Live your life. It's better than being rich.

Being rich allows you to live your life to where you want to be.. not to what you can afford!
2242  Other / Off-topic / Re: Turning my life around on: November 10, 2013, 12:09:45 AM
no women, no smoking, no booze?

jesus, what's the point, just kill yourself now

Lived for 25 years now.. and half of that time was spent knee deep in pussy and drugs/booze... Time to be successful man!

Hey all, hope all is well out in bitcoin land!

Many of you know me.. Not sure how but you seem to.

Anyways, I've decided to try and make a million or more before I die for my nest egg. I am looking for successful people to help me with advice on to how they got to where they are.. And I'm not talking about early bitcoin adopters who bought at $3 and are now rich.. I want advice from people who worked their way up to where they are. (no offence intended to early BTC adopters)

Here is a list of what I am doing to improve my money situation:

1. No more women, All they seem to want is my money.
2. Quitting smoking. (costs me +$200 a month, and stinks to boot)
3. Working overtime when I can.
4. Avoiding gambling sites.
5. Not eating out at restaurants.
6. Buying grocery items only when they are on sale.
7. No more social outings to bars/clubs.
8. Quitting drinking alcohol.
9. Huh
10. Profit!

I make roughly $800 bi weekly. Almost 1 full paycheck goes to rent and bills. This leaves me with roughly one check to hold onto a month.
I owe Geoffolosphy +$335USD for a BTC trade last week. So my paycheck might suck a little bit next round.. But I have to live with that.

If anyone out there is willing to post some tips on how to save money or knows of lucrative investments please post below!

Thanks in advance!

w00t!!!! I finally have moved in to my new place!

I shall take some pictures later today if I find time. Its a nice little 1 bedroom house close to a shopping center!
You guys have no idea how nice it is to sleep in a place that I pay rent for and can call my own. I still have a bit of stuff left at my friends rods house (who's couch I was sleeping on) but other then that I'm almost fully moved in!

I can steal the neighbors WIFI for now if the weather is nice so I am quite content!

I work tonight at 8pm. So I plan to relax a bit. listen to loud music and be content with my newly found lodging.

I still need to save up for some appliances such as toasters / blenders / cuttlery etc etc but all that will come in time as I work.
anyone wishing to send a housewarming gift could use the address on the first post of this thread. Not necesarry by any means now that I am working but every little bit helps me succeed and prosper.

Massive thank you to all those who had kind words and donations for me the past months. It was pretty difficult times but with your help I pulled through and finally tasted success and have a place of my own.

<3 you guys.

PM sent sir.
2247  Economy / Currency exchange / *URGENT* Need $350 worth of BTC ASAP on: November 01, 2013, 10:00:12 AM
Alright guys. KLYE here of JD/Bit-hobo/Sparklecoin fame.. I need to take out the last $350 CAD in my account before the debt collectors can get at it.
Looking to buy ~1.75BTC if possible with $350 CAD via paypal. If you check my feedback you see I have bought and sold via paypal with no problems in the past.

The reason for this urgent transfer is that I have a debt collection company from toronto watching my accounts and I've already hit my withdrawl limit for today, I lost $620 to these bastards last payday and damned if I am going to let them do this again.

I will send the CAD via paypal as a gift to ease any thoughts of transfer reversal.

The faster this can happen the better, I fear by 8am they may check my account and seize the funds in it again. -_-

Reply asap. Trusted members with good rep only. Escrow if preferred.

Thanks in advance,

Kyle.T

Great news everyone!!!

I have finally found a place to rent! After a month and some of being a BTC hobo I've finally found a place that will allow me to rent.
Work has been going good and today is my day off, so nice to relax before I go back to work nights thursday and friday.

A huge heart felt thank you to all those who have helped me and donated to see me through the past little bit. Without you guys I do not know what I would have done. Members of the BTC community kept me fed and gave me hope to keep going and striving for success. You all taught me a lesson in humility and showed me that there is still good in the world. And for this soon to be ex-Bit Hobo it was a great eye opener.

I will keep this thread updated as more news comes and I have time to do so. Smiley

Stay safe guys, And thank you again for everything.

Hail all! Hope everyone is doing well!

FInally a set of days off! Been working like a dog lately. Hopefully it is enough to get me going into housing soon.
Had a pretty bad go and ended up losing over half of my fiat in my bank.. Turns out debt creditors have a hard on for me for an old cell phone I had when i was younger that was supposed to be cancelled (it wasn't).

Been eating well now that I finally have some fiat. Trying to avoid pizza as much as possible. This friday is payday again so hopefully my accounts don't get raped like they did on the 19th. -_-

Still technically a hobo. As I am crashed out on my friends couch still (and he is still unemployed, I've been buying groceries for the household) but hopefully I can find a nice place to rent this weekend as I have saturday and sunday off of work. Smiley

Anyways, Just a small update for those that have been following me.

