2241  Economy / Gambling / Re: [New Game] Meckabit.com/jackpot - The Turbo Jackpot Game! [Free Faucet] on: June 01, 2018, 07:09:36 PM
Hi Ryan,

The new game is Jackpot link> https://meckabit.com/jackpot

Best, Meckabit

Ahh cool! It's always great to see new ideas being developed. Hope it takes off!  Grin

ten points for sarcasm  Grin
yep,Meckabit is a copy of bustabit, with some tweaks
I think discord login system is not the best of ideas,I dislike the sites that require you to add social media to your account to be able to play
instead of the usual email/password combo, but other than that it is a decent site (well when the majority of the bugs have been fixed)

Hi Veleten,

Check out meckabit.com/jackpot to see our new game, be interested to hear your thoughts! The login system has now been adapted so that users can OAuth if they so wish or alternatively just create username & password.

Thanks for the feedback!

good, discord login only was too restrictive as many users would not want or able to install discord
will check the game out and see if it is fun
strangely enough now it would not authenticate me with Discord ,weird
will try to reregister using login/password combo

There was some issue with the server and I was admitted in a hospital for Typhoid for weeks. The site will be back online soon.

sorry to hear that, hope you recover soon!
when a site depends too much on just the owner it is both bad and good
sometimes a team is better than just one guy,but I knew a couple of sites where a disgruntled employee who had access
screwed the project up badly,so it is a double edged sword, especially if it was you who spent all the time and effort creating and maintaining a site
then giving full access to some stranger  Roll Eyes  is risky
2243  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 BTCOON.COM | BTC casino 🔥 on: May 31, 2018, 04:35:59 PM
10k Satoshi per day? Is it guaranteed or it will be just a fluke? I do not think you would go around giving people who registered on your site 10k Satoshi daily. And if it is just by chance, then I do not think many people will win this amount of Satoshi. Added to that, you should have stated how exactly people are going to win. I am concerned about this detail because it sounds a little bit suspicious to me. That is why.

be the first one to register there and to tell the tale
I don't think you will be allowed to hoard 10.000 satoshi a day using faucet
most likely another marketing catch, you are limited to 10.000 satoshi claim a day or something similar
in any case, not the site I would recommend to play at,regardless of the amount you can get from their faucet
maybe there will be some guy who tries them out and writes an unbiased review ( 1 post newbies need not to apply   Tongue )
2244  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitKong - Fun & Addictive, provably fair bitcoin game. on: May 31, 2018, 09:59:08 AM

Why does the faucet say funky hour and offers 0.00000600 but it only paid 0.00000100 that’s not rite

their faucet only increases for the so called "Heroes"
and to become one you have wager a whole lot of coins to get into that top table
this is one case of borderline false advertising, where the player is lured by the faucet increase
only to realise that there is a fineprint,as usual, and you are not gonna get even the 600 satoshi faucet after all
also it is not only support on facebook,if you accidentally deletd your cookies or changed the browser and you didn't have facebook connected -you will lose your account
2245  Economy / Gambling / Re: ODD or EVEN Game On-chain | BTC & BCH on: May 31, 2018, 09:29:13 AM
Near the first 100 bets!
Thanks to all the players for the trust and good luck!
We will improve our game more and more.

this is some huge milestone, congratulations  Grin
hope you reach another 100 bets by the end of this year!
and yeah, to add to darkstar's and loycev's comments: lower the house edge,it is simply ridiculously high and not competetive
however you put it, 21% HE is one of the worst I've seen in gambling, make it 5% or less or risk counting bets made at your site in dozens

I cant even load the site properly, just a black page with a bitcoin image background and chat box shortcut. Trying with 2 different browsers (Opera and Chrome) but still cant see what this site is all about?

Is it kind of gambling website using coins instead of fiat?

Aside the fact the loading page issue, all you may find here should be bitcoin sites as you are in a bitcoin forum, in bitcoin gambling board to be exact. So it is not a place to find fiat gambling site.

it loads allright for me,but it has a nasty popup that shows how unprofessional the site is
no gambling site should monetize itself using popups

its very confusing,indeed
I could not find email/password registration
any site that only allows social media logins is a no go for me,so could not even try it out

not worth it at the moment,no 51% attack is going to be financially profitable at the current state of things
but the less adequate mining pools there left,or the better some of them become compared to other
it is very possible that 3-4 of the major pool admins could conspire and pull something like that off

today, three top pools can do the 51% attack on their own, 54.3% of the total network hashing power  at their disposal

What happen to zoomdice?

