Stamp is probably dropping so much because it's an exchange where you can actually get your Fiat money out of it, if you really needed to. If I were in China and there was fear about whether or not you would be allowed to withdraw your RMB, I'd be sending my BTC to stamp and sell there and work out how to withdraw it later. I'm pretty sure we are seeing something along those lines happening here.

LOL no..... wtf are you talking about?

You have to get verified first at Bitstamp and if you dont.... say bye to your btc.

2222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 12:52:23 PM
I still think it will go lower, I will be preparing orders around 650-700

I'm sure Gox will lead the market this time. Stamp traders will see how US investors are the richest.
2223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 12:49:24 PM
Stamp is like 10-15$ below btc-e today...

Meanwhile... China is going back up.....

lol

Dammit blockchain.info is down for maintenance, I need to transfer my coins to an exchange just in case. Don't want to touch cold storage.

Fantastic timing for blockchain to go down on maintenance.  Grin

Now I think many are thinking same way as you are. Fear is setting in  Sad
Expect blood bath.

That said I have a schedule to respect, and I can only sell some or buy some at predefined price points.
So I am going down with the ship - if destiny wants it. My coins are not on sale now.
</me wears sailor's hat>
And if the party ever comes to and end, then thank you all for the hell of a ride.

what the fck? LOL just Chinese FUD can make you think it doomed?

Please get off the ship then, .... gee

Hello I mining bitcoins on bitminter pool with butterfly labs 5 GH/s and i dont know why im mining namecoins and bitcoins at the same time and im mining namecoins much more than bitcoins, and i cant find out how to cancel mining of namecoins in settings on website of bitminter.any clue ?or its that everything ok

Why would you want to cancel it? Its merged mining and you're getting both coins.

It doesnt affect your mining performance.

The mining rate is different because namecoins difficulty is lower than BTC's

I think this "news" is actually just btcchina putting a fee.... Undecided
2227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 12:33:52 PM
GUYS forget India.

Quote me on this one. You heard it here first.

The next big emerging market is Brazil.

Hardly news..Brazil has been booming economically for a number of years now, mainly due to the energy sector.

I find it difficult to understand the supposed antipathy in India...it is one of the most IT aware countries in the world with very high mobile usage...wallet aps should prove very popular there.  And givne the high number of immigrants sending money 'home' I imagine BTC could prove very useful to that cohort as well.

We're not ready for India. Transaction fees are worth about a day's work there lol...

EDIT: (obvious exaggeration)

Stop talking out of your ass,

You keep making up things as you're arguing.... I already said BTC will boom in India for all the good reasons. Have you ever traveled around the world? or you're just some kid in moms basement?
2228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 12:28:59 PM

well I bought my coins between $10-130 so yes I am willing to take that risk, I already sold, if the price gonna crash more I will have the chance to get more coins, and if the price will skyrocket it wont be that disappointing.

that been said, I didn't sell at 1200+ I didn't sell at 1000 and I didn't sell at 900, but watching the price dropping slowly makes me think it is good to take some profit now than regret it later .

You do realise how illogical this is?

maybe for you yes, but waiting for a recover is making me more nervous, now I feel a bit relief, but you do whatever you want, you do not have to agree on anything I say....

i also will not watch it go below 800 on stamp. not touching cold storage of course. but 10% of stash will be fired at 800...

Sad to hear how you guys react so panicly to this "news" We dont know what it is and we shouldnt care. Western whales will get slaughtered by China.
2229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 12:26:15 PM
Why would the western whales dump?

I say FUCK CHINA. We know btc in Communist countries is a big NO NO. Lets move to India ..... where btc will shine for all the good reasons.

If btc stays in China, its just gonna be speculative trading vehicle.... where they will cause volatility.

At this stage, we dont want volatility.... we need market adoption to utilize BTC technology.

India won't be friendly towards bitcoin

I agree. We should probably focus on fixing the USA, the world will still follow our lead, and at least we have a democratic system where we have some chance at recourse.

Why would BTC has to rely on USA? Let me guess..... you're 'Merican?

Do you realize USA is the biggest scammer in fiat monetary system?

He might be American, but I'm not.

Yes the US has gained the most and stands to gain the most from the current fiat monetary system in the future.

But the fact is that so far the US has taken one of the most promising stances towards bitcoin compared to most other countries.

I disagree.....

Germany is the one

Beside, European countries will gain from btc the most. I think with the turmoil in Europe, it will push European to btc more easily.

US will follow or left behind.
2230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 12:23:34 PM
If the Western investors react so blindly to Chinese Market...... this would give Chinese officials to manipulate the market.

Think about how the officials manipulating the stock markets in China, with this.... well its global.

There is still a HUGE chance this is a manipulating move and a BIG bears trap.

Why can bears just turn Panda and Bulls just turn Mule?

Dont panic trade is what i advise.

I say otherwise,

India is quite corrupted.... bribes are everywhere. And bitcoin is anonymous...... Good

Majority of Indians use cellphones because the plans are cheapest in the world. Majority of local business dont accept CC due to .... lacks of credit system = higher fee....... Good

It was also reported on major news sites so who knows. I know some banks here in Canada are shutting down accounts that are used for Bitcoin

What reasons do they give when they do that? Is it legal?

Why is it legal or not?

Its their service they can terminate bank acct as they want.

It's more of a grey area when it comes to bitcoin and banks. It's possible they could consider it too high of a risk or the fact that they would lose out on transaction fees.

No i'm not talking about bitcoins

I'm answering the question about legality of terminating bank accts. Ofcourse its legal. Its their service, they have the right to terminate it if they want.

Heck they can terminate your bank account if you're rude to them.

Not quite. There has to be a legal reason to the termination. For bitcoins, with all the bad press of Silk Road and everything else, the banks could have it fall under illegal or misuse of the account and funds. Like how they freeze the accounts for criminals.

Idiot, terminating accounts is NOT seizing them.
Its their business they have the right to terminate accts with customers they dont want to do business with.

Understand?

And they can be taken to court for it. They don't have to GIVE a reason to YOU but they still NEED a VALID reason. But since you have to resort to name calling online, I am done talking to you.

LOL Good luck with that thinking kiddo. I'm done explaining to an idiot anyway.
2236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 11:55:13 AM
I think we might visit 650 today, even if this turn out to be only FUD, it may make some early adopters think about collecting some profits, I am starting to think about cashing half of my bitcoins out, better something than nothing....

I'm not worrying about FUD but we should not take this lightly.

We all know Chinese is very tight in capital control. They dont like their fiat being leaked to anything.

They're probably putting btc into stage of regulations. Until they figure it out, they certainly dont want capital leaking.

They said they allowed btc to be traded as commodity..... but now they figured..... hey what happened when their citizens buy btc and sold in Western countries?

edit: we understand why they dont let BTC being used as currency .... tax evasion.... ok..... but as commodity what are they gonna do about capital leaking?
2237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2013, 11:49:57 AM
If this news was a trick/fud, price should have rebounded already. Now im starting to worry as i bought a bit of the dips  Roll Eyes

We know the meeting is real, but the outcome is not clear.

Inside trading is very common in Chinese stock markets.

I think its a bad news.

Deposit and withdraw is all fine on BTCC and OKCOIN thru banks .

With btcchina Bank Of China withdrawals are *not* working (support is claiming some crap about a browser bug).

The meeting is real. Just the outcome is not clear.

Knowing Chinese stock markets, i'm sure this is inside trading.

That means bad news.