Stay safe guys,

Kyle.T

Hail all. Hope everyone is ok.

Well, I'm just going to bare my teeth and utter nasties at Kouye *Insert nasty here*

I've been working night shifts and haven't had a whole hell of a lot of time to do much of anything internet related.
Finally a set of days off so I am quite happy to be able to relax and do some things i enjoy.

Ended up getting screwed by debt collectors and losing $620 (my own damn fault, cell phone from when I was 19).
They are watching my accounts so my fiat is about as safe as a baby in a wolfs den, which really sucks. :/

I'll try and pop on here more I guess. Seems I was missed.

Stay safe all,

Kyle.T

How about a trade? I could buy someone for example a game on Steam or something else digital, and then I get approximately that value in Bitcoins?

EDIT: Nevermind, I managed to solve it. Thanks anyway. Smiley

EDIT2: Nevermind, I didn't solve it at all. I managed to get VirVox to work, but they need to verify my withdrawal. I thought that only happened the first time. Sad

Virwox takes 3 days. :/

Are you getting paid extra for working on Canadian Thanksgiving?

Double time and a half sir! Last night should put about +$300 on my paycheck. Smiley

This is a lot of pizzas as you say Cheesy

But you need to wait for the check first

I get paid on the 19th, So quite excited about that. Hoping to have enough to get a small apartment of my own. Smiley

You say you are in Canada? In Winnipeg? I think there is a salvation army there, and they may have soup kitchens or even shelter.
I know it may not be the funnest place to hang around, but its one option if its safe enough to go there. Sometimes it can be a bit of a rough crowd around the charities for the poor.

Kind of like trying to get water in the Serengetti, but ya got to watch out for them crocodiles or lions or other beasts at the watering hole.

I am wondering how do you transfer BTC into cash money, in order to pay at restaurants right away?
Please tell.

Have you considered getting wallets for any of the 'alt-coins', as this might expand your donations into those areas?

For example, I may not have much bitcoins to give you, but if you had a netcoin wallet, then I could give you a small amount of netcoins. ( Netcoin.pw to download the netcoin wallet )

I don't have much bitcoins right now, but I am trying to get a loan as you can see at this link here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=310357.0

If someone loans me 100 BTC, I will give you 0.04 BTC Smiley

By the way, I also own a website named: SaveMe.info that I am considering developing, where people can ask for donations in crypto-coins

I'm in Brandon,MB. And the salvation army here is filled with people that in my opinion need to be helped more so then myself. I'd far rather a family have a place to sleep/eat them have myself taking up any limited resources that they may offer. Good luck with your loan. I haven't got a clue what use a netcoin is.. and am quite leary to download any wallet i do not trust..

I appreciate your concern sir. But keep your .04 if you do infact get that loan. I have enough BTC squirrreled away at the moment to get myself a pizza. Smiley

Hey Mr. Hobo, mind clicking some pics of your place and post here?

All the pics you have posted before are just you and a wall, which could be your home's wall .
Probably you came outside, took pics and went inside again with free BTC to play justdice. YAY.

Also if peoples are donation it doesnt means you should start begging btc for food etc.
I am sure you can find a part time job offline or online..

I'll snap pics of where i frequent when I get off work at 8AM tomorrow morning. I don't have time right now as my shift starts soon.
thanks for your concern..?

SaveMe.info

For a small introductory fee of only 0.05 BTC, you can get your own donation page at SaveMe.info for a whole month.

Private message just_me at bitcointalk.org to arrange to get your own donation page

Lmao.. Not even maybe man.. That .05 could be put to far better use.. that's like 1/2 of a medium pizza. and at least I get fed then for sure.
2259  Other / Off-topic / Re: Officially a BTC hobo! *update* on: October 14, 2013, 10:08:03 PM
You go off on me when I said remove yourself from the computer and go make some money to feed yourself?  People have been really giving here, but at this point, I dont see you doing anything to feed yourself, just begging for people to buy you a pizza.

Yea, you have a job.  But you havent gotten paid yet.  So, I recommended, instead of continuing to ask people to buy you food, some options you had to make a few bucks.

Sell blood, sell sperm, wash dishes somewhere in trade, anything.  But asking on here and waiting for someone to once again feed you for no reason is kind of lame.

My two cents

I appreciate your two cents. I just woke up from a 12 hour night shift. So you saying "I don't see you doing anything to feed yourself" looks ridiculous man. I'm working all night in a loud sometimes messy plant crushing omega 3 rich hemp and flax for the world markets.. So don't you dare have the nerve to tell me I'm not doing anything to help myself.

My 2 cents.