What do you mean what happen? I think I can summarize it in this way. First they open a new site which is still have so many things gone wrong and that is why they got red trust and people start to say they are a scam site and everything like that. But after period of time they cleared their red trust and now started to gain people trust by making some affiliates program which is I can say it is good. They also finished their competition btw so I think you can consider to play here if you do not find others nice site

this is some.... fantastic summary  Grin  but I think this guy wanted to know why the site was down
it has been offline for a week now and no explanation, warning or other information given by admins
I think they realised that the competition was too much and the site was not generating enough profit to pay for the hosting ( joking)
cannot say anything bad about zoomdice, since I was never that adventurous to deposit there
cannot say anything good either, because I played there using free faucet, not impressed to put it mildly

2251  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Understanding Centralized Cryptocurrency on: May 30, 2018, 09:18:09 AM
How is a centralized cryptocurrency still considered a cryptocurrency ? For my newbie understanding of the blockchain concepts, it should all be decentralized...

they are not mutually exclusive, many (too many for my liking) cryptocurrencies are centralized
the main examples here would be Ripple,NEO,Cardano,IOTA and NEM
all of them belong to top 20 according to coinmarket, yet they are cryptocurrencies and quite successfull as well
funnily enough,Ripple's CEO insists it is not centralized:
"Ripple is not centralized. To be clear, if Ripple disappeared today XRP would continue to function. To me that’s the most important measure of whether something is decentralized."
2252  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [28-05-2018] General Bytes Intalls en New Bitcoin ATMs Across Prague Metro on: May 30, 2018, 07:52:07 AM
good news, the more bitcoin ATMs there are around the globe, the more exposure bitcoin will have
and the more adoption there will be,Czech republic is not a big country and the amount of the ATMs they have is impressive
27 ATMs in Prague only! crazy, there are only 5 in total in my country Smiley

It is good news, but there are two sides to this. The one aside from the positive side is that these ATMs are very expensive to use, and in some cases very vague just to hide the fact that there is a hefty fee people are subject to.

I get it that there is a business behind them that needs to make profit, but in some cases a fee of $20-$30 gets charged, which is just insane, and then I am not referring to the network fees, but just the operational fee.

If someone for the first time tries to buy Bitcoin through an ATM, the first experience is very important. If that first experience is bad, then that means he will likely not advice any of his friends or family to use it, which isn't good.

People buying Bitcoin for the first time do it with a small amount of money, and if you by surprise find out that you don't have $100 worth of Bitcoin but just $75, then it will definitely sting badly. They have to become transparent.

yes,I see your point, but even if it is a rip-off in some cases (which is not always, some ATMs have decent rates)
but then again,it is a business,so if the owner sees that people are not using the ATM,he will adjust the fees and make it more competetive
in any case,I think the "pros" outweigh the "cons" by far
someone totally new to bitcoin will not be able to buy straight away, you usually need a wallet to do so Smiley
so it will be an incentitive to get home, read more about the whole idea, find out some details and this is what makes ATM awesome IMHO

2253  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST, play BTC, LTC, ETH - rakeback, bonuses on: May 29, 2018, 05:11:30 PM
Looks like no chance of enabling LTC investments, at least till 1st June. And also I would like to ask are you guys addicted to these type of competitions, I'm sure this generates a lot of profit for the site but the number of site profit contest has increased

We are still debating about LTC/ETH investments. Actually these competitions do not bring much (or even any) profit to our site, at least not directly. But they attract players for sure and are fun.

Cheers,
Ethan

sometimes increasing the player's base is better in the long run than getting profit here and now
only the owner of the site has the stats to decide whever it is worth it or not though

2255  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-28] Blockchain Will Be Adopted by Every Bank on: May 29, 2018, 10:40:32 AM
Frank Abagnale, a master forger and the real-life character of the popular movie “Catch Me If You Can,” recently stated at the Blockchain Nation Miami Conference that he believes blockchain technology is the future of secure information processing and data settlement.

