a lot longer before they can get a win, even with the max bet amount they could literally instead change the odds and bet lesser for a bigger gain and simply continue to do that cycle for a loooong time which means they will eventually win I imagine.

However this can't continue forever of course, eventually they will lose, this was just some lucky back to back (maybe not even same person) and that did hurt the investments of the people who put money here, however think longer term and you will realize house edge will always prevail.
2228  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: April 15, 2020, 07:12:01 PM
There are specific websites for TOR gambling as well that you can play that are not really "legally binding" places but that makes it quite illegal and quite dangerous to play on those places too. They do not care about your IP, they do not care about your KYC, they do not care about basically any law at all because they are deep web and they think they are above the law or at least outside of law on what they do, we are talking about a system where people sell drugs and there are actually killer for hire in those places so gambling becomes like a very mild thing for that place, yet if they just take your money and leave, there is nothing you can do about it neither since nobody even knows who they are in the end. Which is why I still think that with all the advantages of them, the disadvantages are higher.
If it is so illegal in your nation to gamble that you are even scared to gamble with VPN on a crypto casino, maybe you shouldn't gamble at all? I mean I wouldn't prefer to tell someone who is here on bitcointalk that wants to gamble one way or another to gamble to just go away and not gamble, that is a very bad thing to say however there is a level of being afraid that is just way too much to continue.

I personally live in a nation that doesn't allow online gambling yet I still manage to gamble with VPN and also crypto gambling, that way it is enough layers that nobody would catch me or would know I gambled as long as I do not share that information with anyone and nobody checks what I am doing, as long as I am the only one who knows it, who would figure it out in any way?
2229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 15, 2020, 06:03:20 PM
We all know cryptocurrency. We Buying and selling different types of altcoins in different exchanges. Many of altcoins have the same features, total supply, blockchain, even number of decimals, But in their prices, there is a huge difference. So, there is one question that appears at this point that "What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin ?". Is it makes a high price by listing on many different exchanges or the team works behind that altcoin/project? Or something else. This is a big question which all of us want to know.
There is no difference between the Bitcoin we have and the altcoins, they are all the same thing and the prices of altcoins moves with the rate of demand and supply; when the demand is higher than the supply, the price starts to increase, but when it's the opposite of what I just said, the price begins to fall. So for the team that's running the token or coin to achieve this, they are not only going to list it on exchanges.

Listing it on exchanges doesn't do much, they will have to run a promotion so that lots of people will get to know about their coin/token and invest in it. So their marketing skills is very important when it comes to this, because if they are not good at marketing, they will be heading to nowhere.

2231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 14, 2020, 08:23:12 PM
How many times one can loose all his trading accounts before really start trading and earn.

I have lost 5 times some small accounts (less than 100$)
And one little big account (400$) in trading.
For day trading, $100 must be too small capital and because of inappropriate capital there is no wonder why you have lost all of your trading accounts so far. You must focus on two things: first one should be increasing your capital up to ten fold and the second one should be back-tracking where you went wrong in your each of previous attempts.

Even you will be trying with bigger capital, there will be no guarantee that you will keep on consistently making profits out of day trading because day trading is highly dangerous one and losing all the capital in day trading is a common scenario, most of the traders are facing. It would be much better if you change your style of trading into long-term-based one so that there will be plenty of chances to recover all of your previous losses.
2232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every BTC trader should use it on: April 14, 2020, 07:43:14 PM
I have come across many such sites in the past but  unfortunately most of them go dead over the time. That could be because of lack of support from all kind of traders. Most of the sites are offering services for free of cost which could be another reason why they may not find survival methods to keep running so that they could keep serving traders.

I have already bookmarked this topic so that I may visit those sites one by one. I may share my review on which are good for what purposes and which are repeated or could be covered with another one.
2233  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management , how ? on: April 14, 2020, 06:39:15 PM
Setting stop loss of 10% would really be recommendable in times like these but for those days where volatility intensity is high then its better not to put it up yet it can
easily be triggered  or hit on.There are indeed several ways on reducing risk but managing or selecting which one would be used will be our job because not all things will work the same as others.
Honestly I never think about setting up stoploss for my trades because I am trading only bitcoins. Whenever market is going against my prediction, I will just change my positions into holding this way I am managing all may risks associated with my trading. I guess people can easily get rid of risk levels in their trading by simply choosing highly recommended assets like bitcoins. Because, you will be getting second chance like converting your trades into holding instead of booking losses.

Other than converting open position into holding for long-term, I am not having any special strategy for risk management. Still, I am booking profits on each and every trade but in long a time frame.

Maybe both of you didn't really understand each other perfectly and that caused the trouble, I mean gosha didn't really say anything bad, the only thing that was talked on the message was the fact that it is not a simple game like maybe blackjack and there could be more explanations for the game but in reality there is and you can check the websites carefully and you can definitely see them, if not you can always ask here about what you do not understand and people would help you.

Batang on the other hand didn't really think it was a negative, he was just asking, if you didn't really understand it, do you really think this is the place to give a feedback about how you didn't, instead of actually asking how you can, so wasn't pointing towards what you meant, just how you went for it.

