Ashwin is the Saviour! Everytime team India is in trouble, he steps up and takes control of the situation. He did it in Sydney 2021, the last ball against Pakistan in the T20 world cup and today against Bangladesh. He won't be available for long and India needs to find someone like him. Good comeback by India with today's win they also won the series.

7 down, the gamble of Unadkat and Patel being sent early dis not work and Panth is out. India is deep trouble the pitch actually is now working more in favour of bowlers. Iyer and Ashwin have the ability to chase a small lead of 65 runs but after seeing Bangladesh bowlers today it would not be easy for them. India still has lot of time in hand but very less wickets.

I hope this combination works in favour for India. If it doesn't then we might see a good amount of pressure going onto Iyer and Panth. They looked quite impressive last time but who knows what might happen this time. I am pissed with KL Rahul, he is struggling in every format of cricket. This time the new selectors need to look into his performance as a batter.

4 down again!  Bowlers are batting now. Hoping that they last for quite sometime tomorrow. Not sure why Unadkat was sent early and also Patel. The management again experimenting new batting order. Kohli this time was out for just 1 run.

144 runs lead, still not easy for India as the top order and the middle order is struggling. After watching Panth and Iyer in the first innings I think India will easily chase 144 runs to win this teat series. I was not able to watch the full match was checking in between so no idea what happened in the slip. Still I would say good bowling by India.

Sam and Stokes got such big amount because they were part of the T20WC winning squad. I am not sure what made MI go after Green for that amount. Last year they paid a huge amount for Ishan Kishan. In my opinion CSK purchase was the best as they got an all rounder. They also have Jadeja who is also an all rounder. Now both of them will play under the captaincy of MSD.

India completely in control on the 3rd day. Bangladesh top and middle order are all out and now the tail enders are batting. I think they might not even give a lead of 100 to the Indian batter. One thing I am certain this match will end on day 4. Axar Patel has been the star bowler of this session. I was expecting the same from Ashwin as the pitch is good for spin bowlers.

As seen in the first test match and in the first innings of this test match Bangladesh's batting lineup has struggled against the Indian bowlers. Now the pitch has become friendly for spinners and I am sure Ashwin and Patel will utilize this pitch. I am saying this because most wickets taken by Bong bowlers came from spinners such as Shakib and Islam. They have not lost any wickets at the moment but they will surely do on day 3. If Indian batters were not able to get those runs then knowing Bangladeshi batters it wouldn't be easy for them.

A lead of 87 runs is not that much but looking into the pitch condition it won't be that easy for Bangladesh to chase it. The pitch is more suitable for spinners now and Inam sure Ashwin and Patel will utilize it to full potential. Thanks to Panth and Iyer India were able to save their face otherwise chasing 227 was looking like a big task for Indian batters.

Three wickets in quick succession after Rishab Panth got out. India is now fully dependent on tail enders for them to increase the lead. Ashwin can bat but I have no Idea about Unadkat. This is why India should not have dropped Yadav in the second test. He not only batted well but also bowled brilliantly in the first match.

Bangladesh are back again at one point they were struggling against Panth and Iyer but now they will try to get the last few wickets in order to restrict the lead to 100 runs. The pitch is also looking good for bowlers now. It would not be that easy for the Bangladesh batters too when they come to bat.

He should have played with a little but of patience. There was no need for him to take any risk.

Iyer is still playing and all hopes are now on him. He needs to stick on the pitch and stay as long as possible. Meanwhile Ashwin needs to rotate the strike and go after those odd balls. The lead is only of 27 runs which needs to be of 200+ runs.

Rishab Panth is going strong today. He is batting at an average of 90+ which is agressive in test format. At this rate he will get his century today. Shreyas Iyer is playing with a cool head and not taking any risk. If these two batters can stay till the end of day 2 then we can expect a good score on the board and a good lead too.

India's top batting order again failed in the first innings. KL Rahul has not scored much runs in any format of cricket for sometime now. Kohli again failed and this time Pujara too. Everything now depends on Panth and Iyer. I hope Panth delivers this time otherwise he might get dropped.

After taking 4 quick wickets and allowing India to only score 100+ runs Bangladesh are back in the game. The Bangladeshi bowlers are bowling brilliantly and I am sure they would be going after Panth.


As expected 

Archer was out because of his elbow and back injury. The series is scheduled next year end of January and he will recover by that time. Tooley and Brook both are back in the team. The last time England played an ODI was against Australia and they were completely destroyed by the Aussie team. It would be interesting to see whether these changes will help them against the South African team. 

BCCI is only following the directive of Government of India. Recently the Indian External Affairs Minister has said that there will be no cricketing ties between both the countries. BCCI cannot do anything as it has to follow the rules set by the government. Indeed PCB will lose a good chunk of revenue as India won't travel to Pakistan for the Asia cup. Ultimately both boards will agree for a neutral venue in the end for both the tournaments.

Don't you read the newspaper or surf news portal website of Pakistan? They are blaming Pakistan's bad performance on Ramiz Raza and the captain Babar Azam. I guess the way you have questioned simply means that either you tend to ignore what is happening with PCB or you are just someone who tend to ignore everything for the pride of the country.

Expectation from a countries cricket board which is struggling to give a decent amount of electricity supply to its citizens is more than you as an individual living in India would think about in your every day life. Pakistan team in the past were a contingent to fear and now they are so down with uncertainty that it is better to not bet on them.

In my opinion after Imran Khan was removed from the country as the PM this situation was waiting to happen. He was the individual who was trying to improve the level of cricket in Pakistan and above all abolish the authoritarian type of selecting a chairman of the cricket board. But, eventually those who are responsible for looting cricket board money and ruining its existence are back. I reckon dark days are again coming back.  

Those new projects will go as planned but might stop after a year or so due to financial issue. When Najam Sethi was the chairman a lot of favouritism was done on selection. Unwanted & unusual spending were also made. He will again do the same as a chairman of PCB. I still believe Ramiz Raja should have been given some more time. Losing a test series and talking sometimes talking nonsense to media doesn't mean he was bad for the future of cricket in Pakistan.

The Indian team management has completely gone mad or have left their brains somewhere. Why was Kuldeep Yadav dropped from the team? Such inconsistency in selecting and backing a spinner is the reason why India haven't found a replacement spinner who can play in all formats. He was the Player of the match in the first test and now dropped in the second.  Imagine what might be going through his mind from yesterday.

Najam Sethi is close to the Sharif family and that is one of the reason he is again being appointed as the PCB chairman. When you mix politics with the game the game only suffers and that is what is happening to Pakistani cricket. If you look back in the past when Najam Sethi was the chaiman he practically did nothing whereas Rameez Raja was much better as he was able to convince International teams to play in Pakistan.