He said:

“I think you would have to be pretty ignorant not to realise that blockchain is the way for the future, it is the best way to secure information 100 percent, so I think you will see banks, especially accounting practices and accounting firms, all move to the blockchain, keeping records through blockchain. It will be the best way to do so because you cannot break the blockchain, you cannot hack into the blockchain, you can’t change anything in the blockchain.”

Read more... https://www.ccn.com/blockchain-will-be-adopted-by-every-bank-catch-me-if-you-can-forger-turned-fbi-consultant/

not every bank would want to keep its ledger publick and open
blockchain has many applications, but banking is based on fractional reserve and ponzi schemes, just on a global scale
take any central bank and the US treasury and its debt
so yeah, you cannot hack blockchain, but they are not afraid of the petty conmen, they are afraid that the truth comes out
or rather, more people are aware of it and that is a completely different story
2256  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-28] Bithumb banned users from 11 countries on: May 29, 2018, 08:48:56 AM
Will do it in behalf of OP[1], or simply search the title on google and many press articles will show about this ban.

[1] Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bithumb-crypto-exchange-bans-accounts-from-11-countries

Most countries that have been ban is from the middle east and including Nokor with money laundering concerns and to avoid terrorist funding which is a bit useless since this criminals can use any exchange to fund their organizations or whatsoever they call that.

I only found 6 countries from 11.
Anti-laundreing is the main reason. Serbia? They forgot to add Russia and North Korea too Tongue (oops North Koreans cannot connect anyway)

what does Russia or North Korea has to do with money laundering?
or is it just one of the stereotypical cliches, hey they say in press that North Korea and Russia are evil evil,so lets blame them for everything including bad weather Smiley
the usual: anti money laundering and fighting terrorism,read-we want to control everything and remove your privacy
also punish the countries we do not like under any pretext
Iran is the prime example,by the way ...like the kingdom of the money launderers, haha, seriously?
2257  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC is bullshit on: May 28, 2018, 04:23:11 PM
Why the fuck is everything requiring a fucking KYC now, Gambling sites don't even let you fucking withdraw without a fucking CIA style background check but they obviously let you deposit with nothing.

Bpunties used to be fun but now everything requires a fucking KYC.  NO I'M NOT GIVING MY PERSONAL INFORMATION OUT TO SOME FUCKING STRANGER OVER THE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!

THE WHOLE POINT OF CRYPTO IS TO STAY ANONYMOUS

life is unfair anyways Smiley of course they will allow you to deposit without anything
see it as the banks when you come to get a mortgage or a loan-some of the banks will give you such a contract with fineprints, hidden clauses and such
the things that could discourage you are hidden, the "hooks" are printed in big letters and promoted
KYC is a way to control you, they don't want some assets they have no control of to be moved in and out, without getting taxed or at least taken records of
crypto is pseudoanonymous,to be fair and complete anonymity is a myth, read about Chainalysis,Ciphertrace and similar
for example:  https://www.coindesk.com/irs-using-bitcoin-tracking-software-since-2015/
2258  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁NEW UPDATE★★★50% REFERRAL COMMISSION★★★🎁 on: May 28, 2018, 01:24:51 PM

Indeed the warning message about max bet has been removed during the last update because many players asked for it.

But it was probably not a good idea and even more players are complaining now, so it will come back after the next update  Smiley.

Cheers,
Gab

it wasn't the best of ideas indeed, some people will complain a lot about pressing max bet "accidentallly" and having no warning
what you could do is add a settings option to turn it on/off,for some players warnings are distracting and annoying
so a player should be able to turn it off (leave it on by default ,though)
2259  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-23] Vinnik Confessed To Fraudulent Through Cryptocurrency Exchange BTC- on: May 27, 2018, 12:31:17 PM
you would confess to killing president Lincoln and Kennedy if the special agencies get you by the reproductive organs
mind you,he confessed to the fraudulent activities inside of the country ,in Russia
I think he will strike a deal with the prosecution and will be serving some time, but significantly less than he was supposed to
also will "share" some of his stash and fully cooperate in terms of revealing the personal data of the traders etc.
2260  Economy / Gambling / Re: Own Primedice for a day promo is now live! on: May 27, 2018, 12:00:57 PM
again,is there a table or stats so you can see your current standings?
it is a fun competition, but you cannot play blind (unless you are just wagering as usual)
I wonder if there will be players who win the competition or place top 10 and are absolutely unaware of it  Tongue