That is of course just because, there are different variants of Captcha. Not all of them are as persistent and tedious to get through. The latest version, version 3, is a lot more user-friendly and less annoying. But that depends on the choice of the owner.
That happens to people who are connected to google and have their accounts basically tied everywhere, it is not really privacy friendly situation that you do not have to solve captcha because chrome basically tells you that it knows you are not a bot and a human, which is definitely make things easier for you but do you really want chrome to know that? I know you may say "I don't mind chrome knowing I am a human" but that births the question what else does it knows?

In any other situation I wouldn't mind it neither and I have the same thing but it is not 100% perfect as you might just imagine. Same thing that they basically do like how you visit some websites and they give ads according to what you like, sure you get ads that you are actually interested in instead of random, but do you really want them to know that?
2236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Well Organized Scam Projects on: April 13, 2020, 06:57:34 PM
Only your vigilance and critical thinking will help you avoid falling into the paws of scammers.
Indeed that is why researching before joining or investing in a campaign will make your life easier about it. You know why people keep getting scammed? simply because they are taking the cryptocurrency for advantage, they come for money and easy way to get rich not knowing that they have got with predators in the wild.
Yes, doing due diligence will help anyone to avoid scammy campaigns and projects before wasting efforts or investing with them. I believe it will be more helpful if this community forms a team of people who are experienced in identifying fake team and copied White-Paper kind of things. When that team will be approving a project then only it should come into effect for conducting campaigns and then to be listed on exchanges. This will be simply possible for this community because we are having a lot of powerful people who can influence into exchanges also.

I believe you this way we could identify scammy projects very easily and also participants of campaigns can donate some fee for those the members so that they will not find it as a hard work and they will work more enthusiastically for better environment of this community.
2237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project or Useless projects! on: April 12, 2020, 06:40:16 PM
The only thing that I judge a project is the activity of the team. If the team behind the project is active, constantly working, plus they are sparking interest from the community then I will be 100% backing that coin, however you need to both have the hard working team plus the community interest together, you can't have just one and lack the other one.

Look at Xspec, they are one of the most hard working teams I have ever seen, it is a marvelous currency for what it is trying to achieve, yet nobody really cares about what it wants to achieve so it lacks a lot, however look at Nano, that had a huge community behind it, yet the team couldn't improve fast enough so now its low as well. Both of those show you that you need to be both good project team plus you need community interest, together.
2238  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: April 12, 2020, 11:23:46 AM
When was 2.0 originally supposed to be launched?
I think the initial plan was around May and June periods, I am not sure if that was beta stage or it was full release but I remember talks about those days and that was actually some decent planning considering without corona that is quick enough, with corona those days could very well be times when people go back outside and start living life like we used to which means there could be less people stuck at home and that could mean there would be less people gambling online, just as the 2.0 upgrade happens... I mean I know we can't rush development because it would be risky but the timing is seriously very bad, having 2.0 during corona would have made mintdice so much more money than having it just as the disease is ending and everyone going back outside.
2239  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: April 11, 2020, 06:08:35 AM
I do not remember any announcement about 2.0 being postponed or getting quicker, maybe I am wrong and there was a discussion about it earlier, has anyone talked about it officially? I mean at one hand you have more time to work on something like this when you are stuck at home and have nothing better to do, but on the other hand you are not working at a proper office anymore so you might not be really working 100% neither, so I don't know which one applies here.

Do we know if 2.0 going to come a lot faster now because of the virus or is it postponed like many other thing have been?

If it is quicker that would mean people would get to play 2.0 a lot since they are stuck at home as well. Many casinos actually saw an increase in wagering during this period so I am sure 2.0 would be great marketing to get some of that.

The platform could improve with their own money as well but think of all the money they have right now that goes to bankroll, if they offered an option of actually allowing people to invest into bankroll, they could remove their own slowly when it grows and when they are all out of the bankroll themselves, they could use that money to improve it even further.

Yeah, it eats up on the profits which would be bad for them but at the same time they will have zero potential to lose money, either investors make money and they take a cut from it or they lose zero, which is why investment is a good option. Plus, think of all the money they could use to improve even further, more signature campaign participants and a lot more developer man-hours that could be bought with it.

Yeah it eat ups the profit that supposed to be their but come to think of it if they have more investors came they can maximize their bankroll together they can make their platform sustainable and imagine if many bettors will play they can still earn a decent percentage by the help of investors money, so its up to them if they really want to do this or they select stand by their own.
I didn't mean there is no risk involved with investing into a casino, there are tons of risks involving around that, mainly whales may end up winning a lot of money or maybe the casino gets hacked or anything like that, there are still risks involved for an investor. I meant there is no risks for the casino, if they accept other peoples money as bankroll, whenever someone plays either they are losing so investors wins, or they win and investors lose, the house has zero risk involved, but only the house has zero risk there thanks to not putting up their own money into it.

However considering they have given out a thousand dollars each competition and now made it 500, I doubt they are really short on cash so I am not sure if they will do something like this.
